The food was high-quality and delicious. The prices are also reasonable. The service was friendly. However, we had to wait a very long time (30 minutes) for our starter (bruschetta) and then another 30 minutes for the main course (pasta dish)... This was despite the fact that it wasn't very busy yet, as they had just opened. The atmosphere upstairs is quite nice, but when it gets a bit crowded, it gets very loud.
The food was not good at all. The roast beef was marbled, the gravy tasted artificial, and the spaetzle probably came from a packet.
A simple bottle of water costs over €4.
Unfortunately, the cattle have to live in a small stable with a concrete floor. On top of that, it's so dirty that it gives the impression that hardly any cleaning is done. Furthermore, the droppings stick to/hang all over the cattle's buttocks and legs. Simply horrible.
The (women's) restrooms are awful! You sit in the dark because there's no light at all in the stalls, and the toilet seats are broken. The water in the toilet isn't clear, but yellow/brown.
There's no toilet paper holder. There are no paper towels for drying hands either, so instead, there's toilet paper on the sink.
The changing mat in the hallway is also completely dirty and sandy. The baby ends up dirtier than before.
Overall, the Bierhelderhof is simply run-down and far too expensive.
Card payments aren't accepted, only cash.
The service isn't interested in you either.
The value for money is simply not there.
The only positive thing is the green surroundings.
I'll definitely never be back.
Ordered from 5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. After an hour they called to say something had gone wrong and whether we still wanted the food.
I said it wasn't bad and that they should bring the food.
At 7:45 p.m. we got a call that the food we wanted was not available. Whether they should even bring the rest of the food. After we ordered a replacement meal (it was 3.50 cheaper than the one we wanted), the entire meal finally arrived at 8:20 p.m., unfortunately only lukewarm. They embezzled the 3.50 that was transferred too much.
The driver, who was very nice, got a tip from me because he was very nice and couldn't help it.
By the way, a nice website. I don't think we'll give Flora another chance.
Cold burgers and salty fries again. I think it's a shame that it happens again and again that you are served cold and therefore not fresh burgers. In addition, many tables were unclean. The staff was nice and friendly. Maybe next time it will be better
While it's quite cheap compared to nearby restaurants, the chef behind the counter doesn't even look at you when you walk in. The food is mediocre, and the atmosphere inside is anything but friendly.
I had the Massamann Thai style curry. It was just disgusting. The sauce is a thick paste, no fresh vegetables in it, apart from completely overcooked carrots. The plate was sticky. I left the dish almost completely alone. The ambience was worn out and seemed rancid. I wouldn't eat here again.
The double cheeseburger didn't taste bad, but it wasn't anything special either. It definitely lacked salt. The burger was also too stuffed, so much so that the ingredients occasionally slipped out. The fries for €5.50, which were the "cheapest," didn't taste great at all. They were dry and bland. Drinks are standard: cheap syrup, all-you-can-drink machine. The atmosphere is so-so, well, a bit lifeless, I'd say. The place is also pretty empty every time. Bottom line: €21.50 for a burger (€12), fries (€5.50), and a drink is too much. You can try it once, and that's about it.
Yooo!! Finally a good pizzeria in Heidelberg! It was me and my work colleagues for a quiet evening. I would say it's a great place for this type of dinner, even for couples. The environment is clean and overall ok, not very well-kept but the atmosphere is relaxing, with loud Italian indie music in the background that allows you to have a pleasant conversation.
The service was excellent, the waitresses attentive, precise and calm. I had a Salami pizza, which is served thin and with a taste that is very close to an authentic pizza, and a couple of beers. Not very abundant, but it cost me 22 euros in total, therefore affordable.
As an Italian I have never heard a pizza called Octopussy, but apart from that I would say they can keep the PIZZERIA sign up. If you are passing by, you should definitely go and see the stones in the bathroom!
