We took the 5- course menu with wine. Great food, taste combinations and dishes. However, the service really took a long time, we waited very long for each dish even when we were all done eating, which unfortunately tainted the experience. Also, the waiter did not present the wines so we did not know what we were drinking except if we asked.

I have been a guest at Le Plaisant twice so far and was very impressed both times. French cuisine is reinterpreted. My tip for everyone who likes fine dining but wants to pay my star-level prices.

The small and very fine restaurant Le Plaisant has become our absolute favorite restaurant in Munich over the last year. You can't do it much better - Damien Plaisant cooks seasonally, regionally, always inspired, surprising and, above all, varied. There is no fixed menu, the menu changes regularly, so we are always looking forward to the new menu and we have never been disappointed, but we were even more surprised. Damien always manages to delight and enchant us with his skills and creativity and to give us culinary highlights. The sommelier is charming, to the point, yet relaxed and far from stiff. The wine accompaniment to the menu is perfectly matched and you are guided through the evening in an incredibly friendly and witty manner. Fine dining in Munich at star level, absolutely out of the ordinary, favorite restaurant and absolute recommendation!

Update 03.24: We wanted to give le Plaisant a second chance and were now there again. Overall, my impression of the kitchen has improved significantly. We probably had a bad day back then. The plates are still not spectacular, but they are really good for the price and the price/performance ratio is therefore completely acceptable. The bottle of wine was surprisingly good for the price and I give it an extra star for that. ——— Le Plaisant is upscale in terms of quality and price - but below a star restaurant. Unfortunately, Le Plaisant does not fully live up to this claim for the following reasons: The plates of the 5-course menu are mostly banal and lack sophistication. The tartare is good but not better than any slightly better restaurant in Munich. Where is the sophisticated preparation that we love so much about French cuisine? Or the creative courage to surprise the guest with something? After every plate you are disappointed in a similar way and at the same time you hope for a big finale - which unfortunately doesn't happen. The wine accompaniment is not bad but not really convincing either. The wine accompaniment is really cheap and so I don't want to put too much emphasis on this point of criticism. The service is okay but for a comparable restaurant in France it would be too imprecise and inattentive. Conclusion (see update): Le Plaisant is a restaurant with actually good food and service, but unfortunately for the standards it has a below-average price-performance ratio.

What a coincidence that I was standing across the street, searching on Google for a restaurant nearby and came across this top restaurant! All the tables in the restaurant were occupied, I had a nice place outside all to myself in the beautiful weather and was served like a king. Thank you for a wonderful evening - the menu was fantastic and the matching wines were a poem!

We enjoyed the 5-Course Menu with Wine very much and the Service was also outstanding! We will definetly come again.

Solid food, service okay. Nevertheless, you have to say: nothing more extraordinary and also slightly too expensive. But you can do it.

Le Plaisant is a French restaurant with fine dining, excellent cuisine, but it also comes at a price. A visit there is therefore recommended for a special occasion. We chose the entire menu including wine accompaniment and every course was a pleasure. The service was excellent, especially the explanations of the appropriate wine were very informative and you could tell that it wasn't just a waiter speaking, but a trained sommelier. Overall, the service was very commendable, especially because attention was paid to the necessary breaks between the individual courses. The boss also came every now and then to serve a course and explain the dish, although we had heard from others that he served each course himself and explained it, unfortunately this was not the case during our visit. The ambience is very pleasant because the restaurant doesn't have very many seats and therefore the noise level is absolutely limited. Even though the portions initially look manageable, for example in the pictures posted here, we were really more than full after the menu. And by the way, we would also like to mention the excellent, home-baked bread, which is served lukewarm and is always available upon request. In any case, we had a very nice, enjoyable evening there. Longer-term planning and prior reservation is highly recommended due to the limited number of seats, as it is difficult to get a table at short notice.

The restaurant, which has a somewhat bland interior, offers the individual and fine cuisine of Maître Damien Plaisant in the form of 3 to 5-course menus. From the cheeky amuse-bouche variant (Croque-Madame with Périgord truffle & quail egg) to the mercilessly delicious 'Bavette de bœuf à l'échalote' to the intense dessert finish (pecan cheesecake with port chocolate ganache and vanilla tonka -ice cream) we were thrilled by each of the 5 courses. The wine accompaniment offered was also appropriately chosen, although I would probably have chosen another Riesling and dessert wine; but that is subjective and falls into the realm of personal preference. The palate is perfectly pampered in situ and this will rightly be the focus for most visitors. However, if you are willing to spend 3-400 euros for an evening for two, you can expect the whole package. Everyone can decide for themselves whether that is the case with the ham-fisted, unconfident and sometimes clumsy service here. For me, casual charm and a suitable eloquent presentation are definitely part of a top evening. Reservation is mandatory.

Excellent, star-worthy cuisine in liaison with an excellent wine selection and competent advice - in a cultivated but relaxed and informal atmosphere: we will definitely go there again

We hosted our wedding reception at Le Plaisant. The contact, planning and preparations were super friendly and professional. On the day of the event itself, the team was excellently organized, be it service or kitchen. The food was simply fantastic, nothing more can be said about it. The bread was baked in-house. We and all our guests had a very nice day at Le Plaisant and felt completely comfortable.

Wir waren hier zum ersten Mal aber sicher nicht das letzte Mal! Ein unglaublich gemütliches Ambiente mit lockerer Atmosphäre trifft auf einen humorvoll charmanten aber professionellen Service. Alles was aus der Küche den Weg in unseren Gaumen fand war ein einziger Traum. Raffiniert mit ganz viel Liebe zum Detail hat uns dieses Team einfach verzaubert. Wir haben es sehr genossen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Great French Restaurant in Haidausen. We loved the food, and the overall experience. The service is great with the Chef serving some of the dishes he just prepared directly to the clients. The atmosphere is cozy, only few tables available so the reservation is absolutely a must! We will go back

Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für die angebotene Qualität der Speisen. Ist halt ein Menü -Restaurant aber das auch ganz deutlich auf der Webseite dargestellt. Gefällt mir auch, daß sich le plaisant nur auf 1 Menü pro Woche konzentriert. Sehr nachhaltig. Service auch sehr zuvorkommend.

The food was excellent, we had the asparagus cream soup and ravioli dish, veal with asparagus, and the panna cotta with rhubarb and strawberries. A minor comment about the cheese plate, it was good but it could be improved with having a selection rather than a fixed cheese plate with 3 pieces. The service was excellent. Nice atmosphere and we highly recommend the restaurant.

Wir waren gestern Abend im Le Plaisant zum Abendessen. Unsere Erwartungen waren auf Grund der sehr guten Bewertungen sehr hoch, auch wenn man sich erfahrungsgemäß nicht immer darauf verlassen kann. Aber in diesem Fall wurden unsere Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Jeder Gang war hervorragend. Gesmacklich ausdrucksstark und in sich dennoch abgerundet, so das es nie überwürzt schmeckte, einfach überragend. Auch die Zusammenstellung des Menüs und der Zutaten sowie die Präsentation der Teller war super. Der Koch bringt jeden Gang selber an den Tisch und erklärt den Gang - super! Wir waren schon öfters in Sternerestaurants, die evtl. in der Rafinesse der Präsentation, durch sehr aufwändige Zubereitung spezieller Produkte, noch eins drauf setzen, aber geschmacklich kann das Le Plaisant da auf jeden Fall mithalten. Ich kann das Le Plaisant nur empfehlen, wenn man einen besonderen Abend, mit hervorragendem Essen, toller Weinbegleitung, schönem Ambiente und gutem Service verbringen möchte

Wir gehen hier regelmäßig hin und werden nie enttäuscht. Der Service ist angenehm und freundlich und die Beratung sehr kompetent. Das Essen ist jedes Mal super und das Menü wechselt alle zwei Wochen und fokussiert sich auf saisonale Produkte. Unbedingt rechtzeitig reservieren, da es gerade am Wochenende schnell voll ist.

Ein gemütliches kleines Lokal mit hervorragendem französischem Essen und perfekter Weinbegleitung dazu. Sehr freundlicher und kenntnisreicher Sommelier. Jeder Gang des Menüs wird vom Koch persönlich an den Tisch gebracht und erläutert. Wir fühlen uns dort sehr wohl. Ein Ort zum Genießen und Entspannen.
