Just bad. More like a snack bar. The only thing that was ok was the service. We were the only ones in the shop and had to wait almost 50 minutes for four pizzas that, due to their dimensions, are served as children's pizzas in other restaurants. The taste is slightly better than that of frozen pizza. Unfortunately very disappointing.
If you're looking for something for a business meal, Pio may not be the right place for you, but we order here very regularly because the pasta in particular always fills you up and usually tastes quite good. There is also the option to order larger (1 1/2) portions, which will satisfy even the biggest hunger. I can't recommend pizza, I never really liked it
We are always amazed by this wonderful restaurant! The quality of the food is excellent, the dishes are prepared with a lot of love and taste simply fantastic. Particularly noteworthy is the incredibly friendly and attentive staff, who warmly welcome us every time. We always feel welcome here and enjoy the cozy atmosphere. A big compliment to the entire team – we’ll always be happy to come back!”
Great food, whether pizza, pasta, or meat. But the service leaves a lot to be desired and is quite inattentive. When we were ordering, the waiter was constantly distracted by outside activity and didn't pay any attention to us at all. All the drinks were simply placed at the front of the table, and we had to serve them ourselves. The same thing happened with the food. The service needs to improve a bit there.
Prices are generally okay, except for a few outliers. For example, 1 liter of still water costs the equivalent of just under 12 euros. 1 liter of beer, on the other hand, costs only 9.60 euros. It's a bit odd.
If I were to rate the pizza alone, it would be more stars, but we came to the store at 8:30 p.m. on a Tuesday and it was completely empty. There was only lasagne and pizza, which is understandable at some point, but during our entire stay the two employees loudly discussed a variety of topics and got excited. This does not correspond to the service concept of a restaurant, which is also very expensive (over €5 for a currant spritzer). At some point around 9:30 p.m. the music stopped, which was a clear sign that we should finally leave. I think the place would have potential if it were run differently and put the guest first!
I've been there several times. Whether it's pasta or pizza, it's always been delicious. All the staff are very friendly, and the service is fast. I like the atmosphere. Since it's always busy, reservations are definitely recommended.
What can I say: entering a restaurant in Germany greeted with a "good evening" already puts me in a good mood, if then the waiter starts humming Santa Lucia, we are on the right track. The place is well-kept (the exterior is definitely attractive) and the staff is friendly and helpful. I had the grilled rib eye (perhaps a little beyond my concept of blue) definitely of good quality. Recommended!
