Öchsle - fränkisch genießen in Ochsenfurt

Essen war sehr lecker. Service wirkte was unorganisiert. Leider ist das ganze Ambiente, insbesondere der eigentlich nette Biergarten was unordentlich und wirkt wenig einladend. Da wir aber zum Essen da waren, und da sehr lecker war, noch vier Sterne.

Essen wo die Einheimischen hingehen, da schmeckt es uns! Der Metzger um die Ecke liefert die Wurst, der Wein und das Bier kommen aus der Umgebung/Region. Wo gibt es solch einen Traditionsbewusstsein noch? Hier, kommt und testet. LG Inka

Super lecker 😋 Wir waren, während unseres Kurzurlaubs, gleich an drei Tagen hintereinander beim Öchsle essen, weil es uns so gut geschmeckt hat! Das Essen ist hervorragend (das Schäufele und die Schnitzel- yummi) und das Wirtspaar hat sich viel Zeit für Ausflugtipps genommen. Auch die Bedienung war äußerst zuvorkommend. Besonders der schöne Biergarten im Hinterhof mit den großen Bäumen hatte es uns angetan - wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wir wollten dem oechsle in ochsenfurt eine zweite Chance geben. Aber was soll ich sagen, es hat sich leider nichts gebessert. Wir waren zu viert und sind uns einig, dass wir schon lange nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen haben. Das enttäuschendste, war aber nicht mal das fürchterliche Essen, sondern dass die Chefin darauf angesprochen in keinster Weise darauf eingegangen ist. Schade. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Obwohl wir (2 Personen) für unsere Reservierung am Sonntag ein paar Minuten zu spät kamen, wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und unserem Platz zugewiesen. Wir wählten Schäufele und Jägerschnitzel. Die Portionen waren üppig und schmeckten hervorragend. Auch die Selbstbedienung an der Salatbar finden wir eine prima Alternative. Zu Beginn legten wir unseren Schlemmerblock vor, der anstandslos akzeptiert wurde. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Die angepriesene "fränkische Küche" hat uns ins Öchsle gelockt. Tatsächlich wurden wir dort fündig. Und - natürlich - man muss dann auch mal was riskieren und sich ins Unbekannte trauen. Haben wir gemacht - und wir wurden belohnt. Also. Beim ersten Mal waren es Fränkische Weinbratwürste und ein Fränkischer Flammkuchen: mit Sauerkraut und Bratwurst auf Brizza Laugenteig. Na hallo, wenn das mal nicht eine außergewöhnliche Kombination ist. Aber: Beides hat sich gelohnt, aber hallo. Hinzu kam eine Ochsenfurter Spezialität: Bier aus einer der beiden ortsansässigen Brauereien. Auch echt lecker. Es wundert nun nicht, dass dieser Einstieg Lust auf mehr machte. Es deutete sich schon an, was als nächstes ausprobiert werden muss: Ochsenbäckchen, klassisch mit Klößen und Blaukraut, wie man hier im Fränkischen sagt. Das war dann heute der Fall. Das Ochsenbäckchen war tatsächlich vom Feinsten, will sagen: es zerfiel unter der Gabel, das Messer wurde nicht gebraucht. Klöße, Rotkraut (so sagt man bei uns) und Soße waren genauso lecker lecker lecker. Immer wieder schade, wenn der Teller dann leer ist. Leider, und das ist der Haken an der Geschichte, fahren wir morgen nach Hause. Wir werden also nicht erfahren, was sich hinter den anderen fränkischen Spezialitäten im Öchsle verbirgt. Die müsst Ihr nun selber auskundschaften.

Radfahrer! Ein paar Meter mehr durchs Städtchen lohnen sich! Blaue Zipfel, Brot und Leiterle großartig. Schäufele solide. Müller- Thurgau top, Bier gut, super Wirtsleute und das alles mit klarer regionaler Handschrift. Was will man mehr 😃

Sehr gutes Essen bei großen Portionen, gerne wieder 😋

Wir waren heute zu 5 essen. Die Gerichten war sehr lecker und eine ordentliche Portion. Die Tagliatelle mit Garnele Spargel und Sauce Hollandaise haben sehr gut geschmeckt und ist ein besonderes Gericht. Unsere zwei Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Biergarten ist sehr ruhig im Innenhof.

Wir haben zu viert dort gegessen und waren alle sehr begeistert. Ein tolles Salatbuffet und sehr gute Hauptgerichte. Vielen Dank für die tolle Bewirtung und den Hinweis auf den Biergarten. Diesen werden wir bei besserem Wetter gerne besuchen.

Als ich die vorherigen Bewertungen gelesen habe, dachte ich heute Morgen:" Na ob die Idee so gut ist hier Essen zu gehen?" Heute Mittag waren wir dann zu viert im Oechsle essen. Wir hatten 3x die Ochsenbäckchen und das fränkische Schnitzel und zum Nachtisch verschieden Eissorten. Es war alles super und hat auch hervorragend geschmeckt! Auch der Service war toll und wir wurden 2x gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist! Wir können das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen und geben deshalb 5 Sterne! Was mit den Schlechtbewertern hier nicht stimmt das wissen wir nicht! Wir wissen nur, dass die Schlechtbewerter einen schlechten Charakter haben! Wenn etwas nicht passt dann kann man es gleich sagen, vielleicht kann man es ja dann noch ändern. Es ist aber unterste Schublade zu sagen, dass alles okay ist und gibt dann daheim eine schlechte Bewertung oder bezeichnet es als Katastrophe. Besser diese Leute kochen daheim selber aber das kann man dann bestimmt nicht essen! 😉 Wir können das Oechsle nur weiterempfehlen! Weiter so! ❤️

Bester Sauerbraten den wir jemals im Restaurant gegessen haben. Herzliche Gastgeber. Nette Atmosphäre. Auch mit dem Schlemmerblock hat es gut geklappt. Wir kommen wieder.

Essen war top! Personal war top! Lediglich der Gastraum hat nicht so ganz meinen Geschmack getroffen.... aber es ist rin kleines Feines Restaurant wir werden wieder kommen.

Das Öchsle mitten in der Stadt ist eine fränkische Originalkneipe. Trotz vollem Haus nach dem Kino warteten wir nicht lange. Die Flammkuchen sind urig serviert, geschmacklich perfekt und preislich sehr interessant. Die typisch fränkischen Gerichte meiner Begleiter in der Gruppe war ebenso positivst! Dass sich die sympathische Chefin am Ende noch Zeit nahm, mit uns über Fußball, Franken und den Club zu plaudern, zeigt den Geist des Öchsle.

Sehr leckeres Essen (auch viele vegetarische Optionen) und freundliches Personal. Auch gut für Kinder geeignet :)

Fränkisch genießen? Fränkisch ja, genießen leider eher nicht! Schon lange, zumindest in einem Restaurant, nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen. Das gilt jedenfalls für die Hauptgerichte wie Ente und Schäufele. Flammkuchen waren da besser. Optisch insbesondere der Nachtisch, alles top, geschmacklich leider nicht zu empfehlen (natürlich unsere subjektive Meinung). Enten zwar knusprig, aber die Soße, wovon ein Gericht lebt, sehr fade und nicht mal entfernt nach Geflügelsoße bzw. "geflügeltypisch" geschmeckt. Schäufele ähnlich. Klöße waren ganz OK. Blaukraut leider auch total fade. Tomatensuppe ganz OK. Das beste, optisch und geschmacklich, waren die Desserts. Wir werden da sicherlich kein zweites Mal dort einkehren. Schade. Ergänzung: Ihre willkürlich vorgenommene 6:3 Regelung der beiden Schlemmerblöcke, die nicht korrekt war und auch nicht dem entsprochen hat was ihre Servicekraft festgelegt hatte, hat absolut nichts mit meiner Bewertung zu tun, sonst hätte ich das geschrieben! Ich oder meine Gäste hätten auch getrennt zahlen können umd dann wäre, wie es Ihre Servicekraft ausdrücklich wünschte, für 6 Personen mit 2:1 und 4:2 abgerechnet werden können bzw. müssen. 6:3 gibt es in den Bedingungen nicht! Aber das spiegelt leider eindeutig Ihr Verständnis von Kundenservice, ausschließlich zu Ihren Gunsten, wieder. Sie können jedoch versichert sein, dass ich Ihre "Gastfreundschaft" nicht noch einmal, nicht mal komplett umsonst, in Anspruch nehmen werde! Dieser Geburtstag wird mir und meinen Gästen noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben. Viel Erfolg und beste Grüße

Wir waren gestern aufgrund des Schlemmerblocks zum ersten und letzten Mal zu Besuch. Hätten wir uns die vielen negativen Einträge im Vorfeld angesehen, dann hätten wir mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit ein anderes Lokal ausgewählt. Wir können den ganzen negativen Rezessionen nur beipflichten. Sei es "Essen war nicht gewürzt", "Dieses Gericht ist leider aus", "ein viel zu kalter Gastraum", "das Ambiente ist eine Katastrophe".....etc. Ein einziger Lichtblick ist der junge Mitarbeiter im Service.... Das war es dann aber auch schon. Ich selbst weiß, was es heißt fränkisch zu kochen. Der/die Koch/in vor Ort, weiß es allerdings nicht. Als Gastronom hat man es sicherlich nicht immer leicht und mit sehr vielen anstrengenden Charakteren zu tun, aber bei soviel negativer Kritik, die sich hier in den Kommentaren immer widerspiegelt, sollte man vielleicht versuchen das Gewerbe zu wechseln. Sorry, aber mit fränkischer gutbürgerlicher Küche hat das absolut überhaupt nichts zu tun. Der oder die Inhaber/in braucht mir auch nicht antworten. Ich kann mir die Antwort bereits aus all den anderen negativen Kommentaren denken. "Personalmangel, zu viel los, würzen ist Geschackssache," etc.

Waren heute zum ersten mal im Öchsle zum Essen. Laut Karte und Schlemmerblock hatten wir uns gute Fränkische Küche erhofft. Aber wir waren dort definitiv nur einmal. Mein Essen "Schwarzbier-Gulasch" war nicht genießbar. Es sah aus wie ein Teller Nudeln mit einem Klecks Chappi oben drauf. Als hätte man Fleisch im Vakuumbeutel erwärmt und über verkochte Nudeln gegeben. Soße und Geschmack waren Fehlanzeige. Das Schnitzel schmeckte leider auch nach altem Fett. Lediglich Pommes und Klöße waren in Ordnung. Das Schäuferle meines Mannes hatte zumindest eine knusprige Kruste. Schade, dass man Essen so ausgibt.

War sehr lecker. Finde es sehr frech wie hier in den Rezensionen zum Teil Versucht wird den Laden schlecht dastehen zu lassen in dem man ZWEIMAL mit unterschiedlichen Profilen die selbe Erfahrung bewertet (K.Baum) weil einem etwas nicht so schmeckt. Ich komme aufjedenfall gerne wieder. :)

Sehr leckeres Essen, tolles Ambiente und nette Bedienung

Wir sind um 14:15 Uhr gekommen und nach etwas mehr als 1,5 Stunden ohne etwas zu essen gegangen. Nach 45 Minuten hatten wir wenigstens unsere Getränke. Der Gastraum war kalt und die Toiletten hatten knapp über Außentemperatur. Nachdem wir unser bestelltes Essen nicht bekommen haben (nach knapp einer Stunde haben wir erfahren, dass es zwei der bestellten Gerichte nicht mehr gibt worauf wir zwei Alternativen bestellten). Die Örtlichkeit ist eigentlich Recht schön und die paar ausgelieferten Essen sahen auch gut aus, leider haben keines bekommen. Die eigentliche Katastrophe ist der Service. Auf Nachfragen wurde uns meist pampig mit Personalmangel geantwortet. Kein Verständnis und kein Wort der Entschuldigung, es wurden nur Ausflüchte und Ausreden vorgebracht, zudem wurde uns erklärt, dass das nunmal so sei. Wir waren bei weitem nicht die einzigen unzufriedenen Gäste an dem Tag. Schräg gegenüber beim Dönerladen war übrigens alles bestens und ging schnell.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder! Vor allem das Schnitzel können wir sehr empfehlen.

Essen ist perfekt. Wir hatten Sauerbraten und Winzernudeln. Und alles war hervorragend.

Food was very good and good value for money... would gladly come again....

We were at the Öchsle in Ochsenfurt on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 5 p.m. It was truly a disaster! Many ingredients/dishes were "out of stock" and unavailable, which we only found out after ordering (if at all). This was the same thing we noticed at many tables around us. I had ordered venison frikadellen (venison meatballs) with bread dumplings and savoy cabbage (€24!!). I received the dish in the photo – with the succinct note upon serving, "Sorry, savoy cabbage was out of stock today, I just found out about that!" I immediately said I was totally disappointed, as I was really looking forward to savoy cabbage, which was primarily why I chose the dish, and even asked beforehand if it came with a dark sauce, which was confirmed. I received dumplings with root vegetables (from a packet). The bread dumplings were extremely oversalted and impossible to eat! I also told the waiter this – the response was: "Sorry, it's not my fault. I hope not all the bread dumplings here are oversalted today." At our table, another dish with bread dumplings was also oversalted. My friend had the beef ladder with steakhouse fries (also for €24). Both dishes, in terms of quality and presentation, fell short of expectations for this price. The fries, for example, were drowned in a thin sauce. Homemade red cabbage was missing here; it was apparently out of stock, too. We politely expressed our disappointment, something we don't normally do. In the end, we had to pay the entire bill!! The chef and service were definitely not professional! We certainly won't be coming here again and can't recommend it to anyone!

We've been here twice in the last few days and were impressed by the rustic ambiance and friendly service. There's a weekly special and a menu that's not overly elaborate. The Schäufele (shoulder of pork) is especially recommended for pork lovers. Everything was just perfect, from the crispy rind to the tender meat! Unfortunately, we won't be in the area long enough to try any more dishes. You should reserve a table. Many locals also clearly appreciate the good food. The beer and wine were also very tasty. We'll be happy to stop by again and let ourselves be pampered!

The atmosphere was very cozy, the staff super friendly and cheerful, and the food was delicious. We'd love to come back, even if it's a bit of a drive from Güntersleben.

Super friendly staff and owners. Incredibly delicious food (very tender and flavorful meat, delicious tarte flambée). The menu is a blend of traditional dishes and modern influences. Very family-friendly and even offers a huge selection of toys for guests (in the dining room in the adjacent building).

We were guided by the positive reviews and made a reservation for the evening. The ox cheeks we ordered, which were supposed to be juicy and tender, were firm, tough, and dry, and hadn't been braised for long at all. Due to its sinewy and stringy texture, it was beef shoulder. We had to criticize the goulash dish because it was less than a child's portion of meat. After complaining, they replaced it with goulash. The tarte flambée with Camembert and walnuts was good. In our opinion, it was unprofessional that a new waitress was trained and practically "shown off" by the manager in front of the packed restaurant. This could be done differently and better. We cannot currently offer a recommendation.

The excellent reviews prompted me to reserve a table for dinner. The welcome and assignment to our table in the so-called beer garden were friendly. We were also able to place our order relatively quickly. Unfortunately, that sums up all the positive aspects of this evening. For my starter, I ordered a blue Zipfel sausage. As a native of Nuremberg, I have some experience with this dish. I received a completely unseasoned and therefore extremely flavorless sausage in a flavorless broth. Later, I learned that the sausage was made in-house. When I asked about the lack of salt and other spices (e.g., herbs), the manager told me that herbs had "no place" in a bratwurst and that she used very little salt. In conclusion, she stands behind her almost flavorless product. For my main course, I chose chanterelle mushroom ragout with dumplings. Again, there was no salt, this time completely. Unfortunately, the bread dumplings were almost mushy, but also very lightly seasoned. When the waiter asked me how it tasted, I truthfully replied that it was the worst chanterelle stew I've ever had (age: 72), even though the chanterelles were noticeably of good quality. I decided not to have dessert. Bottom line: once and definitely never again. What I really wonder, though, is how the excellent reviews came about.

The many, quite positive reviews recently led us to the Öchsle. Did we just have a "bad day," or is it always like this here? Because "GOOD" definitely tastes different. But let's start with the ambiance; as we all know, eating isn't just about the eye. Perhaps they should just clean up the courtyard and take away the trash. As for the food: My husband had Blaue Zipfl (a kind of sausage) as an appetizer. The sausages came in a completely tasteless broth, and the sausages had no salt, no seasoning, nothing at all. The main course: bread dumplings with chanterelle ragout: The bread dumplings had been sitting in hot water for a long time, the sauce was a flavorless flour mush, and the chanterelles, good quality but also completely tasteless. When the waitress asked us if we enjoyed our meal, we answered truthfully. The cook herself came to our table and explained to us that she deliberately uses very little salt and that absolutely no seasoning belongs in sausages. We were quite surprised. The restaurant makes its own sausages, and, according to the chef, deliberately uses no spices. The Franconian cuisine is hearty and delicious, not so much at Öchsle. Definitely never again!

Seven of us dined at the Öchsle. We enjoyed the food immensely.

We went there for dinner again after a year. The food had gotten a lot worse. The pasta was so cheap, the goulash seemed like goulash from a jar from a local butcher. The bread dumplings were made with breadcrumbs not sliced ​​bread, the dumplings were as fine and firm as tennis balls. The chicken was dry and fibrous. You had to go through the private rooms to get to the beer garden. The salad buffet had brown carrot sticks and the rocket had dried out from the sun. The owners' personal belongings were next to the salad buffet. The whole restaurant was untidy. After I mentioned the problems, I was no longer served and had to ask three times before someone came to pay.

The owner and his team are very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious and the portions were generous, even with the gourmet block. We'd be happy to return.

Very tasty shoulder of pork and ox cheeks. Red cabbage was a bit bland. Good value for money. Nice interior. The outside area/beer garden could be made a bit more inviting. There were a lot of tree leaves on the ground.

I hate to say it, but the beer garden, as well as the dining room and the path to the beer garden, have apparently been neglected for some time. We felt it was dirty and unkempt. When my companion mentioned this, she was treated very harshly and rudely. The service was very friendly, the food was good... but once and never again. SORRY, but as a guest, you don't have to put up with plums for the sake of the ambiance.

Tucked away around the corner of the pedestrian street is an unassuming restaurant. Walking inside, a very nice woman is standing at the stove, and, as it turns out, she's preparing delicious meals. Whether inside or in the small beer garden under the linden trees, a visit is highly recommended.

The Öchsle has a small, lovely beer garden in the back courtyard, accessible through the somewhat chaotic hallway—which lends the place a certain charm. But it's the owner who adds the charm, above all! He gave us lots of great tips for things to do in the area and told us a bit about the history of the Öchsle. Very nice and interesting, we highly recommend it—and the food, too, by the way☺️

A beautiful courtyard, completely hidden but very quiet, where you can enjoy your meal in comfort. The food was also very tasty, and the prices and portions were reasonable.

I was at the Öchsle on July 24th shortly after 6:00 PM and wanted to eat a Schäufele (pork shoulder). They have a great beer garden and a cozy dining room. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great, so I stayed inside. The very friendly waitress told me that the Schäufele would take about 40 minutes to cook. I passed the time with a delicious Ochsenfurter Pils. The Schäufele was sensational and probably the best I've ever eaten! (see photo) The crust was so crispy and the meat was tender and cooked through. It was rounded off with two delicious potato dumplings and red cabbage. I'll definitely be back.

The shoulder of pork was amazing! We didn't pre-order and still got a seat. Very friendly service. We'd go back anytime!

A very nice, family-run restaurant. The atmosphere is casual and pleasant. The food is very tasty – truly freshly cooked. I arrived relatively late – 9 p.m. – and the dumpling water had already been thrown away. So I switched from my original request of ox cheeks with red cabbage and dumplings to Franconian vineyard bratwurst snail with fried potatoes. I enjoyed that too. The menu is very attractively presented, and the wine was also very good. I'll definitely be back.

My meal was good (potato rösti with fresh chanterelles), the sausage roll was cold and the winegrower's noodles were a disgrace and it wasn't noodles with sauce but sauce and a handful of noodles

We went for lunch with a group of motorcyclists and made a last-minute reservation. Everything exceeded our expectations. Fantastic Franconian cuisine and super friendly service. We'd love to come back!

2025 Update As repeat visitors, our path led us back to the Öchsle. And something has changed. A wonderful, cozy beer garden with shady trees creates a feel-good atmosphere. The food is as good as always, and the drinks are brought quickly. The staff is friendly and always concerned about the well-being of the guests, and a great manager who has everything under control. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back. 2024 After a year, we returned to the Öchsle. Like last time, we were a group of 10. The food was a feast for the palate. Salads, tarte flambée, bratwurst, ox cheeks, shoulder of pork, and much more, all to our complete satisfaction. A friendly manager and excellent service rounded off a lovely evening. 2023 We went to dinner with a group of 10 people. The dishes on offer were typical Franconian cuisine. The dishes were served promptly so everyone could eat at the same time and tasted excellent! The outdoor area could be a bit more inviting. Otherwise, everything was really good!

We were at the Öchsle with a bus group. Due to our size, we were split between two dining rooms. We had pre-ordered through the bus company. The food we ordered was good to very good, but there were a few minor issues with the service: A second drink order wasn't possible at some tables; the salad buffet system was somewhat unconventional. We can definitely recommend the restaurant, though.

We drove to the area for a short break, and when we arrived at 9 p.m., we were still looking for a restaurant because we were hungry and all the shops were already closed. Everywhere we went, they said the kitchen was already closed, but here they were still able to offer us simple dishes, which we found very nice.

We were able to take a break from our bike ride today in the newly opened garden. The host is very friendly, the service excellent, and the tarte flambée delicious. Mixed feelings. Service was very polite but seemed a bit disorganized/disorganized. Goulash was very tasty. Unfortunately, the shoulder of pork lacked a proper crust and could have used a bit more sauce. We went with the gourmet block, so the price was reasonable.

We've been here several times and the food has always been good. A seasonal daily menu is available. The beer garden in the courtyard is now open; it's very quiet, with a lovely ambiance, both shady and sunny spots. Friendly service. We're always happy to come back.

The food was simply delicious – authentic Franconian and of outstanding quality. You can taste the fresh ingredients and passion in every bite. In addition to the excellent cuisine, we would also like to highlight the service. The staff was excellent from start to finish: attentive, friendly, and very accommodating. We felt very well looked after. An absolute highlight is the beautiful, romantic beer garden in the courtyard. It's the perfect place to linger, especially on balmy evenings. Here you can fully enjoy the food and the atmosphere. For us, the Öchsle is an absolute must in Ochsenfurt – whether for a cozy evening for two or with friends. We'll definitely be back!

Nice atmosphere and good cuisine, regional and seasonal.

Were there recently. Very small menu - 3 main courses. The service was friendly but not very attentive. I had ordered Ochsenbäckle and unfortunately I only got a kind of roast beef. But it wasn't all a hassle. The prices are in the upper midfield. I certainly won't come again

The Öchsle has a new beer garden!!! We read the signs, but didn't really know where to go at first... But we were shown very nicely through the restaurant and found a wonderful beer place in the back!!!! Very nice hosts! We'd love to come back!

We ordered lunch catering for 20 people for our son's confirmation and were thrilled! I felt like I was in good hands when putting together the personal menu on site, especially since our request for lactose-free food was not a problem at all. And on confirmation day, the food arrived fresh, hot and delicious. Even my father-in-law particularly praised the spit roast. Thank you very much and gladly again!

Service was great.. Drinks were also very good... the food was very unusual with the pasta bag and pear.. interesting combination.. unfortunately the sauerbraten wasn't to my taste, but that's always up to the beholder... definitely happy again 🥳 keep it up.

We waited about 30 minutes for our food and then ate it very tasty. The service employee was also very nice, so we tipped generously. The only thing that could be "criticized" was that the Schäufele knife was a little less sharp. Otherwise, it is advisable to bring a box with you if - which can happen with dishes like Schäufele - you cannot manage your food, even if there are disposable boxes for €1 or deposit boxes for €4. Tip: It's best to reserve in advance, as it's a small, cozy restaurant where you don't have to worry about your ears falling off because of the noise 😉 Thank you for the lovely evening, we’ll be happy to come back 🙂

There were three of us and the food was very good, whether blue zip, bratwurst or ox cheeks, everything was great, the boss was a bit overwhelmed, but very, very nice. The pistachio dessert was amazing, we had to order it again. Very happy again, even without a gourmet block.

We visited the Oechsle because of the positive reviews and the gourmet block - full of anticipation of a good visit to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the disappointment was great. The food was simply terrible. Anyone who values ​​freshly prepared food will definitely be disappointed here. Ready-made sauces, convenience products and carelessly prepared dishes have nothing to do with good cuisine. Charging €22 for a meal out of a bag is just outrageous. We were surprised as soon as we entered the restaurant - but not in a positive way. The atmosphere is more reminiscent of a bar or dive bar than a restaurant. The boss sits at the counter in front of two screens and seems more concerned with organization than with catering. Coziness? None. The only positive thing was the friendly service, who clearly made an effort. However, one got the impression that she herself knew how disappointing the food was. Conclusion: Absolutely not recommended. If we had had to pay the regular price without the gourmet block, it would have been an even bigger disappointment. A restaurant visit that I will definitely not repeat.

Open kitchen, salad buffet, cooking is still done in the pan. If you don't expect a star restaurant, you'll definitely come back.
