Pleasant restaurant. Unfortunately, the excellent lunch menu is no longer available. That used to be the highlight of the restaurant. Standard dishes (pizza, pasta) are okay but nothing special. I personally don't need the starter set with olive oil and herb butter.

We love going to Il Caretto. Since the change of management, the menu has expanded, and the quality and enjoyment remain at a high level. The food is delicious. Sitting on the terrace, enjoying the wine, is a pleasant experience. The prices are on the higher end, but that's okay. There was one small downside: the aperitif was very small for the price. If they'd removed the ice, it wouldn't have even been 0.1. And the wine by the glass used to be worlds better.

We were back at Il Carretto today, after a long time, under new management. Still delicious. The guazzetto was truly wonderful, with plenty of fish and great seasoning. My wife's roast beef was simply divine. The garden setting is truly harmonious. We must come back. Thank you

Very tasty food, good quality (not run-of-the-mill), friendly service, including a holiday feeling (we sat outside, accompanied by traditional music) and at the end there was even an espresso on the house.

A very customer-oriented restaurant with very attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere. The waiters were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Eight of us arrived spontaneously and were welcomed without any problems. From the antipasti to the main course and the dolce, every dish was truly delicious! They tasted top-notch and were beautifully presented. A particularly positive aspect: they also offer gluten-free pasta! Changing side dishes was no problem. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

A piece of Italy in Vaterstetten! We were absolutely thrilled with Ristorante IL CARRETTO! The atmosphere is authentically Italian – cozy, welcoming, and with great attention to detail. The service was friendly, attentive, and very professional. The wood-fired pizza was a dream – crispy crust, perfect tomato sauce, and fresh ingredients. The homemade pasta was also excellent, with the taste of a real trattoria in Italy. We especially recommend the seafood dishes – fresh, aromatic, and beautifully presented. The wine list is well-stocked and offers matching Italian wines to complement every dish. You immediately notice that quality is paramount here – both in the kitchen and in the service. An absolute must for all lovers of Italian cuisine in the Munich area. We'll definitely be back!

I was at Il Carretto for the first time yesterday. The food was very good, the atmosphere invites you to linger here, but I have to highlight the matcha souffle! Truly groundbreaking!! And in combination with the extremely charming cellars, simply a dream!

I rate this restaurant visit as very good. The food was extremely tasty and very nicely presented. The two waiters were absolutely attentive and friendly. We felt comfortable and we all had a lovely evening.

We celebrated our birthday with 30 people. The next room is ideal for this. The food was great, every plate was beautifully decorated. The service was very attentive. The two of us had dinner at Il Carretto. Everything in the restaurant was wonderful and couldn't have been better. The food was exceptionally good and the service was extremely courteous and attentive. However, I would like one little thing: the path from the parking lot to the entrance to the restaurant is not lit and without the flashlight function on my phone we would have had to slowly make our way to the entrance in the dark. So please, light this path. But other than that, it was a wonderful evening.

Great food, amazing atmosphere. The whole thing is complemented by music that does not disturb and even takes you into the atmosphere of Italian meetings. Personally, I recommend desserts and wine, which will perfectly complement the taste of the dishes. It's definitely worth ordering an appetizer 💓

Very nice restaurant, one of the few where you can tell the quality of the food from the service staff, all orders are remembered correctly without writing them down and given directly to the right people. Gestern Abend waren wir im Il Carretto essen und es das Essen war einfach traumhaft, gemischte Vorspeise, Duett Scampi und Tintenfisch gegrillt, Rinderfilet vom Charloisrind dazu einen Prmitivo. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und nett. und zu vorkommend. Ein unbedingtes Muss das Restaurant unter neuer Leitung zu besuchen.

Great place, I've lived in Fatherstetten all my life, but unfortunately I let this lovely restaurant fall under the radar, but when I visited I was simply amazed by the great atmosphere, the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. I would come here again at any time, so let's go my friends 👌🏻

Wir hatten das 1. Mal, für eine Geburtstagsfeier am 30.07.2024 für 6 Personen, einen Tisch auf der Terrasse reserviert. Es sind reichlich Parkplätze im Innenhof vorhanden, die einen direkten Zugang zum Restaurant bietet. Zu unserem Erstaunen waren die Tische vorbildlich Gedeckt und sehr schön zubereitet. Die Ambiente war durchströmt von einem entspannten Flair und einem Hauch von etwas Urlaubsfeeling. Die Kellner waren alle sehr Freundlich, Zügig und besonders Zuvorkommend. Bei jedem Gang wurde unser Aschenbecher sofort gewechselt, was wir von anderen Restaurants nicht mehr kennen. Ein besonderes Lob geht auch an die Küche, für all’ die Frisch zubereiteten Gerichte, die qualitativ Hochwertig sind und uns allen sehr Gemundet hat. Deswegen sind die Preise, besonders für die münchner Verhältnisse, vollkommen Gerechtfertigt, wenn sie nicht sogar etwas darunter liegen. Da alles zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit war, können wir dieses Restaurant auch wärmstens weiter empfehlen. Seit dem ersten Besuch gehört es zu unseren absoluten Favoriten und steht aktuell an erster Stelle. Vielen Dank an das Team & bis bald ;) Lisa

Great Italian here in Vaterstetten. Very good food, great fish dishes - sometimes something special on the menu - nice wines and good wine recommendations, very friendly top service. For me one of the best, if not the best Italian in the region. We'll be back 😊!

The best thing: the very attentive and friendly service! The food is very good. My risotto with wild garlic pesto and asparagus was very tasty. The portions are generous. The transition from the starter to the main course was a little too quick for us, but we'll just note that on our next visit and ask for a short break. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about. Gladly again :)

About 2 weeks ago I had dinner here with a friend - a wonderful evening with delicious food and an incredibly good tiramisu. The always attentive and warm service from the staff was particularly pleasant. You felt completely welcome. I have already recommended the restaurant to friends and will definitely come back on my next visit to Munich - then you might even be able to sit outside.
