Zum ersten Mal machen wir Kurzurlaub in Tegernsee. Wir sind angenehm überrascht von der intakten Natur und den schönen Häusern. Abends trifft man sich natürlich im Brauhaus Tegernsee, eine Großgastronomie mitten im Ort. Das muss nicht zwangsweise negativ sein, hier passt alles bestens. In verschiedenen Gewölben haben etwa 1000 Gäste Platz. Draußen vor dem Tor noch einmal ca. 400 unter Dach und Fach. Obwohl teilweise etwas Stress, sind die Serviceleute immer freundlich und haben einen netten Spruch auf ihren Lippen. Unsere hellen Biere und die Krautwickel waren sehr lecker, ebenso die Leberknödelsuppen. Besonders aufmerksam gekümmert haben sich Vicky, Agnes und Melli um uns, herzlichen Dank noch einmal dafür! 😘 Übermorgen reisen wir wieder ab. Gott sei Dank gibt es das Bier seit einiger Zeit auch bei uns in Hamburg! Liebe Grüße von Holger und Elke

Bei einem kurzen Aufenthalt in Tegernsee habe ich natürlich im Bräustüberl gegessen und dieses Mal als Dessert nicht, wie gewohnt, "Marillen Palatschinken" bestellt sondern erstmals "Apfelkiacherl". Auch diese Portion ist reichlich, sehr gut und ebenfalls ein "Augen- und Gaumenschmaus". Obwohl dieses Mal nicht nur, wie üblich, der Biergarten sehr gut besetzt war, waren in den Bierstuben alle Tische besetzt und dabei ist mir besonders der Service in meinem Bereich aufgefallen. "Alexandra" hatte immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht, war zu jedem Gast sehr freundlich, gab bereitwillig Auskunft und erfüllte, nach meinen Beobachtungen, auch jeden Sonderwunsch. Mein Bestelltes wurde immer schnell serviert. Alexandra ein besonderes Lob !!

Unfortunately it was very full, we had to wait about 10 minutes (look for it ourselves) for a free table. Drinks and food came in a reasonable time. Unfortunately the Wiener Schnitzel was very dry.

My husband and I are on vacation in the region around Lake Tegernsee and had lunch at the Braustüberl both yesterday and today on the recommendation of my brother-in-law. The service deserves 10 stars. Despite the restaurant being full, the ladies and gentlemen always arrive quickly. Orders are taken in no time and are served very quickly. Food is warm and tasty and drinks are always cold. So we tipped accordingly. If we go on holiday in the region again, we would be happy to come back.

The food tasted good but considering that the order was served in less than 10 minutes, you wonder how freshly prepared it was. The staff is quick, maybe that's why you get a little stressed to place your order as quickly as possible. A bit of a shame, but otherwise everything is good.

Donnerstag Abend am Tegernsee, das Bräustüberl ist gut besucht. Die Platzsuche dauert dennoch nicht lange und unsere feundliche Bedienung nimmt sogleich die Getränke Bestellung auf. Als sie diese bringt is das Essen dran .... Dies kommt auch flott und ist sehr lecker 😋

No holiday in the Tegernsee Valley without stopping off several times for exemplary fried knuckles, beer brats, white sausages, Leberkas... and, and, and... It's nice that this address exists! Absolutely top recommendation and a must!

Im Bräustüberl Tegernsee haben wir uns richtig gastlich aufgehoben gefühlt: Leckeres Essen, das gute Bier und dann - trotz Hochsaison, vollem Biergarten und heißem, schweistreibenden Wetter - gut gelaunte Mitarbeiterinnen und MItarbeiter voller Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut (trotz Touristen-Zentrum) - bitte so beibehalten, dass wir Gäste nicht "abgezockt" werden. Kurzum: Ein Ort mit der berühmten urtümlichen bayerischer Gastlichkeit - obwohl das Bräustüberl Tegernsee in einer Touristen-Hochburg steht.

Top food: The pork knuckles were very crispy and juicy on the inside. The seasoning as you heard it. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Despite being full, the drinks and food arrived within a few minutes. And what can you say about the ambience? The Tegernsee right outside the door in a fantastic area. We always enjoy coming here from Munich to eat. Many thanks to the team!

Great location, right on the lake. Hearty home cooking at very reasonable prices, 0.5 liters of beer €3.30. Were there on a sunny Monday afternoon in September, almost all the outside tables were occupied, and that's with the huge amount of space available. The grill haze was very good.

Despite the high number of guests on a sunny, hot Sunday, everything was good. By luck we got a place in the beer garden. The staff was friendly and responded well to requests. The food is Bavarian good and plentiful, a culinary delight not just for tourists. The prices are all reasonable and have a good price-performance ratio.

Always worth a trip, even if many tourists from all over the world stop here. The food here is very good and the conditions are very nice. Only the toilet ladies are a bit annoying, almost like beggars, they stand in front of the toilet entrance instead of cleaning. But despite all this we will come back.

Always a good plan after a day at the lake

Great food and I came out super quick. Amazing beer. And sooooooo cheap! We paid around a 100€ for appetizers, mains and 2 round of beers for 4 people!

Creamed mushrooms with bread dumplings were mediocre, but only lukewarm. - Steamed dumplings are not even homemade, they are bought ready-made. Not a good sign for a restaurant. - Daily dish “spar ribs in spicy sauce” was terribly bad. Undercooked on one side, tough and cold (despite reheating). The sauce was not homemade but Hellman’s Paprika Sauce (the taste is unmistakable). Conclusion: The restaurant is a typical tourist trap, you should rather visit a small Bavarian inn where you can experience authentic Bavarian cuisine.

The beer garden is huge, but unfortunately very crowded and loud. We had to wait for a table and the food came quickly but was just average. The atmosphere felt more like mass transit. Prices for Tegernsee are okay, but overall not a place to stay.

We went to BrauStuberl for a reunion with friends. The food was absolutely wonderful, the pork shank and the knoedl were fantastic. The staff were very accommodating and brought quickly the food out for all children so they could eat earlier and then settle down. Great service, great food, great atmosphere, excellent beer. I would go back anytime.

The Bräustüberl Tegernsee is a must when you are at Tegernsee. Despite its exposed location right on the lake in a very touristy area, it has remained down-to-earth and very attractive in terms of price for years. The fresh half beer directly from the brewery next door currently costs only €3.30 (August 2024), and in addition to the classic half knuckle (only €12.80), there are also real traditional Bavarian classics like the unfortunately rare and really very good one Kalbslüngerl (€13.80 with bread dumplings) on the menu. You can always find a place, outside or inside. Card payment is no problem, service is attentive and very fast. Top!

I had the pleasure of dining at the Bräustüberl and can only say: it was an absolute pleasure! I ordered the Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad and side salad, and every element on the plate was perfectly prepared. The Wiener Schnitzel was golden brown, wonderfully crispy and tender – exactly as it should be. The potato salad was wonderfully fresh, with just the right balance of acidity and creaminess, and the side salad topped it off with crisp, fresh ingredients. The service was extremely attentive and friendly, and the ambience at the Bräustüberl contributes to a truly cozy and traditional experience. I can highly recommend this restaurant and am already looking forward to my next visit!

We actually always enjoy coming here. The knuckle is great, as is the Bräubatz. Unfortunately, there is little sense of Bavarian conviviality left. On our last visit, after paying, 2 people out of 3 wanted to quickly go to the toilet and then drink up. But I was asked (we hadn't finished drinking yet) to leave the table so that the next people could be served. So paying, using the toilet, drinking is not welcome. It's a shame that they are now so consumer-oriented.

We first ordered the knuckle and the cream mushroom (vegetarian). The knuckle was good in flavor and juicy for what it is. A recommendation with delicious potato salad, but always not a culinary masterpiece. The cream mushroom was homemade. I also have to emphasize that the mushroom cream sauce was delicious and filling. Our waitress, a young man who really cared about our well-being, was very committed. A small suggestion for improvement: wipe the table above with a clean cloth if there is leftover sauce on the table. 7.62/10
