We went to the Bräustüberl with friends for a really, really good snack. Service, atmosphere, food, and of course the beer – everything was excellent. We'll definitely be back.

The food was okay, the steamed dumpling was delicious! The service was very good, but unfortunately it was really noisy.

The Bräustüberl Tegernsee is, in our opinion, one of the best traditional inns in Bavaria. The moment you arrive, you feel the special blend of Bavarian coziness, tradition, and a lively atmosphere. The quality of the food, the service, and above all, the very fair value for money make every visit a true pleasure. The menu offers a wide selection of Bavarian classics – fresh, hearty, and authentic. We particularly recommend the half oven-fresh pork knuckle, perfectly crispy on the outside and incredibly juicy on the inside, as well as the oven-fresh beer-braised pork belly, a wonderfully aromatic pork belly with a robust crackling. The Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad also impresses with its size, flavor, and freshness. For those looking for something lighter or vegetarian, the creamy mushroom sauce with bread dumplings is an excellent option. The dish is creamy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Also very popular are the half roast chicken, the Tegernsee sausages, and the various soups such as pancake soup, potato soup, or liver dumpling soup. For a snack or a light meal, there are classic Bavarian delicacies like Obazda (a Bavarian cheese spread), cheese platters, sausage platters, pretzels, or homemade steak tartare. Everything is freshly prepared and served in generous portions. The apple or apricot crepes are also a real highlight and the perfect finishing touch to a delicious meal. The freshly tapped Tegernsee beer – whether light, special, or dark – is a must. Perfectly chilled and exactly as you would expect in a traditional establishment. Service: A big thank you to the entire team! The service is friendly, efficient, and very well organized – despite the high volume of customers. We would especially like to commend Melli, who took incredibly attentive and professional care of us. The portions are generous, the quality is excellent, and the prices are truly reasonable and absolutely fair for the location on Lake Tegernsee. Here you can still get authentic Bavarian cuisine at reasonable prices – something you rarely find these days. In short: A thoroughly enjoyable and top-notch restaurant experience: outstanding food, an authentic atmosphere, friendly service, efficient service, and a price-performance ratio that is truly convincing. The Bräustüberl Tegernsee is an absolute must-visit for us.

The setting was really nice for eating outside (for us), we enjoyed our lunch but the service wasn't very friendly, plus you can't get a carafe of water.

Today I only have one complaint! That the doors to the toilets are always open, that can't be right, you can see from the Breustüberl right into the toilets, that's completely unacceptable.

The Bräustüberl Tegernsee is a true classic for me: great value for money, generous portions, fair prices, and quality that truly impresses. The atmosphere is wonderfully rustic – wooden tables, pub charm, and a clientele ranging from locals to day-trippers. The excellent beer selection is particularly noteworthy: various Tegernsee specialties on tap, all freshly poured and perfectly chilled. Yes, it's often quite noisy, especially during peak hours – but that's all part of the charm. The murmur of voices, the clinking of glasses, and the laughter of the guests convey a great deal of joie de vivre. Anyone looking for a cozy, authentic Bavarian pub with good beer and fair prices will find exactly what they're looking for at the Bräustüberl Tegernsee.

We were there on two consecutive days. The boiled beef with vegetables was excellent. The goulash soup was also very good. The char was also very good, unfortunately only half a char for 16 euros!? The male servers are super relaxed, friendly, and cool. A few female servers come across as a bit arrogant. The noise level in the large hall is sometimes very, very loud. Otherwise, a charmingly Bavarian experience.

A charming Bavarian inn. Of course, it's geared towards large numbers. It was quite quiet when we were there, due to the time of year. The food arrived incredibly quickly and was good. We were able to park right in front; the first hour was free, then €2 per hour. Parking will be tight there in the summer, though. The restrooms were clean. The value for money was excellent. We paid €45 for three people, including food and drinks. Wow. Not bad at all. Like I said, I don't even want to imagine what it's like here in the summer. But even now, there were plenty of friendly staff. I think they're trained for this. In any case, we were very satisfied. Thank you!

Always a must at Lake Tegernsee

Always worth a visit! While it's often crowded, so you can't completely shake the feeling of being processed like a factory, the ambiance and especially the friendliness of the staff more than make up for it. The menu is impressively varied, leaving little to be desired for a traditional brewery pub. Only the much-praised pork knuckle often arrives not only crispy but also rather dry... 😉

A good restaurant right on Lake Tegernsee. They offer excellent homemade cuisine with very generous portions. Considering this, it's quite reasonably priced, especially given its location directly on the lake. I was there on my racing bike, but unfortunately, there's a large area where bicycles are prohibited, so I had to lock my bike to a tree.

It's a tourist trap, but you can't complain. Beer, food, view – everything's great 👍

I've been coming to the Bräustüberl about two or three times a year for the past eight years. It's truly remarkable how this extremely popular brewery pub consistently offers high quality, very friendly service, and really reasonable prices—in fact, the beer is exceptionally good. The service is incredibly fast, whether on the terrace in summer or inside on days like today, without feeling rushed. We arrived at lunchtime today, and it was almost completely full. The owner found a table for six for us and two other guests and asked if it was okay if we sat together. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone who wants to enjoy good Bavarian food and a half-liter or more of draft beer.

Sure, it's touristy here, but the Brausüberl is as much a part of Tegernsee as the Hofbräuhaus is to Munich. And you can really sit comfortably here, eat well, and enjoy a relaxing beer. The prices are perfectly reasonable too. I'll definitely be back.

This is a place where the world comes together. Despite its size, the service is good, the food delicious, and the Tegernsee beer cold and fresh. The view of the lake from the outdoor seating is simply magnificent and breathtaking.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. The staff were very polite and attentive; our dogs were immediately given drinks and even treats. First off: It's a classic and very traditional brewery, and the ambiance lives up to its promise. The place is always packed, both inside and out! The outdoor area is, of course, wonderful, right by the lake. However, because it's located in a vaulted cellar, it's extremely noisy (my iWatch kept warning me), and it's almost impossible to hear each other at the table. You might like that, or you might not. The food was okay, but the selection was rather limited. I expected a bit more. On the other hand, the service was quick and attentive!

The food is very good and filling 😋. Occasionally, the cutlery is a little dirty, but this is very rare. It's still very hygienic. For people who prefer a quiet atmosphere, it's probably not the best choice, as it's a bit louder than a typical restaurant. A highly recommended place. 👍🏼💯🍻

Right from the start: A visit to the Bräustüberl at Tegernsee is an absolute must when you're in Tegernsee. Arguably the best beer in Bavaria (and therefore the world) is brewed and served fresh here. In the historic vaulted cellar and rustic atmosphere, you can easily linger and fully experience the Bavarian way of life. On sunny days, it's very pleasant to sit under shady parasols and enjoy the moment. Absolutely the best for miles around when it comes to authentic Bavarian pub culture.

A place you'll love visiting on Lake Tegernsee, especially on the terrace when the weather is nice. While it's always full in good weather, you rarely wait more than 10 minutes for a free seat. The food is good, the beer even better, and the prices make you want to come back. And once you've placed your order, it's brought quickly. What's missing from 5 stars? The number of servers per table is significantly too few, especially outside. It can sometimes take 20-30 minutes for your turn. I would like to see improvements in this regard. Either more people divide the work (taking/cash, clearing, and bringing orders could be handled by different people), or they invest in appropriate technology. The waiters still write on paper pads...these days, there are various technological options for processing orders faster and more accurately.)

A traditional restaurant that hasn't developed in a positive way. It's far removed from its former coziness and friendliness. The food, such as the cordon bleu, is very small, ideal for children, and looks like it was assembled by a machine. There's no wine or wine spritzer either. But the crowds are still there, right?

It's a very noisy place, you sit at a shared table with other people who stare at your plate and comment on how exactly you should eat this or that dish. The waitress was unfriendly, making it clear right away that she didn't speak English and that it was our problem, not hers.

We stopped here by chance with friends during a stopover and had a wonderful time. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere with a fantastic view of Lake Tegernsee. The food is delicious, but you can also relax here with a delicious drink, enjoy the view and the atmosphere, and then take a short walk along Lake Tegernsee. If we're in the area again, we'll stop there again.

The truth is that the value for money is good, the waitress was very friendly, and the food... well, if it arrived piping hot, it would surely be better. Soup, chicken, pork, and cheese. A portion of each, with their corresponding beers. The setting, the lake, is a marvel with its autumn colors.

We're a weekly guest at the Bräustüberl. But today the sauce for the dumplings was almost inedible. It was a complete, over-seasoned mush from a convenience store. I don't complain about the wasp that was served with it. Things like that can happen and have nothing to do with the quality of the food. We also paid full price for everything. Despite complaining about the almost inedible sauce and returning the dumplings to the kitchen.

We were there on Sunday around lunchtime. There were still outdoor seating areas, but the infrared heaters warmed us up nicely. Food and service were good, quick, and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the prices. A 0.5 liter beer was €3.30.
