Taj Mahal indische Restaurant in Traunreut

Wir waren schon öfter dort indisch essen. Es war immer unglaublich lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich. Gestern waren wir mit Freunden aus Rheinland Pfalz dort die auch sehr begeistert waren. Ich freu mich auf den nächsten Besuch dort. Liebes Taj Mahal Team, macht unbedingt so weiter! 😀

Wir haben zwei Essen bestellt. Lieferung war OK. Das Butterchicken war total süß, so habe ich das noch nie gegessen. Die Soße musste ich entsorgen, schade drum.

Wir waren unter der Woche zum Mittagsangebot dort und sind absolut begeistert. Für einen wirklich fairen Preis bekommt man Zugang zu einem kleinen Buffet mit einer tollen Auswahl an authentischen indischen Spezialitäten. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Qualität und der Geschmack der Speisen. Alles war frisch, aromatisch und hervorragend gewürzt. Die Auswahl war zwar überschaubar, dafür aber durchweg lecker und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Als jemand, der normalerweise sehr gerne Fleisch isst, muss ich besonders die vegetarischen Gerichte hervorheben. An diesem Tag haben sie mir sogar noch besser geschmeckt als das Fleischgericht, und das will bei mir wirklich etwas heißen. Die Vielfalt der Gewürze und die perfekt abgestimmten Aromen haben mich komplett überzeugt. Wer mittags lecker indisch essen möchte, findet hier ein ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und richtig gutes Essen. Klare Empfehlung, wir kommen gerne wieder! 🇮🇳🍛😊

Wir hatten 1x Vindaloo und ein vegetarisches Gericht. Letzteres war ganz gut aber das Vindaloo war nur mäßig scharf und wurde nicht mit Kartoffeln wie üblich zubereitet/serviert. Irgendwie fehlt immer der gut gewürzte Pep und die schärfe...

es is mir ein Rätsel warum hier so wenig los ist – einer der besten Indern, super sweetes und großzügiges Personal; preislich absolut in Ordnung! Immer wieder schön hier zu sein!

Nachdem ich zuvor leider eine sehr schlechte Erfahrung gemacht hatte, hat sich der Chef bei mir gemeldet und mir angeboten, dem Restaurant eine zweite Chance zu geben. Das fand ich wirklich sehr nett und alles andere als selbstverständlich. Bei der erneuten Bestellung durfte ich ein zusätzliches Gericht nehmen, da meine Freundin mitgegessen hat. Das Essen war diesmal richtig lecker, alles frisch, geschmacklich top und so, wie man es sich wünscht. Man merkt, dass die Kritik ernst genommen wurde. Genau so sollte es laufen.

Super leckeres Essen, tolles Restaurant. Davon sollte es mehr geben. :-) Besonders toll ist, dass es so viele vegetarische Gerichte gibt. Ich empfehle die 66. :-)

Mittags-Buffet zu sehr günstigem Preis: vier wechselnde Gerichte zur Auswahl, dazu Suppe, Vorspeise, Salat, Nachspeise - alles frisch und lecker zubereitet, und großteils (nämlich zwei Hauptgerichte, meist die Suppe, und der gesamte Rest sowieso) für Vegetarier geeignet. Dazu ein geräumiges, nett eingerichtetes Restaurant und eine sehr freundliche Bedienung. Klare Empfehlung!

Wir waren total überrascht, so authentisches Punjabi-/indisches Essen in Deutschland zu finden… Wir hatten vorher schon einiges probiert, aber das war mit Abstand das beste Essen, das wir hier hatten. Die Atmosphäre und das Ambiente mit der dezenten Musik waren ebenfalls fantastisch. Ein absolutes Muss!

Absolutes Lieblingslokal. Hervorragende, Authentische Speisen. Freundliches Personal und total niedliches Ambiente. Alles top! Wir lassen uns auch öfter etwas liefern und auch da ist alles super. Immer schnell ,lecker und heiß. Immer wieder gerne!

Das Essen war wirklich Prima. Reis bekommt man aufgefüllt, sodass man auch sicher satt wird. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Der Service dauert manchmal etwas länger für das 2. Getränk oder das bezahlen. Im Großen und Ganzen aber wirklich ein gutes Restaurant, was die Stadt Kulinarisch bereichert. Im Winter sollte aber mehr geheizt werden, es war schon etwas frisch.

Hi Leute, heut mal eine Rezession die ich gerne mit 💕 mache. Wer mich kennt weiß dass ich immer offen und ehrlich bewerte. So auch heute: Wir hatten heute einfach mal Lust das "neue" (gibt's aber schon paar Tage 😉 ) Lokal zu testen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und zu unserem Platz gebracht. Gleich vorweg, alle Tische sauber und keinerlei Flecken zu sehen. Auch die Hussen auf sämtlichen Stühlen ohne auch nur einen Fleck. Sauberkeit schon mal 5*****. Sehr schnell kam dann auch die Speisekarte, die uns Ibrahim überreichte (brav, den Damen zuerst 😊). Bestellung aufgegeben und dann gespannt warten was kommt (Spoileralarm....MEGA Essen 🤩). Ich habe bereits indisch gegessen und muss sagen hier schmeckt es einfach. Nicht so MASSIV Currylastig wie in anderen Lokalen, sondern eher dezent, aber auch nicht so dezent dass es fade oder langweilig schmeckt. Keiner von uns musste nachwürzen. Von der Vorspeise, über den Hauptgang bis zum Dessert bzw. Kaffee....alles war sehr gut ausgewogen. Vor allem das Fleisch war ein Gaumenschmaus 🥰. Butterweich, und trotzdem war die Kruste der Ente zum Beispiel knusprig. Bilder sprechen mehr als tausend Worte....Fakt, wir waren begeistert, von der Portion, vom Geschmack, einfach von allem. Speziell die herzliche Art von Ibrahim hat uns dazu bewogen das Lokal zu unseren Top 5 aufzunehmen. Ein/zwei Wermutstropfen gibt es allerdings, jetzt zur kalten Jahreszeit (Ende November) sollte es doch warm sein in einem Lokal, wir haben doch etwas gefroren 🥶. Und dass beim Wasserhahn in der Herrentoilette mehr ein kleiner Springbrunnen ist anstatt ein Wasserstrahl kommt und das Trockengebläse nicht geht sollte auch nicht sein. Hier sollte nachgebessert werden, da es doch den Gesamteindruck etwas dämpft. Hier MUSS der Besitzer nachbessern. Um zum Schluss zu kommen, hier kann man in schöner Atmosphäre einfach gut essen zu einem sehr guten Preis. Wir waren NICHT zum letzten Mal hier 😁. Wie man auf den Bildern sehen kann, hat das Restaurant eine etwas seltsame Tischanordnung – die Tische stehen sehr nah beieinander, sodass es praktisch keine Privatsphäre gibt. Nachdem wir bestellt hatten, hat das Essen ziemlich lange auf sich warten lassen. Viele der Mitarbeiter sprechen kaum Deutsch, was die Kommunikation erschwert. Zum Essen: Die Portionen sind für den Preis überraschend klein, und die Qualität würde ich mit etwa 5 von 10 bewerten. Ich wollte diesem Restaurant trotzdem eine Chance geben, wurde aber leider enttäuscht. Für mich steht fest: Ich komme nicht wieder.

Essen war sehr lecker und mussten auch nicht lange warten. Ein sehr netter und aufmerksamer Kellner (Ibrahim). Alles in allem einen tollen Abend gehabt und sehr gut gegessen. Danke

Schade es sollte heute mein Geburtstag drin gefeiert werden mit gutem Essen. Stattdessen bekamen wir unser Essen erst nach 1 Stunde und 45 Minuten. Dann war das Essen leider auch noch völlig Geschmacklos. Es ist sehr schade da ich auch andere indische Restaurants kenne und hier wurde ich komplett enttäuscht.

Unfortunately, broccoli doesn’t belong to any common indian dishes. Our chicken tandoori and chicken tikka was served with vegetables rather than onions and lemon. It was ok food. Belongs to rest 80% of ‘Okayish’ Indian restaurants in Germany.

Nice restaurant and good food, What more could you want?

Every now and then we feel like Indian food and like to drive over to Traunreut for it. The quality and taste of the many dishes are excellent. I would particularly like to emphasize the extremely friendly and courteous service. The restaurant also has a garden or backyard where you can enjoy your meal in a very quiet and pleasant way.

There are no stars from me! Why? We ordered collection online, everything was confirmed, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed! I still haven't got my money back 3 weeks and 5 phone calls later! Super unprofessional!

Unfortunately we were there for the second and last time. There were 3 of us with three different dishes and all three were completely tasteless. It's a shame because Indian cuisine has great spices. I ordered my food extra spicy, but it was just tomatoey and didn't actually taste like anything... As a tip, I would recommend offering a lunch menu on Saturdays too, then there might be something going on in the restaurant.

Very good Indian restaurant with super nice service, very tasty food, nice ambience and good price/performance ratio. We were there for lunch and ate the lunch buffet. We will definitely come back for dinner soon. If you like it spicier, you should specify this when ordering, otherwise the food will be rather mildly seasoned.

The service was really nice and very attentive. We always checked whether we were happy with everything or whether we needed anything else. The food was very tasty and seemed homemade and authentic. We all enjoyed the sauces and you could taste so many spices. The many VEGETARIAN dishes are particularly positive. All of which are so different and special.

Five of us had dinner here with starters, main courses and sweet dishes. Everything tasted delicious and we had a wonderful evening with a great atmosphere. Many thanks to the operators, we'll be happy to come back!

It's a shame that the city isn't completing the construction site faster. This means that there will definitely be a lot fewer guests because it is in front of their restaurant. I have never had better Indian food anywhere. Top chefs! The waitresses are the most polite I have ever met. Some waiters should do something for themselves. (I'm a server myself) They are not intrusive, but are always present. A heartfelt MEGA compliment! Keep it up. I was asked if I like my food spicy. Got this one. When my food came, the waiter brought me extra green chili in case I wanted it more spicy. (Maybe it wasn't chilli, but it was green and it was really good, I forgot what he said it was). This is the kind of service you want. And on top of that, it didn't cost any more. Unfortunately, the whole meal was too much for me. I was eating alone. I was immediately asked if I wanted to have it packed. The ambience is as it should be! They have a lovely little beer garden.

The food is great, the menu is impressive, including the vegetarian options and the lunch menu. We were very impressed by the courteous service. Our food came quickly, first of all with attention from the kitchen and we were very satisfied with the lamb, fish, scampi curry and the veggie cheese. The ambience leaves nothing to be desired, although the outdoor dining area is quite authentic. You have to like it, but that was the case for us. It's just a shame that the Fisher King and Cobra beer were no longer available. But the drinks menu quickly provided an alternative.

We went to Traunreut with my husband for a short vacation. And happened to see the restaurant. We liked it very much! Very nice service, very tasty food. It's a shame that the construction site simply obscures the restaurant and thus ruins business. When we are here again we will definitely come again. Thank you very much!!!

Recently I visited the hotel since I was staying close to it. What we liked most? My answer would be everything from food till servicing time and how the handle the customer. They were very polite , and the food way really tasty. We visited twice. I would recommend anyone visiting cheimsee must visit the hotel and feel the taste of indian food. !!

Herzlicher Empfang, freundliches und sehr hilfsbereites Personal, das Restaurant selbst hat ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente, wir haben einige Gerichte probiert und es hat uns im Vergleich zu anderen indischen Restaurants, in denen wir waren, sehr gut gefallen. Die Preise sind sehr vernünftig. Ich empfehle und wann immer ich eine Reise durch Traunreut habe, werden wir dort anhalten und essen.

Schwer begeistert und satt bin ich gestern bei diesem indischen Restaurant raus. Der beste Inder, bei dem ich bisher war, frisches knackiges Gemüse, Lammfleisch mager, zart und nicht durchwachsen (da hatte ich schon ganz anderes) zu normalen Preisen. Sehr guter, freundlicher und nicht aufdringliche Service. Ambiente hat noch nen Tick Luft nach oben. Ich kann das Lokal uneingeschränkt empfehlen und werde wiederkommen!

Das Butter chicken schmeckt mehr nach Jogurt als nach sonst irgendwas. Der Reis hatte absolut keinen Geschmack und war unfassbar wässrig. Das einzige was zumindest einen Stern verdient war das Knoblauch naahn. Leider nicht noch mal

Essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Musik war nach meinem empfinden etwas zu laut aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Wir waren jetzt bereits zum dritten Mal in dem Lokal. Die Einrichtung ist klassisch für ein indisches Restaurant. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Man fühlt sich auf alle Fälle willkommen. Das Essen, wir haben wirklich quer durch die Speisekarte bestellt war sehr lecker. Auch unsere Vegetarierin ist voll auf Ihre Kosten gekommen. Wir hatten alle zur gleichen Zeit unser Essen bekommen (wir waren 5 Personen) Zum Schluss hat auch das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis voll überzeugt. Ich kann dieses Lokal nur wärmstens empfehlen, wenn man mal was anderes ausprobieren will.

Semi gutes Restaurant. Ich liebe indische Küche und hab schon aus deutlich besseren Restaurant etwas zu essen geholt. Ich habe mir ein Thali bestellt - hat sehr langweilig geschmeckt - was echt ungewöhnlich ist für die indische Küche. Nicht sehr stilvolle Inneneinrichtung.

Bin in der Region im Urlaub und kann dieses Restaurant sehr empfehlen. Gute Auswahl am Gerichten. Geschmacklich war das Essen auch sehr gut. Der Service war sehr freundlich.

Echt toll. Haben neulich durch Zufall auf Lieferando von dem neuen Restaurant erfahren - gleich mal was bestellt, hute Portionen und guter Geschmack!! Dadurch hab ich gleich mal meine Eltern mit ins Restaurant genommen um mehr zu probieren und allen hats sehr gut geschmeckt!!! Gute Auswahl, sehr nettes Personal , nur zu empfehlen:))
