Beef variations at their best! My beef short ribs were sensational with an excellent red wine reduction and perfect jacket potatoes and wild broccoli! Highly recommended! My four friends each ordered a different dish and were equally thrilled!

You shouldn't make a reservation; it's easier to leave the restaurant. The short, young waitress can't manage to get a drinks menu within 15 to 20 minutes. She wouldn't have a future in my business!!! The service at the Hotel Meintz, on the other hand, is simply commendable.

Highly recommended. The price-performance ratio is also very good 👍. Now comes the whining at a high level: the service employee (in training) delivered our orders to the neighboring table more than once. Therefore, it doesn't get the full number of stars. Nevertheless, we will return. It's simply too good for that.

An evening full of anticipation – ruined by a disrespectful chef We had reserved a table for seven people at 7:00 p.m. and wanted to enjoy the lovely evening with a meal together. We hadn't foreseen that this evening would have such a bitter aftertaste. We were initially irritated when ordering because I had chosen a menu with two appetizers. Instead of a professional response, we were immediately informed that the other guests would "have to wait a bit." A strange announcement, but we didn't let it spoil our mood. We placed our orders at 7:30 p.m.: three asparagus cream soups, two more appetizers, and the aforementioned menu. It took quite a while for the appetizers to arrive. Afterward, we moved inside, hoping for a pleasant evening. Far from it. The main courses didn't arrive until very late – in one case, not until 9:30 p.m. A simple salad as a main course after a two-hour wait is not only inappropriate, but simply outrageous. Nevertheless, we remained friendly, ordered more drinks, had conversations, and were actually in a good mood – until the manager, Mr. Bundschuh, came to our table. To our companion's polite criticism of the excessive wait, he responded in a manner one would never imagine in the restaurant industry. He literally said: "If someone orders a set meal, they're the king – the rest are screwed." A tone and attitude that are simply disrespectful and arrogant. When our companion reacted indignantly to this rude response, Mr. Bundschuh escalated completely and yelled at her to leave the restaurant immediately – and that he never wanted to see her there again. At this point, the glasses were still full, the meal was still unfinished, and dessert was missing. Without another word, the server came and took everyone's money – clearly on orders. We finished the meal in a completely subdued mood, ate dessert, and left the restaurant. The evening we had been looking forward to was ruined by a chef who apparently can neither handle criticism nor respond to it professionally. Anyone who treats guests this way has no place in the restaurant industry. One thing is clear to us: We'll never return – and we advise anyone who values ​​hospitality to find another restaurant.

Decided on the Flickenwerk on a short trip. Great location on the Main River. Super friendly chef, super friendly, professional staff. We had three delicious courses. The portions were more than adequate, and the price was totally reasonable for what you get. It hasn't been this good for a long time; the food is fresh and delicious. 😋

Top wedding venue. From the smooth preparation, to the excellent service, the highly praised food, and the beautiful and stylish atmosphere, we are completely thrilled and say THANK YOU. We celebrated with 85 people, started with coffee and cake on the terrace, had dinner in the conservatory, and danced on the dance floor and at the bar until late into the night.

We enjoyed the catering from Flockenwerk for our summer party. The food: 10/10. I've rarely eaten so well. A huge mix of salads, cold appetizers, juicy and tender grilled meats, and plenty of vegetarian delicacies. The service: 11/10. ;) We highly recommend the team! We went for dinner. The food was good, but the modern air conditioning wasn't activated, even though the temperature in the dining room felt like 38 degrees Celsius. We left the restaurant after an hour, drenched in sweat, with the recommendation that the dining room climate be improved in the future. It's also about the health of the guests.

The location is good. The service was friendly, but a bit clumsy. The fish curry was missing the shrimp, and the sea bass and zander were dead; they had been cored at over 60 degrees. The other dish wasn't particularly good either.

We went for breakfast yesterday for the second time. In March, everything was great, and yesterday it was a flop. The quality of the food has deteriorated, and there wasn't even a proper orange juice. The service was so bad, they didn't clear the table, or they couldn't find our table. It was nothing like the first time. It's a real shame.

Food and service are very good; we will be back

We wanted to reserve a table for dinner on a Sunday around 3 p.m. Two young employees stood a meter away from us, the counter between us. No "Hello" or "I'll be right with you." We were simply ignored while the two engaged in animated conversation while taking care of small tasks. After a few minutes, we left. Very unprofessional, especially in times of a shortage of skilled workers. We were actually quite satisfied here in the past. Then, not so much.

This was the second time we've been to Flockenwerk for dinner with four people. Both times, the food was excellent. Kudos to the kitchen. 👍🏻 The service is very attentive and always very friendly. The chef always makes every effort to ensure that all guests are completely satisfied. A true restaurateur. 👍🏻 If we're in the area, we'll be happy to come back.

We celebrated our wedding here. The staff was fantastic, as was the food. The adjoining room was perfect for our 25 guests, and all our requests were accommodated flexibly and promptly. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

The food was okay, but the quantity and price didn't really match up. The location was stylish, but not particularly inviting. The staff was friendly and attentive, but it seemed to me that there were quite a few temporary employees working there.

We were there for a family celebration. Roast beef was overcooked and the portion was too small. The snacks were left in the sun and were already being eaten by flies. Price/performance ratio for the portion of roast beef was outrageous. I cannot recommend it. Conditions were sometimes too much.

We went there for breakfast twice, and everything from the location to the service to the food was excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

While passing through, we stopped for a break at the RV parking lot in front of the restaurant. We had the best ice cream of our lives! The atmosphere is very relaxed...maybe not everyone can handle that! Modern, clean ambiance. Also great for sitting outside!

We have been to the Flackenwerk several times now, both for coffee/cake, as well as at a wedding and for regular dinner. It was great every time! The food is very, very tasty and the portions are decent. Small but nice bonus: The boss always comes by all the tables, greets the people and asks if everything is to their satisfaction. We think it’s a great gesture! :-) We'd love to come back.

This is not restaurant although it says Restaurant in their name. Just a coffee place until 17:00. Then their restaurant parts opens. In case you drive by and want to eat something, don’t come here. And although i told the lady that they need to update their google definition (otherwise people may drive here to expect a lunch), she behaved stubborn and said no our website is correct. !:(

This was my second time at the Flackenwerk for breakfast. Last time there was still the option to choose and different prices, so now it's a buffet and a flat rate of 23.50€€€! The buffet is then spread over 4 tables, a counter with spreads, sausages, cheese, fruit and yoghurt. 1 egg table (raw eggs have to be cooked here!), cold drinks at the counter, bread elsewhere. Even though this of course spreads out the people, it seems cobbled together. By the way, bread offer: mini croissants, each light and grainy baguette, mini grain rolls and 1 retail bread - well. The price includes 1 Secco, which everyone would have to drink at least to get something close to the flat rate price. Coffee/tea, drinks are bottomless. Just drink a lot ;-) In any case, I miss the loving etagere with breakfast for 2 people.

Went there for coffee on Sunday from 2 p.m., the line in front of the cake counter stretched through half the restaurant! Had to wait in line for about 25 minutes?! I couldn't even think of a second coffee! Maybe you should rethink the concept, it doesn't work that way!

Great restaurant in Ochsenfurt with fine cuisine. A great ambience was conjured up from the old shabby building. Above all, the seasonal offers are surprisingly good.

Have been there for dinner and now also for breakfast. Basically not bad, but simply poor value for money. If you deducted 3 to 5 € everywhere it wouldn't be as bad. Dinner was tasty and good, but just a few euros too expensive. When it comes to breakfast, I'm not prepared to pay €23.50 for the selection and quality on offer. What doesn't work at all are the scrambled eggs (some kind of inedible egg mixture, but it has nothing to do with scrambled eggs). Before you serve something like that, it's better not to do anything at all. You have to be lucky when it comes to service, most of them are friendly, but there are also some who have no business being in service.

Im liebevoll umgebaut und eingerichteten ehemaligen Kartoffelflockenwerk wurden wir überaus freundlich empfangen. An einem schön eingedeckten Tisch wurde uns gleich zum fränkischen Haussecco der Gruß aus der Küche (Humus mit diversen frischen Brotsorten) serviert. Als Vorspeisen folgten Rotkohlslaw, Garnelen und Pimientos auf hübsch angerichteten Tellern. Zur Hauptspeise aßen wir die Ochsenbacke (war "mit dem Löffel" zu schneiden), das Roastbeef (auf den Punkt rosa), den Wolfsbarsch (auf Haut gebraten mit ausgezeichnetem Orangenrisotto) und Burger (saftig!, die Trüffelmayo zu den Pommes vorzüglich). Alle Hauptspeisen waren mehr als reichlich und von knackigem Gemüse begleitet. Der aufmerksame Service sorgte für stets gefüllte Gläser (vielfältige regionale und internationale Weine sowie Biere von lokalen Brauereien). Zum Dessert konnten wir leider "nur" noch Eis und Sorbet genießen (u.a. Kamille-gesalzener Honig). Wir waren mit dem fürsorglichen Personal und den fein abgeschmeckten Gerichten sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

No matter whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner: everything is always delicious! The massage chairs in front of the toilets are awesome 😀. Only four stars because the prices were sometimes too high and the lack of cleanliness (e.g. crumbs in the cracks in the chairs or benches).

Great location. We each had 3 courses, all of which were delicious. The size of the dishes is good, you will definitely be full and you don't just have small schi-schi dishes. In summer you can sit nicely on the terrace. Highly recommended for special occasions

Wir waren zum ersten Mal beim Sonntags Brunchen -der Empfang von Herrn Bundschuh war sehr herzlich & uns wurde der Ablauf des Brunchs detailliert erklärt. Der Weitere Verlauf war Reibungslos & das Essen war auf ein paar Kleinigkeiten sehr gut - große Auswahl & viele Leckereien. Auch auf Nachfrage, wurde Kritik von Herrn Bundschuh freundlich angenommen & auf Besserung in der Zukunft geschworen - vielen Dank hierfür. Leider gab es aber auch einen sehr unangenehmen Aspekt des Besuchs im Flockenwerk - eine Sercvicekraft die uns sehr unangenehm aufgefallen war. Über Diskussionen am Tisch über die Ausschilderung über das Essen & nicht ausgewiesene Inhalte, bis hin zu den kompletten Stuhlsatz quer über den Boden lautstark zu schleifen & ein Gesichtsausdruck an den Tag zu legen als würde ihr ihr Job keine große Freude bringen oder die Anwesenheit der Gäste sauer aufstoßen. Der krönende Abschluss war dann, dass sie sich darüber echauffierte, dass Sie nun alle Gutscheine einzeln eingeben müsste & darüber war sie definitiv nicht erfreut. Hier ist definitiv noch viel Luft nach oben Im großen & Ganzen waren wir sehr zufrieden mit dem Besuch, aber diesem wird so schnell kein Weiterer Folgen.

I was with my Secco girls for our end-of-year meeting for the breakfast buffet at the Flackenwerk. I honestly shouldn't judge the food. My diet is vegetarian and I am histamine intolerant. A really nasty combination. What I could eat was good. My girls were very satisfied. One thing really impressed me - the acoustics. The store was very busy, not to say packed. Nevertheless, we were able to have a great conversation. We didn't have to yell at each other - it was great!

Wir wollten mit diesem Besuch den Geburtstag meines Mannes feiern und waren sehr zufrieden. Das Essen und auch der Service sehr gut. Trotzdem wollen wir eine Anregung machen nämlich zu den Fleischmahlzeiten ein Steakmesser zu geben. Die gewählten Desserts, Crème brulée und Blutorangensorbet waren ein Hit. Wir werden wiederkommen

Wir waren zum Silvester-Galadinner und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Für uns hat alles gut gepasst. Zunächst bekamen wir ein Glas Secco zum Empfang und wurden vom Chef persönlich begrüßt. Danach wurden wir an unseren Tisch begleitet. Der Gruß aus der Küche stand schon auf dem Tisch. Jetzt wurde durch das Personal die Getränkewünsche aufgenommen. Dadurch dass sehr viele Leute ein Getränk bestellt hatten, konnte das für den Ein oder Anderen etwas länger dauern. Bei uns ging es sehr flott obwohl ich einen Cocktail bestellt hatte. Dann wurden so nach und nach alle Gänge serviert. Uns hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Ein großes Lob an die Küche, dass das Essen für alle sehr schnell serviert werden konnte. Das Personal war sehr Aufmerksam, hat mehrfach Brot und Getränke nachgeliefert. Vor dem Dessert gab es noch eine kurze Ansprache durch den Chef des Hauses vor dem versammelten Personal des Hauses. Wir waren dann so mit allem gute 4 Stunden mit Genießen beschäftigt, die Zeit verging wie im Fluge. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Unser erster Besuch hat uns sehr gefallen! Gute Essensauswahl,schònes Ambiente, Top Service und eine große, sehr fair kalkulierte Weinauswahl ! Jederzeit wieder!

We went to brunch at the Flackenwerk with prior registration with two vegans. Brunch selection: - Fruit and coconut yogurt - far too dry chocolate spread - 1-3 salads and potato salad Unfortunately we weren't thrilled with the selection. Margarine and 1-2 spreads would have been enough for us. Antipasti was served with cheese, so that was omitted for us. We're used to the fact that there's often not that much choice, but we've never experienced anything like this before... When we made the reservation we were promised that it wouldn't be a problem and that there would of course be a decent vegan selection. For the main course there was a small buffet where only unseasoned cauliflower was vegan. When we asked, TWO of us got six tiny falafels. For dessert there was a sorbet, which we could eat. In general, dishes were not labeled properly and there were generally no allergen information. Unfortunately, we are very disappointed and will therefore avoid the Flackenwerk in the future.

Very nice, would love to come back. The queue for sausage, fish and cheese was a bit long and should perhaps be reconsidered.

The boss and service staff are always really friendly here and it's just very cozy. The food is fantastic and the regional wine rounds everything off nicely. Thank you for the wonderful evenings so far and there are certainly more to come 😀

We had a very nice evening at the Flackenwerk. The food was very good, the service attentive and friendly. The only downside: as a passionate beer drinker, the beer selection is disastrous. A few beers from the local industrial breweries Kauzen and Oechsner and nothing else. In addition, there are over 60 regional, national and international wines. It's a shame that so little attention is paid to the cultural drink of beer in the flake factory. Although I give it 5 stars, I certainly won't be coming back because I would like to accompany my meal with a good beer instead of still water.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Teilweise professionelles Servicepersonal, teilweise schwierig. Essen hat Luft nach oben. Wenn eine lächelnde Servicekraft das bestellte Bier einem an die Tischkante rechts neben das Besteck stellt, sich ohne ein Wort zu sagen, umdreht und das leere Glas stehen lässt, dann ist das nicht in Ordnung. Oder einfach die Getränke am Tisch abstellt und nicht fragt, wer was bestellt hat, dann wird es schwierig. Der Burger - sehr gut, nur leider zu viel der gesmokten Burgersosse. Wunderbar Medium und interessante Pommes. Mit Leicht geröstetem Parmesan darüber. Mir hat es geschmeckt. Nur der Preis und die Größe des Burgers dazu, das passt nicht. Immerhin wurden 23€ aufgerufen. Der Flockernwerksalat hatte ein gutes Dressung und die Portion war groß. Die rote Beter Gnocci waren hervorragend, aber die Portionsgrösse war eher eine Kinderportion. Entweder beim Preis oder der Portionsgrösse nacharbeiten. Erstaunlich, dass kurz vor Weihnachten noch reichlich freie Plätze vorhanden waren.

Die Rote-Beete-Gnocchi sind mega. Dürfte bloß etwas mehr Ziegenkäse sein. Alle Gerichte gigantisch toll angerichtet. Leider mittlerweile sehr teuer geworden, aber der tollen Küche durchaus noch angemessen.

Immer wieder gerne. Schönes gemütliches Restaurant, gute Küche, noch bessere Weine. Ein immer freundliches Personal.

Ich war mehrmals dort zum Frühstück. Die Qualität ist massiv gesunken. Die Qualität der Waren und die Vielfalt läßt extrem zu wünschen übrig. Im Umfeld gibt es mehrere Alternativen, die Vielfalt und Qualität zu besseren Preisen bieten. Die Betreiber sollten sich Gedanken machen, wie sie ihren Ruf nicht verlieren.
