The food was consistently delicious. Unfortunately, we didn't feel welcome in a wheelchair and were initially ignored by several employees, so we almost left. The table service was also very unfriendly and felt like a mass procession, even though far from all the tables were occupied.

The atmosphere is really nice, but the service is very cold and unwelcoming, personally. There are no clear menus in English (the titles remain in German), and not all the main ingredients are translated. There's no allergen list, and the waiters didn't ask about any intolerances. I found the food a bit disappointing: it arrived cold and the quality wasn't suitable for the location. The price was consequently disproportionate. For three people, two of whom have been to Germany many times and love local food, we left over three out of four dishes.

Whenever we're at or near Lake Tegernsee, a visit to the Braustübl is a must. It has a spacious beer garden with well-maintained seating. The service is fast, good, and friendly. The food and drinks arrived promptly. The beer roast was delicious, as always, and the new Tegernseer non-alcoholic beer is also very tasty.

Accompanying dishes include classic delicacies like roast pork with dumplings, Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage), or a hearty snack platter. Everything is down-to-earth, hearty, and goes perfectly with the beer. The service is prompt, friendly, and pleasantly uncomplicated – just what you'd expect in a Bavarian pub. Despite the crowds, you feel welcome and well looked after. Whether after a hike in the mountains, a trip to the lake, or simply enjoying a cozy beer with friends, the Braustüberl is always worth a visit. A taste of Bavarian joie de vivre that you simply have to experience!

There were 10 of us and from the moment we entered the attitude was very inappropriate with insults from the waitress.

We love coming here every year. But honestly, at least one type of wine could be on the menu. I know it's a brewery, but not being able to drink wine with dinner is always a big compromise for me.

Ambience, food, and drinks were good But service was terrible We had a bite to eat and a beer. When we played cards with our beer, we were told it was forbidden because it was part of the meal. When we paid, they complained that we didn't tip, and our bill was thrown at us. I would personally like to thank the employee, S., for ruining our evening. I won't be coming again.

Today we ordered the schnitzel and half a grilled knuckle of pork. When the knuckle arrived, I asked if it was a whole knuckle. With a grin, the very friendly Cora said it was a very large half knuckle 😄 During the meal, which was served in record time, the very strong sun shifted, and the truly attentive Cora was there and offered to open the parasol for us. I wish that were the case everywhere in restaurants. And hey, for the quantity and quality on the plate, the prices are very fair.

The Bräustüberl has a very large outdoor terrace. When the weather is nice, you can sit comfortably outside. We were there on a very sunny day; it was packed, but if you wait a bit, you'll soon get a table. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and quick. Despite the large crowd, they always had a smile on their faces. The food is very meat-heavy, but you can still find some vegetarian dishes.

Fantastic place. The staff worked so hard and just so busy. I was impressed watching them and I insisted on a good tip for my server. They say their beer is everyone's second favourite beer and I can see why. It was stunning. Food was really good too. Would love to have been able to go back. Good beer garden with top service. Friendly waiters who work really quickly. No long waits, even when the beer garden is packed. The food loses one star because the side dishes, like dumplings, are kept warm while they're fully cooked, which affects the texture and taste. The restrooms could be cleaner. The cleaning ladies posted outside apparently don't see it that way, as they're just busy on their phones.

Food prices have skyrocketed. Raw material prices and labor costs are stable or even declining. We can't survive any longer, and it's the end.

The Braustüberl is always something special, of course, and the beers are all really good and fresh. The food still has a lot of room for improvement. Aside from the fact that the daily special (Monday Cordon Bleu) is regularly sold out by 6:30 p.m. at the latest, and other dishes like Leberkäse (meatloaf) or French fries (insufficient costing) are also sold out by dinnertime, the roasted potatoes could also be improved considerably (spices and roasted flavors – I, as a layman, can do better than that). Unlike modern breweries, they also stick to their no-longer-used concept – only beer and no alcoholic alternatives for non-beer drinkers – although anyone with even the basics of business should realize that alternatives could also make beer drinkers happy, with a margin that is probably three times higher than that of beer sales. For me, as a beer drinker, it's still an experience, and the service is really good and strives to make every guest happy, as far as possible with the limited offerings.

One of the best pork knuckle places! A “must visit” when you’re in Tegernsee

Always happy to come here. A rustic brewery with the cheapest draft beer for miles around. A liter of delicious Tegernseer beer for €6.60 makes you want to stop by for more than just one. The food is also delicious, topped off with extremely friendly service.

We were guests at the Bräustüberl Tegernsee yesterday around lunchtime. It was incredibly crowded...we thought we wouldn't get a seat. No way...a very friendly waiter helped us. We sat at table 105, and the waiter on duty that day immediately made eye contact with us as he passed by. He was also very quick, and we ordered a drink...which arrived quickly. He took our food order, which didn't take long either. All in all, top-notch service from start to finish. Top-notch food quality and price. The waiter gets a 10 out of 10 ⭐️ for being so friendly and nice in such a busy environment. We'll definitely be back.

Bräustüberl is just amazing place! The vibe here is so warm and truly Bavarian, and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The food is delicious — definitely try the pretzel, Rahmschwammerl, ½ Grillhendl, Apfelkiacherl in cinnamon sugar, and Oma’s Apfel-Topfenstrudel. They also have a great variety of sausages and other Bavarian classics. The beer is honestly next level! They serve some of the best Bavarian beers like Tegernseer Dunkel Export, Tegernseer Hell, and my personal favorite — the Spezial. It’s a bit stronger but full of flavor. Highly recommend this place if you want authentic Bavarian food, great beer, and a welcoming atmosphere. 🍻

The Obazde (traditional German dessert) I once loved is no longer available; it's been replaced by a kind of cream cheese spread that's pretty bland. The pretzels that come with it were rubbery. The crowds make it very hectic and uncomfortable. I don't think we'll fall into this tourist trap again.

Bräustüberl Tegernsee – A classic on the lake A real tourist magnet – and for good reason. This time, I wasn't here for a beer, but rather a quick stop for a sweet treat during a bike ride. Bikes can be parked right next to the beer garden, and we were able to easily sit at a table with a couple – ideal if you don't have a lock with you. The outdoor seating is wonderful, with a great atmosphere. The pancake was delicious and the price was absolutely fair. Unfortunately, my second drink was forgotten, but the waitress apologized when she remembered – but that shouldn't happen anyway. Next time, we'll have beer again! In conclusion: If you like quiet and secluded surroundings, you should go somewhere else. If you want to immerse yourself in the touristy atmosphere of Tegernsee, this is the place for you.
