A Delicate Lunch at a Munich Bistro
It's called a bistro because it's truly tiny. It's just one room, including an open kitchen, with about 5 or 6 tables. The menu is a blackboard; you order by placing it in front of you. The relaxed French music and rustic chairs create a truly soothing atmosphere.
There's only one appetizer, and it's only available for dinner.
There are three main courses: two meat and one vegetable. Lunch is 3-4 euros cheaper than dinner.
There are two desserts, 1 euro cheaper for lunch than dinner.
French cheese is also available.
For our main courses, we chose steak and squid. The presentation and portions were exquisite. Four steaks + a few slices of morel mushrooms + two white asparagus spears + whole-grain rice cakes. Four baby squid + a few slices of white radish + two small potatoes + fish roe + a few slices of dark bread. The cooking and seasoning were excellent, especially the seafood with its unique lemon-infused broth. It was delicious, but the portions were too small; even the girls didn't feel very full.
The dessert met the highest Chinese standard for desserts: "not too sweet." The black sesame cream was fragrant, and the combination of biscuits, cream sauce, and pickled kumquats was fresh and delicious.
We've always loved coming here – the bar was one of our favorite places for a long time. The food and drinks were really great at first, and even when the menu was downsized, the selection was still impressive.
Unfortunately, that has changed significantly since then. Currently, there's only one vegetarian burger on the menu, and unfortunately, no vegan option anymore. The remaining burger didn't really impress us – neither me (a vegetarian) nor my partner, who usually really enjoys the burgers here.
We think that's a real shame, because the bar has always had a great atmosphere and has always been a culinary highlight. We sincerely hope that the vegetarian and vegan offerings will be expanded in the future – then we would definitely come back more often.
The service is still excellent, and the drinks are great too. But as we all know, without something to eat, you can't drink much either :(
Given the excellent overall rating (4.9), we were full of anticipation as we drove off the A9 to try a truly delicious pizza. Unfortunately, we can't quite understand the overwhelmingly positive reviews. While the toppings were made with fresh ingredients, the pizza overall was very cheesy and reminded us more of a slightly better doner kebab. As huge Italian and pizza fans, we can only give this place 3 stars for taste. The ambiance outside, opposite the soccer field, is lovely, and there's plenty of parking. It was a shame that the drinks weren't served until the pizza arrived—after the appetizer—even though it wasn't very busy.
Outstanding. A true hidden gem. Great service. Quiet, relaxed and warm atmosphere. Presentation of the food is great. But it tastes even better than it looks. It’s extraordinary. You could not cook this good yourself, if you tried. Feels like the quiet recluse of a star cook and his partner. Maybe it is.
The food is incredibly delicious. The service is pleasant, attentive, and the pick-up option is also wonderful. You should allow yourself some time, because as soon as you arrive at the restaurant, all the dishes are freshly prepared and are practically still hot when eaten.
I love ordering from there...
Yesterday, I strolled into Kulinariat for lunch and enjoyed the excellent lunch menu prepared by Johannes Höcherl and his small but very capable kitchen team, including the wonderful service from Stefanie Fritz. From the leek tarte tatin to the char burger and the wonderfully fresh, lemony dessert, it was simply a fantastic lunch!
Very nice place. I had a dürüm and wow, it was amazing!
The meat was fantastic with a juicy, crispy cinnamon flavor, simply divine! The vegetables were fresh and the sauces were very well seasoned.
Highly recommended.
We were here for the first time today and were absolutely thrilled. As vegetarians, we had plenty of options. The food was fantastic, and the service was very friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed everything in the beautiful ambiance. Highly recommended and would gladly return.
It had been a long time since my last visit, but I was glad to be back. Delicious small dishes, good wine, and a great selection of other drinks. The service was quick and friendly.
