I wanted to go to a Greek restaurant again, but unfortunately the food was okay—so far, it was good. The service was good and really attentive.

I ordered an octopus salad today, but unfortunately, the large pieces were very tough. I mentioned it to the server twice, but the only response was: "I passed it on to the kitchen." It's no use. I paid the full bill. I won't be visiting this restaurant again.

Wow, a highly recommended Greek restaurant with extremely friendly staff. The food was delicious, and cleanliness is a top priority. Right next door is a small city playground, accessible through a garden gate.

Griechisches Restaurant Athen – einfach außergewöhnlich! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nach langer Suche nach einem guten Abendessen sind wir im Restaurant Athen in Traunreut gelandet – und es war ein Volltreffer! Trotz vollem Haus bekamen wir sofort einen Platz, und der Kellner organisierte uns sogar einen schönen Tisch draußen. Kaum saßen wir, wurden wir direkt nach Getränken gefragt – kein Warten, perfekter Service. Die Atmosphäre war unglaublich angenehm – niemand wird hier nach dem Aussehen beurteilt, man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen. Es war unser erstes Erlebnis mit der griechischen Küche, und es hat uns sofort begeistert. Das Essen war köstlich – einfach himmlisch! Wir kommen auf one Fall wieder. Ein großes Kompliment an den Chef und das gesamte Team – höflich, freundlich und absolut professionell. Und zum Abschluss gab es noch ein nettes Geschenk vom Chef persönlich – das war die sprichwörtliche Kirsche auf der Torte. Fünf Sterne sind eigentlich zu wenig. Einfach GREAT! Greek Restaurant Athen – an absolutely unique place! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After a long search for a place to have dinner, we ended up at the Athen restaurant in Traunreut – and it was a bullseye! Despite the full room, a table was found for us very quickly, and the waiter even arranged a place outside. The service was lightning fast – we had barely sat down before we could already order drinks. The atmosphere in the restaurant was incredibly pleasant – no one judges anyone by their appearance, everyone feels welcome. It was our first encounter with Greek cuisine and we immediately fell in love with the flavors. The food was delicious – simply mouthwatering! We will definitely come back. Huge applause for the chef and the entire staff – full culture, courtesy and cordiality. And at the end – a nice surprise from the chef himself, which was literally the “cherry on the cake”. 5 stars is not enough. Simply GREAT!

For me, this is the best Greek restaurant in the area. The gyros, in particular, are second to none. The owner is a one-of-a-kind and an excellent host.

We had reserved a table, but there were more people, so we were immediately given a larger table. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly.

We are disappointed. Gyros were dry and the grilled meat was tough. Lemongrass dish was only in vegetable broth and it was a soup instead of sauce. The side salads were all inedible. It was probably due to the herb and the herb baguette was hard. There were four of us and we paid almost 90 euros for a bad meal.

5 stars, if I could give more I would. We arrived today for vacation and looked for a restaurant and found this one, we are absolutely thrilled, apart from the great service, the food was absolutely great and the portions were more than sufficient. We will definitely come back here. Keep it up.

Top cuisine: whether it's gyros, lamb or grilled dishes - it's simply perfect! And the service is even better! Unfortunately I can't give it six stars. The atmosphere in the company is transmitted to the customer: it's simply fun to eat here, have a drink and spend your time here. Therefore: my absolute recommendation!

Here you can eat really well and be treated very nicely, like a welcome guest, which is unfortunately no longer a given. The selection is large and the price-performance ratio is unbeatable.

We came without a reservation on a Saturday night, the crew was very helpful to find us a table. The menu was wxtensive and the food was very very good, and all staff were very friendly. Definitely a place for a family, for a business gathering or a nigh-out with beloved one.

A nice restaurant to go to with the family. The food is delicious and the portions are huge. Please take this into consideration when ordering. I recommend you to try the white wine as well.

August 2024 It was so tasty and good again. We had very nice support from an employee. Be sure to reserve a table. We'll be back!!! November 2023 We had a very tasty meal and would love to come back. The bill was 37 euros for gyros with fries and calamari with rice and a salad each. Drinks included. I recommend making a table reservation in advance. Even in the middle of the week all the tables were occupied.

Highly Recommended!!! Price-performance is unsurpassed. We were very surprised by the portion size, the freshness and the speed of preparation, and of course all the dishes were perfectly seasoned. Ambience is very pleasant with spacious design and music at an appropriate volume. There is a large covered terrace and even a small playground. Very friendly service, who always appeared at the table at the perfect moment.

We were there for lunch and ate outside, which was really great. The outside area was covered with an awning so you didn't have to sit in the blazing sun. The grill plate I had was extremely tasty and the service staff was very attentive and nice.

Good food at reasonable prices and cheerful staff. Greek coffee as it should be. There are some really good Greek restaurants here in the county. But if you want something Greek again, then Athens in Traunreut is my first choice. Everything is right for me here.

wir waren am ostersonntag mit den kindern, 6 personen, zum abendessen dort. die vorspeise war gut aber die hauptspeise war schlecht. wir hatten 6 fleischgerichte bestellt. 3 portionen konnte man irgendwie essen aber die anderen 3 prtionen konnte man weder schneiden noch essen. wir haben sowas noch nicht gehabt. ägerlich denn die kinder 4 personnen hatten eine anreise von 500 km. für uns ist dieses kapitel abgeschlossen. danke

There is nothing to complain about the service. However, I found the food to be rather average. I ordered the grill plate. Personally, I found the gyros too salty, the skewered meat was dry and tough, the minced steak was very burnt and I had to cut off the black part.

The food was again super tasty (we had gyros and grilled dishes), by far the best Greek! The portions are very large, but we just had the rest packed up. The staff is super nice, always up for fun and really quick! we're looking forward to next time! :)

Food was very good if it weren't for the fries and the standard squid rings. I would prefer combination of rings and baby calamaria. Greek food includes fried potatoes. The gyros were fantastic as was the tzatziki. And the price was right.

Good food, attractively presented. The service is excellent, you receive good advice and requests for changes are no problem. Reservations are highly recommended, as depending on the event, k1 can be very busy. Furnishings are modern and functional - open and cozy. Recommended!

The food was pretty basic, but it was better.

We were there in a small group of 8 people. The dishes were all served at the same time and were very tasty. I didn't hear any negative opinions except that the portions were a bit too big (a matter of perspective, I ate the portion). The service was also extremely nice. The atmosphere is clean and tidy. Seit dem Umzug größer und moderner,dadurch aber nicht mehr so gemütlich wie der alte Standort. Der Service ist weiterhin sehr herzlich und aufmerksam.Trotz des enormen Gästeaufkommens UND parallelem regen Ausser-Haus-Verkauf war das Essen super schnell auf dem Tisch,es war alles sehr schmackhaft und die Portionen sind reichlich bemessen. Das Preis/Leistungs Verhältniss ist außerordentlich gut. Man fühlt sich dort immer willkommen und wenn ich in Traunreut bin ist ein Besuch dort ein Muss Vielen Dank ans ganze Team
