Bierhelderhof Gutsschänke in Heidelberg

Hab mich sehr auf mein Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat für 17,90€ gefreut. Nachdem mein Pieper mir angezeigt hat, dass mein Essen fertig ist, machte ich mich auf den weg es zu holen, da im Biergarten Selbstabholung herrscht. An der Theke angekommen, sehe ich mein Essen auf einem Tablett, wie man es aus jeder Mensa kennt. Mein Schnitzel waren zwei nicht mal handgroße Schnitzel und die Pommes konnte ich an meinen beiden Händen abzählen. Der Salat hat auch nicht geschmeckt bin sehr enttäuscht.

Einfach schlecht. Mein 30 Euro Rumpsteak war nicht medium wie versprochen sondern durchgekocht und zeh. Und wer dieses Stueck Fleisch kennt würde sagen dass man da aus einem Rumpsteak zwei gemacht hat. Die Pommes waren trocken und hart.

Es wird immer schlechter mit einer ehemaligen sehr guten Gaststätte. Unfreundlichen Personal!

Vorsicht: Besitzer ganz offensichtlich gewechselt! Biergarten jetzt: - Kein Service mehr, Selbstabholung in der Gastwirtschaft. - Verdreckt: Vogelkot auf den Tischen und nicht geleerte Aschenbecher. - Stühle total unbequem, keine Polster. Getränke: - Sonntag, 35 Grad, Apfelsaftschorle bestellt und warmes Getränk bekommen! Essen: - Schnitzel Jäger Art mit Pommes bestellt: - Soße: Undefinierbare Maße, und sehr versalzen, sowie die Panade des Fleisches. - Das geniale Dressing für den Salat ist seit dem Wechsel ebenfalls Geschichte und völlig übersäuert! Ich bin nicht anspruchsvoll, allerdings sollten alle wissen, die den Bierhelderhof von vor ca. 2-3 Jahren kannten, das dieser nicht mehr zu erkennen ist. Wir werden als Rohrbacher dort nicht mehr einkehren.

Übelstes Essen an einem Ort, der schön sein könnte.

Biergarten mit Selbstbedienung in recht liebloser Gestaltung. Das einzig schöne ist die Aussicht Drumherum. Wir haben ein Schnitzel Wiener Art und ein Schnitzel Jäger Art bestellt. Dazu gab es Pommes (pappig, ungewürzt - die vom goldenen M wären deutlich leckerer gewesen) und ein recht lieblos gestalteter Beilagensalat. Die Schnitzel wohl in gewohnter Qualität (wenn man Bilder und Rezessionen vergangener Bewertungen sieht). Das Essen hätte man sich leider getrost sparen können. Schade!

Leider keine Bedienung vor Ort und deshalb gingen wir wieder ohne zu essen. Mit Einschränkungen in der Motorik kann ich meine Speisen und Getränke leider nicht selbst abholen! Schade, war früher ein toller Biergarten...

Abgestandene Getränke, Fertigschnitzel aus dem Supermarkt, Fertigspätzle dazu alles kalt und ungenießbar. Dafür auch noch für 3 Personen 70€ bezahlt. Nie wieder

Wir haben zu 3 knapp 70€ gezahlt, dafür haben wir fertig essen bekommen, dass zudem auch kalt war. Der Salat sah aus, als wäre er noch von gestern. Die Getränke waren zwar kühl, dennoch abgestanden. Die Wartezeit bis man das Essen bestellen konnte betrug 15 Minuten und war zudem sehr chaotisch. Das gegessene Essen von den Kunden lag auf den Tischen wo schon viele Fliegen ihre Eier drauf gelegt haben. NIE WIEDER!

Satz mit X Leider trotz angeblich geöffnet, leider geschlossen. Da war die Vorfreude und der Weg für die Katz.

Entspannend und angenehm im Biergarten ....

Der Biergarten liegt schön in der Natur, das gefällt. Leider sind Tische und Stühle im Biergarten stark abgenutzt und wirken ungepflegt. Der Wirt war eher genervt und nicht besonders freundlich. Meine Limo war warm (ich bekam eine neue), das Schnitzel war nach nur 5 Minuten fertig, schmeckte nach nichts und die Panade war richtig schlecht (Fritösenschnitzel). Bei Selbstbedienung und 23€ hätte ich einfach eine bessere Qualität und zumindest ein freundliches „Guten Tag“ erwartet. Schade.

Leckeres hausgemachtes Essen, keine Bedienung.

Eine wunderschöne Möglichkeit vor den Toren Heidelbergs unter riesigen Kastanien und Platanen zu sitzen. Man sitzt dort nicht nur gut, sondern man isst dort auch gut! Und man kan direkt zu einem Spaziergang starten. War eine sehr erfreuliche Entdeckung!

Gutes Mittag Essen nach einer Wanderung. Gastraum sauber, angenehme Bewirtung durch den Chef. Geht auf Änderungswünsche beim Essen ein. Biergarten ist aber selbstbedienung. Aber idyllisch.

Die Lage der Gaststätte ist sehr idyllisch und wunderbar. Leider hatte ich jedoch das Empfinden, dass der Zustand des Biergartens schon gepflegter war. Irgendwie wirkte alles marode und lieblos. Die Toilette war nicht so sauber , wie sie eigentlich sein sollte. Das Essen Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat nichts besonderes und der Preis zu hoch. Zumal man wirklich alles in Eigenregie organisieren muss. 100 % Selbstbedienung. Irgendwie war ich enttäuscht und hatte alles besser in Erinnerung! Der Wirt und das Thekenpersonal war freundlich. Sollten aber das Konzept überdenken.

Idyllischer geht's nicht! Super Biergarten im Grünen.

Rustikales Restaurant mit tollem Biergarten. Nur Barzahlung möglich. Der Kuchen ist ein Gedicht (Käsekuchen) und die wild und Fleischgerichte schmackhaft. Preis-Leistung ist in Ordnung für Heidelberg. Man kann auch Fleisch Pakete bestellen und kaufen. Nebenan sind schöne Wanderwege und die Kühe stehen auf der Weide und im Stall. Beim Biergarten herrscht Selbstbedienung, was uns nicht gestört hat.

Wetter war schön und wir saßen draußen im Biergarten unter Kastanien mit Blick auf die Wiese und den Rindern. Das Essen musste man sich selbst im Lokal abholen war aber keine Probleme und das Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salate und Rindfleisch in Meerretichsoße mit Kartoffeln und Salat.

Wenn man eine Stunde auf sein Essen wartet (in einem Restaurant was nicht mal annäherend voll ist) und Leute, die nach einem selbst bestellt haben vorher bedient werden, dann läuft in dem Laden gewaltig was falsch. Der "Chefkellner" ist auch denkbar unhöflich. Unser Pieper - ja man muss das Essen selber holen - hat angeschlagen, obwohl unser Essen nicht fertig war. Durften dann nochmal ein paar Minuten weiter hungern. Eine Entschuldigung/Erklärung seitens des Chefs ist auch ausgeblieben. Trauriger Fall von schöne Location, schlechter Laden.

Sehr gute deutsche Küche mit Schwerpunkt auf Rind- und Wildfleisch ( eigene Rinderzucht und regionales Wild). Rustikale Gaststube und herrlicher Biergarten. Gutes Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis. Punktabzug für die Sauberkeit in den Toiletten: Dazu gehört auch der Bereich wenn man dort Fenster öffnet !!

Biergarten mit wunderbaren Ausblick. Leider lässt sich der Service als unfreundlich und überfordert zusammenfassen. Essen durchschnittlich. Achtung, nur Barzahlung!

Ich rate jedem diesen Hof nicht zu unterstützen wenn einem Tiere am Herzen liegen. Der gestrige Vorfall mit diesem armen Rind hat einige Kinder verstört.

Nicht empfehlenswert. Meiner Meinung nach leben die Tiere dort nicht artgerecht, und auch das Essen hat mir persönlich leider nicht gut gefallen. Ich werde dort nicht mehr hingehen.

Ein Stern ist schon zu viel. Was sich dort heute abgespielt hat bricht einem Tierfreund das Herz🥲. Auf jeden Fall wird es eine schlaflose Nacht für meine Enkelkinder sein 😞

Schöne Lage ... aber abgestandenes Bier, kalte ungesalzene Nudeln und eine Speisekarte mit nur einem vegetarischen Gericht ... draußen ist Selbstbedienung, das ist o.k. Und es ging schnell.

Wir waren heute nach einer Wanderung wiedermal dort. Das Essen war wie immer , sehr gut und wir schnell bedient. Schöne Lage zwischen Wiesen und Wäldern.

Wir waren am Samstag mit 9 Personen Essen und uns hat es allen hervorragend geschmeckt sollten wir wieder in die Gegend kommen werden wir da sicher wieder einkehren

About two weeks ago, the three of us ate there in the evening. We had made a reservation, which wasn't necessary. It wasn't busy. They had several delicious meat dishes. It would probably be more difficult for vegetarians. The owner was very friendly. We'll definitely go again.

Traditional German cuisine. Meat from the region and from our own livestock.

I was here with my parents. We didn't have to wait long for the food, and it was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the Maultaschen (Swabian ravioli) if you don't want a big, heavy meal, and have a children's punch if you don't drink alcohol. For dessert, we had a slice of cherry cake, cheesecake, and apple crumble. You absolutely have to try them; the apple crumble was the best I've ever had, the cheesecake was incredibly fluffy, and the cherry cake had that wonderfully rich cherry flavor. Afterwards, we also bought some meat packages... IMPORTANT: You MUST pre-order them! Now we're all set for Christmas. I'll definitely be back.

A rustic inn; we come here especially for the goose dinner in winter! The goose breast or leg is absolutely delicious, served with baked apple (incredibly good, stuffed), red cabbage, and dumplings. The other dishes are also very good, and the price is right! The surrounding area is lovely for walks! We highly recommend the Bierhelder Hof!

I love visiting the Bierhelderhof; it's unique, very welcoming, and has a warm, family atmosphere. The ambiance is rustic yet inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely delicious, and I personally think it offers excellent value for money. There's a small farm shop, and the beer garden is open during the warmer months. After your meal, you can take a walk through the fields and woods; a path runs right alongside the farm. The farm's location is idyllic and rural. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We had a very good meal. Angus liver and beef with horseradish sauce. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. The service was very friendly. The beautiful location in the woods is perfect for a walk.

Contrary to the many negative reviews, we had a lovely end to our day at the Bierhelderhof. Every main course came with a side salad, the portions were generous, and the food was delicious. Sure, the decor, décor, and washrooms are debatable—but yes, that's what makes the place authentic. Everything doesn't always have to be sleek and polished to a high shine! The beer garden is certainly beautiful in the summer and the highlight of the place!

I was on Sunday 24.05.2020 and the experience was not a pleasant one. As we got there in the parking lot the first thing you feel is the very strong smell of shit coming from the animals, the staff together with the head of the restaurant is very unfriendly and the food overpriced. I'm not suggesting anyone to go.

Unfortunately, there's a staff shortage here, so the manager has to cook and take the cash. The employee behind the counter has nothing to do because they're not allowed to take the cash and therefore can't serve anything. You have to order your food/drinks inside, pay right away, and pick them up later when the pager goes off. - if you're sitting in the beer garden You wait over an hour for your food, and since the manager has to cook, other guests who want to order drinks are left empty-handed. We tried to order something three times and were turned away each time. It's a shame, because the beer garden is very nice and cozy. We left the beer garden empty-handed.

Absolutely unacceptable. Tables are overflowing with dirty dishes, tables and menus are dirty, there's no cake on the board... we won't go there anymore. Weißer Stein is a good alternative. Unfortunately, the Kohlhof is no longer there either. Heidelberg, unfortunately, has almost no nice beer gardens left!

We checked the website several times for opening hours, then set off on foot from Leimen, but found ourselves in front of a locked door with the laconic statement: "Closed due to staff shortages." We find it impossible; they could advertise something like that on the website. This wouldn't have existed before!

The Bierhelderhof beer garden is located in a beautiful natural setting. We ordered Maultaschen (ravioli) with salad. The three fried Maultaschen had a slightly sour taste and were swimming in an indefinable sauce whose flavor we didn't like. The side salad was also unconvincing. Tasty is a different story. We'd been there many years ago, and the food was better quality. Never again...

Unfortunately, I can't recommend it. The drinks menu and table were very sticky in the restaurant; you'd normally have to leave immediately. Ordering was quick and friendly. The food arrived quickly too. The rump steak was ordered medium, and it was cooked halfway through, so the other side was cooked through. Very annoying for almost €30, and it wasn't all that big. The schnitzel with mushrooms was horrible; I've never had such a bad mushroom sauce. The schnitzel wasn't cooked properly in the fat either. We won't be back and we don't recommend it.

Now self-service, the food is still delicious and you can enjoy a wonderful view of the pasture and cows when you sit outside. The trees provide shade even on hot days. One of the nicest beer gardens in Heidelberg. Always a pleasure.

I suppose the Bierhelderhof only lives off its location. It's truly magical; you sit under large chestnut trees with a view of the pastures next to the stables. Unfortunately, it doesn't have much else to offer. It was self-service, which wasn't a problem for us. Unfortunately, the portions were quite small. The goulash was good, but the salad with rump steak strips was a disappointment. The strips were hard, tough, and dry; the rest of the salad was partially wilted, and it was just ordinary coleslaw and carrot salad, which is outrageous for the hefty price of €18. Unfortunately, the toilets are rotten.

It was a weekday, rather quiet. The atmosphere, unfortunately, wasn't what it used to be. But it was still a beautiful place.

We wanted to treat ourselves again yesterday, in your beer garden.!!! We ordered two bratwursts. They weren't OK, just gristle, some of them several centimeters long...the meat was gray, tasteless, unseasoned...how can you produce and serve something like that!?!? At the next table, people were dissatisfied with the expensive steaks. They were tough and too rare...the whole visit to YOU was a disaster!!! Just keep it up, then YOU can close soon!!!

The quality of the food meets fast-food standards, while the management merely operates the cash register. Service is inadequate, customer focus is lacking, and cleanliness leaves much to be desired in all areas. The restrooms are in an unacceptable condition.

Unfortunately, the food here is not recommended! The frozen schnitzel was fried in the same pan as liver and tasted and smelled of liver. If you can't fry a frozen pressed schnitzel, you really don't need to run a restaurant. Simply awful! What a shame!

Nice location but dirty tables and chairs, food abysmal and expensive, service zero

The terrace with its large shady trees is lovely for a hot summer day. The rump steaks (we had three) were overpriced at over €28 each for their rather poor quality. The meat was dry and difficult to cut/chew. Furthermore, despite ordering medium-rare, the steaks were all cooked thoroughly. Not a hint of pink in the center. There's no service. OK, that's the concept. But it's not cozy. We had to order inside at the counter and pay directly, only in cash. Even to order, we had to wait 15 minutes because the staff was overwhelmed. They were apparently serving a larger group. Then you get a buzzer, and when the food is ready, you have to pick it up. Everything is placed on a large tray on the counter at once, which you then have to carry out yourself. My request to have the side salads served first was denied. The reason: "It doesn't fit into the schedule."

Delicious as always. Lovely, rustic comfort. You feel like you're on vacation, yet not far from home.

What's the point of having a "waitress" who just stands at the counter and takes the money? It wasn't actually self-service that day. We had to get the drinks ourselves. Almost all the tables were covered with empty glasses and plates. Nothing was brought or cleared.

Unlike in the past, the Bierhelderhof is not very busy. In the past, it was almost impossible to find a parking space outside, but this time we thought the farm had closed because the parking lot was almost empty. The menu is posted outside on a blackboard, and inside there are additional dishes listed on blackboards. In the restaurant, you order and pay in cash, take the drinks with you immediately, and are notified via pager when you can pick up the food. There were four of us and everyone enjoyed the food and the value for money was good. There seems to be only one landlord working there, and only one person in the kitchen. The landlord was very friendly, typed the orders into his app and took the payment, the pager worked perfectly, and we returned the dishes and used glasses. In the past, there was waitress service and a menu, but now things are also moving quickly, whereas before you often had to wait a long time, which could also have been due to the higher number of guests. With its current staff, the Bierhelderhof couldn't do much more. It's a shame that there's so little going on these days, and I hope the Bierhelderhof stays open for a long time! The beer garden is beautiful, furnished with wooden chairs and tables under old plane and chestnut trees, off the quiet access road. It feels like an idyllic rural setting. The Ehrenfriedhof Cemetery and Heidelberg-Rohrbach are within walking distance, and the Königstuhl is only about 5 km away. The pasture with the cattle borders the beer garden. Somehow, I still find it hard to believe that such an idyllic setting exists directly above Heidelberg and directly adjacent to Heidelberg-Boxberg, which is dominated by concrete buildings. The EMBL (European Medical Library) has been expanded across the street, but the EMBL buildings are well hidden by the forest and therefore not intrusive. Perhaps some branches and twigs could be removed from the beer garden, and the chairs could be washed from time to time. Otherwise, I still really like it here.

Very delicious food; I hunted fresh wild boar myself from the farmer. I can only recommend it.

I've never eaten such a bad rump steak. It was cooked well instead of medium. It came without onions, the meat was tough, and tasted awful. A disgrace for so much money. Never again.

I highly recommend this restaurant. We were there for lunch on Whitsun Sunday. We received a very friendly welcome; we had the roast beef with spaetzle and salad (it tasted as good as if my grandmother had cooked it). All I can say is, please visit this restaurant and the very pleasant and friendly host.

I stopped in today on a bike ride and it was a delightful. The owner was super friendly as were my fellow diners. It was cozy with a fire going on this cool day, and the meal was hearty and delicious. We will be back to enjoy the amazing biergarten on a warmer day. This is essential Germany -- friendly folks offering cozy atmosphere, tasty food and a fantastic beer.

The location is really nice and a good für spot are a walk. BUT: - Service is really unfriendly (we couldn't order extra portion fries) - they're really unorganized - food takes a VERY long time - price is a 15-20% too high for the portion and taste We've been here 10 years ago and nothing has changed. I'm surprised they stay in business for so long

The soup of the day was broth with noodles, for a lot of money...considering that half of it wasn't forgotten. It didn't taste particularly good either. The cakes were delicious.

Nachdem wir das Lokal von früher her kannten und immer sehr zufrieden waren, kehrten wir am 23.4.2025 zu fünft wieder einmal dort ein. Leider wurden wir sehr enttäuscht. Es gab u.a. Ochsenfleisch mit Meerrettichsoße und Salzkartoffeln, Rinderbraten mit Spätzle oder Käsespätzle. Die überraschend sehr schnell servierten Gerichte waren enttäuschend. Das Ochsenfleisch und der Rinderbraten waren zu unserem Erstaunen identisch. Nur die Fertigsoßen unterschieden sich. Ochsenfleisch mit Meerrettichsoße wird normalerweise gekocht, während es sich beim Rinderbraten um einen zarten Braten aus dem Backofen handelt. Die sogenannten Käsespätzle mit Zwiebelschmelz, waren Spätzle in einer Käsesoße. Die Beilagensalate stammten bis auf den Blattsalat aus Konserven. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Die Preise entsprechen nicht einem Ausflugslokal, sondern nähern sich eher der Heidelberger Innenstadt an. Wir kommen als Gäste dort nicht mehr infrage.

The food is very tasty! The portion is definitely not too small! The service is very good and nice. In addition, the plates are not cleared one by one, but all when everyone has finished eating. I would definitely like to go there again.

Unfortunately, it no longer has - or at least advertises as such - any Angus meat on offer. You can still go there. The beer garden is certainly great when the weather is right. Especially great as a rest after a hike/walk in the area.

My sister became very unwell near the inn and her vision blackened. Her friend then went to the inn and tried to get a cola (also offered to buy it for €5) to restore the sugar balance, whereupon the operator argued and asked for €10. Taking advantage of this emergency situation for one's own financial gain disgusts me, even when asked by phone the day after, the operator was not aware of any guilt. I'm sure I won't be able to find out whether the kitchen is rustic because I'll avoid the shop, but the owner definitely is, even if that's still very euphemistic.

€9.10 for a 0.5l glass of water and apple spritzer. Food is as bad as the price of drinks. It's a shame, because it's actually beautiful up here...

The food was not good at all. The roast beef was marbled, the gravy tasted artificial, and the spaetzle probably came from a packet. A simple bottle of water costs over €4. The cattle unfortunately have to live in a small stable with a concrete floor. On top of that, it's so dirty that it gives the impression that hardly any cleaning is done. Furthermore, the droppings stick to/hang all over the cattle's buttocks and legs. Simply horrible. The (women's) restrooms are awful! You sit in the dark because there's no light at all in the stalls, and the toilet seats are broken. The water in the toilet isn't clear, but yellow/brown. There's no toilet paper holder. There are no paper towels for drying hands either, so there's toilet paper on the sink instead. The changing mat in the hallway is also completely dirty and sandy. The baby ends up dirtier than before. Overall, the Bierhelderhof is simply run-down and far too expensive. Card payments aren't accepted, only cash. The service isn't interested in you either. The value for money is simply not there. The only positive thing is the green surroundings. I'll definitely never be back.

The old man tried to take a full 10 euros for a 6 euro bill. And before that he wanted the full 50 for an order of 42 euros. Unfortunately it was all just for 2 people to eat, 50 euros AND arguing about tips. :-(

Definitely one of the best you can imagine. The cheesecake was heavenly.

Schöner Freisitz mit Blick in die Natur. Der hausgemachte Apfelsaft war sehr lecker. Die Maultaschen und Schnitzel waren sehr lecker.

If you always want to experience a different and pleasant atmosphere, this is always the right place for you. Whether as a couple, with children or with friends, we always felt comfortable. Good, without long waiting times and very friendly interaction with the guests, where a good atmosphere and a little conversation with each other is possible. And then the variety of dishes on offer, which simply taste different, but are totally great. And you can't complain about the price, it's totally ok. We will come back and enjoy again.

Beautifully located with its own farm and well attended - so far so good. Unfortunately some of the food was inedible (roast beef with a slimy brown sauce with a horrible taste) Other dishes were okay but nothing special - the only thing that was really good was the goulash (buttery soft, good taste and good sauce) We were so shocked by the sauce for the roast beef that we won't be coming back..

Jägerschnitzel not recommended. The schnitzel is wafer-thin, the sauce tastes boring and it's too expensive for what's on offer. It's better everywhere and we eat out very often

Very nice manor inn outside the big city, just go up the mountain and you're in another world. Great inexpensive special dishes, and in summer there is a fantastic beer garden that invites you to linger. Climatically completely different than on the plains. Also great hiking area with fantastic views of the plain. Always worth a trip...
