Amazing pork schnitzel, but outstanding potato-cucamber salad. Quite of a lame service though.

We were in Munich and wanted to eat the best schnitzel, and we were not disappointed. I thought the good reviews were due to the giant schnitzels, but they were also delicious! I've never eaten such delicious schnitzel. I ordered a side of sauce, but the schnitzel was so delicious that I skipped the sauce. I had the spicy schnitzel, and it tasted even better than the regular one. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Munich.

Excellent schnitzel If you want a hearty meal without too much fuss, without spending a fortune, this is the place for you. They have various types of schnitzel; I don't recommend the spicy one unless you like spicy food, as it's incredibly hot. There are tables both inside and in the garden, but beware: it's full of bees in the summer! Worth a try, at least for a quick lunch.

The food is really good. Schnitzel and cordon bleu in all variations. Other classic dishes are also on the menu. Side dishes are a bit of a side dish, but with a half-square-meter schnitzel, they're no problem. Due to the rush, you may experience longer wait times.

We arrived at the restaurant relatively late, and the experience was simply excellent. The food was amazing – we ordered a schnitzel with truffle mushrooms from the specials, which came in a huge size with fries on the side. It was the most delicious schnitzel we have ever eaten! The price was completely fair in relation to the size of the portion. We also ordered a large salad – there was nothing special in it, just chopped vegetables with an industrial sauce. Fortunately, this did not detract from the overall excellent experience. The beers were excellent with a good selection, and the waiter’s recommendation was also spot on. For dessert we had an apple strudel with vanilla sauce and whipped cream – one of the most delicious strudels we have ever tasted. The service was fast and courteous, everything arrived hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Important to know – payment in cash only. Fair prices, excellent food and excellent service – highly recommended!

I discovered it through TikTok. I just happen to be on vacation here right now, so I jumped at the chance. The schnitzel and cordon bleu were as huge as in the video and absolutely delicious. Great value for money.

A very good location, unassuming from the outside, but cozy inside and in the beer garden. There are several schnitzel variations, and here's the kicker: the schnitzels are incredibly large; you get a huge portion for little money. The service is friendly and pleasant. You don't have to wait long for your order; you get your drink and food in no time. If you're in Munich, you should definitely stop by here.

There are so many mice out there in the garden, not aftayof humans and coming just under your table. In a minute or two I spot 3 of them! They should do something to control them. It's cash only, don't forget to bring cash with yourself

The food was super delicious! Four of us came for dinner and had schnitzel, salad, cheese spaetzle, and frikadellen (meat patties). We were all delighted and full! The service was very quick and very friendly. So, we'll definitely be back.

Great Restaurant to have some nice food and beer. The schnitzel portions are huge! You should be really hungry to manage. Many people order 2 dishes and share these between 3 or 4 people, which makes a perfect sense. While the schnitzel meat was tender I personally found it slightly too much breaded. Service is nice, the wait time for food to be ready is not that long.

I'm at a loss as to how the reviews are so good. It's probably due to the large portions. The quality, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Quantity over quality, and that seems to be enough for people these days :/ Plus, cash only. The numerous mice in the beer garden were the last straw for us.

Unfortunately, we (five people) couldn't test the quality of the food, so no rating for that. There's a "Cash only" sign on the door. That's not service for me. One star instead. We went to another restaurant and spent around €250 plus tip.

The food is incredibly delicious and served relatively quickly. Unfortunately, reservations aren't available, so expect to wait. In the summer, however, there's a large beer garden, so service is relatively quick. Service is fast and friendly.

Huge portions of schnitzel at very good prices – you really don’t leave hungry! The service was fast and the staff was polite, which made the experience even more positive. The only negative is that they only accept cash, but at least they clearly state that at the entrance, so you know what to expect. Overall, a very good choice for a filling and tasty meal.

We ordered the Vienna Schnitzel. We didn't have to wait in line because we arrived before 5, but people who came after us did. The garden is gorgeous. It was cool and green. The inside is small. The restrooms are clean. Separate for men and women. The schnitzel is very large, perfect for two people. However, I didn't like the meat. It was stringy and tough. The coating wasn't even right. The meat was boiled inside. They brought fries with it. A salad would have been better, or they could have asked which one we preferred, as the fries weren't hot. A small beer and a schnitzel cost 38-odd euros. Value for money is great; it would have been great if the meat had been better. Almost everyone ordered takeout. The worst part is that they only accept cash. We didn't have any money with us. Luckily, there was a bank nearby, so we withdrew. Otherwise, we would have been in trouble. I won't go again. I don't think it deserves that high a score. I was fooled by the rating. Go without expectations.

Huge schnitzels suggest you share unless you’re really hungry or a big eater. Have never seen so many grown men leaving a restaurant with their leftovers wrapped in al-foil. Great atmosphere in the beer garden out the back. A must to get your schnitzel fix!

For years, this has been our best beer garden with excellent Bavarian home cooking! Here you can get by far the largest portions of pork schnitzel, cordon bleu, and roast pork. Always consistent in quantity and quality, our favorite restaurant in Munich with excellent value for money!

The plate was absolutely enormous, the portions were XXL. We managed to finish it all, but if you have a "small" stomach, we recommend a plate for every two. That said, they were delicious (and you save yourself dinner).

Spectacular Snitzel, and the interior garden is very pleasant for dining. Excellent service and a good price.

--Food-- The bavarian cordon bleu(23 CHF) with turkey(+2 CHF) was amazing. It also had pork bacon and cheese in it. As it can be seen from the images, it was big and filling. I have a big appettite so it filled me just the right amount but my friends were not able to finish theirs. Don't worry though, you can have the rest of your meal packaged if you want to take it home. Our food orders came to our table in 10 minutes tops, and the drinks were brought almost instantly. --Atmosphere-- It is a big place with lots of outdoor seats. It was a bit cold during dinner time(in August) so you might wanna take your sweatshirts or sth to make you warm. Beer helps too.

The food was okay and quite enjoyable, even if it wasn't outstanding. Unfortunately, the service significantly dampened the overall impression: very inattentive and unfriendly. However, especially in a restaurant, service plays a crucial role in creating a sense of well-being. With a little more attentiveness and warmth, the visit could be considerably more pleasant.

The spicy schnitzel was crispy and tasty without being greasy, and the portion was large, so it would be perfect to order one schnitzel and one side to share. However, during busy times, the servers were a bit blunt and didn't come often, so ordering was a bit difficult. The advantage is that you can eat outside.

Anyone who likes Bavarian cuisine will be in good hands at Andy's Krablergarten. There's an extensive menu and drinks list. The service is always friendly and prompt. They serve schnitzel in many variations. The portions are always so huge that you can barely finish them all alone. The quality is excellent. Reservations aren't possible. There are often long waits at the entrance. Payment is cash only. In summer, there's a really nice beer garden behind the restaurant. The price/performance ratio is still okay, even if the price increase feels like it's higher than the recent VAT increase. Edit: 8/21/25: This place is overwhelmed by its own success. No matter when I pass by, there's always a long line in front of the entrance, waiting for a seat.

Highly recommended, as it's reasonably priced and centrally located, with friendly service and a lovely beer garden. Unfortunately, no card payments are accepted—that's completely unacceptable these days! I initially considered deducting a star for that, but the overall package won me over!

Good portion sizes but afterwards the schnitzel left a terrible taste in my mouth which I recognize to be a symptom of using cheap, ultra refined and chemically enhanced cooking oils like palm, canola, soybean and rapeseed oil. These oils are heated to very high temperatures during processing which makes them unstable, they promote free radicals and are dangerous to your health. These guys should know that schnitzel should only be cooked with butterschmalz (clarified butter). Also it wouldn't hurt if the waiter smiled a bit. He did not make me feel welcome.

I wonder who is able to finish that porsion of the schenitzel. I liked it.

A beer change during the reservation (I admit, a language barrier!) made the waiter extremely angry. He initially ignored the change with a disdainful expression and an inappropriate gesture. Only after I called him back did he decide to change our beer. Too bad he got lost in a glass of... beer. Rude!

I often come here for lunch because the food is good. I ordered two pork knuckles and two beers. The bill should have been around €63, but the waiter didn't bill me and charged me around €73, which was €10 more. This is the first time I've ever experienced this at this restaurant, but it's an obvious irregularity. Interestingly, the guest at the next table received a bill, but I didn't. Due to this incident, I will unfortunately not be visiting the restaurant again. Warning to guests: Always ask for a bill and check the amount carefully. The food was really good, but unfortunately the experience was terrible: we had to wait more than an hour to get our dishes, and the waiter was very rude. On top of that, there were mice running around on the floor of the restaurant. It’s a shame because the kitchen could be worth it, but the service and hygiene completely ruined the experience. We thought it was worth the parking and the wait in line. The restaurant had a large, busy backyard. The staff was friendly and helpful. The portions are very large; one serving is easily enough for two people. Don't order without seeing the portions.

Absolutely disappointing! The service was uncaring and unfriendly – our orders were taken in a rush, without eye contact, as if they just wanted to get us out of the way. The schnitzel was a disaster: the breading fell apart into shreds, and the taste was completely off. The waiter's only response to our criticism was a disparaging remark that they made the "best schnitzel" here – simply ridiculous. For me, this was the worst schnitzel I've ever eaten. Never again!

Every time in Munich with friends from abroad it is a must to go there. The schnitzels are huge and definitely enough for two. Service is fast and efficient and the food taste great. Especially the potato salad. Nice in the backyard it is quiet and with shadow not too hot and I would overall recommend this place to everyone who wants authentic food for a good price !

We stopped in spontaneously before our departure, lured by the good reviews, and were absolutely not disappointed! The schnitzel was huge and of top quality, the spaetzle homemade, and the prices absolutely fair. We sat in the lovely beer garden, and despite the crowds, our food arrived quickly and hot. It was super delicious, and the best potato salad I've had in a long time!

The biggest schnitzel we've ever eaten...🥩 One portion is enough for three... Everything is delicious, classic Bavarian menu. In summer, you can dine in the indoor beer garden. Just outside the historic center, away from the tourist crowds. Recommended!

Andy’s krablegarten is quite the nice place. We had to wait 20 minutes for a table outside as they don’t use their inside seating which was a bit strange but never mind that. This was a very good value meal in my travels history with such large portions and it tasted very good I recommend the schnitzel. Some of these reviews and I won’t point any fingers claim to have witnessed rats running amok, which I did not witness just to clear the air. It’s a cash only establishment but there’s an atm nearby, and I’m glad to have come here.

Normal-high prices, and they don't accept credit cards. You have to wait, even if they have plenty of space... the food is delicious, and in generous quantities. But you eat with mice, literally, running around next to you. 🤦🏾‍♂️

Yesterday, I ate there with my boyfriend. Unfortunately, we didn't feel welcome from the start. It was barely busy, yet we were repeatedly ignored by the waiter, despite several attempts to call for the waiter. When he finally arrived, he silently and rudely placed the bill on our table. The food arrived quickly, but the taste was disappointing. The cream sauce was bland, and the "fiery Krablergartenschnitzel" tasted strongly of wasabi, which wasn't what we expected. The absolute shock, however, came when we noticed rats under our table. After seeing this, we just wanted to leave the place as quickly as possible. Overall, a very disappointing experience – both in terms of service, food, and hygiene.

The price is definitely justified for the portion size. We really liked how large the schnitzel and the portions were. It was just a shame that we were just tourists and not from Munich, so we couldn't take the delicious leftovers with us. Even though it was very busy, we only waited 18 minutes for our food. All in all, we really enjoyed our time at Andy's Krablergarten. If we're ever in Munich again, we'll definitely come back.

The portions, especially the schnitzels, are substantial. One serving is more than enough for two. However, the schnitzels were not well-prepared, as they were too oily, indicating that the oil had not been changed recently. This affected the taste. In addition, our waiter was a bit hasty in taking our order. It's important to note that this establishment only accepts cash payments, which can be inconvenient for some diners.

One of the best places to eat traditional Schnitzels. There are wide variety of them, garnished with the smiling service and fast delivery. The portions are so big that sometimes I share it with my daughter 😀 Slightly inconvenience is that they don’t accept reservations and card payments.
