The guy and his colleague, called “the best man” on Luitpoldstrasse, are simply the kings of the city – kebab legends through and through! Anyone who claims otherwise either has no taste or is one of the two “Talahons” who don’t know a word of German and complain pointlessly.
The shawarma? An absolute dream! Everything fresh, perfectly seasoned and prepared with love. And the guy behind the counter? Always in a good mood, friendly like no other – as if he had the energy of a Duracell bunny at speed.
I love this store!
Incredibly friendly staff, great food and coffee, cozy restaurant with a nice courtyard. Rather expensive but it was more than worth it. we'll be back :)
So I like being there, the owners and his family are very nice!
I'm not vegan and I've tried a lot of things
Some things, for example the nuggets, taste so good on Cigköfte, they are very, very tasty. Everything.
Thought is put into it and the quality is also good.
Would I recommend them: definitely
Veganland is worth a visit if you want to eat Turkish cuisine and vegan.
We went for the first time for an evening meal after reserving two weeks in advance (small very successful place, hard to get a spot!). Coup de coeur feels like a classic French-style small gastro restaurant with a weekly rotating menu with little choice but definitely something for everyone. We both had the starter, a half blue cheese tartelette that was genuinely impressive, perfect balance between the flavors of the ingredients with the blue cheese tasty but not overpowering and a dough to die for. For main courses we had the veal filet (perfectly executed meat, slightly uninspired plain boiled white asparagus and three quarters of a morel that left me wanting more) and potato variation (good dish with a delicious gremolata to add a kick to the dish). For desserts we had one of each available, a lait ribot and fresh herbs dessert (tasty, light and very refreshing), and a biscuit with sesam cream and kumquat (great as well). We shared a bottle of Entre-deux-mers during the meal. Overall we had a great experience and will come back!
Normally love ordering from this place but my most recent order was off. The cheese tasted like spoiled milk and the wings just weren't cooked right. I ended up giving the pizza away and noone wanted the barely cooked wings so had to trash them. Hopefully this isnt the new norm for this place
The sushi rice was truly delicious – you can tell the quality is there. Unfortunately, the rest of the ingredients weren't quite as convincing: some were fresh, some were rather marginal. Particularly disappointing was that my "Veggy Crunchy" (actually vegetarian!) was filled with salmon – that's completely unacceptable, especially for vegetarians or those with allergies. When I asked, the staff couldn't help me. Instead, they just said, "The boss is already gone, we're closed," even though the opening hours stated the shop was open for another half hour. Communication was difficult overall, as German was unfortunately very limited.
The shop seemed very clean, though.
It's a shame – with a little more care and better service, it could really be a good place.
My dear Mr. Singing Club! Where else can you get a 3-course menu for 26 EUR at lunchtime with the best service, three great courses in a great ambience? Simply wonderful food, sometimes creative, sometimes classic but always perfectly and beautifully prepared, plus wonderfully charming and relaxed service in a fantastic Wasserburger restaurant or on the sun terrace. Absolute recommendation!
The restaurant is located on the east side of the city center, next to a park and near the municipal swimming pool. There is parking on the street in front. The decor is classic with a traditional Greek feel, and it's quite small. The service is prompt, the ladies are very experienced and competent in advising customers. The food, the centerpiece, is well prepared and attractively presented in small bowls, pots and saucers. It is fresh and tasty. The prices aren't exactly low... You notice that immediately when you open the menu. I rate this restaurant as one of the best in the city. Definitely worth a visit. But remember that you need an appointment. We've waited more than a month...
Last night I had one of the best meals of my life in this restaurant. I sat at the bar, so I could look into the kitchen, which was great fun, and had the tasting menu with wine pairing. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented and the wines matched perfectly. What was really fun was that each course had a little side plate with a small amount of the main ingredient cooked a different way to the main plate. For example, the asparagus with parmesan cream featured grilled asparagus on the main plate, then the side plate had a small piece of delicious asparagus tempura (which took me right back to when I lived in Japan). Unfortunately I didn’t take photos but this was actually a conscious decision because I wanted to enjoy the food and fully experience the evening. The service was also impeccable. All staff are friendly and nice, and give good explanations of the dishes and accompanying wines. Yes, it is pricey, but definitely worth it for a treat. I’ll be back again soon.
