Maison Massard in München

The bistro has existed since 2016 in the heart of Haidhausen's French Quarter and is simply and brightly furnished, but charmingly appropriate. The relaxed patron of the house always carries out his duties in a friendly manner and with love for his job - which can of course also be seen in the menu and wine list (primarily French and Spanish wines). If you don't want to jump into the 5-course menu including wine accompaniment (€92), we recommend a few special delicacies: the au gratin scallops and prawns in a bed of leeks as well as the fine swordfish medallions are highly recommended! Experience has shown that it is always worth asking about the daily aquatic catch. The various desserts, on the other hand, are not my cup of tea, with the exception of the chocolate cake with its liquid core. In terms of costs, everything is presented at a fairly fair level and there is nothing to complain about in terms of the boyish, casual service. À la prochaine fois! 🍷🦐🌺

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed, the welcome could have been friendlier, with restaurants of this quality I expect that the coats will be taken off. We were told we could hang them in two different places. The two waitresses didn't make you feel welcome. Regular guests were clearly preferred. Twice we had to pour our own wine, which was in another place, even though we always waited a long time for someone to come. The quality of the products and the taste was very good, but unfortunately on a cold mini plate. It's a shame, the evening could have been very nice with little effort. They can cook and the products are good too.

Great food, great prices, great staff

I've been celebrating my birthday here with my family for several years. We are always impressed by the quality of the food and drinks, the ambience and the friendly staff. For a “Frenchman” in Munich it is also very good value for money.

Wie immer ein tolles Erlebnis. Wir kommen immer wieder gern her. Wir wurden mit einem Lächeln empfangen und ebenso verabschiedet. Man fühlt sich angekommen und herzlich aufgenommen. Die Küche ist französisch bodenständig, nicht überkandidelt und das macht es gerade aus. Wir freuen uns aufs nächstes Mal.

We had the table behind the wall so the waiter probably forgot we were there for a moment but the cards were next to us and we could serve ourselves. But as soon as the order came out, the waiter was there often and asked if everything was OK. In general I find it very pleasant there and the food was also good.

The food only deserves one word WOW! But what is even more remarkable is the wine that was served with the menu, of course it goes with the food. What I found cool was that the waiter gave me the opportunity to recognize the flavors for myself before he explained it, even after I said I had no idea have.

Das Ambiente vermittelt auf den ersten Blick bereits einen Wohlfühleindruck, der Service ergänzt diesen perfekt. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der kleine Olivengruß aus der Küche war ein guter Auftakt, die gratinierten Jakobsmuscheln & Crevetten waren toll und die Meeräsche ein guter Abschluss. Wir waren gerne hier, und kommen auch gerne wieder.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier und waren sehr begeistert vom Essen, Ambiente, Service und dem guten Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Thunfischtartar fabelhaft, ebenso die Cotriade mit viel feinem Fisch darin. Eine sehr schöne natürliche Atmosphäre mit 'ganz normalen ' Gästen. Nicht so abgehoben wie sonst oft. Wir kommen unbedingt wieder!

The meat and fish were rather good. Sadly the potatoes were severely undercooked, disappointing performance, given the price. Service was nice, but too pushy for a romantic date. The place was really loud and then the staff started loudly banging things behind the bar. Overall fine, but not at all what I expected for the price

A special highlight if you like French cuisine, ambience and excellent food and drinks. Service top. In a side street, quieter than on Rosenheimer Straße. Reservation is essential, parking spaces on the street have to be searched for and found, it's best to use public transport.

Really great place! We ordered a surprise 5-course menu with wine and we weren't disappointed! Especially the service was implacable :) Prices are surprisingly moderate as for the quality and service. Definitely goes to the list of my fav restaurants in Munich

Wir haben sehr gut gegessen, angefangen von 3 Austern für 10 Euro über das 3-Gang Menu bis zum Seeteufelfilet für 24 Euro. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis!

Had a really enjoyable dinner. Great appetizers roast duck and their goat cheese salad. Had 2 different fish dinners both outstanding flavor. The chocolate cake is a don’t miss…. Peach Melba was tasty too! Nice bottle of wine and great service… would highly recommend and definitely go back if we’re in town again.

My visit to this French restaurant was an absolute highlight. As soon as you enter you are greeted by a charming atmosphere and a touch of Paris. The furnishings are elegant and stylish, with great attention to detail. The menu offers an exquisite selection of classic French dishes. I chose the Coq au Vin which was perfectly cooked and rich in flavors. The starter, an onion soup, also exceeded my expectations - spicy, hearty and simply delicious. The wine, a recommendation from the house, harmonized perfectly with the food and rounded off the taste experience. The desserts, especially the crème brûlée, were a real treat and provided a sweet ending. The service was first class - attentive but unobtrusive. The staff always made sure nothing was missing and were very knowledgeable in the selection of food and wine. This French restaurant not only offers culinary delights, but also an authentic experience that transports you to France for an evening. A visit is highly recommended and I'm already looking forward to my next evening here.

Die 5 Sterne in allen Bereichen sind absolut gerechtfertigt. Da hat einfach alles gepasst. Das erlebt man sehr selten. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Wir waren am frühen Abend da und es war noch wenig los. Dadurch hatten wir Gelegenheit uns bei Chef und Kellner etwas intensiver über die tollen Weine auszutauschen, was sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat. Danke! Das Essen entsprach voll und ganz den Erwartungen und war sehr lecker.

Das Ambiente war so schön wie immer. Die Bedienung bemühte sich sehr, der Anzahl und den Wünschen der Gäste gerecht zu werden. Das Essen selber war sehr intensiv gewürzt, zum Teil weit über Normal, merkwürdig!

Solide feine Küche, durchaus mit pfiffigen Details. Bier ist möglich, Wein natürlich passender zu den meisten Gerichten. Service - sehr zuvorkommend Chef, der Mitarbeiter etwas zerstreut. Was die Küche unter den engen Räumlichkeiten ist enorm! Innen immer ansprechend dekoriert, der Schanigarten - in einer Nebenstraßedes Franzosenviertels - verleiht im Sommer Urlaubsgefühle.

Everything! Everything tastes good there at Bruno’s. We were with a group of 10. I had entrecote and oysters. The quality was simply 1A+++ The service was 1A+++ The prices are super reasonable! Ambience A1+++ Gladly again! We recommend!!! Wow!

A very good French restaurant on the "other side" of Rosenheimer Strasse. Beats "Chez Fritz" any day.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang, gute Aperitivs und frische Austern. Ausgewählte Weinauswahl und gut temperierte und gereifte Käse. Wirklich ein Ort, der wie Frankreich aussieht und schmeckt. Inzwischen sehr gefragt, daher macht eine Reservierung Sinn.

Very friendly service, we came without reservation and with a baby and got a good table with a side space where we could put our baby carriage. The food was delicious -we especially enjoyed beef tartare and lamb from the day menu and desserts. I hope we can come once again soon! Overall that’s a nice restaurant with a very good price/quality ratio.

We were in Munich for a few days and came across this restaurant through online research because we love French cuisine. What can we say, it was a successful evening all around. Very nice and authentic host. In general, the waitresses there were all nice and attentive. The cuisine is excellent! That's how we know it from France and that's how we love it. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back. Thank you for the lovely evening. Keep it up.

Ich habe mal wieder das Überaschungsmenü mit Weinbegleitung gewählt, es war wieder mal ein tolles Geschmackserlebnis und eine gelungene Weinauswahl.

Everything was perfect. We had the 5-Gänge-Menü for the celebration of my wife‘s birthday. Sincere thanks to everyone in the restaurant. It was an unforgettable experience and we would surely gladly come back.

The food wasn't bad per se, but in the end it was ok for the price! Service was very good! Were warmly welcomed and the atmosphere is also quite nice.

Der Empfang war eher kühl. Dem Chef war seine Buchhaltung wichtiger, als die Gäste an den Platz zu begleiten. Auf das Essen haben wir sehr lange gewartet. Die Vorspeise - Austern und ein Bretonischer Teller waren sehr gut - mit Ausnahme einer Krewette die bereits zum Himmel stank (das müsste die Küche merken). Die zweite Vorspeise - die Hirschterrine war etwas hart und trocken. Die Haupspeisen (Skry/Kabeljau und Seeteufel) waren nicht wirklich gut - sehr trocken und mit wenig Liebe zubereitet. Alles in allem war das Essen eine grosse Enttäuschung. Kein einziges Mal bequemte sich Herr Bassard an unserem Tisch um zu fragen ob alles in Ordnung ist bzw. ob uns das Essen geschmeckt hat. Die Weinkarte ist äusserst dürftig und hat sehr wenig Auswahl. Preis (300Euro für 2 Pers.) Leistung stimmt hier überhaupt nicht. Schade!

Unbelievable, we came to the restaurant and were told that the reservation had been canceled because the lady in our group four years ago was not satisfied. So the owner gave us a good start, saved the email for four years and instead of being a little friendlier than last time, he just went a step further. More of a case for the couch, it has very little to do with customer service... C'est pas sympa du tout!

Delicious food, nice service, atmosphere unfortunately like a hospital canteen. Cream leather in front of cream wall. Very sad.

Overall a nice experience, the food was very good (even if some main dishes were a bit slightly salty). Service Very friendly, smiling and super kind, but a bit slow the delivery of the orders. I will definitely come back.

A wonderful restaurant for a pleasant evening! You sit nicely, are pampered by good-looking, very friendly French people and the most important thing: excellent food and large enough portions! 😇 The tuna tartare was a very special poem, the swordfish was a dream and all 4 desserts were a treat to cuddle up with. My French husband was happy with the fish soup like Grandma's:) The boss also helps out and gives the guests a feeling of being completely taken care of in a charming French way. Oh yes... And just the right mix of service is present AND also lets you sit in peace and stress-free... Highly recommended!!

Wir haben einen wundervollen Abend mit dem Überraschungsmenü verbracht und waren sehr zufrieden.

Leider waren wir verwöhnt vom ersten Besuch. Da hatten wir einen Tisch im hinteren Bereich und wurden, denke ich, vom Chef betreut. Und er war sehr aufmerksam und wir hatten immer was zu trinken und zu essen. Er hat sich hervorragend um uns und die anderen Gäste gekümmert. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Diesmal im vorderen Bereich, denke wegen Stress, sassen wir lange ohne beachtet zu werden, mit leeren Gläsern, auch kein Wasser, und keiner fragte, ob wir noch was wollen. Wir wurden auch keines Blickes gewürdigt, um ein Zeichen geben zu können. Also hängt es sehr vom Personal ab, wie man sich fühlt....auf jedem Fall geht es mir so. Sonst ist alles hervorragend: das Essen, die Getränke, das Lokal. Absolut empfehlenswert! Würde aber nur noch im hinteren Bereich sitzen wollen.

Nicht nur das Essen war sehr fein, sondern auch der Service war überaus freundlich mit einem humorvollen Personal!

Das Essen war frisch und sehr gut. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Der Kellner sprach zur Freude meiner Frau sogar spanisch. Wir haben den Aufenthalt zum Abendessen als sehr angenehm empfunden.

Check the Bill!! Fixed menu for dinner with colleagues, each one paying for himself; 1 out of 14 at the last could not come because ill and the owner charged us the missing person, without informing us before! Have you ever payed for smt you did not receive? After complaints the owner gave us the missing portion to take away. He said "I m right, why the client should always be right?" Ps. In my opinion the food is good, but maybe too expensive, also for Munich. No need to hear from the owner that we should not be back.

The food was alright, but the service was horrible. I asked the waiter some simple questions in a friendly way. The middle-aged, mixed waiter didn't show patience, friendliness or professionalism when answering them. He was rude, unfriendly and putting himself, not the guest first. Overall we felt like this restaurant too expensive, the food was partially not as tasty and not warm any longer and that one waiter wasn't as friendly. We was won't be back.

Ein authentisches französisches Essen und einer Brasserie. Wie immer super freundlich, vernünftige Preise. Den Fisch mit Rahmsauerkraut bekommt man ausserhalb des Elsass nicht so oft und schon gar nicht so schmackhaft.

Angenehmes Ambiente, man fühlt sich als Gast sofort willkommen, die Karte klein, aber fein, das Essen sehr sehr gut und der Service ausgesprochen freundlich und sehr sympathisch
