The hospitality was striking; we were seated at a great table, and the server was very accommodating! The food was excellent, and the gravy is highly recommended! We had a wonderful time and would love to come back!

It's in a very nice location, and the ambiance is also very nice. The food is also very good; I highly recommend it. I would say it's good home cooking and the beer is very tasty.

Very good service. The roast pork is recommended. The portions are good. If you're expecting a certain exclusivity compared to neighboring breweries regarding the menu and its execution, you'll probably be disappointed. Perhaps that's also why it's easier to get a seat here.

Our visit was two or three weeks ago, but I had a thoroughly positive experience. We sat in the beautiful outdoor area overlooking the lake in beautiful weather. The service was super friendly, attentive, and fun. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for the location. I'll definitely be back :)

Great food, great view, friendly service. We spontaneously stopped by for lunch. The cheese spaetzle was exceptionally delicious. We even got delicious salads to go with the dishes. Direct view of Lake Tegernsee. We'd love to come back. We sat outside, but the interior is also very nice and tasteful. In contrast to the adjacent Herzogliches Braustüberl Tegernsee (where the food is also delicious), it's a lot quieter and more relaxed here.

If you want excellent food with great service in one of the most beautiful places in the world, then the Schlosswirtschaft is the place for you. A week ago, we celebrated a birthday there with 30 people and spent an unforgettable evening. Jimmy and his son Luan provided excellent, attentive, and friendly service. Ms. Wohlfahrt did a fantastic job in every phase of the preparation and during the evening itself. She was open to any changes and provided us with excellent advice and support. A big thank you to the entire Schlosswirtschaft team.

Traditional Bavarian restaurant with an Asian touch (food). Good service, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. Disappointing dinner dish though - very old and dry roasted duck which was announced as ‘the highlight of the week’….not worth it at all

Very relaxed and comfortable seating right by the lake (an insider tip as an alternative to the more hectic Bräustüberl), very attentive service, dogs are welcome, and the food is good value for money (and delicious, too). The interior is very nicely decorated.

Basically, nothing is left to be desired here: a beautiful location by the lake, great staff, and delicious food. Unfortunately, the overly loud club music from the attached beach club ruined any atmosphere for a relaxed dinner. A real shame, and unnecessary on a holiday.

Service was very unfriendly at 216. The dumplings were hard and old. When I asked if they served wine, I got a cheeky reply that I should look at the menu. Never again! Dear Gasthof zum Rosser

Die Preise sind aus unserer Sicht okay, bewegen sich aber schon im oberen Bereich! Die Kellner waren flink, freundlich und zuvorkommend! Der Blick aufs Wasser und die umliegenden Berge ist super schön!

Trotz der vielen Besucher am Pfingstmontag war der Service ausgezeichnet, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend - und der Schweinsbraten war der leckerste, den wir je gegessen haben, obwohl wir schon seit vielen Jahren immer wieder in Bayern sind. Kompliment.

We were there for dinner and had reserved a table outside. Everything worked out perfectly. We had Zwiebelrostbraten (onion roast beef) and Kaasspatzn (cheese spaetzle), both of which were really delicious! The fries could have been better 😉 Our server was super friendly and attentive, which is why we left a slightly higher tip. The ambiance is really great, very close to the water and the park. Yesterday we went to the Schlosswirtschaft for dinner after our registry office ceremony – it was a dream! Planning the meal with Ms. Wohlfahrt and Ms. Zangl went smoothly; all of our wishes were implemented and complemented with sensible suggestions. The absolute highlight of the Schlosswirtschaft was Jimmy, who accompanied us throughout the day. He anticipated every wish from the guests' eyes, whether they were two years old or 73, and with his cheerful professionalism, he ensured that we will have very fond memories of the Schlosswirtschaft!

Beautiful restaurant! Unfortunately, we had to sit inside due to the rain. The vaulted ceiling was extremely beautiful, and the drinks and service were excellent. We made the mistake of ordering potato pancakes. Unfortunately, they were served very poorly. Three very thin "cookies" for €12 were without any decoration, and a dollop of apple sauce was unfortunately not what we had hoped for. Our own fault. The location, right on Lake Tegernsee, is absolutely perfect.

A beautifully located restaurant with a beer garden right next to the castle, overlooking the lake. We got a seat without a reservation, but it was quite busy. Service was okay. There were plenty of servers around. The food was good. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a selection. Overall, recommended.

As Viennese, we had a Wienerschnitzel, which was in no way inferior to anything you'd find in Vienna. First-class! A few more sunny spots and fewer umbrellas would have been nice.

Were in the restaurant with family, we really liked it, delicious food, good atmosphere, convenient location, with good a view of the lake . For the kids menu there were ketchup, viennese schnitzel and potato fries .

I was in this restaurant and absolutely loved it! The service was first class – attentive, friendly and quick. I ate the onion roast and it was excellent: tender meat, perfectly seasoned and super tasty. Absolutely recommended – I would love to come back!

You can eat very well here in a wonderful atmosphere. The service is courteous, competent and fast. The selection of dishes is large. In addition to Bavarian, there are also Asian dishes. Everything was extremely tasty, served hot and beautifully presented. The price-performance ratio is very good for the location and the quality on offer here. The Schlosswirtschaft is a clear recommendation.

The schweinebraten is crusty and delicious! Highly recommend! Here you find a cool vibe and traditional German food. The prices are fair, the view is amazing and the service is fast. Reservation is a must on sunny weekends.

The restaurant was quite empty at lunchtime (in the off-season). The food was really delicious and there was a generous portion too. I liked the atmosphere because it was nicely decorated but not too cluttered. The service was good, our waitress was nice and we got our food quickly.

Pros: + Nice atmosphere + Delicious food + Very friendly service + Dog friendly + Possibility to get small portions Cons: No. In detail: We became aware of the castle economy via the Tegernsee tourist information website (I have no idea if that's what it's called 😅). The table reservation was very easy via the website. When we arrived, we were offered water and organic treats for the dog (see photo - no unspecified animal by-products). The waiter was very friendly and when we asked about the portion sizes, he offered to allow us to have small portions. Wasn't necessary, but still cool! We had the roast pork, the spicy beef, side salads and a Kaiserschmarrn for dessert to share. The food came quickly and was really tasty! The meat was tender, the sauces were very flavorful, the side dishes were on point! Clear recommendation!

I can only warmly recommend the Schlosswirtschaft for any occasion! Our planned wedding was an absolute dream and that was largely due to the staff. From the first inquiry, through the advice and processing, to the last dance in the evening, everything was perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive and lightning fast. They really thought of everything and made sure our wedding went off without a hitch. The food was a poem - every single course was a culinary highlight, our guests loved it! And as if that wasn't enough, they even thought along and reserved outdoor seats for us in the bright sunshine without us having to ask - very thoughtful. The castle economy not only met our expectations, but far exceeded them. It was just perfect and I couldn't imagine a better place for our wedding. A huge thank you to Ms. Wohlfarth, Daniel and the entire team for this unforgettable day!

An entertaining afternoon in the Tegernsee Castle Restaurant! The Schlosswirtschaft Tegernsee is an absolute jewel on Lake Tegernsee! We spent a sunny early spring day outside. The roast pork was freshly prepared with a perfect crust. I would particularly like to highlight the Kaiserschmarrn, which was almost perfect. The service from Jimmy was outstanding – friendly, attentive and very personal. The location of the castle restaurant is simply fantastic. The view of Lake Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains is breathtaking and provides a perfect backdrop. Conclusion: The Schlosswirtschaft Tegernsee is a must for everyone who visits the region. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. Many thanks to Jimmy for a fun afternoon.

Very nice location, view, great food, traditional, large portions and inexpensive. Definitely stop by if you're in Tegernsee, you won't be disappointed. My recommendation is to have a morning drink here and then continue walking along the lake, taking a boat trip, etc...

Great food, nice and pleasant atmosphere and great service! We arrived from Tegernsee completely cold, were greeted with a smile by Norbert, a waitress, and quickly brought us a warm and delicious meal! I had the schnitzel and my friend had the Kasspätzle and we both loved it! We'd love to come here more often... just hopefully not so cold next time.

We were able to celebrate our wedding at the Schlosswirtschaft on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 with around 60 guests. The preparations and communication in advance were great. The preliminary discussions on site, by email and by telephone with Ms. Wohlfarth went smoothly and every one of our wishes could be implemented. The room “the distillery” was just right for our celebration. All guests and we as the bride and groom were thrilled with the service. All food and drinks arrived quickly and further orders were taken and processed immediately. The menu, which we had agreed upon in advance, tasted very good and was enjoyed by all the guests! Thank you, dear Schlosswirtschaft team, for making our special day so possible!

It's sad that today you can no longer honestly share your bad experience with a restaurant without hiring a lawyer who can then easily get Google to delete it. I can confirm our host's experience and certainly understand his criticism. I didn't like the food at all either. The service was initially good, but became increasingly inattentive as the evening progressed. Our waiter was always friendly, but at some point he was hardly visible anymore. With a bill of almost €1000 for a baptism, this is simply unacceptable and leaves a bad aftertaste. I can neither recommend this place nor do I plan to eat there again.

The castle restaurant is simply a dream and my favorite spot on Tegernsee. The food is excellent. The location right on the lake is beautiful. When the weather is good, you can almost always sit outside, even in winter. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating! Unfortunately you don't have that everywhere. Always good music and great atmosphere.

This is a great restaurant that serves typical Bavarian dishes, but also some tasty Thai currys. The Thai curry with crusty duck wasn’t crusty though. The ample portions were delicious and served quickly. There were a good assortment of desserts and coffee. I would definitely recommend making reservations even though it is a large restaurant. There is a diaper changing station in the restroom. The paid parking area behind the restaurant is big but always overflowing at peak times

Very, very good cuisine, great ambience and unbeatable friendliness of the staff. We wanted to go out for something to eat at short notice at the end of our day trip to Lake Tergernsee. Despite a fully booked Saturday evening, the extremely friendly Ms. Wohlfahrt enabled us to reserve a table. The selection of dishes, which offers not only Bavarian but also Thai specialties, is very extensive and appealing. We decided on roast pork and onion roast. Both dishes are worth more than 5 stars! Beautifully prepared, cooked to perfection and the crust on the roast pork was more than perfect! For dessert we chose a Kaiserschmarrn. This was the best Kaiserschmarrn we have ever eaten. Nothing ready-made from the Tetra Pak, but really freshly prepared, which absolutely justifies the price. This was also lovingly prepared and more than perfect in terms of appearance and, above all, taste. Added to this is the incredibly friendly waiter Jimmy. Service and friendliness at the absolute highest level! Quickly there, competent advice and explanations of the dishes, a more than very friendly manner. You would be happy to leave not just 10% but 20% of the service charge. Thank you for the great service, we will definitely be back!! The entire ambience of the castle restaurant speaks for itself. Rustic yet modern furnishings. It’s definitely worth taking a look at the distillery complex. The sanitary facilities are very modern and clean. All in all, the castle restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I can only recommend it to everyone. By the way, the entrance is approx. 100 meters to the right of the entrance to the Bräustüberl. Have fun and enjoy your meal!!

We wanted to celebrate a special occasion and decided to go to this restaurant. We were not welcomed or accomodated. Quite the contrary, the waiters were rude and we decided to leave. It left us with a very bad after taste and will certainly not go back.

We were there for lunch at lunchtime. The schnitzel and the Kaiserschmarrn were really 10/10! The waitress Jonny was super friendly and in a good mood. The decor was super nice and the bathrooms were very clean. Really recommended, we were very happy! :)

My father celebrated his 60th birthday in the Schlosswirschaft Tegernsee and we had the St. Quirinus room for our celebration. We were in close contact with Ms. Wohlfahrt beforehand. She was always available to address our concerns and implement them. The room was decorated for Christmas on site, the staff was super friendly and took excellent care of all the guests. The food was excellent - we were given a selection of starters and desserts on attractively arranged platters, and the main course was a large and very tasty portion. We had a completely successful evening with a great celebration. Thank you very much for this, we would love to come back!

I can't quite understand the overall rating of 4.7, Food wasn't a real highlight, rather average. Only the red curry was one of the best here at Tegernsee, but the duck with the curry was anything but crispy, rather chewy. The service seemed annoyed and unfriendly, but when it came to tips they were on their toes. I imagine beautiful, round evenings differently.

We were able to enjoy the fantastic New Year's Eve menu. All three courses were a dream! We were also served by a very friendly and attentive waiter. And last but not least, our dogs were also thought of and received their very own greeting from the kitchen (:

Very nice restaurant with a good selection. Overall, the food on the menu is very good, typically Bavarian and there is even a Thai kitchen that also has many vegan or vegetarian options.

I've eaten Kaiserschmarrn countless times, but none was as bad as this one in the Schlosswirtschaft Tegernsee. It tasted like an old, dry cake surrounded by a hard sugar coating.
