Wir hatten einen Tisch reserviert. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm und die Bedienung freundlich. Wir warteten jedoch 1 Stunde und 20 Minuten auf einen gegrillten Truthahn und Paella. Weder eine Vorwarnung noch eine Entschuldigung für die Wartezeit wurden gegeben. Für die gebotene Qualität war das Essen zu teuer. Ein guter Ort, um etwas zu trinken, aber nicht zum Abendessen – insbesondere nicht mit einem Baby.

Essen im allgemeinen war gut Getränke zu warm und das Rumpsteak mit Pommes für 36 Euro zu wenig . Service sehr gut.

Schönes Restaurant mit Aussenterrasse. Blick auf die Tennisplätze. Essen war sehr gut und Preise sind gehoben, aber angemessen. Vom Stil her würde ich sagen: Italienische Küche. Das Ambiente ist relaxt und ruhig. Es sei denn ein Ball fliegt zu weit😉. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze.

Auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, fühlt sich an wie an einer italienischen Strandpromenade. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Sehr kinderfreundlich.

Essen war leider nur so lala und dafür auch noch etwas zu teuer. Was aber gar nicht geht: Uns wurde kommentarlos ein falsches Essen gebracht. Erst auf Nachfrage meinte die Bedienung, sie hätte uns darüber informiert – das ist leider nicht passiert. Insgesamt eher enttäuschend.

Ehrlich gesagt, das Essen war makellos. Alles war köstlich, jedes Gericht noch besser als das vorherige. Die Suppen waren alle wunderbar, besonders die Spargelsuppe, und die Vorspeisen waren allesamt fantastisch. Wir bestellten Calamari und Knoblauchgarnelen, und als Hauptgerichte gab es Meeresfrüchte-Pasta und Fisch mit Kartoffelpüree. Der Preis war ausgezeichnet.

wir kommen sehr gerne in die Olive. Das Essen ist immer fantastisch und der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Man fühlt sich hier einfach wohl. Sehr empfehlenswert! Auch Hund sehr freundlich.

Das Essen und das Ambiente sind echt toll. Etwas zu hohe Preise und der Service war solala. Der Hauptkellner stand oft bei der Bar und hat sich mit dem Barkeeper unterhalten statt zu schauen ob die Gäste was wollen.

We went there on Boxing Day with a reservation. They had a short, limited special menu, which had to be modified because they were running low on ingredients. The food was very tasty and beautifully presented. In my opinion, the price was about 10% too high, including the drinks.

Four of us were here last night and were very satisfied with the food and service. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. The service was friendly and quite quick. We can absolutely recommend this restaurant.

Nice terrace, good food selection

A great location of the restaurant in Heidelberg. The restaurant is overlooking the nice tennis courts and have a nice outdoor and indoor seating possibilities. The cuisine is mix of Mediterranean cum German cuisine and have good choice of Tapas and main courses. The do also serve good beer both alcoholic and non alcoholic options in which is quite nice. The quality of food taste and service all very good. One important note is on the payment as they don’t accept any Credit or debit cards and just accept cash or Giro Cards (specific to German banks), this in my opinion is a huge disadvantage as people don’t carry cash normally and not necessarily have a EC or Giro card. Luckily a colleague had a zero card and we managed else would have been a nightmare to go get cash to pay. They have to fix this topic or the restaurant need to warn in advance while booking or before the start of the meal. I hope they upgrade this payment part to enable people to enjoy the ambience and food in this restaurant.

My wife ordered a summer salad with fish and shrimp yesterday. The salad was wilted, and the shrimp were waterlogged. After consulting the kitchen, the female waitress said everything was fine. No apology, but she demanded full payment. I can only advise avoiding this restaurant. They've lost us as customers.

The food is delicious, but unfortunately, the menu hasn't varied much over the years. Service receives very mixed reviews, but we've always been satisfied with the friendliness and attentiveness of the waiters. We'll definitely eat there again.

I would have drunk a lot more if someone had asked me🤷‍♀️ Sorry, but every snack bar has better and more attentive staff. For a full hour, no one asked me if I wanted another drink or maybe something to eat!!! And it wasn't packed... I definitely won't be coming back. Service is paramount. I was probably second-rate🤷‍♀️ I won't recommend it to anyone. Why should I?

Excellent paella, very friendly service, good value for money and nice atmosphere

One of my favorite restaurants. The food is excellent, but unfortunately a bit overpriced. The interior and terrace are beautifully decorated. The service loses one star, as some of the waiters are unfortunately not very competent. Nevertheless, I really enjoy coming here.

We were there yesterday and were disappointed. With 6 people. We had already been sitting for 40 minutes before I had to get up to ask for our drinks – 40 minutes without water in this heat is unreasonable, and we had two small children with us. The waitress was either overwhelmed or extremely inattentive and never asked if everything was okay or if she could bring anything else. The food was a disaster – BY ALL PART. The only thing that made up for it was the dessert. I would have preferred to send everything else back, but we were hungry. Here, too, no one asked if we even enjoyed our food. The table was filled for ages with half-eaten plates, and no one wanted to clear them, even after I pointed it out. You had to reorder your drink when it was still half full because the service took so long. Disappointing, and we won't be back!

Today was our first and last visit to this restaurant. This was mainly due to the very slow service. We had to wait 30 minutes for the menu and then another 30 minutes for our drinks. We were warned before ordering that it would take a little longer today. We asked for a wait time and were told a maximum of 30-40 minutes. Unfortunately, we had to wait twice as long, and without any announcement or apology from the server. Two tables that arrived after us were even waited and served before us. The food wasn't particularly good or bad either. So our overall experience was negative, and we won't be going back.

Highly recommended! Relaxed atmosphere on a large terrace. Top-notch Spanish cuisine! Our meal (paella and spinach tortilla) was truly delicious!

Man muß ein wenig suchen. Das Lokal liegt an einem Tennisplatz, hat auch eine große Außenterrasse oberhalb der Plätze. Sehr schönes Ambiente. Essen fanden wir wirklich gut (u. a. Salat Lachs, Gambas) und die Preise angemessen obwohl die Portionen sehr knapp bemessen waren.

The quality of the food has declined considerably. The asparagus wasn't particularly good, and the potatoes had a leathery texture from being reheated several times. The juniper ham was very good. The terrace is, of course, beautiful. It's a shame, really.

Tried, but couldn't eat dinner here today! They told me that they ONLY accept "CASH"! ....... in today's world, in Heidelberg, at a university campus! Am I missing something here? 🙄

We held a larger celebration in the Olive last fall and were completely thrilled. The coordination in advance went smoothly - our wishes were responded to in a very friendly and flexible manner. The festival itself was also simply wonderful: we were very happy about the reception with a lovingly designed poster. The food was outstanding - from the starters to the main courses, everything was excellently prepared and with a lot of taste. Particularly positive: The selection was also very good for vegetarians, and vegan requests were catered for without any problems. The service was attentive, warm and always relaxed. We can fully recommend Olive – and are always happy to come back for a cozy dinner.

The restaurant is clean and well maintained. It's busy at lunchtime and therefore a bit noisy. Unfortunately, the service is completely overwhelmed. Relatively unfriendly and stressed. Food tasted good, but unfortunately it was served with a long wait and then even later than guests who arrived after us AND also with a delay so that we couldn't start together AND the side salad came at the same time instead of before, as usual. 1 meal was brought completely wrong and had to be refused, but they wanted to credit us with 1 drink and brought a side salad for free. The drink (juice spritzer was still on the bill at just under €6!). The boss was also present, but unfortunately didn't think it was necessary to help despite the restaurant being full and just looked at what the waitress was doing as she ran around alone. A no-go for me. There wasn't even time to ask us every now and then whether we would like to drink more or whether everything was okay. Since it was a business lunch, I was very embarrassed and would not recommend it for important appointments. The prices are simply not appropriate for what you get. When I quote prices like that, my service has to be top-notch and I have to deal differently with trivialities that CAN of course happen!

Totally overpriced Christmas card during the holidays! Ordering from the regular menu was not possible! This should definitely have been pointed out when making the reservation! We come to Olive often and looked forward to our favorite meals. Instead we were forced to take food from the very reduced and expensive Christmas menu.....:-(

Unfortunately the price/performance ratio is not right. Portions way too small. Quality is only good to a limited extent. Service overwhelmed at times.

Rating for the Restaurant Olive (3/5 stars) We had goose dinner at Olive Restaurant and overall it was a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy – a great restaurant for a relaxing evening. The service was excellent, the staff very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, it has to be said that the price for the goose meal and the drinks were above average. For the service and food offered in this price range it could be a little more. The prices are definitely on the higher side, which is why we would recommend the restaurant for special occasions.

Went there for the first time yesterday. I'm really picky but it was just fantastic! The service was super friendly, the food from starters to dessert was delicious 😋 Also highly recommended for vegans and vegetarians and despite the fact that there is a tennis court next door, a very chilled atmosphere with lounge music and beautiful olive trees everywhere. Gladly ❤ again!

This is the second time I've been to Olive and I have to say, both times the food and service were excellent. The tappas are a dream! The ambience is super beautiful! What I also noticed is that everything is very clean (the outside terrace is tip-top and the toilets are tip-top clean too!) The boss definitely has everything under control here and apparently also has a good relationship with his staff! We'll definitely be back :-)

Great service with very friendly staff, a wonderful terrace and very good food.

This is the fourth or fifth time I've eaten here and the impression is similar every time. The food is high quality, slightly overpriced, but the ambience is great, quietly located, one of the few restaurants in Heidelberg where you can sit outside and not hear any cars. The problem is the service. All the employees are trying hard, but I don't feel welcome as a guest. It takes a while until you are noticed as a new guest. If you have a request for the table, it is ignored, you wait a long time for the cards, and the starter and main course come at the same time. Plates are placed somewhere on the table and not in my place. It felt a bit unloving and unhospitable to me. Toilets are clean. Long drinks too expensive.

Nette Lage am Tennis Platz, große Terrasse in praller Sonne. Essen ist okay aber nicht besonders, preislich leider zu hoch. Bedienung extrem Umsatz orientiert, daher keine Empfehlung.

Unfortunately, the restaurant operator's completely inappropriate, rude treatment of guests in the club area.

After our tennis game at HTC, we were able to enjoy a very good team meal at Olive. The service was also excellent. Thank you for the good hospitality!

Easter Sunday with the family. Day ticket like a normal ticket is great. 5 people, 5 different meals, everyone loved it. Also very nice staff. We will be back !

Food so-so, but too expensive. If you exchange a supplement, you pay extra. Service was ok, atmosphere rather old-fashioned. Will not eat here again. Not accommodating, a shame in a city like Heidelberg.

We were there for the second time and loved the food. If we lived in Heidelberg, it would probably be included in our list of favorite restaurants.

We got the tapas starter and, as main dish, I ordered grilled goat cheese with peppers and olives. The peppers were pickled ones, and the whole dish was full of vinegar. The starter was okay, even if a bit too expensive related to the food quality and variety.

Waren heute zum Essen im Restaurant. Wir sind aus dem Saarland und werden beim nächsten Besuch in Heidelberg wieder vorbeikommen. Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service sowie das Ambiente perfekt.

Sehr nettes Lokal, hatte leider ein Haar in meinem Salat welcher jedoch sofort ersetzt wurde. Hauptspeise was genial, genauso wie der Nachtisch!

Beim Ankommen würden wir von einem Recht schönem Ambiente und dem netten Service empfangen. Ebenfalls die Terrasse ist schön. Das war's aber auch schon mit den schönen Seiten. Das Essen spiegelt keinesfalls das Äußere des Restaurants wieder. Ich hatte mich gefreut auf die Tagliatelle mit Gambas. Bekommen habe ich Nudeln mit 6 Gambas und ganz viel öl. Geschmacklich sehr neutral waren diese nur gut gebraten und nicht trocken. Ein wiederkommen sehe ich in naher Zukunft nicht da ich sehr enttäuscht bin.

Am besten Reservieren. Das Aussenlokal ist sehr ansprechend. Ruhig gelegen. Personal sehr nett, Preis Leistung ok. Essen war sehr schmackhaft. Das Weizenbier ging garnicht😩Veltins. Sonst alles stimmig👍

Essen in Ordnung, auch wenn sich das gastronomische Konzept nicht so recht erschließt. Die Bedienung empfanden wir als höflich, wenn auch etwas arrogant. Das Ambiente ist ganz nett. Die Preise sind hierfür etwas hoch – finde ich nicht ganz angemessen.

We had dishes of the day. All way very fresh and tast. I especially loved the refreshing lemon and ginger drinks. I was positively impressed that the restaurant also offers proper access for mobility impaired.

Ich habe mich hier mit mehreren Freunden getroffen und wir haben reserviert. Das Essen war sehr gut mit ausschließlich frischen Zutaten der Saison. Die Terrasse ist sehr groß, sodass fast alle Gäste draußen saßen.

Wir haben sehr lang auf die Bedienung gewartet, obwohl es nicht voll. Das Essen war ok, jedoch für das was serviert wurde zu teuer.

Superschöne Location mit sehr freundlichem Personal und leckerem Essen. Es gibt neben der Standard-Speisekarte auch immer saisonale Gerichte. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Die Tapasvariante für 2 Personen war sehr lecker aber für 32€ übersichtlich. Der Nachtisch war sehr einfach und mit 9.50€ bzw. 10.50€ viel zu teuer. Ein Kellerbier 0,5l über 5,50€ zu teuer. Gehobenes Tennispublikum !

Schönes Restaurant. Tolle Terrasse mit Blick auf die Tennisplätze. Italienisches Restaurant, aber nicht typisch. Pizza findet man hier nicht aber dafür viele andere mediterrane Leckereien. Sehr zuvorkommender Kellner. Geht auch auf Sonderwünsche ein. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt

20,50 Euro für ein Schnitzel mit Pommes hatte zur Folge, dass man zunächst einmal kritisch beäugt wird, ob der scheinbar zu gewöhnlichen Freizeitkleidung welche man trägt... Naja. Oder hätte ich reservieren müssen? Willkommen fühlte man sich jedenfalls nicht. Nachdem wir dann doch Platz nehmen und bestellen durften, kam in der Folge auch das Essen. Nichts besonderes, aber auch nicht schlecht. Durchschnitt. Obligatorische Frage ob alles passt, blieb aus. Dies wunderte mich dann aber ehrlich gesagt auch nicht mehr. Nochmal würde ich, wegen des Service, nicht hingehen wollen und kann's daher auch nicht empfehlen. Eigentlich ärgere ich mich über das gegebene Trinkgeld. Egal. Ach, eins noch: wenn man gehobene Preise verlangt, sollte der bauliche Zustand der sanitären Anlagen diesen Preisen entsprechen. Meine persönliche Meinung.

Hier kann man gut essen und schön draußen sitzen.

Ein angenehmes Ambiente, vor allem auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf die Tennisplätze. Sonnen- und regengeschützt da überdacht. Freundliche Bedienung und gutes Essen, fernab der Touristenmeile in Heidelberg und mitten im Grünen. Ein Geheimtipp. Drin etwas laut wenn gut besucht.

Ich bin immer wieder gern in der Olive, privat und auch beruflich, da ich nicht weit entfernt mein Büro habe, und gerne auch mit Kunden dort zum Essen gehe. Essen, Ambiente und Bedienung immer gut. Weiterer großer Vorteil : man bekommt durch den Tennisclub immer einen Parkplatz ohne große Sucherei!

Es war Freitagabends, nicht viel los und irgendwann hätte man das Gefühl, dass man doch endlich gehen soll, schade, denn das Essen war gut.

Das Ambiente in der Olive ist recht nett, die Preise auf der Speisekarte lassen Überdurchschnittliches erwarten. Als Vorspeise hatte ich Croquetas de Jamon Serrano bestellt. Gebracht wurden 4 kleine Kroketten. Auf die Frage, wo der Jamon bleibt, erhielt ich zur Antwort, der sei in den Kroketten verarbeitet. Trotzt intensiver Inspektion hatte ich keinen Schinken in den Kroketten gefunden. Auf abermalige Nachfrage erhielt ich die Auskunft, es handele sich um mikroskopische Mengen! Immerhin verzichtete der Gastronom daraufhin, die Vorspeise in Rechnung zu stellen.

Die Begrüßung durch die Kellner und dem Chef erfolgte kalt und man bekam den Eindruck dass man Ballast ist. Die Bestellung konnte man aufgeben, nachdem man geduldig 15 Minuten gewartet hat, indem man den Kellner darauf aufmerksam gemacht hat, dass man gerne etwas bestellen möchte. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt war die Aussenterasse von uns und einem weiteren Gast besucht. Also kein/e Stress/ Hektik im Restaurant. Bestellung vom Essen erfolgt wie o.g. Über den Koch kann man nichts negatives sagen, er kann sein Handwerk. Leere Gläser! Kein Interesse von den Kellnern um uns evtl. mit Nachschub versorgen zu wollen. Stattdessen mindestens 10 Mal ohne ein Blick auf unser Tisch geworfen zu haben, an uns vorbeigegangen. Irgendwann durften wir zahlen, was auch das letzte Mal gewesen ist, denn ich würde nicht mehr gerne Geld da lassen, und möchte das Möchtegern Schicki-Micki Getue nicht mehr unterstützen. Weiterhin viel Erfolg, aber kommt mal bitte wieder runter von eurem hohen Ross.

Zu zweit zum Abendessen in der Olive. Sehr gutes Essen, Vor - Haupt - Nachspeise. Gutes Bier ; erlesene Weine ; Preis - Leistungsverhältnis absolut in Ordnung. Sehr romantische Terrassenatmosphäre. Aufmerksamer Service. Angenehmer Abend, an dem alles stimmte. -- gerne wieder.
