Today we went to the Schlosswirtschaft instead of the Bräustüberl...The atmosphere was really great and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately we weren't impressed with the food. The Kaiserschmarrn I was looking forward to looked good at first glance, but... In terms of taste, I don't recommend it. Dear kitchen, do it with me Semolina???? It was broken into small pieces like a semolina slice and caramelized. That doesn't work with semolina at all Guys, who would come up with such an idea? Horrible.

We organized a celebration and were completely satisfied!

This is actually one of my favourite places in this location. Perfect location, nice atmosphere and the food is generally good. But, to not have a staple food item on the menu available on a sunny weekend is unacceptable. Hence the rating. A restaurant without a food item on the menu is simply disappointing to the highest degree.

The location is excellent with a great view! Our original waiter was really friendly (he made conversation and gave us a great table too - Dankeschön), but then suddenly another one then started to serve us and hardly spoke when we asked him for anything. The food was also definitely not what I expected for the price at all. The schnitzel was cold and looked like something bought at a grocery store and stuck into the microwave. Really disappointed as I looked forward to our lunch there.

Get a table without a reservation! Food, waiter and beer garden very, very good and reasonably priced. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back. Thank you very much for the lovely hospitality.

Very nice restaurant on the lake with historic premises. Reasonable price level, only the service and food quality still have room for improvement.

Last Saturday we celebrated our civil wedding with 15 people in the castle restaurant. The organization and arrangements in advance with Sabrina worked smoothly and easily. All of our wishes were taken into account. The table was lovingly set, the food tasted excellent, the service was very (child-)friendly, quick and courteous. Accordingly, we had a wonderful celebration in the castle restaurant, where everything was just perfect. We therefore give our unreserved recommendation! The service was very nice, the location by the lake was very nice and the food was good - but there is room for improvement. You should reserve a table as it is very busy. Otherwise, despite the size, there could be waiting times of up to 1/2 hour.

One of the most beautiful places on Lake Tegernsee.

Food excellent. Unfortunately the waiter was very unfriendly. Side dishes of coleslaw were not brought after asking twice and in the end they didn't want to respond to them. After a long discussion there was a small deduction. It's a shame, because the food and the view are very good.

Delicious right on the lake Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the nice lady who served us. Great service, as we were quite bothered by wasps, two wasp snack bowls with cranberry jam were placed at a distance, which really helped. Food was good, the sticky rice was particularly tasty.

We ate very well here, Thai, Bavarian. Everyone was very satisfied. Service was very nice, very quick and very competent.

I ate the best Kaiserschmarrn in this restaurant. Nice and fluffy on the inside and crispy caramelized on the outside. The main courses, roast pork and massaman curry, were also really delicious. Great food, very nice service and fair prices. We will definitely come back.

Extremely good value for money, beautiful location!

The location is very nice. The service was also good. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good at all. The roast pork was not fresh and very dry, the dumplings had a rubbery consistency as they appeared to have been warmed up in the microwave. Add just a small spoonful of sauce The cheese spaetzle were ok, unfortunately without high-quality mountain cheese. The drink prices were also quite overpriced.

Cozy restaurant, right on Lake Tegernsee. Friendly and attentive staff. Versatile and delicious selection of different dishes. It's worth a visit.

Salad was very carelessly prepared, whole romaine lettuce cut into four parts and served. Roast pork sauce tasted very strange. Very few fries on the schnitzel. Spaetzle was a finished product. Not dependent on regular guests, unfortunately you can feel that.

We were totally disappointed. We didn't know that the owner had changed since 2023 and wanted to get back to old times. First of all - the location of the venue is great. The drinks menu is also good. Unfortunately the food was anything but delicious! The duck was old and tasted warmed up. You can't really go wrong with Viennese-style schnitzel. Unless it comes out of the freezer already breaded. The potato salad that came with it was ice cold, so it didn't taste like anything at first. Were so disappointed and will enjoy the other great places on the lake.

We all had a great meal, the Bavarian char meets Thailand and absolutely my taste! Thank you very much for the particularly friendly staff and a good price-performance ratio. The location is lovely, what more could you want on a Thursday at lunchtime!

Wir waren spontan mit Freunden beim Mittagessen in der Schlosswirtschaft. Nachdem das Wetter schön waren, haben wir einen Platz auf der schönen Terrasse bekommen. Der Service war nett und sehr schnell. Mein Mann war besonders von dem leckeren Schweinebraten begeistert. Wir kommen beim nächsten Besuch am Tegernsee bestimmt wieder!

Il servizio pessimo pervhe dopo aver ordinato per quaranta minuti non abbiamo ricevuto nessun piatto. Dopo aver portato i piatti abbiamo detto che ne mancavano alcuni e dopo 10 minuti ci dicono che la cucina era chiusa e non potevano portare altri piatti. Alla fine nonnci è stato offertp niente e il manager non si è venuto neanche a scusare. Dopo aver apagato anche caro per aver preso 7 piatti siamo andati a parlare con la manager alquanto menefreghista del fatto accaduto. DA NON TORNARE

Thai dishes are offered, but my Pad Kra Pao had nothing to do with the original from Thailand. Now you could legitimately say that in a Bavarian economy you are not Thai either, I completely agree. However, the restaurant specifically advertises that it has a chef from Thailand. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. The ambience is very good.

Jimmy served us very friendly and the food was very tasty. The Kasspatzen definitely fill you up…

Unreservedly recommended! Great restaurant in a prime location with a great price/performance ratio. All employees are nice, courteous and quick. In particular, our waiter (Jimmy) is a great guy! Fast and professional, but still available for small talk and jokes. That's how it should be !

Absolutely not recommended. We were surprised that the terrace was almost completely empty compared to the neighboring restaurant. After the visit we knew why... The Wiener Schnitzel tasted good, which is why the food gets 2 and not 1 star. Unfortunately, the spaghetti aglio e olio was the opposite. Tasteless, cold and loveless, the plate was served completely without decoration and at an outrageous price for what was on offer! The staff was fine.

Very nice and clean restaurant, with a beautiful beer garden right on the idyllic Tegernsee. The service was friendly and accommodating. The menu is rather unusual for a Bavarian inn because of the Thai dishes, but original Bavarian dishes are also on the menu. Price / offer: Very good

It is a great restaurant that has a great view of the Tegernsee. The food quality is really great and the waiters are very kind. As you can see by the pictures, the food quantity is plenty and you'll be happy to come back (as we did to try new dishes). If you're in the area, this place is a MUST. A parking is nearby and you can even access it with the Tegernsee's boat-transport.

Me and my girlfriend's meal was disastrous. Currywurst totally over salted. My friend's salad was carelessly draped with stalks on the plate. I'm not coming back.

Celebrated our daughter's baptism here today. Although the ceremony was a complete success, we are simply disappointed with the food in the castle restaurant. The quality did not correspond to what we had tried and put together in advance. The service was initially very attentive and friendly, but in the last 45 minutes it simply ceased to exist due to alleged understaffing. A farewell from our waitress or even the restaurant manager with whom we had clarified the formalities in advance? None!! With a bill of just under €1000, this leaves a pretty bad aftertaste and we definitely won't recommend this business.

It's an impressive place. The best place to spend a good time with your loved ones while watching the sparkling waters of the water! In places with a lot of customers, the servers may be unfriendly. You have to wait a long time for the food to be served. That wasn't the case here. Separate the party areas from the non-party areas. It is a well-run place without negligence on either side. There was no discomfort at all The server was also very friendly. A server with a very wide field of view It was really impressive to see a customer's child climb up to the top of a tree in the middle of the park, and then run over to pick him up safely and bring him down, and I think it was even better because I felt a sense of humanity. The food is It was the most delicious schnitzel I've had in Germany. It was a taste that brought out the natural taste of the meat well. Delicious beer and schnitzel! Who could hate it?? Yesterday we had a company outing at Tegernsee. The reservation worked really well and we were able to have a coffee outside before dinner. The staff 1* thank you very much. Food very good. Nice staff, pleasant atmosphere, good beer. But I wouldn't recommend eating here to anyone. Far too expensive for the amount on offer.

This afternoon I was visiting with my family to celebrate my birthday. We sat on the beautiful terrace with a direct view of the lake. Jimmy, who served us, deserves special praise. He was quick, very friendly, with a wonderful sense of humor and took great care of us during our little celebration. The food was also wonderful. My wok vegetables were some of the best I've ever eaten. The Bavarian specialties were also excellent. All around a lovely experience, we will definitely be back.

It's nice to sit outside on the terrace in the beer garden. The menu's mix of hearty Bavarian and Thai cuisine is interesting.

Unfortunately the staff doesn't match the surroundings. If you're at 7:59 p.m If you want to eat Thai - as offered - you get told by the staff: Do you have a menu...you have to read it...kitchen closes at 8 p.m....It's just stupid if you were there at 7 p.m....and there was no notice on the menu let alone got a hint from the staff. If you want to order another beer at 9:15 p.m.: that's it. Although it's open until 10 p.m. But WHEN you see the staff sitting in front of the entrance drinking beer, you get the impression... as if they own the restaurant. It's shameful when you have to watch and listen when insults are spoken in a non-German language, when the tip is obviously too small. Why is the neighboring Bräuststübl, with its hard-working and, above all, friendly service, always full and the Schloss Restaurant not... As an owner and visitor, you should think about it.....

I don't think there is a nicer place around Lake Tegernsee to sit, eat and drink comfortably! After the boat tour you can get off directly at the castle / brewery and will be warmly welcomed and served there! Service is top notch - with a relaxed attitude and fun - you feel at home there! We'll be back - that's a promise! Greetings to the waiter whose name started with J and who made us laugh so much and served us so well 👍🏻

The service is incredibly nice and attentive. This is rarely found today. I would give 6 stars for that. There is still a little room for improvement when it comes to food (criticism at a very high level), the portions are more than sufficient. But it's all very solid. Therefore, in total, a justified 5 stars.

Nice restaurant by the lake. The prices are a bit high, but this is due to the location and basically on Lake Tegernsee. A personal recommendation is the unfiltered light beer. The portions are large, so you'll definitely be full. We had to wait about 5 minutes for a seat during our visit. Since the weather was very nice and it was also a public holiday, this was to be expected.

Great food & drinks with a great view of Lake Tegernsee. Very cozy atmosphere inside too.

Very rude staff! Avoid this place if you just want a beer or two! First waiter said its ok if we only order a couple of drinks. Second waiter got upset because we didnt order food. When we had finnished our drinks and politely asked for a check, the waiter yelled " This is a restaurant, you have to wait!

Right on the banks of lake Tegernsee and located in the lower basement, it certainly has a special atmosphere and a traditional feel. The food is very good here with plenty of traditional Bavarian dishes. I highly recommend the roast pork with knödl (schweinebraten). The portions are good and the beer is good serving Tegernsee beer. What is interesting about the beer is that you can get a wider selection than the neighbouring bräustübel - including the Quirinus doppelbock and an unfiltered helles!

The food was delicious, the service was initially nice, right up to the point of giving tips. Young gentleman, I'm sorry, but I think everyone should decide for themselves how much and whether they want to tip at all. Looks speak louder than words and they could have saved themselves the unfriendly farewell! And yes, the gentleman received an appropriate and not too little tip.

Had lunch with our children. Great menu where everyone can find something. We also think it's very good that there are not only typical Bavarian dishes but also noodles and Thai food. We have rarely eaten so well. There is a selection of Bavarian and international dishes. I had the spicy beef with coriander, simply outstanding. Also tried: onion roast and the noodles with beef fillet tips. Plus the Tegernsee beer... We also felt that we were in very good hands with the nice Croatian waiter, which is also a big compliment. It's a shame we were just passing through. It would definitely be our favorite place.

On Sunday, March 17th, 2024, two people and our dog were guests for dinner at the Schlosswirtschaft Tegernsee. All the service staff were very friendly, attentive and our dog was really welcome and was the first to be given water by a very friendly waitress at the table. We enjoyed the two meals we ordered very much and the price/performance ratio was fair and reasonable. We will be guests of the castle restaurant again on our next vacation and can confidently recommend a visit.

Great location, nice to sit, especially in the sun with a view of the lake. The food is very, very tasty, especially the Kaiserschmarrn. We were served by Jimmy and are completely satisfied with the friendly service. Any time!

Today we ordered two “homemade” portions of Kaiserschmarrn for €11 each. The Kaiserschmarrn arrived after 7 minutes, lukewarm and more reminiscent of a sheet cake. Was neither fluffy, fresh nor homemade. We asked the waitress about it and she told us that we were right and that it had already been prepared in the morning because of the rush. We still paid the full price. Sobering.

When can you eat outside at Tegernsee on February 18th? There are days like this where you spontaneously meet up with friends and are even lucky enough to get two tables. The staff was very friendly, but also quite stressed due to the crowds. But they did it with confidence. The food came quickly, even though the roast pork wasn't quite hot anymore. Nevertheless, praise to the castle management team.

A great restaurant with super delicious food and extremely friendly staff! We brought our two little Chihuahuas with us and our waiter immediately spoiled them with great treats and brought out a bowl of water. That was very warm of him. The food was also very, very good, the restaurant is Bavarian elegant and really beautifully decorated and you feel very comfortable. We will come back in any case!

Nachdem ich mich zunächst beim benachbarten Herzöglichen Bräustübel setzen wollte und mir gesagt wurde, dass ich mich setzen dürften, wenn ich noch 9 Personen mitbringe (solch eine Arroganz habe ich noch nie erlebt), kam ich zur Schlosswirtschaft. Sehr freundliche Begrüßung, zuvorkommender Service, leckeres Essen. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen gleich die Schlosswirtschaft anzusteuern!

Tolle Wirtschaft und sehr schöne Location, meine Frau und ich gehen sehr gerne dort essen auch weil es nicht nur Bayrisches Essen gibt. Auch die asiatischen Gerichte kann ich wärmstens empfehlen. Weiter so!

Wir haben die standesamtliche Trauung meiner Tochter in der schönen Schlosswirtschaft gefeiert. Es war alles sehr gut, Ambiente, Service, sehr leckeres Essen, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Besonders möchten wir uns bei dem Filip bedanken. Dieser Servicemitarbeiter stand uns den ganzen Abend zur Seite und hat uns zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit bedient, versorgt und unterhalten. Vielen Dank auch an das gesamte Team der Schlosswirtschaft.

In diesem Lokal werden die Personalprobleme im Gastrogewerbe besonders deutlich. Schlecht ausgebildete und übel gelaunte Kellner, die zudem unsere Sprache nur mangelhaft beherrschen, sorgen für eine wenig gastfreundliche Atmosphäre. Wir fühlten uns unwohl und ärgerten uns, diese Wirtschaft aufgesucht haben. Wir hatten online einen Tisch reserviert. Als wir um 18 Uhr eintrafen, war das Lokal fast leer, doch wir sollten trotzdem nur einen Minitisch mittendrin bekommen. Die anderen, schöneren Tische wären alle reserviert, hieß es vom Personal. Unsere Reservierung galt hier offenbar nicht. Nach einigem Hin und Her wies man uns schließlich doch noch einen besseren Tisch zu, bis der zuständige Kellner plötzlich auftauchte und protestierte; er wollte uns nicht an diesem Tisch haben. Die Restaurantleitung glänzte während dieser minutenlangen, sehr ärgerlichen Diskussion durch Abwesenheit und hatte auch später kein Wort der Entschuldigung übrig. Der Aufenthalt in diesem Lokal blieb auch weiterhin ärgerlich: Zum Roastbeef gab es fettige Kartoffeln und die Sauce zur Currywurst war kalt. Den ebenfalls bestellten Salat vergass der Kellner (siehe oben), setzte ihn später aber trotzdem auf die Rechnung. Aufs zweite Bier mussten wir ewig warten, denn niemand war bereit, unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. ‚Nicht zuständig‘, wimmelte uns einer der Kellner ab. Wir wünschen diesem Lokal gute Besserung - uns wird man dort nicht wiedersehen.

Wir haben den besten Kaiserschmarrn gehabt, und da gab's schon viele vorher... Einzig die Klaviermusik im Hintergrund hat ein bisschen genervt..
