A true highlight! We had a wonderful spot on the terrace with a magnificent view – that in itself was a delight. The menu is tastefully curated, with a fantastic selection, making it hard to decide. The waiter and service were attentive, warm, and simply friendly – ​​you immediately feel welcome. We chose the horseradish schnitzel and the zander and trout duo – both dishes were absolute hits: fresh, lovingly prepared, and flavorful to perfection. An all-round successful evening that we will remember fondly. Please keep it up – we'll definitely be back!

It was super tasty, beautifully crafted, and quite large, so you won't go home hungry. The service was also very friendly and accommodating 😊. We haven't been to the shooting range in a long time because we no longer felt comfortable there. After the recent change of tenant, we were curious and stopped by again on Sunday lunchtime. What a culinary addition to Tegernsee! The seating is very comfortable on the beautiful terrace with a magnificent view of Lake Tegernsee, the tables are lovingly decorated, and the menu offers something for every taste. The service is very attentive and genuinely friendly, and the new hosts are warm and enthusiastic. We haven't had such a good meal in the Tegernsee Valley for a long time. The food is freshly cooked, and you can taste it. The value for money is just right here. We are happy to be able to stop by here again as locals and would be happy to return. We highly commend it and definitely recommend it!

While looking for somewhere to eat outside of the towns around Lake Tegernsee, we found this restaurant. Located above Lake Tegernsee, with a lovely terrace overlooking the lake and truly delicious food (crispy schnitzel and two kinds of fish: trout and zander), we had a very relaxing evening. Unfortunately, the quality of the food and, above all, the selection have declined dramatically since the change of ownership. There's very little choice for vegetarians compared to before, which really should be standard these days. I liked the old concept much better. However, the service team is very friendly and accommodating; you can't complain at all. The ambiance is, of course, still beautiful.

Great restaurant with a lovely outdoor seating area, naturally overlooking Lake Tegernsee. We had a very tasty (and large) schnitzel with fried potatoes. Super tender and juicy. The new owner and his staff are extremely dedicated. Very good value for money. Sooooo tasty.

Since the "old shooting range" had been our regular haunt for years whenever we were at Tegernsee or nearby, we wanted to see what the new team had to offer. Unfortunately, I, as a vegetarian, which was never a problem there, was completely disappointed. Aside from soup, a salad with cheese dumplings, and baked Camembert, there was nothing for vegetarians. When I asked, the waitress offered me salads (with turkey, etc.) and fish dishes. Since they didn't accommodate me, I ended up with a portion of fries (only one size) and a side salad. What a shame...

Es ist immer wieder schön bei den Fenneberg‘s. Auch diesmal das Lokal nett hergerichtet der Tisch schön gedeckt. Leider der letzte Abend, da das Lokal den Inhaber wechselt. Wir hoffen dass die neuen Wirtsleute genau so nett sind, da es nicht viele Lokale für die Einheimischen gibt.

A super great and very homely guesthouse. When you come in, you immediately feel very comfortable. The ambience looks rustic and beautiful. The general atmosphere feels very warm and welcoming. The service was also very warm. She took good care of all the guests and everyone was served promptly. We ordered schnitzel with fries and a salad. You could hear the chef pounding the schnitzels in the background, so they were freshly made. We originally wanted to go to the inn right on Lake Tegernsee, but it was extremely overcrowded and so we were incredibly happy that we found this great inn. It's a shame that we live 500km away, otherwise we would be there more often. But we know where we will definitely go when we are back at Tegernsee and we are already looking forward to it. Thanks to the inn for the enjoyment and the pleasant stay. We would be happy to come back to you. :-)

Beautiful restaurant just outside of Tegernsee. Lovely panoramic view of the lake, probably beautiful in the summer. The inside is also beautifully decorated. Short list of dishes, but everything was delicious. You can only pay cash or with an EC card. Parking just outside of the restaurant is available.

Grüß Gott! a day of wanderlust and adventure… unexpected landscapes and dangerous mountain paths… we found the best walking sticks one could ever hope for (the three S’s: sturdy, stable and stylish!!). after a day like this, there is nothing better than a Jäger Schnitzel mit einem Beilagen Salat—köstlich!

Don't let the name fool you. The ambience and cleanliness is simply outstanding. Everything very clean and beautifully decorated. The service is very friendly and present. As soon as we sat down, my little daughter was given a picture to color with beautiful pens. I ordered a pumpkin cream soup from the daily menu and a Viennese-style schnitzel. The soup had a great approach and was, in my opinion, perfectly seasoned. Consistency, presentation and quality at the highest level. Simply magnificent. Beautiful with pumpkin seed oil, whipped cream and fresh seeds, it's a dream. To the schnitzel. Classic sideboard without schishi is simply great. Even though the schnitzel was visually a little too dark, it didn't affect the taste. Don't misunderstand. Far from burnt. Complaining at a high level. But the taste is insane. I've never had a schnitzel that was so tender and delicious. Pure taste pleasure. Simply a dream. And what you have to say, all the food was hot and stayed that way for a long time because all the plates were preheated. Simply great. For desert there was a small chocolate cake with a soft center with ice cream and cream. Also very tasty. Even though this wasn't on the menu, my daughter got a scoop of chocolate ice cream with sprinkles. Totally sweet. Prices are absolutely justified for the quality offered. We'd love to come back.

We ate here yesterday and today. Excellent both times! Lamb's lettuce with pomegranate seeds, walnuts and apple, the dumpling Tris. First class! My husband ate the sauerbraten with bread dumplings and red cabbage and was also very satisfied. Yesterday I ate the char from Tegernsee with the world's best mashed potatoes. Every bite is a pleasure! Rarely eaten so excellently! Absolutely recommended and a very good service. We felt very comfortable and would like to come again and again. We were here for lunch. Everything just fit. The friendly service from the boss, tasteful decoration in the dining room and of course the extremely good food. As a starter we shared the goat cheese thaler, the main course was a delicious variation of three different dumplings.

Onion roast top! Pumpkin soup and mixed salad are in a class of their own!! Highly recommended!!

Wir wurden so nett und freundlich verköstigt, dass wir das nächste mal wieder vorbeikommen werden. Das Essen war vorzüglich und die beiden Mädels die uns bedient haben super nett und lustig. Es ist total urig eingerichtet, und im Sommer auf der Terrasse bestimmt noch schöner da man direkt von oben auf den Tegernsee schauen kann. Really great restaurant. From the telephone inquiry to the goodbye, super nice people, from the waitress to the cook. Food (liver dumpling soup, sauerbraten and goulash with bread dumplings) was plentiful, tender and tasty. The hot love afterwards was also a pleasure. Finally, a Gentian (my best Enzi so far) and a double espresso. Gladly again.

Schöne Aussicht, sauberes Gasthaus, doch die Qualität der Speisen ist höchstens mittelmäßig - Preis - Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht. Wahrscheinlich hatte das Küchenteam einen schlechten Tag. Fritten versalzt, Schweineschnitzel verbrannt, undefinierbarer Salat - teilweise bereits braun u.u.u

Basically the food is ok. The menu offering is limited. Most of the time there is a mini day ticket. A few days ago we had, among other things: Ordered a salad with chicken “cooked sous vide” and “fresh fruit”. The five super small pieces of chicken were fried to death, i.e. fried in the pan super dry - so definitely not cooked sous vide. Pretty bold! The “fresh fruit” consisted of two halves of strawberries, four raspberries, three blackberries and five blueberries - all for a whopping €15.90. There was no day ticket that evening because a group of around 25 people had reserved. That would probably have been too much effort. It would have been nice if this had been pointed out when making the reservation over the phone. Update: The way in which every review that is not 100% positive is responded to says enough. Maybe gastronomy isn't the right thing after all

We have eaten at the shooting range several times now and always enjoy coming back! First of all, the restaurant itself is an experience, with all the shooting targets it's just super rustic, friendly and the beer garden with a great view of Lake Tegernsee. Regarding the reviews, there is only a “small” menu, I think 5-6 main courses are enough, there is actually something for everyone… The food is always very tasty and sufficient. Especially the apple kiachal!! The service is perfect and very attentive. Our dog already had his water and we didn't even order it :) We're always happy to come back! Thank you for the great service and the good cuisine!!

Was a failure, sausage salad was very sour and was drowned in the broth. Apple juice spritzer was very watery, not drinkable. There was no apology from the waitress, even though we complained. We also had to pay full price even though everything was returned. Not recommended. Once and never again!!!!!

Absolutely loved it! We visited once after recommendation from friends. Beautiful view outside over the lake when the weather is nice and the interior is cosy and warm. Nice menu, traditional dishes, big portions and in total value for money. We wanted to return back but unfortunately Thursday and Friday closed. Whenever visiting Tegernsee definitely will return back. Reservations ahead are recommended

We went because of the good reviews, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The inn itself looks great, good views and places to sit outside which are tight. The service is very friendly and attentive. The menu is very small, there were five main courses and only standard items, which disappointed me. Overall weak card in general in my opinion!!! Pork schnitzel for 20 euros, two small pieces included, the cheapest fries you can buy wholesale are already hard. Onion roast was also tough and tasted okay, but for 32.50 euros it was a very steep price. Definitely wouldn't eat here again, there are much better ones, the price anyway and the food too... No comparison to the Bräustüberl...

We were able to really enjoy the shooting range on a sunny day. With a beautiful view of Lake Tegernsee, you can stay inside or on the terrace. The food is really, really good. Schnitzel and cheese spaetzle were so delicious and freshly prepared. The landlady and the cook have hospitality in their blood and definitely make a visit sweeter. Absolute recommendation.

Cozy little restaurant with a terrace overlooking the valley and the lake. The menu is small but there is something for everyone. Our meals were always well prepared and tasted good. The desserts are also recommended. Served visually clearly and also very tasty. We will come back again on our next visit to Tegernsee.

Starter: Cheese dumpling soup €8.50 Main course: onion roast €32.50 / smoked salmon with rösti €20.50 Dessert: Creme Brulee €7.50 Food was good, unfortunately onion roast was too well done and rather small for a hefty price of €32.50, the smoked salmon was also good but the portion was manageable as the rösti and salad already take up a lot of space for €20. Starter and dessert price/performance okay. Service very friendly, atmosphere nice and cozy. Would give it 3.8 (4) out of 5 ⭐️ because of the main courses. We're testing again!

The shooting range is a real insider tip!!! Where do I even start? Without even knowing it, you gave my husband and I the best birthday ending imaginable! ♥️💙 The shooting range is hard to beat in terms of cosiness and warmth. Clean, tidy, a mix of quaint and modern. Children are very welcome here. As a welcome there are pens and the children's card to color in. Since the little mice are usually hungry first, they are occupied first and provided with food, which of course ensures divine peace. There is a playground below the terrace, high chairs, stools at the sink, a changing facility... The restaurant is very suitable for wheelchair users thanks to only small drops of perhaps 1 cm (?) everywhere. Access to the toilet and a larger cabin are available. This is very rare in such an old building as the toilets are often located in the basement. The kitchen is open, probably very neat, you can look inside and outside, the doors are open. Nancy, the boss, and her colleague were really charming, in a good mood, laughed a lot, know their regular guests well and everyone is welcome! The actual shooting range is housed in a small outbuilding in the parking lot and is essentially an outdoor area behind a wall. As an amateur shooter, I was able to carefully peek around the corner. The food is incredibly tasty, the portions are large and the prices are reasonable, really affordable and very cheap for the Tegernsee region. We enjoyed the last cocktail and dessert at sunset with a great view over Lake Tegernsee. ♥️ Thank you very much!

A really beautiful forestry with a beautiful view of Lake Tegernsee. Easily accessible on foot, by bike or car. The food was very good, quality and preparation lovingly and tasted perfect. The menu is extensive but not run of the mill. The service was exceptionally friendly, always had a smile and was very accommodating. For us it was the best dinner in Tegernsee. After eating, you can take a walk in the forest nearby…

Found the way to the inn today. I received a very warm welcome and took a seat on the terrace. The service was very friendly and warm. I ate one before soup with dumpling, very appetizing and homely. For the main course there was the sauerbraten with dumpling and apple red cabbage. If you like dumplings, you definitely won't be disappointed here. Finally there was the crème brûlée, garnished with fresh fruit. A real eye-catcher as well as the view of Lake Tegernsee. There was one or two wheat beers for refreshment. I found the food very tasty and am pleased to have found my way there. I felt very comfortable during my stay and was able to spend a bit of time on the terrace. Therefore there was also a corresponding tip. If I were to be in the area again in my life, I would visit this inn again and recommend it to everyone. I say thank you.

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Viele Dank für ein so tollen Service und eine so gute Küche. Die Kids haben sich auf dem Spielplatz ausgetobt und wir hatten Zeit noch einen Aperol in der Abendsonne zu genießen. so sollte ein kurzer Moment der Entspannung sein.

Very cozy inn above Tegernsee with a beautiful view over a green valley to the lake. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and lovely. We were here in a larger group and the waitress immediately provided us with additional umbrellas without asking when she noticed that we were all sitting in the shade. Currently my favorite inn in the valley and a lonely island of hospitality.

My first visit left nothing to be desired and I had a lovely and delicious evening at the shooting range. The starter salad is not run-of-the-mill (as some places might be) but really tasty and the cream goulash was a poem. And the friendly people at the shooting range are apparently also up for a nice chat every now and then!

Top marks in all criteria! There are hardly any taverns this beautiful anymore! Unfortunately. Therefore: go and test it yourself. Everything is great. Interior and the beer garden outside. The view of Lake Tegernsee from the terrace is phenomenal. And even smoke-free! Overall: a real dream*****!

No more! If you fancy an overwhelmed operator and want to be dealt with with trite statements, you've come to the right place. I've been here every now and then over the last two years because I grew up with the shooting range, but 2 out of 3 visits were simply underground. Unfortunately, wearing a dirndl is not enough to be a good restaurateur.

Da hat jemand seinen Beruf und den Begriff Gastfreundschaft anscheinend nicht verstanden. Obwohl die Terrasse dekoriert war mit Plasikblumen und Rauch-Verbots-Schildern, teilte uns die Betreiberin mit, dass sie keine Lust hätte, alle 5 Minuten bei den unklaren Wetterbedingungen umzudecken. „Entweder Sie setzen sich rein oder….“? Wir setzen uns also wie befohlen rein und auf die Nachfrage, warum sie so wirsch war, verweigert sie uns den Service und meint, wir müssen ja nicht hier sein. Fazit: Wer keine Lust auf unfreundliche Behandlung hat, geht besser woanders hin. Ob man sich das gegenüber Einheimischen in Tegernsee wirklich leisten kann… ? Für uns war es nach einem anderen unschönen Ereignis vor zwei Jahren jedenfalls der letzte Versuch.

We have been regular guests at the shooting range for years. It is a very cozy, stylishly furnished restaurant with super friendly staff. All dishes are very tasty and attractively presented. We find the price performance to be appropriate. We had great evenings here, keep it up. For us there is no better place to go on the lake. We will be back.

Very good reception and service. We felt comfortable straight away. We really enjoyed the asparagus and the sauerbraten today. We were in this owner-run restaurant for the third time today and would love to come back soon.

Unfortunately the onion roast wasn't worth the money, it was cut far too thin and was therefore well done. The other dishes were OK. Children's meals like spaetzle are too expensive!
