Very large, delicious schnitzels

This has been the best Schnitzel I've ever tried! The size of the dish is about twice bigger than any other place in Munich. The amount of different types of Schnitzel would make you want to return and try them all. They also have beers (obviously) and other food items, like grilled fish and sauerkraut. Definitely put this place on your list if you are visiting Munich and want to try local and delicious food!

The portion was large, we were full. But the first schnitzel on the menu was too spicy to eat.

I was extremely hungry and this establishment was the ideal choice here in München, thank you.

We were wondering if waiting outside for 20mins in the rain was going to be worth it and let me tell you, absolutely! I had the rouladen with Rotkohl, a dumpling and potatoe salad. It was phenomenal! The apple strudel for dessert was also great! We had to travel all over Munich to find a restaurant that serves this specific dish and they did it wonders. Schmuck gut!!

The portions are generous and delicious. The water is expensive compared to the food. Keep in mind that the schnitzel is huge; it could easily feed two people. They offer to pack up any leftovers for you to take away.

Great place! As everyone is saying, extremely large portions, but we loved the taste! Tried the bavarian one and the spicy with turkey! All great!

We were there on a Thursday evening. Although there were quite a few people outside, we were lucky to get a table since there were only two of us. We both ordered the mushroom schnitzel. And what can I say? It was simply amazing! The portion size filled the entire plate. The taste was fantastic. The waiter was very friendly and brought our food to the table in no time. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Munich.

Such an amazing place to eat in Munich. The snitchel is out of this world. It's the best snitchel I've ever had. Even better than the ones I had in Vienna. Huge snitchel, perfectly tender with amazing flavor. Also the pumpkin soup was so smooth and creamy, another amazing flavor to try! The rasturant is small and cozy. Expect some wait time to be sitted but it is definitely worth it! My only minor complaint would be the servers, they are a bit too harsh and sometimes feel unwelcoming, but definitely that didn't worsen the experience.

The selection of schnitzels is unbelievably big. The portions are quite big, too, compared to the price. We waited around 20 minutes for a table, but it was definitely worth it.

After an exhausting 1 hour queue I can tell you that I could have done without it, the cutlet is certainly huge but I didn't like it very spicy and with a pink sauce between the breading, what can I say, I would absolutely not go back there

The food was rated as excellent by the guests 🍽️. Schnitzel and cordon bleu proved to be particularly popular choices, both delicious 😋 and satisfying. The staff presented themselves as neutral and professional 🙂, without any noticeable strengths or weaknesses.

They were so rude on the phone. It’s fine that you don’t take reservations but maybe don’t hang up on your costumers face when they ask a very simple question? Just say we can’t answer? Shouldn’t be that hard

The traditional schnitzel was very good (4/5). We didn't enjoy the cordon bleu as much, but that's just our taste. We really appreciated that a small salad and fries were included with the meal. If we're in the mood for schnitzel again, we'll definitely come back. 👍🏻😊

It's amazing how efficiently the staff managed so many guests. Hats off to them. (-) Unfortunately, there was no changing table. Also, I find it odd that they only accept cash. We still had to wait 40 minutes for the Kaiserschmarrn (they had advertised 20 minutes).

Traditional bavarian restaurant to enjoy a very well made and tender Schnitzel, available in tons of different varieties - I have got the one with eggs, and aside from the size which is definitely surprising, tasted really yummi! Just remember to bring cash with you as they dont accept credit card payments

If you’re craving a nice, huge schnitzel, this is definitely the place for you. First, be aware that payment is cash only and no reservations are allowed. There’s usually a queue outside, so you may have to wait for a seat — but I can only recommend that you do, because it will be totally worth it. The star of the restaurant is the schnitzel, and they offer several different marinades, each with its own tasty twist. So don’t bother trying other dishes — just go for the schnitzel. I always choose the “Spezial”, and it’s always incredibly delicious. The schnitzel itself is thin, with a golden, crispy crust. Portions are huge, so consider sharing one if you don’t eat that much. Moreover, the prices are very fair considering the size of the portions and its location. I cannot recommend this place enough — I’m salivating as I write this — so go and have the best schnitzel of your life.

We ate there on a Monday evening. Known from several social media videos, the restaurant was touted as one of the best schnitzel places in Munich. Atmosphere: The atmosphere is lovely and cozy. It has a bit of a brewery feel (personal impression). Service: The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Food: The food was delicious. The restaurant offers many Bavarian classics, but its extensive schnitzel and cordon bleu menu is particularly impressive. I had a schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce and potato and cucumber salad. What can I say? The schnitzel was delicious and plate-sized. Pounded thin and fried to a crisp. You can even hear the pounding from the kitchen, so it's probably always freshly made. The sauce was very tasty and wonderfully creamy. The potato and cucumber salad was also incredibly delicious and just the way I like it. For a starter, I had goulash soup, which actually had a Christmassy flavor (they used cloves), something I hadn't experienced before, but I still found it delicious. Two points that could be criticized (it's a matter of opinion): - cash only - no reservations possible (you have to try your luck and might have to wait - however, we were lucky and found a table immediately) I'll definitely come back if I'm ever in the area. Highly recommended!

I wanted to have a beer with a colleague on Wednesday at 9 pm, but was turned away because the tables were only for eating, even though there were at least 8 tables free. I find that absolutely unacceptable. I've always thought the place was very good.

The portions are huge! Easily enough for two people to share. Good food.

There were two of us, and we found the restaurant through online recommendations. The portions are very large and easily shared between two or even three people, especially if you also share a Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake) afterward. There was a smaller schnitzel underneath the large one, and the meat was very tender. The Kaiserschmarrn was slightly caramelized and delicious, and the prices are very fair. For people who eat a lot, this is definitely a good place.

I recommend keeping three cats for mice. Especially Van cats. The backyard will be spotless in 10 days at most. Mice are very easy carriers of germs, and living with humans is risky. Mice have very similar DNA to humans, so the risk of disease transmission is very high. I don't understand why all of Europe doesn't understand this (the plague epidemic) and still doesn't want it.

I was with 2 other friends and we arrived at around 6pm. We had to wait for a bit for a table to free up since they don’t do reservations, so I wouldn’t recommend going with a large group of people. The food was pretty good, the main dishes were around 20-25€ and drinks (we had non-alcoholic and beer) were around 3-6€. I had a champignon sauce schnitzel; one of my friends had a fish dish; and the other one had a cordon bleu (kind of like a schnitzel with filling). I’d recommend getting the cordon bleu, since it was a large portion with a lot of filling, and I thought the schnitzel was a little dry (even with the sauce). The side dishes (fries and salad) were included. The service was fast and they kindly packed our leftovers for us. Overall, it was a very nice experience, I’d love to go again!

I had the schnitzel with peppercorn sauce and my husband had the mushroom sauce. It was delicious and I felt I was eating an excellent example f this German staple. Be aware they don’t take bookings and I thinks the Germans earlish so plan your arrival accordingly. We arrived at 19:15, there were 7 people in front of us who assured us it was worth the wait. We got in at 19:55 and it would have been later if the 3 people in front of us hadn’t let us sit at the 6 person table. If we had known we would have gone for a drink and arrived at 20:15 when the queue was practically gone. We had 2 beers each. Service was quick and v friendly.

The second time, we got a table within 2 minutes. Excellent food and extremely large portions. There is a large selection of schnitzels to choose from, despite the English menu description seemingly same, one can actually taste the difference in marinade. The pork wasn't dry, and the included side (I chose potato-cucumber salad) paired well with the cutlet. The prices were a lot cheaper than some restaurants closer to the city center, not to mention bigger portions. Depending on one's appetite, might want to share a portion, to leave room for dessert, which I unfortunately didn't leave room for. A must visit for those craving schnitzels!

If you're really hungry – head to Andy's Krablergarten! The schnitzels are gigantic, you could almost say XXL size 😄 Excellent value for money! I just wish the Obatzda schnitzel had a bit more of an Obatzda flavor. But otherwise, it's really delicious – two women could easily share one schnitzel here!

The waiter was so rude, because when we got there we open the door because wasn't any line up. They don't care about the customers because they have enough customers.

The staff here are very rude, especially if you don’t speak German. Many of the bad reviews are from international customers, and that does not feel like a coincidence. I have visited this place 2–3 times, hoping it was just a one-time problem, but their disrespectful behavior happened every time. You should learn to show some respect to your customers.

As many other comments have said, they have zero respect for their customers. I’m pretty sure that whenever you visit, there is a 0% chance you’ll see a smiling waiter. They simply do not know how to smile. They talk to you like they’re already planning to beat you up once the conversation is over. I’m paying you for a service, you dummies—not begging you for a favor, so don’t treat me like your neighbor’s kid you’re forced to babysit. As many other reviews point out, they show shockingly RACIST BEHAVIOR. Instead of questioning their staff, they spend their time denying and discrediting the customers who call them out for it in the reviews. You can literally see these guys scolding four different tables within just one hour. Especially the bald guys act like donkeys if you don’t speak German. On top of this disgusting behavior, they serve the most mediocre schnitzel imaginable for 20 euros. TLDR: If you’re a tourist or simply respect your money and dignity, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS; you’d be much happier literally swallowing that 20 euros instead of eating their schnitzel and ending up in a fight with them.

The schnitzel was very well served! We missed the truffle one, and it's incredible; they put real shavings on it, and in generous amounts. It was delicious! My wife and I easily shared it. Not to mention the beers, everything was very good!

The servant was really really rude! Whoever made this place famous Idk but the food was not even good. The oil was bad so all of our stomachs hurt. They didn’t bring one of the potato salads. The servant had no shame literally

We were inside for lunch, not in the garden. The two waitresses were very friendly and gave good advice on portion sizes. Depending on what you're willing to eat, you might want to order a schnitzel for two, as it's already a large portion for one person. We had the Cordon Bleu with sweet mustard, among other dishes, which was a truly amazing combination! The prices are reasonable for the size, especially if you're sharing. Highly recommended. We went back in the evening, and there was a line. Reservations are recommended.

We visited this particular shop/schnitzel restaurant yesterday... 5/5!!! The schnitzels, as you can tell from the photos, are delicious. We chose the ones with the mushroom sauce, which they bring you in a separate sauce pan next to you and you pour as much as you want yourself. I had read in other comments that this particular sauce is watery, ours was by no means as thick as it should be. Fantastic shop, we would definitely go back!!! 100% worth it and the prices are very affordable

We had been told about this place before our travel to Munich. The truth is this place exceeded our expectations. The schnitzel was delicious and the restaurant offered a huge variety. The fries were also excellent. I visited the place twice and I have recommended it to people that also visited Munich

Great restaurant. Not right in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but still centrally located. Huge portions, but not mass-produced. Six of us were there and received a friendly welcome, even without a reservation. The food was delicious, fresh, and the wait time was short. Definitely a recommendation for traditional Bavarian cuisine.

Had a lovely experience here for a late lunch. We got the spicy schnitzel and it filled 2 of us up for hours. We tried to go for dinner one evening but were too hungry to wait for food. I would definitely recommend coming during lunch time. Service was good and it was quiet.

Disgusting experience – spider in the salad! I was truly shocked: There was a live spider in my salad! This simply shouldn't happen – it's a clear indication of poor hygiene and inadequate control in the kitchen. I was actually looking forward to a fresh, delicious meal, but my appetite completely disappeared afterward. The service did respond to my complaint, but honestly, I expect something like this to never happen in a restaurant. Very disappointing – I won't order from here again.

Hello everyone, I went there with high expectations, but was sorely disappointed. My food was served cold, and I even found a hair in it. Extremely disappointing, and the worst part was the unfriendly older woman who then approached me. I'll never go there again.

Unbeatable location, good and fast service, better-than-average prices, and huge portions. If you want a good, nice, and affordable place, this is it.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the food, as our appetites were spoiled before we even got there. There were four adults and two children, and we waited in line for about 40 minutes. Shortly before we were about to start, the waitress asked us how many of us were. Apparently, six people was too many for them. We were told that we would have to wait a long, long time. She was in a really bad mood and very uncomprehending. We tried to explain to her that we could maybe sit separately, but unfortunately she didn't let us get a word in edgeways. Apparently, larger groups, and especially children, aren't welcome in the restaurant.

It's delicious, but it's only cash... Please prepare cash.

They simply told us there wasn't room for nine people, without giving us a plausible reason. Even when we offered to join tables together, the request was refused in an extremely rude and condescending manner. The tone was insulting and disrespectful – I've never experienced anything like it. Especially in a family-run business, one should expect a friendlier and more professional approach. Very disappointing and absolutely not recommended.

The receptionist at the entrance was unfortunately very unfriendly. We arrived as a large group with great anticipation and fully understood that we couldn't all fit at one table. However, when we suggested splitting up, the suggestion was rejected very rudely and disrespectfully. We were immediately told that we had no chance of eating there today. It's a shame – a friendlier tone would certainly have made a completely different impression. More like Andy's Gratlergarten!

We waited for about 30 minutes in front of Andy's Playground today and were treated extremely rudely. When we were asked how many people we were, and honestly answered that there were nine of us, we received a very disrespectful and dismissive response – literally, "No way!" in an inappropriate tone. Such behavior is unacceptable, especially towards guests who politely ask and wait. We are very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back. What a shame, because we were really looking forward to our visit. I've never experienced anything like that before!

I came here first time in 2022 and it didn't change much. The schnitzel is again tasty and big. Also, they have huge variety of schnitzel such as honey and mustard, cheese, hot sauce, etc. However, you might wait to get inside and most importantly it is cash only restaurant.

The food is good and the portions are generous, but the service is terrible. It was our first stop in Munich for a meal before Oktoberfest. We arrived and were quickly seated, but since we don't speak the local language, we had trouble understanding the menu. Seeing this, instead of helping us and showing empathy, the waiter chose to change his tone of voice, gesticulate, and huff and puff. A person who works in customer service in a super touristy city should at least be patient and make suggestions instead of rolling their eyes because the customer is having trouble with the language. Just to point out that the waiter's English was also difficult to understand, but I didn't treat him badly because of that. I simply canceled my order. The other people with me received their dishes and enjoyed the food, but I lost my appetite.
