Zum Gustl in München

Kenne Freiham seit 1983 und verkehrte dort regelmäßig. Es war immer eine einfache Wirtschaft mit Biergarten. Inzwischen leben wir nicht mehr in München und waren seit 13 Jahren wieder mal dort, beim Gustl. Es hat uns dort sehr gut gefallen. Gut, mittlerweile hat sich das Drumherum alles unglaublich verändert. Sehr voll, sehr viele Menschen. Aber das ganze Hofgut wird sicher sehr schön, wenn die Bauarbeiten fertig sind. Ach ja, Bier sehr gut, Essen hat auch geschmeckt.

Toller Biergarten, sehr nettes und schnelles Personal.

Ich kenne das Gut Freiham seit Jahrzehnten und ich muss sagen, sehr großen Dank für die Rettung vor dem Verfall. Der Biergarten ist sehr empfehlenswert, das Essen ist sehr gut. Ich hatte den Schweinsbraten, die Portion war üppig und die Soß war zum neilegn guad. Hab auch von den anderen Gerichten probiert, durchaus Schmackhaft! Do geh ma wieda hi!

Super Gasthaus. Tolles Essen und klasse Bier. Sehr schönes Ambiente im Gasthaus und im Biergarten. Schneller, freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service.

Alles Top. Leider sind Reservierung sehr schwierig, da man sehr frühzeitig planen/reservieren muss.

Der Biergarten ist leider nur noch ein schlechter Witz. Ca. 30% der Tische wurden weggelassen. Da der Biergarten sowieso schon klein ist, findet man jetzt zu normalen Zeiten keinen Platz mehr. Nachdem auch die Portionsgrössen der Shrinkflation unterliegen, Daumen runter.

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen Super, nach Denkmalschutz, renovierte und nach konstruierte Gebäude Service und Essen sehr gut . Egal ob im Bedienteil des Biergartens oder im SB-Bereich. Für den Bedienteil ist eine Reservierung empfehlenswert

Schöner Biergarten und der Spielplatz für Kinder ist klasse! Aber die Preise, für eine Familie mit Kindern sind schon exorbitant! 90€ für 3 Schnitzel, 1x Fleischpflanzerl & 1x Rostbratwürste… Getränke kommen dann extra. Für eine Feier bestimmt sehr schön. Aber für einen Nachmittag am Spielplatz mit Kinder einfach zu teuer. Das Essen war sehr lecker, aber für die Preise leider einen Stern Abzug.

Solider Biergarten, mit gutbürgerlicher Küche

Essen ist exzellent. Örtlichkeit ein im Außenbereich ein Traum. Einziges Manko der Gastro dort ist, dass es kein alkoholfreies Radler gibt. Nicht mal eine Limo und ein alkoholfreies Helles kann man sich zum mischen bestellen. Nicht erlaubt. Für Autofahrer, die bissl Erfrischung wollen schade und auch nicht nachvollziehbar.

Nettes Ambiente - allerdings Obacht : Selbstbedienung Speisen deutlich vor 21:00, Getränke bis max 21:00 (sharp) Bedienbereich theoretisch bis 22:00 , de facto aber bis 21:15 (da findet die „letzte Runde“ statt, die aber nicht aktiv angeboten wird ) Man wird leider schon vorher ignoriert . Personal ist gut besetzt also liegt’s wohl an der internen „Organisation“ Dagegen sind Stadtverwaltung, der Bauhof oder Bank und Post Paradiese … die schließen pünktlich, aber bis dahin funktioniert der Service .

Hatten einen Tisch im Biergarten reserviert. Sehr schneller und super sympathischer Service zu einem sehr guten Essen. Die Ochsenfetzen waren absolut genial. Leider im Moment noch viel Baustelle im Gut Freiham, aber das bekommt Augustiner auch hin ! :o) Top !

Die Bedienung ist leider sehr arrogant. Der Biergarten war leer. Aber ich wurde plaziert. Bin dann gegangen. Essen kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Gute bayerische Küche in großzügigen Portionen, empfehlenswert zum Mittag- oder Abendessen; die Biere sind mild im Geschmack.

Leckere kleines verstecktes Wirtshaus. Netter Service. Liegt schön gelegen. Die gesamte Anlage ist schön restauriert.

Essen war sehr salzig und fast nicht genießbar. In der Panade fehlte das Ei dann hält die Sache auch zusammen. Wir waren heute leider das letzte mal dort, weil wir mit dem Essen nicht zufrieden waren Service top Preis für das Essen sehr teuer. Zum empfehlen Salate die sehr schön angerichtet sind und auch gut schmecken. Macht euch selber ein Bild.

Restaurant mit Biergarten. Hervorragend für jeden Anlass. Ob Restaurantbesuch oder zum selbst mitbringen im Biergarten. Spielplatz direkt neben dran. Das ganze Angustiner Gemäuer sieht es edel aus. Kleiner Hofladen ist dabei. Sehr ruhige Lage. Es gibt nur 0,5 er Gläser Bier und kleine Brezen. Untypisch für bayrische Biergärten.

Seit langem dieses Gasthaus wieder mal besucht, nach Renovierung. Ist richtig gut geworden. Service einwandfrei. Preis - Leistung o.k. Innenräume ein Schmuckstück. Für große und kleine Gesellschaften super geeignet. Immer wieder gerne.

Sehr gute Küche zu entspannten Preisen Preisen. Die Weißwürste sind ein Highlight!

Völlige Überforderung des Personals, lange mit leeren Gläsern gewartet, Essen sehr sehr übersichtlich und mit viel Luft nach oben, so schade für Augustiner Brauerei. Aber es wird alles schön hergerichtet...

Das Essen war leider nicht so berauschend und der Schweinebraten ziemlich fettig. Ansonsten ein nettes Ambiente im Außenbereich, aber insgesamt hätte ich mehr erwartet.

Einfach Klasse was daraus geworden ist!!!

Essen war geschmacklich super. Kleine Mankos gab es bei den Zutaten . Beim Dreierlei Aufstrich ist nur eine (gute) Breze dabei. Beim Brotzeitbrettl (reicht fast für zwei Personen) sind nur zwei Brote dabei. Schweinsbraten war super und der Kaiserschmarrn ein Gedicht.

Super Essen, guter Service und die gesellschaftliche Atmosphäre ist immer wieder ein Genuss. Allerdings sollte man mind. eine Woche vorab reservieren, bevor man am Wochenende dort zum Abendessen gehen will. Essen ist eine absolute Empfehlung! Feinste Schmankerl aus der bayrischen Küche. Das Stiftungshaus ist eine klare Empfehlung.

Netter kleiner Biergarten mit einem tollen Kinderspielplatz. Wirklich gutes Essen und natürlich AUGUSTINER.

Wir waren als Kollegen spontan nach einer Messe da, um uns für den Heimweg noch zu stärken. Es gab keinen Tisch für uns aber nach etwas Zusammenrücken haben wir Platz am Stammtisch gefunden, was ein einzigartiges Erlebnis war! Inmitten super freundlicher Einheimischer haben wir total lecker typisch bayrisch gespeist. Das Bier war auch sehr lecker, der Service zuvorkommend! Einzig das Essen kam etwas versetzt, war aber kein Problem und hat irgendwie zur Stammtischatmosphäre gepasst- ein kommen und gehen und sehr nette Gespräche. Der Schweinebraten war der Knaller! Parkgebühren werden bei Essen im Restaurant erstattet. Wir kommen sicher bei der nächsten Messe wieder!

Das Essen war gut, aber die Auswahl im Biergarten war sehr begrenzt. Als wir dort waren, konnte man im Biergarten nicht mit Karte zahlen, im Restaurant aber schon, was natürlich absurd ist.

Also ich als gebürtiger alter Münchner, finde das Essen echt schlecht. Das konnte ich bei mittlerweile mehreren Besuchen und verschiedenen Gerichten feststellen. Ich kann die positiven Bewertungen des Essens nicht nachvollziehen. Aber für ein gutes kühles Augustiner empfehlenswert!

Perfekte Biergarten mit super schöne Spielplatz.

Leider war unser Besuch im Gustl Biergarten sehr enttäuschend. Schon bei der Begrüßung hatte man das Gefühl, nicht wirklich willkommen zu sein. Das Personal (insbesondere der „Chef" wie sich herausstellte) wirkte unfreundlich und wenig interessiert an den Gästen. Wir wurden sehr schroff darauf aufmerksam gemacht „uns das nächste Mal platzieren zu lassen" obwohl an dem Eingang des Biergartens nichts darauf hinweisen ließ. Als wir das dem „Chef" zu verstehen geben wollten redet er weiter und lies uns während wir redeten einfach verachtend zurück. Das Essen konnte den Eindruck leider nicht verbessern: Für die Preise waren die Portionen sehr klein, und zusätzlich kam das Essen nur lauwarm bzw. teilweise schon kalt an den Tisch. Vermutlich wurde aus diesem Grund beim Bezahlen auch nicht gefragt wie es geschmeckt hat. Gerade in einem Biergarten erwartet man eigentlich eine gemütliche Atmosphäre und gutes, frisch serviertes Essen. Insgesamt stimmt hier das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis überhaupt nicht. Wir werden wahrscheinlich nicht noch einmal kommen.

Leider haben wir heute einen Kellner gehabt der komplett überfordert war. 20 Minuten bis zur Bestellaufnahme. 1 Sunde Wartezeit bis zum Essen. Alles leider lauwarm. Krautsalat mehr oder weniger als Nachspeise serviert. Lange trockene Wartezeiten ohne Getänkenachschub. Heute kein Aushängeschild für Augustiner. Sollten sich am Augustiner Keller mind. 5 Scheiben abschneiden. Schade ☹️

Hallo, zu unserem Bedauern müssen wir feststellen, daß die Speisekarte keine Abwechslung bietet. Es werden auch keine saisonellen Gerichte (derzeit z.B. Spargel) angeboten. Schade - dadurch wird es nach mehrmeligen Besuchen ziemlich langweilig

Ich bin eigentlich immer sehr gerne ins Stiftungsgasthaus Zum Gustl gegangen und habe die gemütliche Atmosphäre dort wirklich geschätzt. Umso mehr habe ich mich gefreut, letztes Jahr nach längerer Zeit wieder einmal vorbeizuschauen – leider war die Erfahrung diesmal etwas enttäuschend. Besonders im Biergarten hat sich einiges verändert, was ich schade finde. Bei der Selbstbedienung bekommt man keinen Schnitt mehr, was früher für mich einfach dazugehört hat. Auch die schönen Gläser, die dem Ganzen immer einen gewissen Charme verliehen haben, wurden offenbar durch schlichtere ersetzt. Das wirkt insgesamt weniger liebevoll als früher. Leider konnte auch das Bier geschmacklich nicht mehr ganz überzeugen – es war einfach nicht mehr so „der Hit“ wie ich es in Erinnerung hatte. Was ich ebenfalls ziemlich daneben finde: Auf dem Parkplatz kann man die Parkgebühren nur noch mit Karte zahlen. Gerade in so einem traditionellen Umfeld hätte ich mir hier etwas mehr Flexibilität gewünscht

Kein Ruß im Biergarten! Unfreundliche Mitarbeiter an Kasse und Ausgabe …

Wir waren heute im Gustl. Da wir gerne früher als zur reservierten Zeit kommen wollten, hatten wir gleich um 11 Uhr angerufen. Die freundliche Mitarbeiterin am Telefon hat versucht uns früher einen Tisch bereitzustellen. Das hat uns sehr gefreut. Vor Ort hatten wir heute jeweils eine Spargelsuppe und den gebratenen Lachs mit Risotto von der Mittagskarte. Beides war sehr lecker und von der Portion her ausreichend und wir waren gut satt. Die Bedienung am Tisch war ebenfalls wieder sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns rundum sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Mal ein Restaurant in dem man seltsamerweise nichts zum Mitnehmen bestellen kann 👎🏻.Sowas hat nichts mehr mit ,,Gast,,wirtschaft oder ,,Service,, zu tun.Dort zählt der (zu viel) zahlende Kunde offenbar wenig.

Unfortunately, there's only ever one vegan option on the menu. I'd go more often if you changed that. But otherwise, it's great.

Truly traditional cuisine and delicious food. Bavarian restaurant. Meat-heavy menu, but also options for vegetarians. Attentive service and on the pricier side. Reservations recommended for groups. Tables for two are always available.

We visited on one of the first nice Sundays in March. Orders were being taken outside, but unfortunately there were only four tables in the beer garden and three standing tables, which wasn't enough for the number of guests. A little more spontaneity regarding orders would have been nice; as it was, guests either had to stand around with their drinks or squeeze onto a wall.

Simply wonderful: I celebrated my 50th birthday at the "Zum Gustl" restaurant – a truly perfect experience. My special thanks go to Rafael, who made this perfect celebration possible for my family, all my guests, and me. The arrangements with Katharina were straightforward, quick, and based on trust, and everything was executed perfectly. The start in the bowling alley was super cozy, and the rustic, beautifully restored room was ideal for getting together. The celebration then continued in the restaurant. Fresh beer from the wooden keg and a lovely selection of snacks perfectly complemented the ambiance. The main courses were simply delicious. Our guests were thrilled with the atmosphere, the food, the drinks, and the outstanding service. The service from Saki and Tom was – as always – second to none. In short: The entire team at the "Zum Gustl" restaurant did a fantastic job and made this day so special for my guests and me. A clear recommendation for any celebration or occasion – we'll definitely be back!

Sitting in the beer hall at a huge table, enjoying good food and even better beer!

The place by now is so crowded that the service reacts rather condescending that you ignorant person have not booked a table. We managed in the end to squeeze in on a big table with other people. I would have expected this effort and a rather more warm welcome from the start with an old man in the group. For a Wirtshaus I expect less bookable tables, no seating needed and more openness to the common people. Anyway. The food was great. Good quality. 30€ for an Onion Roast is ok. My dad had the pork roast with a cabbage salad also a decent price.

Stunningly restored. Truly wonderful atmosphere. The food (onion roast beef) was excellent. The staff were all friendly and competent. The value for money is absolutely fair. Great value for money with top-quality dishes and drinks.

Very nice restaurant Bavarian style, delicious food, friendly staff, good prices. The beer is not expensive. However: The beer glasses are never full, sometimes 2cm or more below the measure line! That should certainly be changed, it's betrayal!

There was plastic packaging residue in the food. After complaining, the food was taken back, and when another beer was ordered, they said, "The first beer is on the house." So far, so good, that was fine. But the second beer was then filled to just below the fill line, about 1 cm below the fill line. Therefore, my rating: 6-

A highly recommended inn, located just outside the city to the west of Munich. It features a great beer garden, the food was delicious, and the service was good.

We were very disappointed with our visit. Although the weather was lovely and the outdoor area seemed ready, we were told that we could only order drinks in the beer garden, but no food. At the same time, the indoor area was completely packed, so there was nowhere to sit. We were told that the beer garden wouldn't be serving food until April 1st. That would have been understandable in principle, however, there were already several tables set up outside and drinks were being served – just no food. Given the beautiful weather and the impression that everything was prepared, this was difficult for us to comprehend. We even offered to get the food ourselves from inside and eat it outside so that the staff wouldn't have to do any extra work. Unfortunately, this was also refused. In addition, we found the service staff to be very unfriendly. We've been here several times in the past and had generally had good experiences, which is why this visit was particularly disappointing. Under these circumstances, we will not be returning.

I enjoyed my first beer outdoors. There weren't any chairs in the beer garden yet, but you could enjoy your drink at a standing table outside.

Yes and no 😉. Superbly renovated. Still a great, old-fashioned beer garden. With local guests and no tourists. With traditional dishes (I judge the quality by the Bavarian-fresh sausage salad... and it was superb) and great beer. I'm not Bavarian myself, but I've been going to Bavaria with my parents and grandparents for 60 years. I was hoping for Sauerbraten (cured pork lung), but it was the wrong time of year. I'm very disappointed with Bavarian restaurants these days. Everything is geared towards tourists and mainstream. It was different 20 years ago. Times change, but I'm glad that oases like this still exist. So, yes and no. I'm happy to give a good review, but I'd be glad if it remains an oasis. The service is incredibly good! We were given a table upstairs, a little off to the side, without a reservation, and were told it would take a while before we could be served. Despite this, our order was taken quickly and the food arrived very promptly. The dishes were all brought simultaneously – truly professional and top-notch! Both the vegetarian and meat dishes were perfectly prepared! Highly recommended, especially if you have guests; the ambiance makes it a great place to enjoy Bavarian cuisine!

Today I went to Gustl's with a friend. A beautiful restaurant with a delicious salad that we thoroughly enjoyed. The schnitzel with cranberries and lemon was especially tasty! We also had a delicious light non-alcoholic beer – and the evening was a complete success. The service was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back! Best regards and many thanks!

We went there for lunch. Pork tenderloin with Spätzle and mushroom sauce €10.90. It was tasty. The beer (Augustiner) was good as always. Sitting on the benches is worse than sitting on any church pew, since the backrests are completely upright.

What a shame. The service and ambiance were very good. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and quick. Unfortunately, the food was terrible. I had the venison leg. The meat was dry, the spaetzle were mushy, and there was practically no sauce. The kitchen forgot the Brussels sprouts. When I asked about them, they arrived mushy, presumably frozen, and microwaved. They were tasteless and watery. The Kaiserschmarren (shredded pancake) wasn't any better. No raisins. Soggy. And way too much cinnamon, which definitely doesn't belong there. With such awful food, I don't want to come back.

We've been there twice now! It's amazing how the Augustiner Brewery has renovated it. Every piece of interior decor is unique! Beautifully renovated. So much attention to detail. And the food is wonderful! You rarely find so much homemade and delicious food!! So fresh and good, we were very impressed. The service was fantastic too!!! We'll definitely be back.

Today, after a week of closure and despite days of unsuccessful attempts to call, I personally inquired about a table and received a curt reply that everything was full and whether we had made a reservation. They said it had been full for several days. When I suggested they could leave a message on their answering machine or post online, they just shrugged. That means this Augustiner won't be seeing me or my friends again anytime soon. What a shame.

The food was absolutely delicious! We tried several different dishes, and every one of them was great. We just wish the flavors were a bit spicier.

I ate at the Gasthaus zum Gustl, a restaurant run by the Stiftung (Foundation), as part of a belated Christmas party in January. The grounds are very well-maintained with a lovely interior. You are greeted warmly and shown to your table; reservations are definitely recommended. Unfortunately, we were seated in a small room next to a large group of men who were quite loud, making normal conversation difficult. The food was good, and they also offer vegetarian and vegan options. I found the prices to be very reasonable, the staff very friendly, and paying by card was no problem. The free parking lot is somewhat hidden in the back courtyard.

This inn has been here for over 100 years. I was delighted to see it freshly renovated and restored. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I'd call it upscale Bavarian cuisine. We'll be back!

The food was a complete disappointment. The salmon was dry. The risotto was utterly tasteless, probably because the orange sauce listed on the menu was missing. When I spoke to the waiter, he didn't seem very surprised. The old grounds, however, have been nicely renovated. Perhaps it deserves a second chance as a beer garden in the summer...
