Ich war schon öfters hier und das Essen war immer gut. Heute hab ich ein Gericht ausgewählt, weil dabei stand mit frischem Gemüse. Wenn aber die Karottenscheiben gewellt sind ist das TK Ware nix frisch. Das gleiche gilt für die Bohnen und die Erbsen. Das war mein letzter Besuch. Sorry, so nicht

Authentische indische Küche. Eines der besten Restaurants in Deutschland.

Direkt auf der Fußgängerzone, gegeüber vom C&A. Angenehmes Ambiente mit indischer Musik. Bedinung schnell und freunflich. Auswahl an Essen sehr gut, bisserl Nepal feeling kam auf. Wir hatten Thali mit Fisch und Huhn, sehr, sehr lecker. Preislich alles im normalen Bereich, klar eine Empfehlung für denjenigen, der indisches Essen mag.

Hervorragend leckeres Essen. Das Personal/Bedienung sind auf zack und man fühlt sich umsorgt. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis ist gut.

Wir waren im Royal India in Augsburg und hatten das Chicken Korma – und es war wirklich hervorragend! Das Hähnchen war perfekt zubereitet, sehr saftig und zart. Die Sauce war wunderbar cremig und aromatisch, genau die richtige Balance aus Würze und Milde. Man merkt, dass hier mit Qualität und Liebe gekocht wird. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns schon darauf, weitere Gerichte auszuprobieren. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ich war heute spontan mit meiner Freundin im Royal India essen. Wirklich sehr sehr leckeres Essen. Portion mehr als ausreichend um satt zu werden Und das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Kann man nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Von allen indischen Restaurants in Augsburg gefällt mir Royal India am besten, weil die Speisekarte übersichtlich ist und das Essen wirklich lecker schmeckt. Wir haben während unseres zehnmonatigen Aufenthalts in Augsburg viele Gerichte von der Speisekarte probiert.

We spontaneously decided to eat here today and were delighted: a very warm welcome, prompt service, a wide selection of Indian dishes – and, importantly for us, flexibility regarding spice levels. The food was excellent, and the live Christmas music encouraged us to stay a little longer. Definitely not our last visit :)

The food was truly excellent. The lamb was fantastic, and the paneer dishes were beautifully seasoned. We especially enjoyed the samosas. Furthermore, the staff were so friendly, which contributed to a wonderful atmosphere.

After a trip to India in February, this was our first visit to an Indian restaurant in Germany. We were pleasantly surprised; everything tasted delicious – very authentic.

We had a party of 8 with no reservation and they excepted us with a smile. We ordered enough food to feed an army. The dishes just kept coming! Tried a bite of every dish, all fantastic, what a treat! The service was excellent, atmosphere was cool as well. Very good prices. We intend to visit again before leaving Augsburg. I will say this was the best dinner and service we have had in our 2 weeks here. Can't say enough great things about this restaurant!

Veggies and Tasty Food lovers - It’s a place you should definitely visit . To start with the owner is very welcoming and warm I am sure you will feel connected with the Indian vibes . The place is very well done and also on the background super soft trendy numbers to make you feel so fresh . The food I ordered with Veg Kofta and really its was super tasty with perfect spice used to enhance the taste . Highly recommend Super - you really don’t need ratings for me your Restaurants deserves 5 star ⭐️. Definitely my place to visit on my list next time .

We received a very friendly welcome and had trouble choosing something from the numerous dishes on the menu because everything sounded so tempting. We opted for one lamb dish, one vegetarian dish (I just can't resist okra), and a salad. The aroma of the food alone gave us a hint of what was to come: an explosion of flavors from spices. We were and are thrilled! Not a crumb was left on the plate. I would have loved to go into the kitchen and take a lesson so I could recreate a meal like that at home. Everything was absolutely perfect. The service was attentive and cheerful; the cook (?) came to the table to ask if everything was tasty. We felt like welcome guests. Thank you!

Very bad food I do not like it at all, it does not taste like Indian food and everything is overpriced

Went there two times. Food was okish, not really interesting taste wise and looked suspiciously like food coloring. Naan bread was still doughy. Staff was friendly, food arrived fast and atmosphere is fine.

I visited at this restaurant with my family. We ordered some vegetarian dishes and also a chicken dish there. I really liked the Bhindi masala, it was so delicious. Karahi Paneer and Chicken tikka masala were also tasty. The staff was very friendly and nice to their guests. Highly recommended !

Very nice restaurant with great food and friendly atmosphere. The two of us had the thali menu and were absolutely thrilled with the quality. There were three dishes with chicken and three with lamb. Everything was delicious and when we couldn't finish it all, it wasn't a problem to take the rest with us. When we are back in Augsburg we will definitely visit again.

recently visited this Restaurant and it was an absolute delight! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff were incredibly attentive. Eigentlich ein schönes Restaurant im 1. Stock Nähe Hauptbahnhof. Leider war es sehr kalt im Restaurant. Unser reserviertenr Platz war im kleinen Erker, umgeben von Fenstern und definitiv zu kalt. Wir durften uns umsetzen, aber wärmer wurde es nicht. Kein Wunder, die Heizkörper waren auch aus und wurden auf Wunsch der Gäste auch nicht eingeschaltet. Die typische Vorspeise mit Brot und Saucen gab es wohl nur für mehr als 2 Gäste am Tisch, wir gingen leer aus. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war leider nur lauwarm, das Nanbrot verbrannt. Da gibt es weitaus bessere indische Restsurants in Augsburg, wo man nicht friert.

I was encouraged to visit The Royal Indian from previous reviews on TripAdvisor, especially as they had come from fellow Brits. We know our curry. It was the best curry I have had outside of the UK. I was delighted to also meet the owner, a lovely lady from New Delhi who told me this is the second restaurant she has opened in Germany. The service was unbelievably quick and I demolished the curry (I had chicken tikka masala with a request of making it hotter, onion bhaji and garlic naan) with two lovely pints of Paulaner. And then I had some ice cream. Yum yum. Sadly my mate who I was travelling with had a touch of the man-flu so was unable to join me. He’ll be gutted in the morning when I regale my tale.

Walking through Augsburg and already a little fed up with so much meat we saw this Indian and it was a total success, small quiet with some good menus in terms of quantity and flavor, very delicious chicken with mango. Place near the station, very simple but pleasant and above all with good food.

Our first night in Germany and we went for Indian food! Maybe not such a good idea as the grilled chicken starter was horrifically salty. I could hardly eat it. My husband had a lamb main which was delicious and I had butter chicken - big mistake! It was so unbearably salty - as if the chef had spilt the salt in it. Unlike any butter chicken I have ever had before. My husband shared his lamb sauce with me and we got through it. The rice was good. Friendly lady in charge of restaurant. She said she would tell the chef the food was salty. Hmmm I can cook better Indian cuisine at home than we had here. Very disappointing. We were the only customers eating in there.

I ate a vegan thali (= 6 different vegetable dishes) for 2 people twice. One dish was better than the other. Terrific!!! Price-performance ratio was also right. The service was very friendly. I can only recommend this Indian restaurant.

The menu offers a wide range of Indian dishes. The food was very good. The level of spiciness is queried and is correct. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the service was also very good.

I waited 50 minutes for delivery for fried chicken noodles. They were lukewarm. Cost: €16.90 (!) for one portion. We don't need to talk about portion size, right? I think pictures say it all. The fact that the tiny bowl wasn't even completely full is actually a disgrace. You won't find any vegetables or any other creative ingredients in this dish. In terms of taste, it's just okay, deliciously seasoned, but without any unique selling point. I didn't expect much, but I was still disappointed. I won't order here again. It's a shame that you're telling your customers something like that.

Visited on a Saturday night during a trip to Augsburg for Euros. The food was absolutely fantastic & the service even better. Staff were lovely - not invasive at all and no hard sell. It is also a beautiful restaurant ( up about 7 or 8 stairs but manageable and I use a walking stick) We had two mains with rice & naan, 2 diet cokes for. €42 - excellent value. If you are in Augsbirg, we would highly recommend.

Everything was perfect, very good Indian food.

Unfortunately, the Royal India couldn't really convince us. We had the vegetable pakora as a starter which was really tasty and I couldn't fault it. Unfortunately, things are a little different with the main courses. We once had the Channa Masala (which here has an almond sauce), as well as an eggplant dish (which I couldn't find on the menu online so don't know the name) and two naan. The channa was more of a soup than a gravy and had hardly any flavor other than a slight spiciness. The second dish, which was marked as 'strongly spiced' on the menu, also only had a bit of heat and not much else. The naan could also have tasted like more - there were just a few leaves of arugula scattered on it. All in all, we were really disappointed with the taste here. And unfortunately I can't agree with the many very good reviews here.

Simply great! The chicken at Butter Chicken was nice and soft and there was plenty of food for the price. But I almost liked the staff the most! There were always jokes and good topics of conversation. I would definitely recommend it :)
