I don't understand the good reviews! It was a disaster visit! The salad buffet was loveless and the products weren't fresh in my opinion. The atmosphere is not inviting. We were with the gourmet block and when the food came we were amazed because we had ordered 2x Cordon Bleu and one had about 15 fried potato slices (very greasy) on it, the other had a lot more spaetzle... when we took the first bite , we looked at each other and thought the same thing. The meat didn't taste good to us, it had a strange taste... It was difficult to explain it to the service staff because there was a language barrier! 3x requests for ketchup for the child... And the boss sat uninvolved in the entrance area in front of the laptop and didn't pay any attention to it. Unfortunately, no other conversation took place. We weren't doing well. We won't come back.

Delicious food in pleasant surroundings.

Were there for lunch. It was very small, cramped and really cold. I had to put on my winter jacket, but my feet were still very cold. We didn't get clean glasses and there were limescale spots on the cutlery. The Schäufele was not good. Not tender at all and the sauce felt like it only consisted of alcohol. We would not recommend the restaurant and do not understand the good reviews.

Every last Friday of the month I give a make-up workshop in the large adjoining room. The Franconian great restaurant is known for its legendary tarte flambée (perfect for a hungry person). The salad is also recommended. You can serve this yourself at the salad bar. Advantage: you can load your plate as full as you want! There are various displays in the next room, but they don't interfere with eating. We would be happy to come back at any time!

We found out about Öchsle through the Schlemmerblock and the four of us went out to eat there on Saturday. Although the restaurant was quite full, the nice waiter took time for us and told us a lot about the dishes and the area. We sat in the wine bar. The atmosphere there was very nice. The menu is kept quite small and a lot of emphasis is placed on regionality and high-quality ingredients. We had goose leg, ox cheeks and beef ladder. The food came quickly and everything tasted really delicious. We'd love to come back.

We had 9 people with children and dogs and were allowed to sit in the wine bar. The operation was new, but she did a fantastic job, respect! Restaurant was extremely crowded but not unpleasant, there was enough space. The salad bar wasn't a highlight, but I can highly recommend the main meal and dessert. Everyone enjoyed it very much and we would come back.

We booked the "Vinothek" (which is housed in a separate building, directly in front of the main restaurant, facing the Main Street) for our family event with 30 people. We enjoyed the location, the fast and friendly service and the buffet. Dishes were delicious and customised to our tastes and dietary (e.g. vegan and vegetarian, as well as traditional stuff) preferences, so we can't really comment on the standard menu, but the chefs certainly know what they're doing. We'll definitely come back for more <3 :)

The lady behind the counter peeked out from behind her glasses and greeted us with an unfriendly “Yes, please”. There were still private bank documents at the table assigned to us and we weren't sure whether we could even sit down there. There was actually enough space in the back of the restaurant. Not all the tables there were occupied. Nevertheless, we were only asked to go there when two guests left. The food was barely edible. We had Schäufele and Ochsencheekchen. The Schäufele meat was tasteless and didn't really taste fresh. The ox cheeks were simply bland in taste and not really tender. The sauces for both dishes were just way too spicy and didn't taste good. The red cabbage was also spicy and didn't taste like red cabbage because it was way too strongly seasoned. The visit to the Öchsle was a big disappointment. We were really looking forward to it because of the good recessions - but unfortunately we were taught otherwise. We thought for a long time whether we should write a recession at all, Because the boss obviously comments on almost all negative comments instead of accepting criticism and changing something in her restaurant. Almost always the comment: it's a shame they didn't say anything when they were there and things like that speak volumes for us. Just think about it: often it's up to you. At the end, a comment on the furnishings and the ambience in the Öchsle: neither of these contribute to feeling comfortable in this restaurant.

Despite the gourmet block, portions were huge, friendly service in a nice atmosphere.

We called at short notice and got 2 places without any problems. The service was very friendly. We became aware of the “Öchsle” through the “Schlemmerblock”. Venison ragout with bread dumplings was very tasty, as was the tarte flambée. You can choose your own salad from the salad buffet, there was a large selection. We found the restaurant to be a bit hidden in the city center. The atmosphere inside is very cozy, but the plant at our table had seen better days. Accounting for the gourmet block was no problem, many guests had it with them. We would be happy to come back again 😊👍

Really incredibly delicious food. The staff is friendly and very attentive even when the house is full. If you're lucky, you'll get your hands on the homemade tiramisu.

We were served kindly by the younger servants. The food was simple, but good. When taking the order, it was reported that several dishes were no longer available (you can also say this when you give the menu).

8 of us had dinner here (4 adults and 4 children). The staff were very kind and helped us in every way possible with the translation from German. The food is excellent and freshly cooked. Finally, we spent very little (only €116 on all-you-can-eat). We are very satisfied with this place and recommend it!

Here you can enjoy delicious Franconian cuisine. You can sit outside or inside. It was quite full where we were, but we still got a spot, the landlady was very helpful. Price/performance ratio is okay. The service lady was friendly and immediately apologized because she forgot the cutlery. We can recommend the Öchsle.

Very tasty food. We were here for the first time today and had Rinder-Leiterle and Schäufele. The meat and the sauce were simply perfect. The waiter was trained and put in a lot of effort. Many thanks also to the boss for the bike tour recommendations. We would love to come back on the next tour.

After a year we were back in the Öchsle. Like last time, we were a group of 10 people. The food was a culinary delight. Salads, tarte flambée, bratwursts, ox cheeks, Schäufele and much more, all to your complete satisfaction. A nice boss and great service rounded off a lovely evening. 2023 We went for dinner with a group of 10 people. The dishes offered were typical Franconian cuisine. The dishes were served promptly so that everyone could eat at the same time and tasted excellent! The outside area could be made a little friendlier. Otherwise everything was really good!

A culinary experience with great service We had a wonderful weekend in the Öchsle Restaurant. The service was very friendly and nice, the owner was extremely warm and attentive. The food was delicious and the wine rounded off the great evening. We are already looking forward to the next time!

Very long waiting times because there are too few staff.

Yesterday we went to Öchsle in Ochsenfurt for the first time with the Schlemmerblock and we were completely thrilled! We wanted to sit outside and the friendly suggestion that if we wanted a little more sun we could use this table was great! We both wanted to eat meat, so we chose the spit roast in a chanterelle cream sauce with bread dumplings (daily menu), as well as the beef rib with fried potatoes. And both melted in our mouths! Very very tender meat! The chanterelles are incredibly fresh. The bread dumpling was not a dumpling in the traditional sense, but rather served under the meat. The cream sauce is not too fatty! Class! Long story short, we haven't eaten this well in a long time! €21 is probably a steep price for the Steigerwald, but it's definitely worth it! The Silvaner tastes excellent and the Blaufränkische is out of this world! A wonderful droplet! And! This is not a fast food restaurant! And I mean that in a very, very positive way! We'd love to come back.

The welcome was very friendly and the order was taken very quickly. The drinks were brought quickly and the food came almost immediately after a good 30 minutes. The salad buffet was well prepared and varied, the salads were in individual bowls with lids. We had nothing to complain about in terms of taste. We were absolutely thrilled with the Franconian “Leiterli” with fried potatoes and the black beer goulash with noodles! Delicious! We'll definitely be back!

Yesterday evening we spontaneously went to the Öchsle with 8 people. We were welcomed very friendly. The service is always attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, the salads varied and fresh. We recommend the beef ribs with fried potatoes - a dream! The boss also responded to individual requests - a special thank you 😊🌺 We would love to come back 👍🍻🤗

We had a bratwurst snail with fried potatoes and the ox cheeks. The bratwurst was good, even if it could have spent a minute or two longer in the pan. The fried potatoes, on the other hand, were totally oversalted and very dry. The problem with the ox cheeks was that they were quite tough and streaky, which unfortunately didn't meet my expectations. In my opinion, about half of it was absolutely inedible. The red cabbage with it was more reminiscent of a warmed raw vegetable salad. So either well-cooked red cabbage or a raw vegetable salad. But not like that somehow. By the way, going to the toilet is not entirely safe, as there is a step down about ten centimeters directly behind the door frame, which is not pointed out. We definitely won't be coming back.

Worst restaurant I've ever been to! I can always accept a long wait if I get a good meal served in return. The salad buffet not only had dirty plates, but also limp salad, vinegar-heavy coleslaw, juiceless and weak vegetables and little choice of dressing. Anything but an appetite-stimulating fresh salad buffet. But the pork medallions with spaetzle that I ordered were an imposition. Visually, the dish was anything but appealing. After one forkful, I felt sick and returned the food. The sauce was a pure flour paste that had nothing to do with a cream sauce. The consistency made me gag. The only way I didn't vomit was by drinking a lot of water. There was far too much pepper on the spaetzle. And the meat was tough. Overall, everything tasted disgusting. The service was a complete disaster from start to finish. An unfriendly greeting. Constantly changing waitresses who then forget the orders. Only our criticism was responded to politely and the error was acknowledged. However, three people from the staff came here and we had to repeat it every time. Communication within the team would be helpful here. Since the food was inedible, we were not charged for the dish as a gesture of goodwill. However, that doesn't make a visit to the restaurant any better. The rooms are also off-putting. Totally dark, cold and dirty. Overall just terrible!!! I have some serious advice: If you don't want customers to come to you with a gourmet block, you shouldn't even take part in such a campaign. Because the customers can't do anything about it. Nobody deserves to be treated unkindly. Even if they get their food at half price.

Unfortunately, some of our dishes were inedible. The Schäufele was quite good. Overall, this visit was unfortunately not at all satisfactory. So I can't recommend it. 4 out of 7 people had to go home hungry. For the above-average prices you should also be able to expect very good food. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio doesn't fit here at all. A salad buffet is a good idea in itself, but one or two more dressings to choose from wouldn't hurt.

Came to Ochsenfurt late on Friday evening and wanted something to eat. Only the Öchsle still offered warm food. Very accommodating friendly staff. Tarte flambée and white wine very good. Absolutely recommended.

Very hospitable restaurant with great food.

Unfortunately that wasn't good. Service was friendly, but not really like a good restaurant in the sense of being uniformed or something. The salad buffet was unimaginative standard, the Schäufele sauce was not homemade. The scoop itself is crispy. Red cabbage is not nice. The tarte flambée were finished dishes... and the winemaker pasta unfortunately nothing at all (oily sauce, raw onions and tomatoes, with ham... that was the dish with lettuce leaves on it. Everything doesn't seem to be up to scratch anymore... it's a shame. And we weren't a gourmet block customer!

Reservations are strongly recommended. The number of tables is very limited. It was quite drafty in the dining room itself and the tables are very close together (so you should be careful about what you talk about, because other guests tend to overhear). The service person brought our soups (starters) after 45 minutes and only mentioned very late (after about 30 minutes) that the salads had to be picked up at the counter. Since the restaurant was busy that evening and the service staff was visibly overwhelmed, I would have liked the boss to give her a hand instead of loudly having fun with her friends at another table. The main courses were rather bad than good. The winemaker noodles were completely overcooked and the Schäuferla sauce was very thin. Normally we complain, but after 1 hour 15 minutes we didn't feel like investing that much time again. Conclusion: There is still a lot of room for improvement.

Nice little restaurant with Franconian cuisine, friendly service and fair prices

We were here for the first time and would love to come back! Very hospitable and delicious food.

The 4 of us went for lunch on Sunday. Unfortunately we came to the conclusion that the sauce was too bland, the portion of the beef cheeks was very small and the spaetzle was definitely not homemade. The Schäuferle is very hard, the red cabbage plank from the glass into the bowl. .. .at prices of 19€----21.90€ you could expect better...we will definitely not be coming back. Seldom eaten so badly. The service was also very unfriendly.

Food was ok. Meat tender, but not seasoned enough. What really bothered us were the people with dogs. We also love animals and dogs, but this is going too far. Where are the hygiene measures! The tables are not far from each other and two large dogs who are constantly attracted to the meat, constantly wagging their tails and pulling towards us, that is unacceptable to us. And that was the case the last time too. In addition, the dog kept barking loudly and kept startling me. It's best to sit the dogs at the table straight away and serve the food on the plates! If it stays like this, then we won't come anymore.

Eating: well, okay, more like 0815 - “enjoying” is different. The boss sits in the middle of the restaurant and sits on the computer. Service is friendly but unfortunately not very eye-catching.

The food is very questionable in terms of taste. If you come with the gourmet block you are not welcome. You will be asked if it is there. We've had this happen twice and then it wasn't there either. Why are they taking part in this? And sorry, I'm a butcher and I'm also a cook. Please, that's eating, I don't just know that the stomach should stop communicating.

Das Essen war gut. Leider war es furchtbar kalt in dem Restaurant und wir mussten unsere Fleecejacken anlassen. Immer wenn ein Gast auf Toilette ging, hat es extrem gezogen. Nach guten 1.5 Stunden sind wir gegangen, da unsere Füße eiskalt waren. Das Ambiente ist okay ist aber definitiv ausbaufähig.

Mittelmäßigen Essen und anmaßend Chefin. Nochmal sieht dieses Restaurant uns nicht mehr!

Wir waren jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal hier zum Essen und es war auch dieses Mal wieder richtig lecker. Von fränkischer Küche über saisonale und vegetarische Speisen ist für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können es uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Über meinen Besuch im Öchsle, mit meiner Familie. Als wir ankamen und nach unseren reservierten Tisch fragten, gab es schon das erste Problem, dass unser Tisch schon vergeben war, und es keinen vernünftigen Platz für uns gab. Damit wurden wir an einen Bartisch verwiesen, der sehr nah an der Eingangstür grenzte, was uns keinen guten Eindruck gegeben hat. Zum Glück haben sich Gäste, die an unseren Tisch saßen, uns den Gefallen getan sich an diesen Bartisch zusetzen, dafür nochmal vielen Dank.:) Als wir dann an unseren eigentlichen Tisch saßen, der leider auch nicht das gelbe vom Ei war, da er mehr für zwei Personen statt drei geeignet war, gaben wir unsere Bestellung auf eine Vorspeise und drei Hauptspeisen. Mein Sohn sein Essen kam zügig, er hatte zwei klöße mit soße bestellt, allerdings waren sie leider nicht durch. Wir hatten um neue Gebeten und haben auch gleich welche bekommen. Als nun unser Sohn versorgt war, Waren wir gespannt wann es weiter geht. Ich der eine Vorspeise erwartet hat, bekam auf einmal meine Hauptspeise serviert. Damit hatte sich das Thema Vorspeise für mich erledigt gehabt. Es war zwar etwas schade und die Kellnerin hatte sich auch mehrmals dafür entschuldigt, nur dass schlimmere war, dass ich nun meine Hauptspeise hatte, nur meiner Frau Ihre komplett vergessen wurde, und die Kellnerin es nicht mal aufgenommen hatte. Um zum Abschluss zu kommen, als wir das Essen hatten, auch wenn leider zeitversetzt,war es gut. Nur könnte man der ganzen Sache mehr Liebe witmen. Ein Lokal zu führen ist bestimmt nicht leicht, aber man sollte sein bestes geben und mit Herz bei der Sache sein. Bessere Organisation, Ein bisschen ortenlicheres Ambiente Zwecks der Sauberkeit, der Toiletten. Und dem Gesamtbild des Vorraums, wie zb. an der Theke mit den vielen Kabeln. Fazit: Das Essen ist gut, und man bekommt auch das was man liest Der Rest ist ausbaufähig. Ein zweiter Besuch ist leider ausgeschlossen!

Sehr lecker, freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Speisekarte gibt es auch eine Wochenkarte dadurch Abwechslung. Auch einige vegetarische Gerichte dabei. War ein sehr schöner Abend. Das war vor zwei Jahren. Jetzt wieder mal dort und alles bestens. Waren dieses mal im zweiten Restaurant daneben war dann auch für Rollstuhl gut. Da ist es etwas ruhiger und mehr Platz.

Ich liebe das fränkische Essen da. Es stimmt einfach alles .
