Delicious cake, fast and friendly service, a beautiful spot on the terrace overlooking Lake Tegernsee. Wonderful!

We stopped in for a quick ice cream while waiting for a bus. There seemed to be plenty of seating inside, and there is also lots of room outside overlooking the lake.

We've already been there twice on this trip. Once in the evening in the parlor and once outside on the sunny terrace with a stunning view of the lake! What can I say…?! The food was delicious, the service was very friendly and welcoming, and the ambiance was perfect… We'll definitely be back and definitely recommend it!

No idea what my owners thought. But the waiter gave me a delicious piece of meat in exchange for two legs and a seat.

I came here for dinner with my three children on the recommendation of a local. The exterior appearance of the restaurant is deceptive; the interior reveals a very beautiful, modern Alpine dining room. The service is very friendly and prompt. We all enjoyed the dishes very much; there was nothing to complain about. I had trout, which, contrary to my expectations, was even served filleted and tasted excellent. The portions are generous, but there is the option to get a smaller portion with a €2 discount. I think that's fair and sustainable. We happily recommend the restaurant and will be back.

Super delicious food, very friendly service

We went to Seeglas for dinner yesterday based on some recommendations. It was very nice there, and the view was breathtaking, with a direct view of Lake Tegernsee. Drinks and food were brought to our table quickly. 👍 We had the pasta with salmon and herb cream sauce and pork loin with homemade spaetzle. Both were delicious. 😋 The waiters were all very friendly. 😊 We will be back and definitely recommend this restaurant. 🤩

Super friendly staff, delicious food and a great view of the lake.

Whenever I drive back from Austria or Italy, I stop here for a break. A great place with a view of the lake. Extremely friendly and efficient staff, excellent food, fair prices in a lovely setting. But don't expect to have the place to yourself. Here, the customer is still king, and it shows.

We had the pork loin and the Kaiserschmarrn. Both dishes were very good: the mushroom sauce was absolutely delicious! The pork loin was a bit dry, but seasoned well, and the spaetzle were fantastic ☺️. The Kaiserschmarrn was crispy, which I wasn't used to, but the caramel still went well with it. The prices were a bit high, but that's the case everywhere in this area, and you get a really decent portion. Highly recommended, and we would come back!

We got a great spot on the covered terrace, and the friendly host kept a table for us despite our delay. The service was also very friendly. The food was simple but excellent! Highly recommended!

I visited the restaurant for lunch today and was thoroughly satisfied. The welcome was very warm, the service attentive and prompt. The food was served promptly, fresh, warm, and delicious. Particularly noteworthy are the generous portions, which are definitely filling. The ambiance is also impressive – the view of Lake Tegernsee is beautiful even in rainy weather and rounds off the experience. Keep up the good work!

Really reasonable prices for Lake Tegernsee, delicious food, including great service

Unfortunately, this place cannot be visited with a dog, and even sitting on the terrace is not allowed – despite the fact that there’s a dog-friendly beach nearby. It’s the closest spot for refreshments, but we didn’t try it because of this restriction, which I honestly don’t understand.

We had cheese spaetzle with a side salad and rump steak with fried potatoes, as well as a children's menu: fries with ketchup/mayo and schnitzel. We all enjoyed it immensely. The portions were generous. We were able to place our drink orders very quickly. Drinks and food were served promptly. The service was friendly and attentive. Parking was right on site. Easy card payments. Beautiful view. Highly recommended!

Nice restaurant, very good service. Unfortunately, the rump steak was disappointing for €31 and mango ice cream from a can instead of fresh. With a good 0.5-liter beer, I paid €45 – too expensive for the quality.

The food was delicious and served very quickly. The view was also great. However, one of the waitresses was extremely unfriendly...she won't get a single cent more tip from me next time.

We stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance. The Seeglas team, the ambiance, the view, and especially the food are truly top-notch! The team is super accommodating and always friendly. The wooden furnishings are a perfect fit for us guests (from the Black Forest). The view of Lake Tegernsee, including the terrace, is breathtakingly beautiful. The food… as I said – top-notch! Superb quality, whether it was the asparagus cream soup, the carpaccio, the tomato and mozzarella, the cheese spaetzle, or the roast beef with onions. The food was so good that we came by two days in a row! :) If we had been here for three days, we would probably have come back three days in a row ;-) If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again! Disastrous food. The waitress directed me to the kiosk so I could get a shandy, even though I pointed out that I'd be ignored there! I don't understand why I didn't get a table! Absolutely terrible place!

🥩 Seeglas Gmund – Summer, Lake, and Steak Sandwich Visited Seeglas today – swimming, relaxing, and then the perfect snack: The steak sandwich with horseradish from the kiosk was really good – tender meat, nicely seasoned, and a cold Spezi beer. We stopped here briefly on our way home. It was a lovely place to linger. We didn't eat anything, but the dishes all looked delicious.

We were there for a sad occasion, after the funeral of a good friend, but the restaurant is really nice and the food was more than good, truly excellent, and the service was fantastic; they always kept an eye out for anything. And I thought it wasn't that expensive for Tegernsee standards. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, otherwise you could have sat outside right by the water.

I highly recommend this place. Great service and delicious food! Fast service and friendly staff. The parking lot right next to the restaurant is large enough. The prices at the restaurant are reasonable for the large portions. I'd be happy to come back 😊

Very tasty food, very well geared towards children.

When we asked if we were welcome with our dogs, we were told "yes, of course," which we were very pleased about. Following the recommendation of the waiter, we ordered the cream puffs with coffee, which we really enjoyed. The friendliness and service were super nice. We'd be happy to come back... greetings to the staff.

I've reviewed the restaurant numerous times and it's always a pleasure to write about it. So the location is great, the food is first class and the drinks are wonderful and now comes the best part, the landlord and his team are a great unit and always super friendly.

Good food next to the beautiful lake

We know the innkeeper from the days of the old blacksmith shop in Dürnbach. We always eat at Schorsch when we are on vacation at Tegernsee. The landlord and his staff are very attentive and friendly. And everything on the menu or daily specials is super tasty and well portioned. Price-performance ratio is right, the ambience is harmonious and the location right on the lake is simply great. A reservation is advisable as the restaurant is very busy. Always my pleasure.

Wir waren zu viert beim Mittagessen und hatten reserviert. Wir bekamen einen schönen Platz, großzügig und gemütlich. Das Essen, bestehend aus Suppe und vier verschiedenen Gerichten war sehr lecker. Zur Nachspeise gab's Kuchen, der auch sehr gut schmeckte. Die Bedienung war freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir waren rundherum zufrieden und können das Lokal sehr empfehlen.

Great Kaiserschmarrn, super char. Alliteration, but authentic. Fish: Juicy, perfectly salted, with crispy, crunchy skin. Kaiserschmarrn: Perfect caramelized crust, dusted with powdered snow. Both grade 1.

People like to go there. The innkeepers and staff are always in a good mood and friendly. The food is very tasty, especially the salads and the Viennese-style schnitzel. Prices are reasonable. Cozy inside, great view of Lake Tegernsee outside on the terrace.

Man sitzt so nah am See wie kaum irgendwo am Tegernsee. Und es gibt einen großen , kostenlosen Parkplatz. Ein sehr gites Essen und ein sehr freundliches Personal machen den Aufenthalt im Seeglas zu einem echten Highlight. Ich rede von einem Besuch im Sommer im Freien. 5 Min. zu Fuß entfernt ist die übrigens die Schiffsanlegestelle.

Food was very good for a good price. Staff was friendly at first, but when their machine didn't accept foreign bank cards the attitude changed quickly to rude and grim. If they preferred cash they could have asked, no drama needed.

This Restaurant is as good as the view of Lake Tegernsee. It is located right on the lake. Nice restaurant, great service, good selection of dishes, fair prices. Nearby there is a children's playground and free parking (for 2 hours).

Wir haben das Restaurant aufgrund der Google Bewertung aufgesucht und sind restlos zufrieden. Wir haben allerdings nur das Restaurant aufgesucht und sind aufgrund der Durchreise nicht über Nacht geblieben. Ganz tolle und nette Servicekraft, die uns toll bediente. Gegessen haben wir einen Schweizer Wurstsalat und Kaiserschmarn und die beiden Gerichte konnten wir, mit Blick auf den See auch super genießen. Parkmöglichkeiten sind genügend vorhanden.

We visited the restaurant based on the Google rating and are completely satisfied. However, we only visited the restaurant and didn't stay overnight because we were in transit. Really great and nice service staff who served us well. We ate a Swiss sausage salad and Kaiserschmarn and we were able to enjoy both dishes with a view of the lake. There are enough parking spaces available.

On the terrace you can sit beautifully in the shade with a great view of the lake. Dogs are also very welcome (on a leash), there are water bowls and even a treat from the waitress :)

Nice food, exceptional view but bad service: there has been a misunderstanding in our order and they didn't care at all, offering "kindly" to throw away the misorder so we'd pay for the two dishes. I guess there is enough clients for them not to care to treat them nicely. First time I'm being treated that badly in a restaurant.
