Bar Centrale in München

Great service, great food, and drinks. It’s almost hard to get a place to sit, as it gets full and crowded. It’s not the best place if you wanna sit down and have a cosy conversation, but cool to catch up for drinks and a fun day/evening out.

Bar storico in pieno centro, siamo stati sia per la colazione, dove potrete gustare dei buonissimi cornetti, sia per la cena, con piatti di pasta buoni ed abbondanti, prezzi onesti. Il bar ha personale tutto italiano, simpatici e disponibili, sempre strapieno di gente. Andateci se passate da queste parti, non ve ne pentirete.

Kaum steht man im Lokal fühlt man sich direkt wie in Italien. Das Essen war sehr lecker, kam schnell, der Service war supernett. Obwohl das Lokal voll voll voll war. Die "Signore di Zurigo" bedanken sich ganz herzlich bei Livio für den super Service!

A real highlight in the heart of Munich! The Bar Centrale is the perfect place for a little break. I tried the cheesecake with pistachios – simply world class! The combination of creamy cheesecake and the pistachio flavor was a delight. There was also a wonderfully prepared cappuccino that was absolutely convincing in terms of taste and texture. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, with a touch of Italian flair, and the service was friendly and attentive. A great café for anyone who appreciates quality and attention to detail. I'll definitely be back and can only recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy a good cup of coffee and something sweet in Munich!

This bar is clearly doing too well these days. When the bar gets full, the staff are often unfriendly and unmotivated and prefer to spend time discussing in Italian who should be served and who shouldn't. No smile or thanks for tips. Overpriced and loveless drinks. It's no fun anymore. Maybe it would make more sense to let a few fewer guests in but then serve them with heart and mind rather than completely overloading yourself and then becoming unfriendly.

Bella Italia in the middle of Munich! Adriano Celentano was playing, the boys are super relaxed, the pasta is heavenly and the espresso martini is a poem!

A typical Italian café in the middle of Munich city center. The café is truly Italian (spirits are awakened!), the service is attentive and charming with good charm. The other drinks and dishes also leave nothing to be desired. It's not always easy to get a table, but there's always time for an espresso at the bar.

AMZING FOOD, fun service and an great location!

Everything was delightful except ice cold dining room. We were told that the AC was turned off yet felt like 4 degrees celcius

The drinks and food was delicious but the dining area was freezingly cold, so if you want to eat some good itallian food being your jackets and scarfs. The front side is a delight though.

I am always full of praise - also for my international guests - like the others here. Just a tiny request: Music, conversations, greetings, everything is loud. The stone floor echoes brutally! There is no need for shouting behind the bar, that definitely detracts from the great elegance of the place. YOU really put you in a good mood! But please be a little more discreet. Thanks. Then we guests can chat better - that's also why we're there.

Cozy little shop with good drinks and surprisingly good pasta dishes for lunch. Small tables and stools and benches, everything is more bar style.

A very disappointing experience - we couldn’t get any waiter’s attention for a while, and then despite having a reservation, had to wait for a long time. The table that they then pointed us to, was completely dirty, and the waiter was rude when we told them about it.

We had a very nice and pleasant evening, the food was fantastic, the drinks were also good, the atmosphere was good, the music was good and the service was very good. Francesco served us very well and was very attentive, very personable and very fun to see how every single table was served without missing anything Everyone had drinks in half of 3 minutes. Porstermartini is recommended again. Ciao Ragazzi alla prossima.

A really Italian day bar with a good atmosphere

We had dinner and the experience was very bad. They placed us at a low table, sitting in backless chairs. The noise was unbearable. The food was not bad but what was embarrassing was when asking for the bill. The waiter came with the dataphone and a marked amount to collect. All this, without giving us the note to see if it was correct. We asked for the note and what was our surprise when we saw that the amount on the dataphone was greater than that on the note. The waiter tells me it was the tip. He had tipped me more than eight euros. I told him that I would leave him whatever tip I considered, not whatever he wanted. The price is very expensive. To not return.

Amazing place with friendliest staff!

I walked in hoping for a meal but left after about five minutes of waiting without any service. The bartender seemed more interested in chatting with female customers at the bar than assisting new arrivals. The cramped seating also suggested it might be better suited for drinks rather than a full meal. While I didn’t get to try the food, the service and overall experience were disappointing.

Dotarłem tu na śniadanie dzięki TripAdvisor i mogę potwierdzić, że jest to doskonałe miejsce na śniadanie w Monachium. Śniadania zarówno słodkie, jak i klasyczne, wytrawne. Klimatyczne miejsce, poranny gwar, obsługa uwija się bardzo sprawnie i jest bardzo miła. Na jedzenie czekałem bardzo krótko. DOSKONAŁA kawa!!! Zdecydowanie wrócę tu znowu.

Small, at first glance rather inconspicuous, Italian café, which is located a little quieter on a side street and yet centrally in the city. We became aware of this through the cooperation with Amex and had a very tasty breakfast here. Also highly recommended for an aperitif. The service is also great, you feel a bit like you're in Italy. Gladly again!

Great café with a very authentic Italian atmosphere and staff who care about the guests despite the hustle and bustle. From the espresso to the croissants with pistachio cream and the very good wines, it is simply a dream. Absolute recommendation!

I almost don't want to tell people about this café because I want to be able to get a table there haha it's so gorgeous, the people are incredibly friendly, the FOOD is delicious and the coffee ☕️ is obviously amazing. The atmosphere is amazing, especially in the summer in the middle of Munich city 💗 It would say reserve a table for brunch!! It's pretty small and fills up quickly! It's dog friendly but pretty tiny so you might find it hard to move around with a dog or with a wheelchair. Try the foccacia with salami!!!!

This bar is definitely an institution in Munich. Yes, the facility has seen better days, but it also gets a lot of use. The Bar Centrale tends to be very busy. Italian is spoken (and of course German). And you sing Italian, but not German. The cocktails and wines stand out. The food is also good, but that's not a reason for me to go to the bar. There's good coffee during the day. It was like that here 20 years ago. Even non-Munich residents feel at home here.

The atmosphere and service were truly amazing! The vibe is unique, though at times it felt a bit too informal, which I understand might be part of the bar's concept. However, I was a bit disappointed with the pasta, as it didn't quite look or taste homemade, despite being told it was made from scratch. Additionally, serving white wine at room temperature and insisting that's how it should be was a bit surprising. I wish the place all the best, but I'm unsure if I would return.

I don't know if we were unlucky, but we had a waitress who couldn't be more rude. The truth is after yelling at us that we could only be there until 1, when it was 11:50, but as if it were a problem. Finally we left without taking anything because the atmosphere was hostile

Asian people not supposed to visit here. Slighltly racism. i found some staff are not kind. one staff took all dishes even we didn’t finish. (didn’t ask me finshed?) I don’t want other Asian people feel racism anymore here.

An authentic Italian atmosphere

The food is really great and the prices are fair. However, you only sit comfortably in the front part of the restaurant, the back room has little atmosphere and uncomfortable seating.

RACIST, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! The other day I was at Bar Centrale and ordered a drink. Tall man with a beard (not bald) with tattoos on his arm refused to serve a drink and just said "No drink". When I asked why, he said, "This is an Italian bar." When I asked if I wasn't welcome here, he didn't answer and repeated, "No drinks." I wanted to know if this only applied to me or to everyone. His answer: "You can go somewhere else." He also signed CROSS with his arms/hands, which was pretty offensive. A video recently surfaced showing foreigners being treated similarly. It's sad that such racist behavior happens in the middle of Munich. I will never go to this bar again and advise everyone to avoid this place. Racism must not be tolerated. I urge the owner to take responsibility and ensure that his staff does not act on racist grounds as it will harm his business. I also appeal to the city authorities to check this place and document similar cases. The owner should be held accountable and fined for such negligence. Foreigners should stop visiting this place, they look at you differently.

Was spoken to really rudely the other day when I asked in the afternoon whether there were any more croissants available. The waiter then firstly didn't even look at me properly and secondly spoke to me in an incredibly arrogant manner about how I came to the conclusion that there should be croissants in the afternoon. And really in a very condescending tone. Funnily enough, a few weeks before I was there with a friend late at lunchtime and it was no problem to sell us croissants with pistachio cream (even to take away). I was also eating there last month and we were sold pasta with what was supposed to be porcini mushroom sauce. Even the table next door commented that the dish didn't taste like porcini mushrooms. However, the staff denied this and the service was simply unpleasant. Strangely enough, the dish was later removed from the menu. We did get a small dessert as compensation, but since the service was so outrageous on our last visit, I had to share this experience. I've been here a lot, but that's probably it for now.

Always worth a visit when staying in Munich!

I visited this establishment for the first time today and it left a very positive impression. The cappuccino was cooked properly and the croissant had a delightful pistachio cream. Compared to other establishments, it isn't too expensive, even though the cafe is very popular. I plan to return to try their pistachio cheesecake and pasta someday.

We had arranged to meet several people for dinner. Unfortunately our reservation was forgotten and we were seated at a small table. After I wanted to go to the toilet and touched the couch with my feet because of the small tables, the “cafe manager” freaked out. He said I should apologize for my wrongdoing. I didn't do this. We were then expelled from the location. Even in front of the bar we were harassed by the “leader”. Customer service like this is unbelievable. We will never set foot in here again. Sorry but that doesn't work...

It's not just any Italian bar in Munich, it's THE bar!! Whether it's outstanding pasta or the best tiramisu in town, everything is just right here! The ambience and service are also simply great! I've been to you many times and I'm always happy to come back🥹😍

According to the website, they are open until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, but unfortunately you can no longer get a cappuccino to take away shortly after 4 p.m. (There were also a few guests there) Always a big fan of the Bar Centrale and the service was always great .But to be treated like that, I'm very disappointed.😟😟😟😟

Definitely NOT a relaxed breakfast. You get thrown out after less than 50 minutes!!! I wasn't even allowed to drink the water I had paid for! The waiter knocked on our table three times within 5 minutes and said very rudely, “Girls pay immediately.” It should also be mentioned that our dishes hadn’t even been cleared away and, as mentioned above, our drinks were still full…
