Despite having purchased tickets in advance, guests are left waiting in front of the door for ages. From an organizational perspective it was a flop

One of the worst parties I've ever experienced in Munich... Average age is 21. Girls looking for famous modeling agents and men looking for a riot. Service at the bar takes forever, is extremely unfriendly and drinks are very expensive by Munich standards (a bottle of the cheapest wine costs a whopping 45 euros, a bottle of 0.7 liter still water costs 10 euros). The highlight was when a man ran into me while dancing and then claimed I had hit him. He would supposedly work there and have me kicked out (despite the fact that I apologized several times to avoid trouble) - PS: I'm a 35 year old woman. Dancing is simply not possible. The DJ stands in the middle between the restaurant area and the bar. Every 2 minutes, staff or guests come running through the middle of the dance floor. So if you want to dance, this is the wrong place for you. So once and never again...!

A restaurant of the “Gigi & Co” class. That means a nice ambience, visually appealing, chic, Instagram-optimized. However, the food was very poor, tasted boring, and in no way worth the price. Drinks are okay. The service is average, sometimes seems (understandably) stressed, could be more attentive and polite in some places, definitely likes to flirt with the girls at the table, sometimes unpleasantly. Overall: A restaurant where the focus is on the experience, rather than the food and enjoyment. I therefore recommend it for a more active evening with friends, with drinks, maybe a small snack and then partying (the indoor area becomes a really good party area later in the evening). But not for a real dinner.

Great food..this place is a 5 star restaurant which at about 22:00 turns into a nightclub. Fantastic food (a bit over salted). Staff is friendly but service is at a European pace. we had a great time

Es war ein tolles Ambiente war klasse. Der Service ausgezeichnet. Wir hatten eine klasse Vorspeise die Sharing das war eine Gaumenfreude das Filet war zäh. Daraufhin kam ein neues das war leider auch zäh. Um den Abend nicht zu verderben habe ich nicht gesagt das meins auch nicht gut war. Ich habe mich so auf ein Rinderfilet was bei toller Qualität ja immer gut ist gefreut. Aber das war nix. Leider. Sonst war alles toll ! Der Liebe Service hat uns ein Dessert gebracht als Entschuldigung das war auch super. Wir kommen wieder und essen einfach kein Filet mehr :)

We visited Jacob Munich for dinner on a Saturday evening and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The place offers both a restaurant and bar ambiance, striking a nice balance between casual and refined. Initially, we were seated by the entrance, but upon request, we were quickly moved to a more comfortable spot, which was appreciated. We ordered a starter, main, and dessert, and each dish was super tasty, showcasing the restaurant’s attention to quality and flavor. Another highlight was Jacob’s extensive wine menu, which provided plenty of excellent choices to complement the meal. The staff was outstanding—super polite and attentive. Even as the restaurant filled up later in the evening, they made sure our wine glasses were consistently topped up, showing great professionalism. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and I can only recommend Jacob Munich for its great food, service, and atmosphere. A must-visit if you’re looking for a wonderful evening out!

Courteous service and something special in terms of taste for a long time. Of course a bit more upmarket hence the price.

The food and ambience was very delicious. We went here for a birthday celebration and it was lovely. The drinks were also very good. The only thing was that the service was slow and we had to always ask a different waiter for something. That is the reason for the 4/5.

Wir waren hier an einem unheimlich heißen Abend und haben diesen in dieser Oase draußen trotz des Umgebungslärms sehr genossen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich und auf Zack. Mein extra erst für die Hauptspeise geordertes Glas Wein kam genau pünktlich. Heute leider keine Selbstverständlichkeit mehr. Einziges Manko ist vielleicht, dass man als Aperitif keinen Prosecco oder Cremant im Glas zu einem normal bezahlbaren Preis bekommt. Aber wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder.

Wir haben kürzlich dieses schöne Restaurant besucht und waren insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Das Essen war hervorragend, mit einer breiten Auswahl an köstlichen Gerichten, die alle frisch zubereitet und ansprechend präsentiert wurden. Die Cocktails hingegen waren leider ein wenig enttäuschend. Für den Preis hätten wir etwas mehr Raffinesse und Liebe zum Detail erwartet. Die Kreationen wirkten etwas lieblos und rechtfertigten den hohen Preis nicht ganz. Die Musikuntermalung durch den DJ war jedoch ein echtes Highlight. Die angenehme Auswahl an Musik sorgte für eine entspannte und gleichzeitig lebhafte Atmosphäre, die den Abend sehr bereichert hat. Trotz der kleineren Enttäuschung bei den Cocktails würden wir diesem Restaurant auf jeden Fall eine zweite Chance geben und es noch einmal testen. Die Qualität des Essens und das Ambiente haben uns überzeugt, dass es insgesamt eine sehr gute Wahl ist.

It's a very nice place with a decadent atmosphere. Concept and service similar to BLB (they also belong together) and the waiters like to flirt just as much as they do there. We ordered a Jacob Summer Menu. The price is €25, plus drinks such as Aperol Spritz for €12.5. The menu was pretty tasty, especially the starters. Not a clear recommendation, as the quality of the dishes and drinks weren't really convincing, but you can do it, just because of the location and the ambience.

I've been to Jacob twice now, for a company dinner and once privately with friends. The service was always very courteous and the cocktails also tasted very good. Lovely again!

Great, you can sit outside until 3 a.m. and listen to the DJ's music in the middle of the city. Service is top notch and you get full attention.

People had expectations of this store and unfortunately they were not met. The food is quite good, but grossly overpriced. It's incredibly loud in the restaurant because young people in party mode like to duel with groups of people in their mid-fifties who are trying to keep up and who celebrates more. Definitely recommended if you just come for drinks, but (especially for the money) not suitable for a quiet evening.

We were there yesterday with our company. It was a great atmosphere, the food was excellent and the wine and champagne selection was very good. Very attentive service and very fast and the culinary cuisine was first class. We will come back in any case. Thank you

Once and never again! Unfortunately a very messed up shop. Unfortunately, the staff was very unprofessional and urged people to buy cocktails, but they were friendly. “Octopus with sweet potato puree” Where do I even begin? Octopus tasted like grilled leftovers from the night before, puree was served with a kind of Tabasco sauce which, after all, didn't taste like sweet potato! Burnt octopus for around €30 and drinks in the double-digit range are unfortunately inappropriate :( The ambience itself was nice and had extreme potential, even though the music was playing way too loud outside. Conclusion: You have to take the whole experience with humor otherwise you will ruin the evening

For a restaurant of this manner I most definitely expected more than what we received… we were a big group probably of 13 to 15 people which I understand is a bit over overwhelming to the staff but the orders got mixed up and I ended up getting the wrong order 2 times. The food was great when the meal was then given to me but i unfortunately ate late. I will give this another try and go back there again when it’s just a table for 2.

The food was delicious, I chose the "Jabos's sharing Menü" with some friends, and we all found it exquisite. I celebrated my birthday here and found it a very nice atmosphere.

My wife went to the restaurant twice, once with me and once with a friend. After our first visit she didn't actually want to go again, but her friend really wanted to. Already here: We will definitely not visit the restaurant again. On both visits the restaurant was apparently fully reserved, but there were several tables available. ...and although almost all tables were free at 10 p.m. and there were still drinks on the table, the women were turned away from the table on their second visit The starter was still ok, just way overpriced. The main course was thrown onto the plate in an unfunny manner and had the familiar taste of Maggi packet soups. In addition, the price for both visits was over €200 for two people, which is absurd for what was on offer and must be considered far overpriced.

We found a plastic splinter in the food and no one apologised. Very poor service and quite racist. Also the person at the entrance was very rude. Vert average place.

The food is quite good, but not really very good and unfortunately doesn't justify the price. The restaurant becomes a dance bar towards the later hours, but unfortunately it is very loud in the early evening which makes conversations tiring. Dancing and partying is a lot of fun here👍🏻

Das sich selbst als Inn-Restaurant betrachtende Restaurant wird maßlos überschätzt. Wir waren jetzt zweimal dort - einmal haben wir reserviert einmal eine Freundin. Angeblich war das Restaurant ausgebucht, aber interessanter Weise waren diverse Tische frei - ist wahrscheinlich ein Masche um "begehrt" zu wirken. Die Freundin kommentierte das Essen mit: Maggigeschmack aus der Tüte, für den Preis eine Unverschämtheit. Bei beiden Besuchen jeweils eine Rechnung für zwei Personen über 200€ - und das für Essen aus der Maggitüte. Für McDonald-sozialisierte Besucher welche keinen Geschmack aber dafür die Kreditkarte von Mami oder Papi haben sicher perfekt - nicht jedoch für uns.

Die trüffelpasta hat nicht geschmeckt und auch kaum nach Trüffel mehr nach Käse oder Gorgonzola. Und dafür sehr teuer! Leistung echt schwach für den Preis. Das Restaurant hat einfach nur sein Namen..

The food was average, but not special. The service from the waiter and manager was disastrous and more consistent with a diner than a fine dining restaurant, especially considering the prices. The drinks were okay. Since we had a farewell dinner for a guest, we didn't even want to argue with the waiter. Overall a disappointing experience.

Higher prices will be charged in the invoice. Drinks take approx. 20 minutes. Staff is relatively unpleasant, pushy and as described above... slow. Therefore never again. Oh the Mai Tai is way too bitter and overpriced because of the amount of ice...

Had a team dinner here and we were very pleased with the decor (the bathrooms are very cool!), ambiance, service, and food. Every dish was delicious, can only recommend! We ordered several dishes and shared everything, ended up spending around €50/person.

Top Essen und schönes Restaurant mit guter Stimmung.

Das Essen war sehr stark gewürzt (orientalisch) und für unser Geschmack versalzen. Die Portionen sind groß.

First the positive: The food itself is delicious, the service is very good and the restaurant itself is really nice. Now the “but”: the restaurant would like to be a high-quality and more expensive restaurant, but it is rather expensive without appearing to be of high quality down to the last detail. - Cocktails in the teapot were a nice idea, they were also tasty but more decoration in the glasses would be desirable - the portions are much, much too expensive for the larger ones and in turn they are not high quality or fancy enough to justify a high price for small portions - the ribeye steak is served with herb butter. One wonders why. With high-quality meat, this only masks the taste of the meat; salt and pepper would be enough (but neither was available at the table). In the end it was a thin steak for a lot of money. - Table not fully set - no paper napkins please given that price - Red and white wine are served in the same glasses - it doesn't have to be that way - Salt, butter, olive oil and bread could easily be on the table at that price - a steak knife would be useful for the steak The food itself is delicious, but the price-performance ratio is not right. Neither high enough quality nor creative enough to justify a price of €15 for 3 small falafel balls with hummus and vice versa: portions not big enough for the price if everything else doesn't apply.

I recently visited Jacobs with a group of 10 friends. While the service was adequate and the staff was friendly, I must express some disappointments regarding my overall experience. One of the main criticisms revolves around the constant pressure to order excessive quantities of drinks. Despite already placing substantial orders for alcoholic beverages and food, I found it uncomfortable that every time I requested an extra drink, I was suggested to order for the entire table. If I want an additional drink, it's because I want only one, without having to say "no, just one this time, not ten." This made the experience less enjoyable and added an unnecessary sense of pressure. Furthermore, I must address the quality of the food. While the appetizers were acceptable, the pasta with burrata left much to be desired. The burrata bore no resemblance to authentic burrata, resulting in a disappointing dish. Additionally, the octopus was overly chewy, further compromising the meal's enjoyment. Overall, if you're seeking a restaurant for a quality culinary experience, I believe there are certainly better options than Jacobs.

Das Essen war äußerst lecker. Die Preise waren erwartungsgemäß hoch, für die Hauptspeisen hat man allerdings auch eine angemessene Portion erhalten. Nur die Vorspeisen waren unserer Meinung nach basierend auf ihrer Größe definitiv zu teuer angesetzt.

Thank God we weren't there for more than 10 minutes. We wanted to have fun with our group and had reserved a table for 10 people. As soon as we sat down we were told we could only stay for two hours. The restaurant deserves a star for that alone, but apparently there are enough people who accept something like that. As we left the restaurant, I couldn't help but let out a mocking "Thanks for nothing," whereupon the rude amateur at the door loudly insulted me. He even ran after me when I went to get my jacket. It's really amazing that someone like him is allowed to keep his job as a waiter... Instead we went across the street to "The Grill", spent 4-5 hours there, had a delicious meal and enjoyed great service.

The three of us are there today because we have the delight guide and wanted to get to know Jacob about it. Unfortunately we didn't get in because our clothes were too "sporty" for the bouncer. Really now? Sad.

My girlfriend was not aggressive at all and her behavior towards us was unprofessional. Although there is no extra charge for leaving a coat when you reserve a table, I wanted to pay by card, but they pestered me for three hours saying you couldn't pay by card, only cash, so in the end they brought a card payment machine . Actually it is not a problem to pay for the cloakroom, but the behavior of the manager, the boss and the entire staff towards the customers was not appropriate towards regular guests. Hanging around for three hours to finally make up the lie that I only came at 1:30 and was there at 10. Terrible!

We went to dinner and celebrated at Jacobs and really had a great evening. Our waiter Marcello in particular made the evening perfect for us! He was knowledgeable about allergies and gave us good advice and made sure everything was taken into account accordingly. Whenever you needed something he was right there - I've never experienced such good service in my life as I did that evening from Marcello!

The restaurant was recommended to me by a good friend. Unfortunately we were disappointed. We were there right at 6 p.m. Sat at a cat table. Unfortunately the floor was dirty. Our waiter was very good, but it was a bit annoying that all the employees stood at the hostess table and chatted until more guests arrived. The food was good but not amazing. Shrimp in the starter and main course were dry. “Flavor profiles” are very similar and the same spices were used for all dishes. Cocktails very good! I can imagine that the ambience is very good when the restaurant is at least half full. A birthday specified in the reservation was not taken into account. Price/performance is therefore not sufficient.

We were here for the first time with friends. The atmosphere is quite stylish and relaxed at the same time. We recently went to another restaurant (Hawaiian) where we liked the ambience even more. The service was very attentive. Jackets were taken away directly at the entrance. The wine was poured carefully but not excessively. The food was good, sometimes very good. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio was a bit too expensive. There is better food at cheaper prices in Munich - but that only makes a small difference. The highlight were the toilets... See pictures. You have peace and quiet in the old safe of the stock exchange😉 Conclusion: it is a tip for a special occasion. Not necessarily for a regular visit.

We were there last week during the after work event and celebrated a friend's birthday. It was a great evening! We were particularly impressed by our waitress, who really made our evening despite the full restaurant. Everyone enjoyed both the drinks she recommended and the menu she suggested. The birthday child was also able to enjoy fireworks during dessert, even though we hadn't explicitly mentioned the birthday to our waitress. Incredibly attentive and charming. We would love to come back!

I had fish fillet, like three times before. Still good and tender. However, the portions depend heavily on the boss or cook’s form on the day. Today it was absolutely inadequate for the price. DJ was good, I liked the music. Now comes the kicker. We had reserved the table and the cloakroom was free. A friend didn't arrive until after 9:30 p.m. and then suddenly had to pay the full cloakroom fee. I didn't accept that and asked the boss. But the boss also insisted on 3 euros and argued with us for 10 minutes. So we are regulars and the boss just wanted to be right. I found that really unprofessional and below the standard of what one would expect from a successor to the great Heart. Me and my gang of girls were really disappointed.

This restaurant was a complete disappointment. The value for money is ridiculous as the portions are way too small and out of proportion to the prices. We were also treated extremely rudely by the waiter. Instead of “warning” us appropriately early, he came to our table 10 minutes before our reserved time was up and pressured us to leave even though we still had drinks. Five minutes later he came back, gesticulating wildly and telling us rudely that we had to leave the table now. I have never experienced such disrespectful behavior. It's disappointing that a supposedly classy restaurant offers such inadequate service. One would expect that there would be a certain level of politeness and professionalism in an established establishment. Unfortunately, this was not the case here. Better look for another restaurant.

We were there September 23 and now tried it again: really not good!!!! The store itself is beautifully decorated, the manager (I think) is also super nice, but otherwise it's a complete disaster. There were 6 of us with a bill of €850 and the service was SO bad. Never asked if everything was okay. Never checked if we needed water or wanted to order anything. We had 4 main courses in the menu and we only got 2. Only after we asked did we say “one of you has an allergy, there is nothing more”?? After 15 minutes the other dishes arrived. What an incredibly bad experience. The food is normal. Not good, not bad. You pay for the vibe, which is fine, but you don't have to make the food worse and accept such poor service. We're definitely not coming any more.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed with our visit. The dishes are far too expensive for the quality offered. None of the 3 courses were well prepared, the main course (fish of the day) was completely overcooked and dry, and the fish skin was burnt. The burrata for starters and the baklava for dessert were also not convincing at all. The service was friendly, but not very trying. With such a bill, you can expect a nicer dining experience.

Our stay at Jacob was perfect! The food, the wine selection, the ambience and the service left nothing to be desired. After dinner it seamlessly transitioned into a great party with a very good DJ. Particularly worth mentioning: Tim Haake, one of the owners, immediately sent me an expensive scarf that I had forgotten on site by post free of charge. Very service oriented! We would be happy to come here again should we be in Munich again and wish “Jacob” continued success…

Great place, ambience, music, everything great, however the service is not up to the level of the place nor the price, it takes forever to get drinks and sometimes drinks never come even after 20 minutes waiting…

Die Dame am Reservierungscounter war sehr überheblich und hat sich sehr ungastlich verhalten!! So was möchte man in diesem Ambiente und Preisgefüge nicht erleben!

Extremely cool restaurant that turns into a bar during the evening. I can particularly recommend the truffle pasta and the White Sensation drink. The truffle pasta is a smaller rather than larger portion, but tastes great! The White Sensation is a combination of gin, lychee syrup and rosemary, which delivers extremely well! Best disco restaurant in Munich! Top food and cocktails. House music is mainly played. Only shop where you can't meet young people. Over 30. But the bartenders aren't the nicest or most down-to-earth...

As a customer of Jacob in Munich, I can say with full confidence that this restaurant offers an exceptional experience. The ambience is elegant and inviting, the staff is professional and attentive, and the food is simply outstanding. However, Tim Haake, the restaurant's boss and red wine connoisseur, deserves special mention. His passion for wine is obvious and his knowledge of red wines is impressive. He has the ability to recommend the perfect wine pairing for each dish and his recommendations have exceeded my expectations every time. Tim Haake is not only a master of his craft, but also a charismatic host who makes every visit to Jacob an unforgettable experience. His personality and commitment to excellent service are instrumental in making Jacob one of my favorite restaurants in Munich. I can highly recommend Jacob, especially for any red wine lover who would like the opportunity to receive advice from an expert like Tim Haake.

Top Location und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen, das auch sehr gut schmeckt! Leider war die Bedienung sehr schwach, teilweise kam sie über 30 Minuten nicht an den Tisch, auch auf das Bezahlen warteten wir sehr, sehr lange… Schade! Das trübt das tolle Erlebnis im Jakobs und sollte bei einer solchen Location auf keinen Fall passieren!

Very tasty food in a great atmosphere. I really like the lounge tables for dinner as it is much more comfortable.

If you're a truffle fanatic like me, this restaurant has one of the best. Their truffle pasta is a flavor explosion as well as their chocolate cake; it's DEFINITELY the best chocolate cake. Plus, their cocktails were top-notch. But here's the kicker: the portion size of pasta left me wanting more. In addition, I was there for Valentine's Day, and they only had a set menu for meat lovers and not for Vegetatian.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend im Jacob. Besonders das Ambiente und der hervorragende Service haben mir gefallen. Das Essen ist nicht ganz günstig aber wirklich gut und für einen besonderen Abend lohnt es sich.
