Best pizza in Bayreuth. And the daily menu has never disappointed me.

Nightmare.. Service was extremely unfriendly from the start and in the end when asked for a recommendation for a pizza the answer was: 'Well darling, I'm alone here, I can't talk to everyone'. That's not how you deal with people - especially not with customers.

Excellent mat: Förätter, varmrätter och efterrätter från dagens meny och alla var mycket bra. Även sonens pizza var mycket bra.

Super cozy, rustic atmosphere combined with a modern touch! The restaurant was laid out on three levels with the inclusion of the cellar vault...fantastic! And to my surprise: it was cozy and warm! The food was wonderfully delicious...the service was courteous and friendly...the tables were lovingly...decorated with their own lights. I was completely thrilled!

Pizza with sourdough, that was something completely new for me, tastes really delicious. Everything prepared with a lot of love. You definitely have to go here. Don't forget to reserve. The ambience and service are also first class. Great!!!

Very charming, small Italian restaurant with excellent dishes. As a starter we chose the Italian salad, which impressed with fresh lettuce, crunchy vegetables and a perfectly balanced dressing. The main courses were also a delight. The pizza was crispy and richly topped, while the Spaghetti Frutti di Mare scored with a delicious selection of seafood and an aromatic sauce. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

Wir waren wie immer begeistert. Die Tageskarte bietet jedesmal neue abwechslungsreiche Gerichte die man kaum bei anderen Italienern (in Bayreuth) findet. Aber auch die normale Karte ist super. Wir lieben den lauwarmen Oktopussalat!! Der Service war wie immer zuvorkommend und das Preis-/Leustungsverhältnis ist absolut angemessen. Wir kommen bald wieder Barbara und Berndt

Waren das erste mal.im La Cantinella, es hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Raumakustik war durch das Kellergewölbe super angenehm, man hat nur seinen Tisch gehört und von den Tisch-Nachbarn gefühlt nichts. Wir waren auf jeden Fall nicht zum letzten Mal zu Besuch.

Wäre das erste Mal hier zum Essen und kommen gerne wieder .. sind rund um zufrieden gewesen ..

It's a shame because the food is really good - as is the changing selection of weekly specials or the rustic atmosphere. But the dishes are getting smaller and smaller and the prices are steep. Pasta is usually so big that it's enough for five bites, carpaccio is constantly shrinking, just like everything else - apart from pizza. Since we go out to eat when we're already hungry, we hardly come here anymore, even though it was my favorite restaurant.

We had a great evening at La Cantinella. The ambience down in the rustic stone vault was really nice! Delicious selection of daily specials too. We can highly recommend pizza and pasta dishes. The starter (carpaccio and bruscetta was really delicious!)

The lady in service seemed a bit stubborn, but we didn't let that get to us. We had slight doubts about the meat as to whether it was really fillet of beef. In our opinion it was too big for fillet. Despite the doubts, our food was very tasty and that is the most important thing.

Sie kochen einfach hervorragend. Die Menükarte ist nicht überladen, aber es gibt immer auch eine schöne Auswahl an Tagesgerichten. Insbesondere die Pasta-Gerichte und das Saltimbocca sind sehr zu empfehlen. Es ist meistens gut besucht und eine Tischreservierung, v.a. kurz vor oder am Wochenende, ist wichtig. Der Service ist gut, zuvorkommend und schnell.

Insgesamt war es wieder ein sehr schöner Abend! Das Essen war sehr gut und die Leute sehr zuvorkommend. Hier gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Für unseren Anlass (Essen unter Freunden) perfekt geeignet, allerdings kann man auch gerne für ein Date oder ein geschäftliches Treffen kommen - die Atmosphäre passt zu jedem Anlass! Die Servicekräfte waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und haben zudem immer wieder nach dem Rechten geschaut, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Vorspeisen - Pizzabrot, Bruschetta und Salat Caprese - waren geschmacklich sehr gut und schön angerichtet, allerdings sollte man viel Appetit mitbringen, wenn man eine Vorspeise bestellt. Auch die Hauptgerichte - Pizza Margherita und Diavola und Nudeln - waren von stattlicher Größe, was dem Geschmack in nichts nachstand. Mit mildem Knoblauchöl verfeinert waren die Pizzen ein einziger Genuss. Dafür zahlt man gerne den ein oder anderen Euro mehr.

Pizza is really delicious there! Unfortunately the beef steak was one of the worst we have ever eaten. It tasted like soup seasoning (?!) and was anything but medium-rare (as ordered). Unfortunately, we didn't feel treated very friendly by the service. The inner courtyard has a nice atmosphere, but the window sills could be cleaned when you're sitting right next to them and there are still bird poop there and everything is very dirty... If you want to eat a good pizza you can definitely come here. However, we won't be coming back because the overall price-performance ratio is simply not right.

Not bad. Friendly waiter, the food came quickly and was really good. I had the tagliatelle with chicken and tomato sauce. Clear recommendation from me! What surprised me: no one asked if it tasted good. This is probably assumed. 😆

Very nice cozy atmosphere. Friendly and courteous service without being intrusive. We ordered Calzone and Pizza Gamberetto, both tasted excellent and were ready super quickly. The price isn't exactly cheap, but you really get something for it! We'd love to come back 👍🏻

We sat in a small, uncomfortable room with a view of the door of a storage room! Unfortunately the food was little and overpriced! We waited 1 hour for food. This time unfortunately very disappointing overall!

We were here for the first time yesterday. I have to say I can't find any errors. Very good food, an exceptional ambience and very friendly staff. We would love to come back and look forward to more.

Incomprehensible. The plan was to go out to eat here for my birthday. Reserved a table outside online in advance as it was still very warm and sunny in the evening. We arrived and were bluntly told that this reservation was not valid and that you couldn't reserve outside... Funny. But we were able to choose “for outside”. They then wanted to send us to the basement. Nice to sit in the cellar when it's over 20 degrees and sunny in summer. No decorum, no fun pleasantries. Happy birthday 😃

A nice restaurant with good food but high prices. Unfortunately we didn't like the drinks (aperitifs) at all.

Despite Saturday evening, we managed to clear a table for 5 people 2 hours beforehand. We liked the menu, as did the cozy vaulted cellar. Courteous service. All around lovely evening.

Very nice atmosphere. The antipasti plate was said to have been excellent and certainly looked very appetizing. Unfortunately, my spaghetti aglio olio wasn't the least bit spicy and the portion could have been a little larger.

We were looking forward to a lovely evening and were warmly welcomed by the waiter. But that was the end of the positive review. Unfortunately, we have rarely had such a bad meal as we did in this restaurant. We both ordered pasta. Once frutti di mare and once with asparagus and veal fricasse. The former consisted of unseasoned passata, which was unfortunately completely tasteless. It was as if a handful of seafood had just been poured with pure canned tomato sauce. The second consisted of a stick of unpeeled asparagus cut into pieces and also unseasoned cream sauce. When we returned the food, the waiter responded very friendly and offered us dessert to compensate. We chose chocolate souffle, which unfortunately was a finished product and had the consistency and appearance of filler. So we let this go back too. However, we would like to emphasize here that the waiter who served us was very polite and friendly at all times and also admitted that he had heard the criticism of the pasta several times and that the dessert really didn't look edible. Unfortunately the wine was also of the cheapest quality. After all, they only made us pay for the wine and the appetizer, which was delicious. However, we cannot recommend this restaurant. Thanks again to the friendly waiter, who made us feel like he was constantly having to deal with such complaints.

Tolles Ambiente, das Essen war sehr lecker, die Tagesempfehlungen mit saisonalem Gemüse und einfach etwas besonderes, aber auch die Pizza war sehr gut! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Ehrlich gesagt, war die Erfahrung heute sehr enttäuschend👎🏻Die Bolognesesoße schmeckte eher wie verdünntes Tomatenwasser. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob die Meeresfrüchte noch frisch waren, aber sie hatten einen bitteren Geschmack🤯Als ich vor zwei Jahren hier war, hat das Essen mir und meinem Freund sehr gut geschmeckt, aber heute war eine große Enttäuschung😢 Zudem war das Restaurant zwar farbenfroh gestaltet, aber sehr eng und abgeschlossen, sodass wir jedes Wort der lauten Gespräche am Nachbartisch klar und deutlich hören konnten. Außerdem gab es eine Gruppe von Leuten neben uns, die plötzlich in schrilles Gelächter ausbrach, was in dem beengten Raum besonders störend war🫠

Wir haben außerordentlich gut gegessen. Die Bedienungen waren durchweg sehr freundlich. Wir hatten einen schönen und unterhaltsamen Abend zu dritt bei gutem Essen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Die einzige Anmerkung die wir hätten, ist der Espresso. Dieser entspricht nicht unseren italienischen Geschmacksknospen. Hier könnte im Optimalfall nochmal nachjustiert werden. (Aber wirklich nur als minimaler Kritikpunkt).

Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Sehr leckere Pizza. Der Teig war erstklassig. Vor- und Nachspeise toll angerichtet. Super Tageskarte. Und ein unschlagbarer Service. Sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Our son, 6 years old, was most likely pointed out by the boss that this is a restaurant where guests want to enjoy their food.....just because he was walking too fast🤦‍♂️.....we were also in this restaurant to enjoy our food...unfortunately this wasn't possible because it just didn't taste good! When we told the same person about this, she reacted very rudely and rudely...an absolute impudence! Great location...the rest was pretty bad...it's a shame if you for example... I paid just under €16 for a pizza and was then harassed several times!

The service was good and the ambience was nice, the food was also very tasty, but what I see as an absolute disgrace is the fact that vegan dishes are advertised online and there is not a single food labeled as vegan on site. So I ordered a pizza without cheese and it tasted really excellent, at least until I was halfway through and noticed that there were very small pieces of cheese hidden under the rocket. What kind of cheek is it to foist cheese on people who order something vegan and explicitly mention that the food is vegan? It's a shame because apart from that the experience was wonderful, but because of that I definitely won't be coming again.

Be careful☝🏼 We recently had the pleasure of visiting La Cantinella for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't particularly pleasant. A hair was found in two out of four dishes ordered. Of course, that completely spoiled our appetite. After we pointed this out to the male waitress, we were promised that this would be sorted out and offered us dessert as compensation. As soon as the food, which was inedible due to the hair, was cleared away, the waitress in question no longer paid any attention to our table. After quite some time and no dessert, we finally asked for the bill. This came relatively quickly and when we asked, the waiter in question told us that the hair had been looked at in the kitchen and could not have come from one of the staff working there. For this reason, we would have to pay the full amount and would not get the promised dessert because the hair could only come from us. Of course we paid the bill! With this recession, we would like to point out once again that an apology from the kitchen or anyone at all would have been appropriate and would have made us more lenient. Service and customer satisfaction are not very important. About the ambience: Location is very nice. However, there was no toilet paper anywhere in the toilets, but there were some spider webs and the associated animals (there were 7 in one cubicle). Definitely not a recommendation!

Völlig überteuert. Gerichte kosten teilweise bis zu 10 Euro mehr! Unsere Nudelgerichte waren ziemlich geschmacklos. Den Speck musste man suchen. Die Rinderfiletstreifen waren eher kleine Fetzen vermutlich eher von Minutensteaks. Und dafür knapp 18 Euro zu nehmen ist nicht in Ordnung. Der Service war allerdings hervorragend. Wir sind früher gern dort essen gegangen, leider hat die Qualität der Speisen stark abgenommen.

Vorspeise bis zur Nachspeise alles sehr lecker. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, sehr freundliches Personal. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen.

Leckeres Essen (wir hatten mehrere verschiedene Gerichte), frischer, bunter Salat, sehr freundliche Leute. Durch das Gewölbe auch ein ganz besonderes Ambiente. Preise "normal" (die sind ja derzeit nirgends mehr feierlich ...). Also: Ja, wir können La Cantinella warm empfehlen!

Dogs are not welcome - customers are greeted by a large poster saying dogs should wait outside - very unpleasant atmosphere.

Wir waren schon oft im La Cantinella und immer zufrieden, aber dieses Mal nicht und es war hiermit auch unser letzter Besuch. Uns wurde nur ein Zeitfenster von 90 Minuten gewährt, wir haben aber 25 Min. auf die Getränke gewartet, so dass keine Zeit für einen Nachtisch blieb. Die Preise stimmten mit den Preisen im Internet nicht mehr überein. Das Essen hat uns geschmacklich auch nicht überzeugt, Dosenananas gehört unserer Meinung nach nicht in Salat und bei der Pasta war kaum Soße vorhanden. Aber am meisten gestört hat uns die Arroganz und Unfreundlichkeit des Personals.

Es war alles zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit, daher waren wir auch bereits das zweite Mal innerhalb kurzer Zeit da.

Seit Jahren das beste italienische Restaurant der Stadt.

Es war ein gelungener Restaurantbesuch. Bei gutem, und nicht ganz gewöhnlichen Essen ist es absolut in Ordnung etwas mehr zu bezahlen. Die Preise sind nicht bodenlos überzogen, sondern angemessen. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Hatten eine Anti-Pasti-Platte für 2 Personen bestellt. Für den Preis hätten wir erwartet, dass zumindest ein Teil selbst hergestellt wird. z. B. Zuccini gefüllt, Champignons gefüllt ... Stattdessen waren Anti-Pasti drauf, die man sich jederzeit selbst im Einkaufsmarkt besorgen kann. Die Platte war jedoch gut angerichtet. Pizza war top; Nudeln sind zu teuer - Peis-Leistung !!! Für eine Flasche Wein über 30,00 € - ist auch zu teuer angesetzt; Leider !!!

Super schönes Ambiente, auch keine zu laute Geräuschkulisse. Sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienungen. Das Essen war sehr schnell da und auch sehr lecker. Nur zu empfehlen :-)

Der Service, das Essen und die Atmosphäre waren sehr gut! Man kann hier einen sehr schönen & entspannten Abend verbringen. Ich fand es leider etwas schade, dass wir nur wenige Minuten nachdem wir Dessert und Cocktails bestellt hatten, darauf hingewiesen wurden, dass der Tisch nur noch 15 Minuten für uns zur Verfügung steht. Das wurde zwar auf eine sehr freundliche Art & Weise gemacht, aber das ließ uns leider nicht wirklich genug Zeit das zuletzt bestellte noch zu genießen. Alles in allem war das aber nur ein kleiner Minuspunkt. Der Rest war wirklich wunderbar!

Wirklich sehr gutes Essen. Weil wir im Nebenzimmer waren war der Service leider nicht parat und wir mussten immer selbst nach Vorne um zu bestellen. Die Bedienung war aber sehr freundlich. Super Ambiente.

Kommen schon lange und bisher immer sehr zufrieden. Gestern waren wir sehr von der Pasta enttäuscht. Diese war mehr als al dente. Auf die Nachfrage, ob alles in Ordnung wäre, teilten wir dies dem Mitarbeiter mit. Dieser wollte es an die Küche weitergeben, jedoch kam von dort bzw. der Inhaberin keine Reaktion. Schade!!!

Die Portion Nudeln war recht klein. Zusammen mit Gruß aus der Küche, Hauptgang und Dessert wurde ich gerade so satt. Normalerweise schaffe ich beim Essengehen nicht einmal den Hauptgang. Von daher wurde beim Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nur ein Stern vergeben. Bei einem Preis für 22,90 € bei zwei Gängen sollte man eigentlich schon satt werden. Die Pizza meiner Begleitperson war groß. Ich würde daher beim nächsten Mal eher zur Pizza greifen. Das Ambiente im Kellergewölbe ist unschlagbar.

Authentic Italian in a rustic setting. The wait staff were friendly and spoke English. We were offered a menu in English also. The pizza and pasta were the best we’ve had in Austria. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back again!
