They forgot our order. The food eventually arrived cold and oily. It’s also very pricey (€25 for a salad).

I'm from Japan. It was all great meal! Especially the truffle pasta very delicious! I ate tiramisu every day during my stay in Germany, but this was the best! The service was very good and the food came out quickly. I'll definitely come here again when I visit Munich. It's very popular so we recommend making a reservation. Vongole were so poorly cooked that there were splinters in every shell. Unfortunately, this made for a completely bad experience.

As an Italian who has been to many places, I can only remain speechless in front of a WONDERFUL place like this. Exceptional food, very high quality prepared with care and professionalism that makes Italian cuisine beyond the top of what it already is. The service was impeccable with the very kind and knowledgeable staff. A special thanks and compliment goes to the owner Guido who, in addition to being kind and friendly with customers, is a wonderful person, with attentive and pleasant care towards the customer. Very tasty food and wine in an upscale trattoria atmosphere

I’m giving 3 stars instead of 1 because I had to eat there again, and we were served by an Italian waiter named Sebastian, If i remember well. He was very nice and attentive. If it weren’t for him, I would have given 1 star due to the rude and unpleasant treatment from another waiter the first day. I don’t know his name, but he’s older, bald, and wears glasses. The place would be much better without people like him who clearly don’t want to work.

Great! We ordered penne arrabbiata and truffle spaghetti, and for dessert the crema catalana. Everything was very, very good. The ambience is beautiful and the service exceptional! Toto from Sicily was our waiter. Very polite, helpful, super personable… I'm very, very happy to come back! :)

I want to clarify that we were willing to leave a very different review, but since we had the hotel next door, we decided to give it another chance. The food was delicious both days. The service was the difference. The first day we were served by an incredibly rude waiter. We stayed because we were traveling and it was late to eat. He treated us really badly, until we got angry. On top of that, when he brought the bill, he had the audacity to pressure us with the tip. Tonight, however, he (perhaps the owner) very kindly accompanied us to the table. We were served by Salvatore, who received 5 stars for service. He was incredibly professional, polite and personable, and the contrast was so stark that my review and our impression of this restaurant has changed dramatically.

I just went in because I was staying in the hotel next door and was in the mood for a little something. Was greeted very nicely (by one of the bosses, I assume), well advised and excellent food. I only ate antipasti, but they were excellent. And the wine too. The restaurant is also guarded by a very cute bulldog. ;)

It was a perfect and very tasty experience. Really fun! We spent two whole hours there.. The food is delicious and not burdensome. Very fresh ingredients. The service is exceptional in its niceness and flow. The bill turned out to be a little expensive but worth the pleasure. Go for it.

First of all, what we thought was good and worth highlighting is: Starters Carpaccio + Vitello Tonnato were really good, the taste was really nice and also a decent portion for 24 euros and I would say the price is absolutely worth it, you can't complain for the quality. You get a nice one Experience. I ate pasta made from Parmesan cheese twice (the 2nd time) this time it was simply dry, unfortunately, adding more salt and pepper isn't a problem, but if it's not as creamy as the first time and not as intense in taste, I find it difficult. Which I personally found impossible. The waiter was the end. We paid by card. We always tip in cash because we're always worried that people won't really get it. That's why we like to do it in person if the service was good in bar. When we paid by card the waiter asked how much. My husband didn't understand that either and read the receipt to him and he then asked if there was any tip. Sorry but... that doesn't work at all. We are not in the USA. Asking for a tip is not an option if it was up to me. I wouldn't have wanted to give anything after the event, but my husband was nice enough to give 10 euros. I would have liked it from the bottom of my heart because 1. the service left us alone, 2. it was quick and 3. it was polite. What was missing, and what was missing the last time we came for the pasta, was the Italian fire, the human touch, the niceness, the passion for the job. I missed that the second time too. Since I like to enjoy the whole package and like to pay for good food, but not just good food but the whole package has to be right, I would no longer visit Vino e Gusto and leave it at the second chance. However, we wish the owner all the best! Maybe something else nice, I found the dogs super cute, not bad at all, but I can imagine that it could bother guests. Some people may complain about the prices, but we are more open about it. Again: All the best to the restaurant, you don't have to ask for tips, people will give them if others also recognize the quality. Just don't forget the human aspect of it. Lg

This place is awesome! The food was great, I loved the carbonara. My wife loved the bolognese. The owner was so inviting and called us a cab when our app wasn’t working. The attention was top notch. If you want to enjoy a great evening, maybe meet the owner and his dogs and enjoy the best Italian food in Munich, this is the place.

We had a reservation and went to Vino e Gusto as a couple. The restaurant was very busy (Friday evening). However, the service that day was totally overwhelmed. In some cases there were even discussions between employees about responsibilities. We - and the other guests too - always had to wait a long time for each order. Given the rather high prices, this is a no go. The food and also the wines were very good.

An amazing Italian restaurant. We went there last night with two kids (12 and 5). Warm welcoming atmosphere, with a special hospitality by owners' two charming bulldogs, helpful staff, friendly owner, and most important delicious food and great wine! Perfecto!

A truly wonderful evening at Vino e Gusto. We were there for the spaghetti made from a parmesan loaf, which tasted excellent, but also the bruschetta with home-baked bread hammer. The boss and the waitresses were super friendly and took into account all the special features.

A very nice restaurant, I was there with my girlfriend, we received a very warm welcome. I ate spaghetti carbonara and I have to say that I haven't eaten such a good carbonara in a long time. "Orginal" Prepared without cream, the price was a bit expensive but it was absolutely worth it. Can only recommend the restaurant 🙂 The service was also absolutely friendly, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

It was a cheap evening after all. When I asked to remove the house's free-roaming dog from our table, the boss told me that I was probably scared, but that there had been a dog here for 8 years and we knew about it. And then "You're my guest today, but we'll never see each other again." Agreed!

Nice Italian restaurant with a nice atmosphere. That's how it started. We ordered antipasti as a starter, which was good so far. The main course was sea bream with vegetables and spaghetti carbonara, as it was advertised on the menu. The carbonara and the side dishes with the sea bream were inedible. Unfortunately! When we politely complained about this, we didn't even respond. Zero! It didn't matter at all and from that point on we were treated as if we should just pay straight away and leave the restaurant. A no go in my opinion! So, there was no dessert, except for two espressos. Of course, nothing was deducted from the bill by the restaurant, or an apology, etc. I have a business myself, but you can't and shouldn't treat customers (guests) like that. For us, it was the last visit there. So it was definitely not a nice end to International Women's Day.

A great cozy restaurant. The original Italian food makes it difficult not to eat your way through the menu from front to back. Without a reservation it is almost impossible to get a seat. The service is great.

Fazit: Die Speisen werden dem Preis nicht gerecht, da ruht sich jemand Mittags auf dem Erfolg aus. Das Lokal war eine Empfehlung, das ausgesuchte Gericht gab es nicht, würde uns nach 30 Min Wartezeit mitgeteilt, Teller für Brot gab es nur widerwillig, wir es schmeckt wollte keiner Wissen und die Spaghetti aus dem Parmesanleib waren viel zu ölig und es wurde nur fertiger Parmesan darüber gestreut. Das Essen war gut, allerdings fragt man sich, was bei einer Spaghetti Carbonara den Preis von 25,90€ rechtfertigt? Der Guanciale war zudem nicht scharf angebraten, sondern recht roh. Eine Flasche Sprudelwasser für 8,90€? Ein (zumindest gestern) unfreundlicher Kellner bzw. Gastgeber kommt noch obendrauf… Daher leider erster und letzter Besuch.

Tolles Lokal mit einem sehr angenehmen und Kompetenten Gastgeber, sehr feinem Essen bei dem auch auf extrawünsche eingegangen wird. Vielen Dank für eure Gastfreundschaft wir kommen gerne wieder!

We are visiting from Florida staying next door at the Maximillian, and ate at Vino e Gusto 3 times in a week. The food is amazing, the staff is amazing, and the owner Guido made us feel like old friends. The prices are very reasonable for fine dining, and the wine selection is extensive. Highly recommended.....and for my fellow Americans, English menus are available and all staff speak perfect English, with a little Italian accent of course!!!

Brilliant food and wine. But for me the star of the show was the host. He was brilliant. So friendly with everyone. Would sit at the table also and have a conversation. The 2 dogs wandering around I really liked. Very well behaved but I know it would put some people off. I would definitely go back when in Munich again.

An der Stelle einmal leider einen kurzen aber wahren Bericht von dem Geburtstagsessen meiner besten Freundin gestern. Der Service was katastrophal dafür, dass es durchaus ein etwas gehobener Italiener ist. Bei der Bestellung war der Kellner genervt, kurz angebunden und unfreundlich. Wir haben keinen Brotkorb bekommen. Auch Parmesan sowie teilweise Besteck kamen erst auf Nachfrage. Wir haben 1 1/2 Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet. Die Flasche Wein, kam leider nicht zum vor dem Essen sondern erst als alle fertig waren. Alles in allem wer auf sehr unfreundlichen Service, lange Wartezeiten und co steht ist hier An der richtigen Adresse.

Negativ: -lange Wartezeit mittags, obwohl kaum etwas los war -Baustellenlärm -bei der Rechnung wurde zu viel berechnet - der Oberkellner was nicht sehr freundlich Die Pasta war ok, jedoch nichts besonderes. Wir fühlten uns nicht willkommen und kommen definitiv nicht noch einmal.

Essen schmeckt durchschnittlich, Carbonara für knapp 24€ ist aber deutlich zu teuer, auch wenn das Ambiente ganz schön ist. 2 Hunde sind im Restaurant anscheinend vom Besizer frei rumgelaufen. Getopt wurde das ganze noch von Haar im essen. Nicht nocheinmal.

Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Preise etwas höher, etwas zu hoch.

Entspannte Atmosphäre, freundlicher Umgang mit Gästen, beste Empfehlung bei Auswahl von Speisen + Getränke: Vorspeisenplatte mit genialem vitello tonnato und borettane Zwiebel, Hauptspeise eine knusprig gebratene Dorade, zum Abschluss ein Tiramisu, das in bester Erinnerung bleibt! Ganz klar: bei nächster Gelegenheit gerne wieder.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Pasta hätte noch einwenig wärmer sein können. Service und Chef waren sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Schade war jedoch nur, dass eine (scheinbar) Stammkundin sich mit Worten wie „wenn sie noch ein Foto vom Essen macht hau ich ihr eine rein“ (kein Zitat, der genaue Wortlaut war nicht zu verstehen) darüber aufgeregt hat, dass ich meine Pasta fotografiert habe um Werbung in den sozialen Medien zu machen. Sie meinte zwar beim gehen, dass es nicht so böse gemeint war, es dennoch „sinnlos“ sei. Deshalb habe ich es dann mit Werbung machen für die leckere Pasta gelassen.

Ich war gestern das erste Mal im Vino e Gusto. Zusammen mit meinem Besuch aus dem hohen Norden wollte ich gern abseits des Trubels italienisches Essen und das Ambiente genießen. Wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Zum Einen: Die beiden Bulldoggen vor Ort. Die heimlichen Koberer Münchens. Zum Anderen: Das überaus aufmerksame Personal, der Standort und das Essen haben uns vollständig überzeugt. Wir hatten einen wirklich sehr schönen Abend und ich komme mit dem nächsten Besuch aus der Heimat definitiv wieder.

Wir hatten einen schönen,unterhaltsamen und gemütlichen Abend unter freien Himmel bei leckerem Wein. Der Chef heißt einen herzlich willkommen, auch wenn man nichts isst. Die beiden supersüßen Doggi’s strahlen zusätzliche Ruhe aus. Das Personal ist freundlich - die Weinberatung war sehr stimmig. Wir kommen gerne wieder und dann speisen wir auch hier.

Todo riquísimo, excelente servicio, lo único un poco caro, pero merece la pena.

Wir waren diese Woche zum ersten Mal im Vino e Gusto und es wird mit ziemlicher Sicherheit auch das letzte Mal gewesen sein. Ich habe meine Frau auf der Suche nach einem Abendlokal nach dem bis dahibn perfekten Stadtbummel hierhin gelotst, weil wir schon etliche Male hier vorbeigelaufen sind und Lage und Ambiente einfach Lust gemacht haben. Vorab erwähnen muss ich und das kann man auch an meinen sonstigen Bewertungen sehen, wählen wir nie ein Lokal nach dem Preis, sondern vor allem nach Qualität und Service aus. Dann ging es aber schon los los mit der Begrüßung, "wir sind nur zu zweit, deswegen kann es sein,dass es länger dauert". Ich will hier aber ausdrücklich nicht die Bedienungen kritisieren, die haben sich kräftig bemüht. Aperitif und Vorspeise kamen dann auch zügig. Die Qualität der Speisen ( Rucolasalat mit Parmesanhobeln, 15,90) und dann Spaghetti aus dem Parmesanlaib ( knapp 22,00) € konnte aber mit den Preisen einfach nicht mithalten. Wie schon ein Kritiker vor mir schrieb, war der Käse klumpig, die Pasta dauerten ewig und waren lauwarm. Was aber wirklich nur 2 Sterne wert war, ist, dass der Wirt seine Mitarbeiter rödeln lässt und sich lieber ostentativ zu seinen Stammgästen setzt, mit denen Weinchen trinkt und (über hier nicht zitierbare Dinge) schwätzt. Derweil sitzen ALLE Gäste in seiner direkten Umgebung, warten auf Essen und Trinken. Das ist eine offen zur Schau getragene Geringschätzung seinen Mitarbeitern und seinen Gästen gegenüber. Am Ende haben wir für 2 Personen mit Aperitiv, 2 Salaten, 2 mal Pasta 1 Glas Wein und 1 Flasche Wasser fast 116,00 € dagelassen. Für dieses Geld wären wir vermutlich auf der Dachterrasse des Mandarin Oriental auch satt geworden. Die 2 Sterne gibts für die Mühen der Belegschaft und das Ambiente/Die Lage. Nur ein Stern wäre auch angemessen, den hat aber bislang nur eine Postfiliale von mir bekommen. Ganz so schlimm wie bei der Post war es hier dann doch nicht.

Sind schon oft vorbeigekommen und es sah immer nett aus. Daher hatten wir es heute auf dem Programm und hatten und sehr auf den Besuch gefreut. Aufgrund der Karte (und der aufgerufenen Preise) hatten wir etwas höhere Erwartungen. Die Muscheln in Weißwein wurden leider eher nur in Wasser gekocht und waren etwas fad. Die Pasta aus dem Parmesanlaib war leider lediglich buttrig mit ein paar kleinen Parmesanklumpen, ob diese je einen Laib von innen gesehen hat, ist fraglich. Denn normalerweise ist diese immer cremig, so sieht es auch auf den Bildern der anderen Rezensionen aus. Vermutlich hatte ich heute einfach Pech oder der Koch ist neu. Zusätzlich war es nur auf Nachfrage möglich gemeinsam (zu zweit) zu essen, da ein Hauptgang angeblich von der Küche falsch gemacht wurde. Die Kellnerin hätte keine Anstalten gemacht, dass man den Gang gemeinsam essen kann. Die Frage des Nachbartisches nach einer Empfehlung eines Weißweins beantwortete sie mit „ich bringe die Karte, da ich keinen Weißwein trinke und lediglich einen Wein hier kenne“. In dieser Preislage (pp ca. 90€) hätten wir im Gesamtpaket deutlich mehr erwartet.

This restaurant was fabulous! All of the positive reviews are 100% correct. We were visiting from the United States and we’re so grateful we found this restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was absolutely delicious.

Gurkensuppe hat nach Wasser geschmeckt - Brot war dafür gut. Unser Wunsch nach einem Platz draußen wurde ignoriert - obwohl die gesamte Zeit Tische (sogar direkt vor uns) frei waren. Waren ca 2h dort.

We had an amazing experience. Service was great and the food was outstanding. But, the English Bulldog managers were the best. Definitely will return.

Fantastic waiter who was engaging and entertaining. The owner is very friendly and gracious and his bull dog “harem” are the perfect mascots. Food was the best Italian we had in Munich. Don’t miss this one.

Gutes Essen, netter Service und Preisleistung auch okay gerne wieder

Very quaint Italian spot near Marianplatz. Two adorable dogs add to the enjoyment of this restaurant. However, the food quality was a bit inconsistent. One in our party ordered Penne Arriabata, which was so spicy it was inedible. Also, after two bottles of $8 euro still-water, we asked for some tap water (which is excellent in Munich) and we were charged $2 euro for a small carafe that the waiter did not really even want to serve us. Two euros for tap water?? We spent about $150 euros on the meal and find this to be ridiculous.

The food was absolutely delicious! It is a local place run by friendly Italians. The prices are amazing for the quality of food. Best Italian food I have had in years, and I travel all over the US and Europe.

Local small eatery in the old area of Munich. Owner was super friendly and reseated us at a nicer table after they had a cancellation. Food was amazing and the wait staff was very friendly and helpful. Wine selection was extensive and reasonable. The owner again was helpful at the end of the night trying to get a lost Uber drive for our pick up.
