Alter Kohlhof in Heidelberg

A visit to top chef Martin Scharff at Heidelberg Castle is always worthwhile – whether for dinner, a kitchen party in the castle wine tavern, or a grand dinner show in the castle or courtyard. I recently attended the current dinner show, "The Music of Queen," which included a four-course meal, and it was a fantastic evening: a wonderful atmosphere, superb food, and the best Queen cover band I've ever heard. Highly recommended! I will definitely also be checking out the upcoming dinner shows, "The Music of U2" and "The Music of Sting."

The service is exceptionally unfriendly. Even when the menu is extensive, less than half of it is actually available. The service is rude. The cook and the cashier look puzzled when you ask for a simple dish. If you inquire about the menu, the cashier suddenly becomes annoyed and makes little effort to take your order. She tells customers to read the entire menu, but refuses to provide any information herself, even when asked politely. If you decide on a dish, the cashier simply says, "We don't have that." Why open a restaurant if you can't even ensure that the food is available?

A nice restaurant with delicious cakes. Unfortunately, we got the impression that the older waiter was annoyed by every additional customer. We've rarely experienced such cold service!

Unfortunately, the door currently says "temporarily closed"

It used to be great here, and the food was okay for such a small place. Unfortunately, there's been a change of ownership. 1) They no longer serve food. 2) After 10 minutes, we were asked if we wanted a drink. 3) The new owner isn't very friendly. It's just a small corner pub now, to put it bluntly.
