Die Reservierung hat sehr funktioniert und mein Wunsch bezüglich des Sitzplatzes wurde berücksichtigt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Ambiente wie immer wunderschön. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)!

There's no doubt they serve delicious pizza here, but it's served by unfriendly staff who brusquely inform you at checkout that card payments are only accepted for orders over €20 – even though this isn't stated anywhere. They reluctantly made an exception. Annoying, these customers... Communication and service definitely need improvement.

The ambiance is truly lovely, and they put a lot of effort into it. The food is delicious and highly recommended. However, the owner is an absolute disgrace! When I asked to pay, a receipt was issued immediately without my consent. So far, so good. Right after that, I said I needed a receipt for the meal, and that's when the trouble started. The owner stormed over and gave me a dressing-down like a schoolboy, telling me I should have indicated my need for a receipt beforehand, that my colleague wasn't even allowed to issue one, that she'd have problems with the tax office, and that next time I should remember to mention it immediately when I asked to pay, etc. I've been going to business lunches regularly for over 20 years. I've never experienced such rudeness! It was utterly outrageous, especially with my client and a colleague standing right there! As I said, the food is top-notch! But the owner of that place really needs to learn how to treat customers properly! If it's so important, then when requesting payment, they should ask if a receipt for the business entertainment is needed. I've been in sales for over 20 years; if I treated my customers like this, I wouldn't have any! I'm so angry about this outrageous behavior!

War wieder ein schöner Abend mit Freunden in unserem Lieblingsrestaurant!

Were it not for the cozy ambiance of the lovely dining room and cellar, this restaurant would deserve exactly zero stars. In short: poor-quality ingredients, prepared into tasteless dishes, sold at exorbitant prices. For example, the tagliatelle with bacon, mushrooms, and chicken (what a combination!). The bacon was unidentifiable and tasteless. The real kicker was the "mystery meat," which was supposed to be chicken, but had absolutely nothing to do with chicken in terms of texture or taste. It came with a bland tomato-cream sauce. It could be so much better. The gnocchi were definitely cheap convenience food, and the sage butter was poorly prepared. Boring and tasteless. The service was very pushy and constantly asked if we wanted anything else. This was annoying and disruptive. Apparently, some restaurateurs in Bayreuth think they can get away with anything when there's no competition. Not recommended.

Super Ambiente und eine gute Küche mit saisonaler Tageskarte. Einzig die Preise für Mineralwasser ließen das Gefühl vermissen, welches man aus dem Italienurlaub her kennt.

We weren't informed that there was NO pizza available because the pizza chef was on vacation, despite having made a reservation. An Italian restaurant without pizza is basically a no-go. There were hundreds of fruit flies at our tables in the restaurant, which was very unpleasant. The pasta we had to take was good, but it was a child's portion.

Food was good, but the service ruined the experience. Our server was dismissive, ignored us most of the time, and never mentioned the kitchen was closing until we tried to order dessert. Poor communication and attitude made the visit disappointing.

We had a small salad. Various leaf salads with tomatoes and radishes. The dressing was good. No bread with it. Tagliatelle was good. The spaghetti frutti di mare sauce was a bit watery. No salt, pepper, oil, or parmesan cheese was placed on the table. No one even asked if everything was okay while eating. No need to ask after the meal. Nice interior, but unfortunately, there's a smoker.

Nice restaurant and good food. The vaulted cellar is great, but very loud. Unfortunately, there was an event going on at the same time, with speeches being given. It was impossible to have a conversation, even though you weren't part of it. The food is good, but not a highlight.

We wanted to eat at this restaurant today, but the owner told us there were no free tables because we didn't have a reservation and turned us away. Just a few minutes later, however, we saw online that tables were still available for that exact time. When we called to inquire, we were told that there were only seats available in the garden—even though it wasn't raining at all at that time. A very implausible excuse. Unfortunately, the owner's behavior was not only unprofessional, but we also felt like we were turned away because of our East Asian appearance. If this is indeed the reason, it is not only disappointing but also discriminatory. Therefore, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant to tourists or people of Asian background.

Went there because of excellent reviews. After visiting the place I’m quite surprised where all those 5-star reviews are coming from. Very average pasta made with canned tomato sauce and only 5 pastas in menu seems quite odd for an Italian restaurant. They didn’t even bring pepper, salt or olive oil, not even talking about bread. Too overpriced for very average food.

Das schöne alte Haus lässt von außen nicht auf ein Restaurant schließen, innen und insbesondere im Kellergewölbe offenbart sich ein wirklich sehr schönes Ambiente. Das Essen war rundum köstlich, angefangen von der Vorspeise über die leckere Hauptspeise bis zu den sehr passenden Getränken. Der Service war überaus zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Danke für einen wunderbaren Abend.

Wie immer sehr lecker und sehr freundliches Personal

Unsere Bedienung, eine junge Frau war sehr höflich und freundlich. Leider wurden wir von der Chefin nicht freundlich empfangen, kein Lächeln, kein freundliches Wort. Das schreckt ab. Ich hatte mich für gegrilltes Hähnchen, mit Spargel, Kartoffeln und Sauce Hollandaise entschieden und bin ziemlich rein gefallen. Für sage und schreibe 26.80 Euro habe ich eine fast versalzene Hähnchenbrust, mit noch nicht fertig gekochten Spargel bekommen, die Sauce einfach wässrig und die Kartoffeln mit Pfeffer? Bestreut. Ich habe das auch freundlich moniert, aber eigentlich hab ich Pech gehabt. Egal, der volle Preis musste sein. Wir hatten eine Vorspeise, eine Pizza, das Spargelgericht und zwei Getränke. (kein Wein ) und waren knapp 80 Euro zu zweit los. Viel zu teuer. Schade, weil gemütlich ist es dort. Der nächste Hochzeitstag muss wohl besser wo anders gefeiert werden.

If you are looking for a cozy "Italian corner" with delicious food - then you are 100% here. I was lucky enough to enjoy baked lamb fillet - it is simply an incredible delicacy, which was completed by a glass of beautiful red wine. The service is high-quality, fast, courteous. I want more!

Schönes kleines Lokal mit guter Küche und freundlichem, zuvorkommendem Personal. Wir hatten lediglich das Pech, einen Tisch im Durchgangsbereich zu erwischen. Das war für einen gemütlichen Abend zu zweit dann nicht so ganz passend. Muss aber auch sagen, dass wir relativ spät reserviert hatten. Beim nächsten Mal, werde ich darauf achten. Soll heißen: Kommen werden wir bestimmt wieder! 👋

Nightmare.. Service was extremely unfriendly from the start and in the end when asked for a recommendation for a pizza the answer was: 'Well darling, I'm alone here, I can't talk to everyone'. That's not how you deal with people - especially not with customers.

Excellent mat: Förätter, varmrätter och efterrätter från dagens meny och alla var mycket bra. Även sonens pizza var mycket bra.

Super cozy, rustic atmosphere combined with a modern touch! The restaurant was laid out on three levels with the inclusion of the cellar vault...fantastic! And to my surprise: it was cozy and warm! The food was wonderfully delicious...the service was courteous and friendly...the tables were lovingly...decorated with their own lights. I was completely thrilled!

Pizza with sourdough, that was something completely new for me, tastes really delicious. Everything prepared with a lot of love. You definitely have to go here. Don't forget to reserve. The ambience and service are also first class. Great!!!

Hübsches kleines Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen. Toller Service und sehr leckeres Essen. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten einen Tisch zu zweit am Valentinstag. Aufgrund des hohen Gästeverkehrs war eine Reservierung erst ab 21 Uhr möglich, was für uns jedoch kein großes Problem darstellte. Noch bevor wir zum Tisch gebracht wurden haben wir bereits mehrfach mitbekommen, dass Bestellungen nur noch bis 21:30 Uhr möglich wären, wo wir uns als Gast schon (vollkommen unnötig) unter Zeitdruck gesetzt fühlten. Zudem ist uns der etwas ruppige Umgangston der Chefin gegenüber ihrem Personal aufgefallen und der vermeintliche Feierabend des Küchenpersonals bestimmte gefühlt alle Abläufe im Restaurant. Herausgerissen hat es jedoch die sehr freundliche und authentische Bedienung und das unglaubliche phantastische Essen. Das Ambiente im La Cantinella ist wunderschön und lädt zu einem gemütlichen Abend bei Wein und gutem Essen ein. Das Dessert ist hier besonders zu loben. Es war einfach perfekt. Im Großen und Ganzen kann man La Cantinella nur mit "sehr gut" bewerten, alles andere würde dem Restaurant und seiner Qualität nicht gerecht werden. Vielleicht noch der Hinweis, dass wenn man sie Küche um 22 Uhr schließen möchte, die letzte Reservierung vielleicht um 20:30 Uhr annimmt, damit dieser lästige Zeitdruck nicht aufkommt und die Abläufe nicht ins Straucheln geraten. Ansonsten Tipp Topp!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und es verging nur sehr wenig Zeit, bis wir das Essen serviert bekamen. Die Pizza war gut belegt, dünner aber nicht durchgeweichter Boden, dicker Rand. Die Spaghetti frutti di mare waren auf dem Punkt, die Soße sehr lecker mit vielen Meeresfrüchten und der Salat mit gutem Dressing und einem großen Taler gebratenem Ziegenkäse war die perfekte Ergänzung dazu. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Essen in einem schönen gemütlichen Ambiente. Sehr zu empfehlen und wir werden mit Sicherheit nicht zum letzten Mal hier gewesen sein.

Very charming, small Italian restaurant with excellent dishes. As a starter we chose the Italian salad, which impressed with fresh lettuce, crunchy vegetables and a perfectly balanced dressing. The main courses were also a delight. The pizza was crispy and richly topped, while the Spaghetti Frutti di Mare scored with a delicious selection of seafood and an aromatic sauce. The service was attentive and friendly, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

Wir waren wie immer begeistert. Die Tageskarte bietet jedesmal neue abwechslungsreiche Gerichte die man kaum bei anderen Italienern (in Bayreuth) findet. Aber auch die normale Karte ist super. Wir lieben den lauwarmen Oktopussalat!! Der Service war wie immer zuvorkommend und das Preis-/Leustungsverhältnis ist absolut angemessen. Wir kommen bald wieder Barbara und Berndt

Waren das erste mal.im La Cantinella, es hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Raumakustik war durch das Kellergewölbe super angenehm, man hat nur seinen Tisch gehört und von den Tisch-Nachbarn gefühlt nichts. Wir waren auf jeden Fall nicht zum letzten Mal zu Besuch.

Wäre das erste Mal hier zum Essen und kommen gerne wieder .. sind rund um zufrieden gewesen ..

It's a shame because the food is really good - as is the changing selection of weekly specials or the rustic atmosphere. But the dishes are getting smaller and smaller and the prices are steep. Pasta is usually so big that it's enough for five bites, carpaccio is constantly shrinking, just like everything else - apart from pizza. Since we go out to eat when we're already hungry, we hardly come here anymore, even though it was my favorite restaurant.

We had a great evening at La Cantinella. The ambience down in the rustic stone vault was really nice! Delicious selection of daily specials too. We can highly recommend pizza and pasta dishes. The starter (carpaccio and bruscetta was really delicious!)

The lady in service seemed a bit stubborn, but we didn't let that get to us. We had slight doubts about the meat as to whether it was really fillet of beef. In our opinion it was too big for fillet. Despite the doubts, our food was very tasty and that is the most important thing.

Sie kochen einfach hervorragend. Die Menükarte ist nicht überladen, aber es gibt immer auch eine schöne Auswahl an Tagesgerichten. Insbesondere die Pasta-Gerichte und das Saltimbocca sind sehr zu empfehlen. Es ist meistens gut besucht und eine Tischreservierung, v.a. kurz vor oder am Wochenende, ist wichtig. Der Service ist gut, zuvorkommend und schnell.

Für unseren Anlass (Essen unter Freunden) perfekt geeignet, allerdings kann man auch gerne für ein Date oder ein geschäftliches Treffen kommen - die Atmosphäre passt zu jedem Anlass! Die Servicekräfte waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und haben zudem immer wieder nach dem Rechten geschaut, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Die Vorspeisen - Pizzabrot, Bruschetta und Salat Caprese - waren geschmacklich sehr gut und schön angerichtet, allerdings sollte man viel Appetit mitbringen, wenn man eine Vorspeise bestellt. Auch die Hauptgerichte - Pizza Margherita und Diavola und Nudeln - waren von stattlicher Größe, was dem Geschmack in nichts nachstand. Mit mildem Knoblauchöl verfeinert waren die Pizzen ein einziger Genuss. Dafür zahlt man gerne den ein oder anderen Euro mehr.

Pizza is really delicious there! Unfortunately the beef steak was one of the worst we have ever eaten. It tasted like soup seasoning (?!) and was anything but medium-rare (as ordered). Unfortunately, we didn't feel treated very friendly by the service. The inner courtyard has a nice atmosphere, but the window sills could be cleaned when you're sitting right next to them and there are still bird poop there and everything is very dirty... If you want to eat a good pizza you can definitely come here. However, we won't be coming back because the overall price-performance ratio is simply not right.

Not bad. Friendly waiter, the food came quickly and was really good. I had the tagliatelle with chicken and tomato sauce. Clear recommendation from me! What surprised me: no one asked if it tasted good. This is probably assumed. 😆

Very nice cozy atmosphere. Friendly and courteous service without being intrusive. We ordered Calzone and Pizza Gamberetto, both tasted excellent and were ready super quickly. The price isn't exactly cheap, but you really get something for it! We'd love to come back 👍🏻

We sat in a small, uncomfortable room with a view of the door of a storage room! Unfortunately the food was little and overpriced! We waited 1 hour for food. This time unfortunately very disappointing overall!

We were here for the first time yesterday. I have to say I can't find any errors. Very good food, an exceptional ambience and very friendly staff. We would love to come back and look forward to more.

Incomprehensible. The plan was to go out to eat here for my birthday. Reserved a table outside online in advance as it was still very warm and sunny in the evening. We arrived and were bluntly told that this reservation was not valid and that you couldn't reserve outside... Funny. But we were able to choose “for outside”. They then wanted to send us to the basement. Nice to sit in the cellar when it's over 20 degrees and sunny in summer. No decorum, no fun pleasantries. Happy birthday 😃

A nice restaurant with good food but high prices. Unfortunately we didn't like the drinks (aperitifs) at all.

Despite Saturday evening, we managed to clear a table for 5 people 2 hours beforehand. We liked the menu, as did the cozy vaulted cellar. Courteous service. All around lovely evening.

Very nice atmosphere. The antipasti plate was said to have been excellent and certainly looked very appetizing. Unfortunately, my spaghetti aglio olio wasn't the least bit spicy and the portion could have been a little larger.

We were looking forward to a lovely evening and were warmly welcomed by the waiter. But that was the end of the positive review. Unfortunately, we have rarely had such a bad meal as we did in this restaurant. We both ordered pasta. Once frutti di mare and once with asparagus and veal fricasse. The former consisted of unseasoned passata, which was unfortunately completely tasteless. It was as if a handful of seafood had just been poured with pure canned tomato sauce. The second consisted of a stick of unpeeled asparagus cut into pieces and also unseasoned cream sauce. When we returned the food, the waiter responded very friendly and offered us dessert to compensate. We chose chocolate souffle, which unfortunately was a finished product and had the consistency and appearance of filler. So we let this go back too. However, we would like to emphasize here that the waiter who served us was very polite and friendly at all times and also admitted that he had heard the criticism of the pasta several times and that the dessert really didn't look edible. Unfortunately the wine was also of the cheapest quality. After all, they only made us pay for the wine and the appetizer, which was delicious. However, we cannot recommend this restaurant. Thanks again to the friendly waiter, who made us feel like he was constantly having to deal with such complaints.

To be honest, today's experience was very disappointing👎🏻The bolognese sauce tasted more like diluted tomato water. I'm not sure if the seafood was still fresh, but it had a bitter taste🤯When I was here two years ago, me and my friend liked the food very much, but today was a big disappointment😢 In addition, although the restaurant was colorfully decorated, it was very narrow and enclosed, so that we could clearly hear every word of the loud conversations at the next table. There was also a group of people next to us who suddenly burst out laughing, which was particularly disturbing in the cramped space🫠

Ehrlich gesagt, war die Erfahrung heute sehr enttäuschend👎🏻Die Bolognesesoße schmeckte eher wie verdünntes Tomatenwasser. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob die Meeresfrüchte noch frisch waren, aber sie hatten einen bitteren Geschmack🤯Als ich vor zwei Jahren hier war, hat das Essen mir und meinem Freund sehr gut geschmeckt, aber heute war eine große Enttäuschung😢 Zudem war das Restaurant zwar farbenfroh gestaltet, aber sehr eng und abgeschlossen, sodass wir jedes Wort der lauten Gespräche am Nachbartisch klar und deutlich hören konnten. Außerdem gab es eine Gruppe von Leuten neben uns, die plötzlich in schrilles Gelächter ausbrach, was in dem beengten Raum besonders störend war🫠

Delicious food, attentive service, clean toilets, pleasant waiting time for starters and main courses, cozy atmosphere, great selection of daily specials (including seasonal ones) It was just a beautiful evening!

Wir haben außerordentlich gut gegessen. Die Bedienungen waren durchweg sehr freundlich. Wir hatten einen schönen und unterhaltsamen Abend zu dritt bei gutem Essen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen. Die einzige Anmerkung die wir hätten, ist der Espresso. Dieser entspricht nicht unseren italienischen Geschmacksknospen. Hier könnte im Optimalfall nochmal nachjustiert werden. (Aber wirklich nur als minimaler Kritikpunkt).

Wir waren rundum zufrieden. Sehr leckere Pizza. Der Teig war erstklassig. Vor- und Nachspeise toll angerichtet. Super Tageskarte. Und ein unschlagbarer Service. Sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
