I paid full price for a not-so-fresh bread roll just 5 minutes before closing time. So if you're going to charge full price, at least make it fresh, not rancid. And even right before closing, you can still be friendly. I would have been better off buying a doner kebab.

On November 8, 2025, at approximately 7:05 PM, I placed an order via the Nordsee app and paid immediately. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that no order had been received. I showed the staff the paid order, but they informed me that the necessary ingredients were unavailable and that the rolls still needed to be baked, which they didn't have time for. We therefore did not receive our order, even though the money had already been debited. I subsequently sent two emails via "Help & Contact" in the app, but have not yet received any response. Please provide me with an email address for direct contact with customer service so that I can resolve this issue.

Zero stars if I can, unfortunately. The plaice fillet was cooked in a convection oven and was completely overcooked. The fried potatoes were covered in a disgusting layer of oil (they were swimming in it). The mushrooms were also swimming in an unidentifiable sauce. The food was lukewarm. All in all, 🤢 Price with apple spritzer: €15.98 Money wasted.

Actually, 0 stars, but that's not possible. Dear Sir or Madam, I have been visiting your Nordsee stores regularly for many years and have always been very satisfied with the service and the food. Unfortunately, today (September 11, 2025, approximately 3:00 PM) I had a very unpleasant experience in your store, which I would like to share with you. I wanted to order a warm fish sandwich. The employee at the counter told me I would have to wait a little longer. I then ordered fries and nuggets – which was perfectly fine. There was another person in front of me waiting for their fries. After they were served, however, I noticed that the employee was prioritizing other customers who had arrived after me and completely ignoring me. When I asked him about it, he didn't respond at all and continued to ignore me. I also received no response when I asked if I could speak to the store manager. I then went to the sales area myself to ask for the store manager. There, I was told to speak to a somewhat heavier, approximately 40-year-old employee, whom I also approached. He simply ignored me and kept walking. To my surprise, other customers even told the employee to just ignore me, which he did. I ended up standing at the counter completely unnoticed. I found this behavior extremely disrespectful. I didn't say or do anything inappropriate. I simply wanted to order my food. The employee was a young man with curly dark hair and a slightly darker complexion. I sincerely hope that this incident will be investigated internally and that your employees will be trained accordingly on how to treat customers respectfully. I myself worked in sales for a long time, and we couldn't afford to do something like that, and I would never have done it. It's not the people's fault that I don't enjoy my job. So, I won't take my bad mood out on you.

We were at the Heidelberger Herbst festival and went to the North Sea for something to eat. Our girls wanted fish and chips, but unfortunately, they were only available at the street vendors. The portions were very small, costing over €7 each. Three small pieces of fish and chips didn't taste very good. We had a fried fish sandwich, which we remembered as being better. Everything was also very expensive.

Lucky for those who get what they order! I got the wrong fish, which, as if by chance, was more expensive, and there was no way to change it. I didn't like it either: the thick bread with the bread roll was very "bready," and the over-the-top lettuce and the sauce weren't to my taste either—of course, I didn't order it. My companion and I ordered different plaice fillets from the menu. The staff member showed us the plaice and enthusiastically announced that he had just made them fresh and they were piping hot. However, we got ours from a completely different tray. My fish was cold and dried out, but the potatoes were good. There was no Diet Coke, Zero, or Fanta. The atmosphere is lovely.

Absolutely terrible! Unfriendly service! I couldn't have been more unfriendly. I didn't want tartar sauce on my fish. The waitress ignored me even after I asked five times, rolled her eyes, and said, "It's on now, eat it or not. No more fish." Maybe give me a new one? No—I was ignored too. I paid almost 60 euros for my family and myself and had to pay for each individual meal separately, or rather, separately, with a card. Why? I didn't get a response! Never again. The food tasted disgusting. Everything was "burnt" and old. After 40 years, I will never set foot in this place again. Thank you.

I was at Nordsee today, on a sunny summer Saturday, at 5:30 p.m. Half the menu was out of stock. No salad, no second patty, not even a Coke, nothing. The burger took 10 minutes, which is no problem when it's fresh. The patty was fresh, but the bun had been sitting in the sauce for what felt like three days. An extra mayo costs 70 cents (are you serious, Nordsee?), but the icing on the cake was the toilet. Everything swam out the door. In short: I would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone.

Probably the worst fish sandwich I've ever had at Nordsee. The fried fish sandwich was ice cold, the remoulade was practically nonexistent, and the roll wasn't crispy either. The herring sandwich tasted of nothing but water, but it was jammed with cheap onions. It was more like an onion sandwich with a small fish filling that tasted of nothing. The hot food is so small these days that it could pass for a children's menu, but at a higher price than before. So, everything is the exact opposite of what I've come to expect at Nordsee. Absolutely not recommended!

Mr. Baschan does a fantastic job here at the shop in the center of Heidelberg and is the bright light of the place. Over the past year and a half, you can really see how things have improved – everything runs smoothly, the team is friendlier, more competent, and you simply feel better cared for than before! Went on vacation in a vacation home in Heidelberg. Ordered food from Lieferando but it never arrived. 45 minutes was stated, but after more than two hours we called several times, but no one answered the phone. After five hours, we received a message from Lieferando, apparently leaving a message on our doorstep because no one was there or even answered the phone. No one called, no one was there, and the whole thing was absolutely outrageous. That was the last time we ordered anything from here. Before that, half of the order was OK—fresh, the other half was old and dry, probably from the day before. Quality varies greatly. Based on the many bad reviews, you can get an idea of what to expect here.

We arrived at 7:15 p.m. for a quick dinner and opted for pasta with fish (the pasta is freshly prepared in the kitchen) and fresh fish from the display case. We asked beforehand when the restaurant closed – we were told 8:00 p.m. It wasn't even 7:20 p.m. We also asked how long the pasta would take and if we could make it. The employee at the display case kindly replied that it would take a maximum of 10 minutes. When the supervisor heard this, he sternly showed his colleague the time on his phone and made it clear that he no longer wanted to fulfill our request. Then he also gestured to us that they would be closing soon. Is this your understanding of customer service? Is it customary for you to turn away guests 40 minutes before closing time? This kind of service is absolutely unacceptable. There were very few guests anyway – probably even fewer after this experience. We will definitely not be coming back and would advise others not to. Very disappointing.

Today, July 6th, 2024 around 4 p.m. we entered the snack bar! I looked at the illuminated billboard and chose hash browns with salmon! They said this is no longer available! Then I decided on a pasta plate (bowl-like), also no longer available! The snack bar is open until 8 p.m. and there were a total of 7 fried fillets on the counter! The employee's enthusiasm was palpable! I finally found a salmon fillet with lukewarm fried potatoes! Reminds me a lot of Baden Baden on Monday! Sale at 12pm! There was nothing going on there anywhere! Not recommended and lukewarm food anyway!

I had dinner there with my son on Wednesday. I wanted plaice, son salmon. When the employee put TK pollock on the plate, I had to explain to him that he wanted salmon and not pollock. His food was ok, but in retrospect my plaice wasn't. I had plaice with potatoes and asparagus. On Thursday I had a grumbling in my stomach and had to throw up in the morning on an empty stomach. All the asparagus came out. An hour later I started having diarrhea which continues to this day (Saturday, dinner was on Wednesday!). I went to the doctor yesterday morning: mild food poisoning 🤢 I hope the nightmare will be over soon. But I will avoid all North Sea stores in the future.

Unfortunately, Nordsee's quality has generally deteriorated significantly in recent years, in 3 branches that I go to at least once a week. My experience with the Heidelberg branch is as follows; - Tables and chairs were very dirty and at least 4 tables had not been cleared - an employee behind the counter, totally overwhelmed by the crowd (there were a total of 5 guests who wanted to place their order, and alone! - The voucher code could not be activated despite entering it into the checkout several times and therefore we could not use this advantage - Ordered a total of 3 dishes and all three were cold, we left or cleared everything and left the shop. It's a shame that the Nordsee brand can no longer maintain the usual quality

So North Sea was never the highest of emotions, but now you can't even go into the store anymore. The herring salads have twice already had an unpleasant taste and a certain tingling sensation in the mouth, which means that a fermentation process has begun. I'm also finding it increasingly uncomfortable not being able to place an order with my normal German without repeating it three times. Incidentally, English doesn't work well either. It's an absurdity, especially for the people who work there. They have immigrated and are willing to do jobs that no one here wants to do anymore. The minimum would be to give them the opportunity to learn the language properly in advance and at the same time you could also give them proper training on the products. My questions could not be answered. I can't imagine that I'm the only one who is bothered by something like this. Accordingly, these employees would have to deal with dissatisfied customers every day. Wouldn't it be more pleasant for everyone to ensure in advance that they can do their job correctly?

I'm from Heidelberg and have eaten here 30 years ago. I have to say, it's a catastrophe to eat here today. The display is empty at lunchtime and you wait forever for freshly prepared food. The staff speaks poor German, and if so If you ask about the missing fried potatoes, it means the boss doesn't order anything! I will never eat here again!!!!

Sehr schöner Laden mit freundlichem Personal und sowohl Innenauswahl mit Sitzplätzen und einer Ausgabe nach Außen zum mitnehmen. Der Bismarkhering war gut, allerdings ist Nordsee doch recht teuer, vor allem, wenn man dort eine volle Mahlzeit isst.

Die Bedienung war so unfreundlich, ich weiss nicht warum man so jemanden vor die Gäste stellt,es wurde aber auch jeder so behandelt. Das Essen war auch nicht berauschend, um 13.00fast nichts in der Auslage und das was ich hatte war alles andere als knusprig.

Erschreckend ! Hatte Lust auf ein leckeres frisches Heringsbrötchen auf die Hand. Was ich bekommen habe war ein altes trockenes Aufbackbrötchen mit etwas Zwiebel mit einem kleinen Hering. Habe daraufhin das Personal angesprochen die mich zum Leiter der Filiale geschickt hat. Er wiederum verweist auf die Nordseegruppe die diese minderwertige Qualität vorgibt. Meine Meinung dazu ist daher ziemlich einfach "der Fisch stinkt vom Kopf her" Nordseefilialen in Zukunft "Nein Danke" Qualität bei Nordsee? Das war einmal. Echt schade.

Ich liebe Nordsee. Essen war wie immer gut. Leider ging es heute im Service etwas hoch her. Dies war aber nur eine Moment Aufnahme. Samstag gegen 14 Uhr wollten anscheinend mehr Leute essen. Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln waren auf jeden Fall lecker 😋

I ordered a yufka with double meat, but ended up only getting the regular portion – and that for €11.50. For that price, I definitely expected more. It was my first and last time there. Furthermore, the employee in the hat was very unfriendly. His only explanation was that he'd been working there for six years and knew what he was doing. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like I was being taken seriously as a customer at all.

A convenience food that's kept warm for a long time. Completely overpriced for this quality and self-service. The view is the only positive aspect.

Very rude service, cake heated in the microwave, coffee okay. Warning: They have trouble issuing receipts and try to cheat by giving you a printout of your order!
