The Schlosswirtschaftsschaft is a cozy spot right on Lake Tegernsee. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as expected. We had duck with vegetables and rice and fish curry with vegetables and rice. The vegetables were a bit tough, and the sauce was almost tasteless. The fish curry, which cost €25.90, had hardly any fish in it. We should have ordered the traditional dishes instead.

Very beautiful location on Lake Tegernsee. Blankets are available outside for cooler days. The food is average, though there's still room for improvement—but that's a matter of taste. The staff are friendly and accommodating. -

But what really made our visit special was our waitress, Micky. 😊 Micky not only served us with great friendliness and warmth, but also impressed us with his humor, attentiveness, and good humor. You could immediately tell that he's passionate about his work. That's exactly how you want service – uncomplicated, warm, and professional. Thank you for the lovely evening – we'll definitely be back, even though we're not from the region!

A great restaurant. But the location alone doesn't make for a pleasant stay. It all depends on the staff who bring a business to life. During our visit, Jimmy (a native of Vechta) was our server. A wonderful person who more than made our stay perfect. Many greetings from the North Germans. Mischél

We celebrated our wedding evening at the Quirinus Stüberl with 10 people at the beginning of September. Even during the planning phase, Ms. Wohlfahrt (and later Ms. Zangl) was extremely friendly and professional. The evening itself was just as perfect. Micky, our specially assigned waiter, added to the consistently positive atmosphere with his exceptional friendliness and attentiveness. Every dish we ordered was delicious! Furthermore, the team at the Schlosswirtschaft was extremely accommodating and accommodating. In summary, we can only thank you for our wedding evening at the Schlosswirtschaft. All of our guests were thrilled, and we recommend it without reservation! Thank you so much!

Our visit to the Schlosswirtschaft was perfect, from the view of the lake in the beautiful, shady outdoor area to the excellent food (onion roast beef and Kaiserschmarrn) and the outstanding service. The meat was cooked perfectly medium-rare, the drinks were never empty, and the Kaiserschmarrn was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, just as it should be. Many thanks to our server Micky – our visit was an experience rarely found in restaurants these days! It was worth every penny. If we ever visit Tegernsee again, we'll definitely be back!

On Monday, August 25, 2025, I was on a bike tour around Lake Tegernsee with my daughter, who was visiting from Australia. The beautiful ambiance and the fantastic location on the lake spontaneously beckoned us to stop. In addition to the excellent food, Jimmy made our stay a special experience and a very fond memory. His cheerful, open-minded, and friendly manner rounded off our visit. Thank you very much for that, and we wish you continued success.

We've been to Tegernsee several times as a family, including this restaurant – the food and drinks are always of the highest quality. Micky's service was excellent: very attentive, courteous, and very friendly. We highly recommend the Schlosswirtschaft restaurant.

We came to the beer garden on Sunday. The waitress (Michi) was very attentive, and even the stroller had a good place to park. The food was delicious, as were the drinks. The view directly onto the lake is magnificent; we love it there.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Highly recommended! The Schlosswirtschaft in Tegernsee impresses with friendly, attentive staff and a cozy, atmospheric ambiance. Most of the dishes are truly delicious, although the Kaiserschmarrn (€13.80) wasn't quite fluffy and the portion was rather small – you'd almost think it had already taken a short nap. 😉 All in all, a very successful visit that I'd happily recommend.

A very nice ambiance right on the lake, and despite the full house, the service was first-class. The waitress was very friendly, unrushed, and really quick. The food is excellent value for money. €19.50 for spaghetti with black tiger prawns, which tasted outstanding; fantastic!

We often eat there, and the food itself and the ambiance are always fantastic. From the various rooms to the restrooms and the terrace, everything is always very well-maintained. In February 2024, we celebrated our civil wedding at the Quirinus Stüberl with a champagne reception, appetizers, coffee, and cake. The pre-arrangement, both on-site and via email, went smoothly and was extremely courteous. All questions were answered very quickly and reliably. The wedding cake was provided by a local pastry shop, and the floral arrangements were provided by a florist. These service providers handled communication directly with the Schlosswirtschaft regarding delivery, so everything was perfectly organized when we arrived.

We held our pre-wedding dinner with 20 people at the Schlosswirtschaft restaurant three weeks ago. The advance arrangements were excellent. We were served our aperitif on the terrace, and we sat in a separate room for dinner. Fantastic! We were able to order our main courses a la carte, and the prearranged appetizer platters were very well received by our guests. The main courses arrived promptly, served together, and were delicious. The subsequent round of schnapps was excellent. We were particularly pleased. We would like to highlight our server, Jimmy, who elevated the evening to an even higher level with his good humor, attentiveness, and presence. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening. We would love to do it again!

The hospitality was striking; we were seated at a great table, and the server was very accommodating! The food was excellent, and the gravy is highly recommended! We had a wonderful time and would love to come back!

Very good service. The roast pork is recommended. The portions are good. If you're expecting a certain exclusivity compared to neighboring breweries regarding the menu and its execution, you'll probably be disappointed. Perhaps that's also why it's easier to get a seat here.

Great food, great view, friendly service. We spontaneously stopped by for lunch. The cheese spaetzle was exceptionally delicious. We even got delicious salads to go with the dishes. Direct view of Lake Tegernsee. We'd love to come back. We sat outside, but the interior is also very nice and tasteful. In contrast to the adjacent Herzogliches Braustüberl Tegernsee (where the food is also delicious), it's a lot quieter and more relaxed here.

If you want excellent food with great service in one of the most beautiful places in the world, then the Schlosswirtschaft is the place for you. A week ago, we celebrated a birthday there with 30 people and spent an unforgettable evening. Jimmy and his son Luan provided excellent, attentive, and friendly service. Ms. Wohlfahrt did a fantastic job in every phase of the preparation and during the evening itself. She was open to any changes and provided us with excellent advice and support. Traditional Bavarian restaurant with an Asian touch (food). Good service, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. Disappointing dinner dish though - very old and dry roasted duck which was announced as ‘the highlight of the week’….not worth it at all

Very relaxed and comfortable seating right by the lake (an insider tip as an alternative to the more hectic Bräustüberl), very attentive service, dogs are welcome, and the food is good value for money (and delicious, too). The interior is very nicely decorated.

Basically, nothing is left to be desired here: a beautiful location by the lake, great staff, and delicious food. Unfortunately, the overly loud club music from the attached beach club ruined any atmosphere for a relaxed dinner. A real shame, and unnecessary on a holiday.

Der Blick aufs Wasser und die umliegenden Berge ist super schön!

Trotz der vielen Besucher am Pfingstmontag war der Service ausgezeichnet, sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend - und der Schweinsbraten war der leckerste, den wir je gegessen haben, obwohl wir schon seit vielen Jahren immer wieder in Bayern sind. Kompliment.

We had Zwiebelrostbraten (onion roast beef) and Kaasspatzn (cheese spaetzle), both of which were really delicious! The fries could have been better 😉 Our server was super friendly and attentive, which is why we left a slightly higher tip. The ambiance is really great, very close to the water and the park. Yesterday we went to the Schlosswirtschaft for dinner after our registry office ceremony – it was a dream! Planning the meal with Ms. Wohlfahrt and Ms. Zangl went smoothly; all of our wishes were implemented and complemented with sensible suggestions. The absolute highlight of the Schlosswirtschaft was Jimmy, who accompanied us throughout the day. He anticipated every wish from the guests' eyes, whether they were two years old or 73, and with his cheerful professionalism, he ensured that we will have very fond memories of the Schlosswirtschaft!

A beautifully located restaurant with a beer garden right next to the castle, overlooking the lake. We got a seat without a reservation, but it was quite busy. Service was okay. There were plenty of servers around. The food was good. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a selection. Overall, recommended.

Beautiful restaurant! Unfortunately, we had to sit inside due to the rain. The vaulted ceiling was extremely beautiful, and the drinks and service were excellent. We made the mistake of ordering potato pancakes. Unfortunately, they were served very poorly. Three very thin "cookies" for €12 were without any decoration, and a dollop of apple sauce was unfortunately not what we had hoped for. Our own fault. The location, right on Lake Tegernsee, is absolutely perfect.

A Bavarian dream! The food is excellent and the service first-class. We would have preferred the terrace in the bright sunshine, but unfortunately it was raining. Thanks to the modern, warm, and Bavarian ambiance, we quickly forgot about the rain. Highly recommended! ✨

As Viennese, we had a Wienerschnitzel, which was in no way inferior to anything you'd find in Vienna. First-class! A few more sunny spots and fewer umbrellas would have been nice.

You can eat very well here in a wonderful atmosphere. The service is courteous, competent and fast. The selection of dishes is large. In addition to Bavarian, there are also Asian dishes. Everything was extremely tasty, served hot and beautifully presented. The price-performance ratio is very good for the location and the quality on offer here. The schweinebraten is crusty and delicious! Highly recommend! Here you find a cool vibe and traditional German food. The prices are fair, the view is amazing and the service is fast. Reservation is a must on sunny weekends.

The restaurant was quite empty at lunchtime (in the off-season). The food was really delicious and there was a generous portion too. I liked the atmosphere because it was nicely decorated but not too cluttered. The service was good, our waitress was nice and we got our food quickly.

Pros: + Nice atmosphere + Delicious food + Very friendly service + Dog friendly + Possibility to get small portions Cons: No. In detail: We became aware of the castle economy via the Tegernsee tourist information website (I have no idea if that's what it's called 😅). The table reservation was very easy via the website. When we arrived, we were offered water and organic treats for the dog (see photo - no unspecified animal by-products). The waiter was very friendly and when we asked about the portion sizes, he offered to allow us to have small portions. Wasn't necessary, but still cool! We had the roast pork, the spicy beef, side salads and a Kaiserschmarrn for dessert to share. The food came quickly and was really tasty! The meat was tender, the sauces were very flavorful, the side dishes were on point! Clear recommendation!

They really thought of everything and made sure our wedding went off without a hitch. The food was a poem - every single course was a culinary highlight, our guests loved it! And as if that wasn't enough, they even thought along and reserved outdoor seats for us in the bright sunshine without us having to ask - very thoughtful. The castle economy not only met our expectations, but far exceeded them. It was just perfect and I couldn't imagine a better place for our wedding. A huge thank you to Ms. Wohlfarth, Daniel and the entire team for this unforgettable day!
