Exceptional service, delicious dishes and friendly atmosphere!! Highly recommend

Yesterday was my first time dining at your restaurant, and I have to say, I was completely blown away. The food wasn't just incredibly good, but the way everything was presented was truly impressive. For example, we had this Gin Spritz with basil, served in a traditional porcelain coffee pot, the kind your grandma used to make, but in a high-class version that perfectly complemented the overall atmosphere. And then there was the ambiance. The softly dimmed lighting, candles everywhere, everything warm, cozy, and elegant all at once. It had that New York Gatsby high-class cabaret feel, only without the cabaret, but with fantastic music. At times, it truly felt like summer in Saint-Tropez. I've been thinking about that evening so much since yesterday because the whole experience was so impressive. For me, your restaurant is already one of the most beautiful in all of Munich.

It was such a great evening! Amazing baristas, so friendly and funny, the interior of the place, the people, the music… We had such an amazing time with my friend! Chatted so much, laughed even more and enjoyed delicious pasta with truffles🥰 Also had so much fun dancing there later in the night and took so many pictures in beautifully designed bathroom! I celebrated my birthday at Jacob and had a really great evening. The venue has a lovely atmosphere, the food was good and arrived incredibly quickly, and above all, the service (I think our waiter's name was Adrian) was outstanding. Thanks for the wonderful evening! 😊

We went there to celebrate a birthday of a friend and has a reservation for 7 people (all girls). The waiter wasn't really paying attention to us at all but the reason I'm leaving a 1 star review is the following: Unfortunately, at one point two annoying guys asked us (borderline demanded) that we squeeze ourselves so they can sit with us. We tried to politely give a hint that this is a closed table but they didn't understand it. They kept hovering at our table, and one of them even rudely squeezed himself between us and the waiter when we were paying. Rolling his eyes that we're taking too long to pay, and he put his drink on our table, UNINVITED. I started to get angry and shouted at him over the music that he is bothering us and he has to leave. He took at least 3 minutes of arguing until he left, all the while the MALE waiter did nothing at all to help me out. This should have been his job, keeping the guy away from us and asking him to leave. He did NOTHING. Food is okay but more mediocre than good. I will never return and cannot recommend this place.

An excellent restaurant – a successful blend of classic elegance and modern flair. The staff is exceptionally attentive. The food was simply divine. The sea bream with potatoes and broccoli was crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside – perfection! The cocktails also deserve high praise – Jacob’s Darling, in particular, was outstanding. Highly recommended – one of the best restaurants in Munich.

We went to Jakob's tonight for the all-you-can-eat scampi. The food was delicious, but the amazing service was what truly made it special. Our waiter was Marcello. Seriously, that guy is amazing! If you go to Jakob's, definitely ask for Marcello. Of course, the rest of the team was also incredibly polite and professional. I'll definitely be back.

I celebrated my birthday here with nine people. Everything was perfect, from the delicious food and attentive service to the cozy atmosphere. We were all very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Many thanks to the entire team for the wonderful service!

Great find and tasty scampi and pasta in the heart of Munich. The atmosphere is warm and yet artsy/eclectic. This place would be the perfect regular, if the service was more attentive and available. We would come back though, if we are in Mumich again.

For a dinner club with a bar, the food is quite good, high-quality. Personally, I felt it lacked a bit of spice. The ambiance and staff are excellent. If you're looking for a cool night out with good cocktails, this is the place for you.

I just came from this place, which is a nightclub afterwards. I bought my ticket for the nightclub that's later on, but when I got there to enter, they wouldn't let my husband and me in. We had bought everything correctly. When we arrived, the security guards at the door treated everyone badly, as if they were doing us a favor. We're customers, not begging! I felt terrible. There was no organization at the entrance; people didn't know how to get in. If it was crowded or full, they could have spoken to people more politely instead of telling them to leave. We're their customers, why do that? Anyway, we went back home. I spent an hour getting all dressed up, only to arrive there and not be able to get in. But it's okay, I won't go back and I'll tell everyone I meet about the place. They won't give me my money back. I had a table that cost 200 euros and I lost it. Because the security guards wouldn't let my friends and anyone else in. Thank you for ruining my night and my friends' night. 😭

Watch out, they serve you the cheaper version of the drink you have ordered. In 2 separate occasions, me and my friend have ordered Plantation XO which is a premium rum. As we are both big fans of such rum brand, as soon as we tried the first sip (in 2 separate occasions) we noticed the taste was not correct. The first time, we asked them to correct it after a long discussion where they assured us having used the correct rum but ended up admiting they had used a „higher quality rum“ which we found very hard to believe as cheap rum is not produced in a Solera system and the taste is quite different. Nevertheless, finally they changed the rum to an actual Plantation XO which we immediately identified. The second time, after having forgotten the first time, the exact same situation happened where both realized without having tell each other. This time we saw that they seem to get the rum from an actual Plantation XO bottle but the taste was naturally not correct so it was our assumption that they refilled the bottle with another rum. Saddly, this time the rum was so bad we simply didn’t finished it and left, promising not returning (at least for drinks). The food is quite good though, so if you don’t plan to have plain drinks on the rocks, it might be still a good option for you but just be cautious in case this mentality permeates in the kitchen as well.

Four of us were there for several hours and were very satisfied. The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive, and yet always present even though the restaurant was full. The atmosphere was very pleasant. One possible criticism, but that's a matter of taste, was that the later the evening, the louder the music gets. But of course, it's also a bar. The cocktails were good and imaginative. The dishes, inspired by Italian cuisine with a modern twist, were beautifully presented and good. We ordered from across the menu: appetizers, main courses, and desserts. All without complaint. Perhaps a little more sauce for the steaks would have been good. Overall, the price/performance ratio was good. We'll definitely be back.

The food was good, but it took an incredibly long time. In general, the service that day was a bit sloppy. The restaurant has a very cool design and is very centrally located near Stachus. Another plus point is that it's open on Monday evenings. That day, we had fish soup, and the whole restaurant had a VERY strong smell, which was a bit unpleasant. The menu has a good selection, and the portions are generous. Overall, despite a few drawbacks, it's worth a visit.

The restaurant and bar look very modern! The music was good. The evening was quite cool; we had a few cocktails, and at the end we wanted a shot of tequila. Unfortunately, the bartender was very unfriendly. He shook his head at our drink choice, and when we asked for lemon, he just threw the fruit into our glasses, which was totally weird. The rest of the staff was very friendly and cheerful.

I wouldn't recommend the food. I quote, "I've rarely eaten anything bad for the money." The pinsa was mediocre, and the fish soup was mediocre. The service and drinks were good, though.

We went there because of the good Open Table reviews, despite the Google reviews. We were a group of six. The food was delicious. Very friendly service and a lovely restaurant. We'll be back. I don't understand the negative reviews.

First of all, I was disappointed... My menu was completely covered in candle wax. It was nice not to have bothered the waiter too much. The tagliata die Manzo had nothing to do with tagliata. Three small steaks that were very dry. Instead of medium, it was cooked well. Flavorfully, it wasn't a highlight either. The accompanying arugula salad was completely mushy and didn't taste good either. But the crowning glory of the whole thing was the spaghetti ice cream, which was supposed to be prepared at our table. The trolley couldn't be brought to our table because it was too small. The ice cream was much too soft and ran all over our plates. So there's definitely room for improvement. In both the service and the food.

It's very difficult to find a waiter when you need something. The breaded seafood plate was very tasty, but unfortunately, it didn't come with a side salad. Without it, it's too hearty; you can't eat a whole plate. The atmosphere is great.

Today, we were part of a group and tried the Scampi & Schampi offering. The ambiance and presentation were initially promising: a beautiful location, the cocktails looked good, and the food was appetizing. Unfortunately, the reality was disappointing: only a small portion of the scampi (about 20%) was decent, the rest was quite overcooked. There was only a bland sauce and rather dry bread – only the pasta was good. Since we all enjoy flavorful food and are quite adept at cooking, we tried to make the best of it: one of us quickly ran to the nearest shop to get some sauce and lime juice. We can't blame the restaurant for this, but it does show how dissatisfied we truly were. The service was nonexistent: We had to actively request drinks and food every time; there was no questioning. The first impression deserved 4-5 stars, but after that, things unfortunately only went downhill. It's a shame...

Jakob wants to be more than it is. The quality of the food is generally good – the beef was tender and tasty. However, some of the rosemary potatoes were undercooked, and the fries were too hard. The staff is friendly and attentive, but still seems a bit inexperienced. For example, they didn't ask how we'd like our beef; we were served medium, which fortunately was fine. Less convincing: Despite the upscale price range, there are no beer glasses – the beer is served from the bottle, which is more in keeping with a beer garden, but not with this ambiance. When we asked for beer glasses, we were brought wine glasses instead. The dining room is cramped, decorated partly with industrial charm, partly with paintings and a conspicuous number of champagne bottles. The overall impression is "more show than substance." Conclusion: Good meat quality and friendly service, but still immature in the details and not entirely coherent in concept and ambiance.

Such an average restaurant. The menu looks like a child used Microsoft word to write it. Food came out literally within 5 min which means it was precooked. The staff however is very nice and attentive. They do a good job. But overall I wouldn’t recommend this place for food, maybe for drinks and party atmosphere

The Jacob Restaurant in the old stock exchange – formerly the Heart – definitely scores points with its very pleasant atmosphere and stylish ambiance. The service was truly excellent: friendly, professional, and attentive. I would particularly like to highlight the fact that my beef fillet, which was unfortunately served well-done instead of medium, was replaced immediately and without discussion. The new portion came back quickly and prepared as requested – kudos for that! Unfortunately, the food overall didn't live up to the service. For a beef fillet priced at €38, I would have expected significantly better quality. The dessert we were given as an apology was also rather disappointing in terms of taste. Overall: top-notch service, a nice bar, and a pleasant atmosphere – but the culinary experience wasn't worth repeating for me.

The atmosphere is fantastic. Very nice and charming. The food and drinks are of high quality and taste great. Of course, it's a definite plus that you can celebrate in the same room.

In summer, we have been sitting outside. The terrasse is very nice with partial sun until 6-7pm. This restaurant has nice cocktails and a good wines menu. The Notorious BI Gin with mandarine and limette is very refreshing and great for instance. We shared two antipasti: The sardines in oil were very tasty, together with the fried see food and lemon mayonnaise were delicious. The truffle pasta was definitely the highlight. Pasta sauce was perfectly seasoned, very tasty! Overall this Italian restaurant is very correct. One needs to expect relatively higher prices here (roughly 80 euros per person for cocktail+antipasti+pasta+wine glass), but overall the quality is good. I recommend!

Jacob's has the typical reputation of a chic Munich restaurant with an attached bar. Depending on the constellation, occasion, and group you go to, the location can be pleasant or even a very fun evening. What do you get: -Chic ambiance -Club atmosphere, even at dinner -Seamless transition to the bar, resulting in a low drop-off point when changing locations during an evening with friends -Good bar, solid drinks -Friendly but untrained service What you don't get: -Jacobs offers a small, simple menu. No culinary highlights and—in my opinion—below the standard of its "brother," B&L. -Definitely not fine dining -A welcome note that your table (like its competitors) is only available for two hours -Prices: If you expect good value or if that's important to you, then you shouldn't eat here. What you see: -Insta & TikTok-savvy, highly stylish young ladies. -Some gray-haired men, vying to impress the first-mentioned target group. -Professionals looking to connect. -The chic crowd and those who want to become one. -"Girls' or "boys'" nights (who hasn't experienced them ;-) ...So, in my opinion, it has its right to exist and should be visited in the right setting and mood. Definitely not for a fancy diner with the corresponding expectations.

Well, I don't know where to start. €39 deposit for a reservation? I've only ever seen such a procedure at small sushi bars and Michelin-starred restaurants. I was very suspicious. But it fits the concept. It's okay for a drink. The food is also okay. But, dear friends, it's okay for the price, but it's not okay. I gave the place several tries, but unfortunately, it never convinced me. My impression was/is that this is a "trendy restaurant" with high prices, but the quality and service don't match. I don't want to do any harm, but many customers seem a bit like "see and be seen" and "appearances are everything." I think you know what I mean? I have to specifically mention the truffle pasta: I've eaten countless truffle pastas in my life, and I've made them myself, but I've never had one as unsatisfying for the price as this one. You could already smell the "truffles" ;) before the waiter had even put the plate down. So, lots of flavor, not much truffle. Sure, other people make them too – but the dish is correspondingly cheaper elsewhere. "Truffle of the season" is, of course, called tuber aestivum all year round. It looks nice, but that's about it, and not much of it. Actually, it all started with the pasta. Who makes truffle pasta with orecchiette? Well, it's OK for a gin and tonic, but I won't be able to eat it anymore.

Went there with some colleagues while in Munich and had a fantastic experience. The place is beautiful, with cozy decor and lots of natural light. Service was flawless, and the food was excellent especially the hummus, the perfectly cooked meat, and the crispy fries. We were six and paid around €500, so it’s not cheap, but totally worth it for the quality. One of the best meals I’ve had in Munich. Would definitely go back.

Modern, stylish and very good service!

Dieses Lokal ist sehr zentral, nähe Karlsplatz / Stachus mit Eingang an einem Eck unweit einer U-Bahn-Station gelegen. Meine Freundin war vor mir da und konnte zwischen drei Optionen unseren Platz auswählen. Wir saßen dann an einem zweier Tisch gegenüber von der Wandmalerei. Die Jacken können direkt nach dem Eingang kostenlos an der bewachten Garderobe abgegeben werden. Die Karten waren schnell gereicht. Neben der Standardkarte gibt es eine sehr umfangreiche Barkarte mit diversen Mixgetränken. An dem Tag gab es leider nur eine überschaubare Anzahl an offenen Weinen und keinen offenen Prosecco oder Champagner. Wir hatten extra nachgefragt. Mittwochs ist Amore Tag, da gibt es eine Weinflat für 20 Euro statt pro Glas 7,90 Euro (0,1l) zu zahlen. Leider gab es nur drei Sorten, davon zwei Weißweine zur Auswahl. So orderte meine Freundin einen Cocktail namens Domäne Jacob (15,50 Euro), der leider ohne jegliche Dekoration serviert wurde. Als Starter orderten wir den gegrillten grünen Spargel mit Mozzarellazopf sowie Basilikum-Ricotta-Creme (17,50 Euro) und den San Daniele Schinken mit Burrata, frischem Basilikum sowie Cocktail-Feigen (16,50 Euro). Die Portionen waren recht übersichtlich. Bei dem grünen Spargel wurden ganze vier schmale Stangen serviert Der Zopf war recht fest. Der Schinken war etwas zu dick geschnitten, auch hier gab es nur vier Scheiben. Die Burrata war aus meiner Sicht nicht als Beilage geeignet. Da wir Brot vermissten, bestellten wir noch einen Brotkorb. Dieser wurde mit vier warmen Scheiben Focaccia gebracht. Auch hier ist es ein Unsitte geworden, dass dies extra berechnet wird. In dem Fall waren es 4,50 Euro. Schlägt man dies den beiden Speisen zu, kamen sie im Schnitt knapp 20 Euro, was sehr viel für die Portionsgröße ist. Eine knappe Stunde später wurden die Hauptgerichte serviert. Hier hatten wir uns für die Dorade Royal (24 Euro) sowie Trüffelpasta (25 Euro) entschieden. Der Fisch bestand aus zwei Filetstücken und wurde mit Baby Brokkoli, welcher sich unter dem Fisch versteckte sowie Rosmarin-Kartoffeln serviert. Dazu gab es eine Tomatensoße. Meine Freundin war begeistert. Meine Pasta wurde mit Trüffel der Saison, Espuma (Schaum), Pecorino und Parmesan-Crumble serviert. Leider waren es Spirelli, welche die Soße sofort aufsaugten, wodurch das Gericht schnell trocken schmeckt. Insgesamt kein Highlight für einen Trüffelliebhaber. Das Lokal war insgesamt sehr voll, vorwiegend mit Personen unterhalb der 30 Jahre. Die Musik wurde während unseres Aufenthaltes immer lauter, so dass wir uns anschreien mussten, um den anderen zu verstehen. Im Nachhinein hatten wir gelesen, dass die Amore Nacht auch italienische Musik beinhaltete. Schade. Anfangs waren wir begeistert, aber bei einem gemessenem Lärmpegel von 100 Dezibel, obwohl wir am anderen Ende vom DJ saßen, untragbar. Zudem sind die Preise sehr ambitioniert. Die mit Abstand in München teuerste Flasche Wasser habe ich hier für 9,50 Euro getrunken. Der Service war exzellent und immer präsent. Die Getränke und Speisen wurden von unterschiedlichen Personen gebracht.

We had reserved a table for 4 people. Balneario Nº 6 Atmosphere with, in our opinion, inappropriate second-rate entertainment for dinner, as well as strange flat rate offers in the form of alcohol, which we distanced ourselves from. This didn't go down well with the service staff. The prices for the food are unreasonable. We weren't even brought, let alone offered, parmesan with our manageable pasta dish “Spagetti al Ragu”. No matter, there are worryingly strange flat rate offers like in the 90s or in rural regions. We had to wait a good 25 minutes in the “desirably” cool restaurant for the desired bill of around 185 EUR. Not because it was soooo “full” (statement from an unqualified, unprofessional employee) but because they had simply forgotten about us, despite two polite reminders of the Flaterate employees scurrying past... and we just wanted to pay and get out of the store! That’s it… we then went for dessert around the corner….

Cool location. Arrogant staff. I wouldn't come again. Anyone who wants to meet really stuffy people could feel at home. Music ok - DJ has a standard playlist playing - but doesn't get company going.

I was at Jacob's last week with a friend - we were let in straight away, even though we were dressed rather casually. The evening was great: great atmosphere, attentive waiters, delicious food and great cocktails. Yesterday we came again - this time even dressed much more elegantly - and were turned away by the bouncer (bald and tall) on the grounds that Jacob was closing. It was 1:30 am. However, according to the homepage it is open until 3:00 a.m. It then became strange when he invited two blonde women in right after us, without any discussion - on the contrary, he asked them politely if there were two of them and then even led them in by the hand. So it's obviously not a matter of clothing or the time of day, but rather the bouncer's personal discretion - and that seems arbitrary and unprofessional. It's a shame, because the store itself has enormous potential. But such behavior at the entrance can quickly give guests the feeling of being unwanted or being singled out according to questionable criteria. If it stays that way, Jacob will lose good and loyal customers in the long term - not because of the concept or the service, but because of a single person who apparently thinks that he alone decides the character of the evening.

The atmosphere is cozy and stylish. I went to Jacob on a Monday for “Scampi and Schampi” and was not disappointed. The scampi were very tasty and were always refilled as long as we were hungry. The service staff is very friendly and attentive. For dessert we had spaghetti ice cream that was freshly prepared at the table and we were able to put together the ingredients ourselves. I can highly recommend this show by the waiters at the table!

We were a group of 6 and were seated at a very nice table. The ambience was very nice. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the food was pleasant. We shared several starters, almost all of which were not well received by us. Greasy and tasteless. The exception was the pinsa with truffle, which was really good. The service was uninterested, sometimes unfriendly and anything but attentive. I would not recommend this restaurant.

We had dinner at Jacob today and it was again extremely good. Both the service and the quality of the food are impressive! The new menu, using only local ingredients, is truly an experience. We recommend the Arabiata and the short ribs!

We enjoyed the food and drinks, they tasted good. The location of the restaurant is central and very nice, which made the stay pleasant. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not quite right. For us it was more like a regular takeaway meal, not the quality you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Unfortunately, on the evening we were there, the floor was dirty everywhere (stains from drinks), which shouldn't happen in a restaurant of this category. Overall it could have been five stars, but the overall impression was more like dinner followed by partying and dancing.

Wir sind zufällig an diesem Lokal vorbeigekommen. Haben's nicht bereut. Wir gingen rein, die Stimmung ist top. Viele schöne Leute, man merkt das hier ein richtig elegantes Ambiente sich mit einer nonchalanten Coolness und Jugendlichkeit und Energie verbindet. Diese Synthese ist einzigartig. Grosser Dancefloor, an den Seiten viele Tische, an denen die Leute auch ihr Abendbrot zu sich nehmen. Negronis und Aperol Spritz lecker, die Barkeeper beherrschen ihr Handwerk. Das Lokal ist wirklich sehr gross. Man verirrt sich fast. Live-DJ teils zu laut. Aber sonsten top Erfahrung. Wir kommen wieder! V.a. das Ambiente war einladend und warm.

Very attractive architecture on the outside, very classic, warm atmosphere on the inside. The food was delicious, aromatic and the service was so attentive and friendly. We spent a wonderful girls' evening at Jacob and found it extremely convenient that after dinner we could go straight to the bar and enjoy good cocktails and dance. At over 50, we were a bit above the average age, but we still felt completely comfortable. :-)

It's been my 3rd time at Jacob, and I have to say, i will always come back. The food is delicious, especially those mezze Starters to share. The cocktails are very cool, and the steak was just perfect and tender. Super attentive service on top of that. Usually, Jacob turns into a club after dinner, but because it's January and it was quite empty, they closed pretty early. Overall, this is an amazing place for a romantic and fancier dinner.

Jacob in Munich is the perfect spot for a fun and stylish night out! I celebrated my birthday here with five friends, and we had an amazing time from start to finish. We went for their set menu, which came with six delicious starters and four mains—everything was super tasty, great quality, and the portions were just right for sharing. The cocktails were top-notch, and the vibe was spot on, with super friendly and attentive staff making sure we had everything we needed. The DJ kept the energy up with house music, creating the perfect atmosphere for a great night. After dinner, we stayed at the bar for more drinks and ended up dancing the night away. Definitely a place to check out if you’re looking for a fun night with great food, drinks, and music!

Probably one of the most underwhelming food experiences I have had for this price. I found the meat to be dry and overcooked and some of it tasted to me like it had been prepared hours before service and simply warmed up before plating. Most inexpensive greek family restaurants do a better job than this sort of overpriced place aimed at your typical Instagram-clientele. The atmosphere is okay, but like many restaurants in Munich, you feel like you are paying just for showing off to your friends. There is no special flair or atmosphere that you wouldn't get elsewhere. The staff was quite attentive and friendly though.

The bouncer (bald head + beard) didn't want to let us 9 girls in because one of us didn't have ID with us (25-30 years old). Of course, in principle you can't do anything, but a few of us got in without ID. Just a power play, so embarrassing.

Very nice location, tastefully decorated. Great service, very attentive without being intrusive. Unfortunately the food is pretty far from a fine dining experience. The steak meat was not top quality and the jus served with it was a bit of meat juice but certainly not a port wine reduction, with carelessly sliced, cold vegetables as a side dish. For the demands and the prices, the kitchen would have to step up at least one gear. This can be done much better with just a few simple steps!

This was our second meeting and we were able to celebrate at our favorite table at Jacobs and – just like in the summer – it was an absolute highlight. Ambience, service, staff, food... We are all always happy! ❤️

We were there during the week and there weren't many people there. Very cool atmosphere and very tasty food. We ordered: Tar-Tar, J chicken, Fusion Salat, Falafel, Steak, Calamari.

Really always a great atmosphere. Especially after 10 p.m. when the DJ starts playing. Always great music! The food tastes excellent and is only topped by the friendliness of the staff. All in all a great store - would be happy to come again!
