Wanted typical German Weiner (veal) schnitzel and that’s what we got. Simple meal but done extremely well.

Very long waiting time and really very unprofessional service, quality-price food is not worth it.

Knight pans with chicken and spaetzle royal style tasted great, were well seasoned and very plentiful. Staff very friendly and attentive, prices totally okay. Overall, highly recommended, we would love to come back!

We had reserved the knight's meal by phone weeks in advance. When we arrived (1 1/2 hour drive) it was cheekily said: "Knight's meal today? No, it can't be. You MUST reserve this in writing." Please what ? Thanks for nothing. Unfortunately, based on the experience and the reaction of the employees on the day, I can only say so advise against. I think the only advantage the restaurant has is the location. It can't be more than that. Again, the owner doesn't comment on any of the negative reviews here. This also shows that he is aware of where the problem lies.

I entered the store, but the first female clerk told me I could sit anywhere, but then an elderly male clerk asked me to sit in this seat. I realized that the person who was showing me around was just two people in a small space with no candles lit. At this point, the terrace seats were full, but the inside of the restaurant was empty, and there were 2 other foreigners sitting in the 4-5 seats. When I tried to order, I made eye contact with her, but after the female clerk outside said in English that she was going, she didn't do anything, just talked to herself, or just ignored me and went to the terrace seat outside. It was. After a while, he still didn't come to ask for the menu, so I was disappointed and went home. The female customer nearby, who looked like a local regular, was kind and even explained the menu to me in English. When I was leaving, I said goodbye to the female customer with gratitude, but when the male staff member returned my order in a blatant manner, I was reminded that this is a store that still practices racial discrimination. If you are Asian or Japanese, you may feel uncomfortable, so I think it is better not to go to this restaurant. I think it will be unpleasant because there is a clerk who has received a disappointing education who openly uses racial discrimination.

Rainy day.. Needed home comfort food and relaxing atmosphere.. Beer great recommend dark beer and knightpan food. Amazing

Food was very tasty, and the service was a bit slow but very medieval decor.

We reserved the day before a table and the waiter was very nice. When we arrived the next day the table wasn’t ready yet and the waiter welcomed us with a bad attitude and we didn’t have enough space so some of us we’re supposed to stay in another table. We waited more than an hour for simple currywusrt menus. When it came the moment to pay he was very unpolite and impatient towards us, even though we made him noticed that he missed a drink on the tab he answered us with a bad attitude. We won’t be back anymore and don’t recommend it to anyone

The day before we reserved a table and the waitress was very nice. When we arrived the next day the table wasn't ready yet and the waitress (maybe owner) didn't give us enough places, some of us had the sit separately in another table. We waited for more than one hour to get a simple curry Wurst. Either during the welcoming and specially when we're paying he was rude, unpolite and impatient. Even though he missed a drink on the tab, we were honest and were checking that everything had been paid, but he answered me with a bad attitude . I won't be back anymore and I don't recommend it to anyone.

By far the worst potato wedges we have ever eaten. Potatoes inedible, the whole portion was returned, the dip that came with it was also bland and tasteless.

I've never eaten so badly, chicken steak was a finished product and cold. Fresh canned chanterelles. Service slow and self-absorbed

Central location, friendly and quick service. Prices completely ok. Unfortunately not a culinary highlight. Tarte flambée is good, but unfortunately the rest is not cheese spaetzle and falafel, which is completely uninspired and tasteless.

Cool little place with the option to drink beer from a horn! Feels like a middlealtfest (Ren Faire!) the Service was a bit slow and pizza/flamkuchen was just ok.

Actually a nice, small restaurant, but all in all it can be expanded. Price performance is good, a draft beer shouldn't go out at 7 p.m. The portion size is good, and overall the taste was ok.

We were there with a larger group. The waitresses were all very nice, the atmosphere is very rustic and beautifully done. The drinks also came quite quickly, although they were a bit stale. The main courses didn't really come at the same time, but there were 17 of us, so that's forgivable. The spaetzle were far too soft and didn't taste like anything, the schnitzel was baked in old fat, or at least that's what it looked like. But salt and pepper was added. However, almost all people (10 in total) had problems with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea after eating. Something wasn't right there. The prices are also extremely steep, but probably normal for Heidelberg. Two small veal schnitzels with spaetzle & side salad + Cola for €30.

Friendly and fast service. Food was excellent. Reasonably priced. Nice location in the old town of Heidelberg. We were very satisfied and can recommend the restaurant.

I was so happy with the service! Waitress Nina was so nice to me, considerate and observant. My lunch was delicious, but she made me to feel special and I really appreciate her work.

After we were at Bierbrezel a few years ago, we want to eat there again because of our good memories. Maybe we should have looked at the most recent reviews. It's true: the service is friendly, but not the fastest. The quality of the food is rather average. Although the spagel soup was good, the Flädle (pancake) soup was surprising: a large plate of broth in which you could find scattered strips of pancakes/Flädle. It didn't have much to do with a soup addition. The various gratinated flatbread and pretzel dishes are a good idea, but the cheese used is probably to blame for everything floating in fat. Well, if it's the chef's taste, so be it. But when the service asks whether it was tasty and then the criticism expressed is laughed away or ignored, then it confirms our decision that it was the last visit here. It's actually a shame, the ambience and the "idea" behind it would be quite nice. A pity.

A restaurant with potential that is not being used. The location is great for the eye. The staff is not necessarily fast but friendly. Unfortunately the food consists of convenience. Fresh products are not used. You can cook this better at home too. A pity. Listening to Ed Sheeran on a constant loop doesn't make the dining experience any better.

I ordered mushroom pizza and salad. The pizza was savory and delicious. The salad was sour and went well with the greasy pizza. There are so many different types of beer to choose from!

Great food, our server spoke great English and was super friendly for some Americans who speak very little German! We sat outside and ate for dinner.

Hello, I very rarely give reviews, but I reserved a knight's meal by phone about 6 weeks in advance. Today we arrive and nobody knew about what???? The statement was “right now only by email” but I spoke to an employee on the phone who confirmed the reservation. We drive 120 km to listen to this comment. Unfortunately not good service. We then left and ate elsewhere.

American here Visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening. Not many people eating at the rest on this day. Three guest max. The server spoke enough English to get by so we could place our order. The food was delicious but it did take a very long time for the food to get served. I would presume it took about an hour.

The waiters are friendly, everything is delicious. I recommend!!!

I got a Jacky Cola during the JGA in the Horn... world class. Plus a clocky restaurant and lovely waitresses. What more do you want...

Let's start with the good. Is super centrally located. Otherwise we unfortunately continued with waiting for conditions on plastic chairs. After speaking, the neighboring table was served first. Then finally ordered and drinks came quickly. But the meal (spätzle with onions) unfortunately took 40 minutes. There was also no pepper and salt on the table. I have to go in myself. But it wasn't full. But then came the disappointment. Spaetzle with fried onions is disappointing. Then, upon request, finally payment with Visa. 4 attempts with Visa, 1 attempt with EC card and every time it didn't work. Network error. But it worked all the time. Aha strange that the error wasn't mentioned anywhere on the pads before. Then we should go to the bank. No, I didn't want to, so we were taken to the Peter Pane restaurant together and a waiter came over and typed around on the EC card machine (think wifi turned on) and strangely then it worked and there was no error on it. Anyone who thinks evil 😅 well, no sorry. So never go there again. My wife took a picture of the women's toilet. The tap has probably been defective for a long time.

We have always enjoyed eating here (delicious spaetzle in a cast iron pan). The atmosphere is dark and very quaint. Yesterday we reserved a table online from 11:30 a.m. and received confirmation twice (and even a reminder that if you don't show up you'll be put on a "blacklist"). When we arrived in Heidelberg we found ourselves in front of a closed door - opening hours from 12:00 (even though the internet says 10:00 and the reservation was accepted). We stretched our legs and came back at 12:00. Door open, everything inside still dark and chairs up - someone came and explained to us in a not friendly tone "We're not open yet" - When we asked when "I don't know, maybe half an hour". It's a shame about the lovely food, but this service and misinformation is a NO_GO!

This was a very warm and cozy spot to enjoy currywurst and a beer with my sons. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. I've added Bierbrezel to my shortlist of places to visit the next time I'm in Heidelberg.

We started with the brezel, simple, warm and oh so good. I had a chicken spaetzle, and my sister had beef sausage with beer sauce and fries. Both were very tasty and filling on a cold winter's night. The staff were very friendly and quick. We finished with the apple strude, which was served warm with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, and some chocolate sauce. It was delicious. We would come back and recommend you give it a try.

Meine Frau und ich sind das erste Mal heute zum Essen dort gewesen. Richtig Lecker war das Bierkutschersteak. Die Soße war richtig gut . Das Ambiente ist auch toll. Und die Bedienung war auch Super. Wir kommen wieder.

Hätten die BierBrezel gerne besucht. Unsere (bestätigte!) Online Reservierung wurde allerdings nicht akzeptiert. Vor Ort haben wir gesagt bekommen, dass man nur telefonisch oder per email reservieren kann. Geht gar nicht!!!!!!!!!

Nicht zu empfehlen, wenn man das 3-Gänge Menü *Rittermahl* in einer größeren Gruppe bestellt. Laut Menü Beschreibung bekommt man ein Bier im Horn und einen Schnaps zum Dessert, keins davon haben wir erhalten, dafür ein Getränk aufs Haus. Hühnersuppe war in Ordnung, Pizzabrot sehr lecker, aber die Hauptspeise... Spätzle und Braten sehr fad, Knödel, halbe Hänchen und Hänchenspieße waren ganz gut, aber es war einfach alles nur lauwarm (wurde der Bedienung mitgeteilt, nichts dagegen getan). Soße gabs erst auf Anfrage, die war dann warm. Die Krönung war dann der Apfelstrudel, geschmacklich gut, aber einfach kalt, die Reihe durch. Fairerweise muss man sagen ein Kollege bekam einen warmen nachdem es bemängelt wurde. Musik etwas zu laut und sehr unpassend, nach unserem Geschmack. Ambiente ist toll, leider sehr zugig, im Winter. Toiletten hatten teilweise kein Papier oder Seife fehlte und das schon am frühen Abend. Die Pizzen oder Flammkuchen der anderen Gäste sahen gut aus und Getränke waren lecker.

Wer auf Zimt in seiner Biersoße zum Steak steht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Hier wäre ein Hinweis auf der Karte angebracht. Wären wir nicht so hungrig gewesen, wären die Gerichte direkt zurückgegangen. Das Schnitzel war absolut fad und hat weder ein Salz-oder Pfefferkorn gesehen. Zu allem Überfluss waren die Toiletten mehr als abstoßend, kein Klopapier und das Pissoir war bereits am überlaufen - auf den Geruch will ich nicht weiter eingehen. An sich macht die Lokalität eigentlich einen tollen ersten Eindruck, welcher dann leider nicht bestätigt wird. Service hat gestresst gewirkt, war aber bemüht - weniger vom Handy ablenken lassen, könnte zur Besserung führen.

Rundweg guter Eindruck! Die schlechten Bewertungen hätten mich eigentlich von einem Besuch abhalten können. Aber der Blick durchs Fenster war verheißungsvoll. Sowohl Ambiente, als auch Freundlichkeit der Bedienung und Geschmack des Essens waren wirklich gut. Vielleicht hat es einen Wechsel gegeben oder die Betreiber haben sich die schlechten Bewertungen zu Herzen genommen. Ich würde beim nächsten Heidelberg Besuch gerne wieder dorthin gehen.

Die Bierbrezel bietet eine gutbürgerliche Küche in einem urigen Ambiente an. Das Restaurant befindet sich in der Altstadt. Die Tomatencremesuppe war ok, der Roastbeefsalat hat nicht schlecht geschmeckt allerdings war zu viel Balsamico drauf und optisch sah es nicht gut aus. Das Auge isst bekanntlich mit. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ok.

Kann die paar schlechten Bewertungen überhaupt nicht verstehen, wir waren mehr als zufrieden. Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Ambiente total toll und der Service war toll. Wir haben nicht lange auf das Essen gewartet und unsere Bedienung war sofort da, wenn das Getränk fast leer war. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen, um das Rittermahl aus zu probieren!

Tolles Uriges Lokal in der Altstadt. Der offene Pizzaofen macht was her. Schafft eine gemütliche Atmosphäre! Getränke, Essen, Auswahl, Service =alles gut. Preis Leistung passt absolut. special: man kann sein Getränk im Trinkhorn bestellen... für lustige Fotos 😁

İch War heute das erste mal in der BierBrezel. Die Leere hat uns erstmal stutzig gemacht, aber das Angebot hat uns sehr angesprochen. Das Essen War sehr lecker, vor Allem die Pizza War hervorragend. Die Bedienungen waren ebenfalls sehr freundlich und schnell. Man hat eine große Auswahl an Bieren. Preis-leistungsverhältnis gut . Sehr gerne wieder.

Der Steinofen im Restaurant hat uns dazu verleitet rein zu gehen. Haben Brauerfladen und Flammkuchen bestellt und für die Kinder halbes Schnitzel. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Ambiente sehr schön und Bedienung sehr nett gewesen. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen

Katastrophale Bewirtung!!waren mit Freunden in Heidelberg und wollten eine Kleinigkeit essen, interessierte aber keinen der 3 Damen im Service , außerdem alles schmuddelig und dreckig angefangen bei den Speisekarten!!!

We have been there a lot of times and always liked the food and the ambience. They have stone oven inside the restaurant that makes it very cozy. The food is good and you can even have beers in reeal Horns. I love their Flammkuchen & Spätzle. Service is good too. Also, the location is directly in Altstadt. Recommended as a local Heidelberger.

War als Student Anfang der 70er öfter hier. Damals ne Bierkneipe unter vielen, aber mit Brezeln für umme. Daher wohl der Name... Tempora mutantur, nos et mutamur in illis

If you like beer, a bit of garlic, and oily foods, this place is heaven. And the service is very quick and polite. We're now having our quick lunch before our train and this is the gastronomic highlight of our trip to Heidelberg. Maybe I'm a simple person, but wow it's good for "simple".

Wir haben draußen direkt vor der Heiliggeistkirche gesessen, der Blick und das Flair vom Marktplatz haben super zu unserem schönen Abend beigetragen. Die Bedingung war unheimlich freundlich und aufmerksam, das ist sehr positiv aufgefallen :) Ich hatte zwei Gerichte von der Saisonkarte, Serviettenknödel mit Pfifferlingen und gratinierten Ziegenkäse mit Honig, beides super lecker und nur zu empfehlen, auch super schön angerichtet und von der Portionsgröße perfekt. Unter den Schirmen machte selbst der kurze Regenschauer nichts aus :) wären wir noch einen Tag länger in Heidelberg würde es uns definitiv nochmal dorthin ziehen :)

Essen in Ordnung. Gute Flammkuchen z. B. Eine Saftschorle ist /schmeckt jedenfalls anders als das, was ich bekommen habe. Am Ende des Coca-Cola Glases, war weisses Pulver zu sehen.. Saft war nicht das, was es sein sollte. Geschmack dezent. Bedienung nett.

Ein Highlight während unseres Besuchs in Heidelberg. Als große Gruppe ist es oft schwierig an Wochenenden einen Platz zu bekommen - uns wurde dann das Restaurant Bierbrezel empfohlen. Erst waren wir skeptisch aufgrund der Bewertungen - was sich aber als völlig anders dargestellt hat. Der Service war super freundlich, das Essen (egal ob Pizza, Schnitzel, Salate etc.) war super und das Ambiente war wunderschön, mitten auf dem Platz zu sitzen und das abendliche Treiben in Heidelberg zu genießen. Alles in allem 5 Sterne und eine absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Solidna hrana, ali dosta toga što je na meniju nije dostupno. Osoblje nije upoznato sa menijem, pogrešnonuzimanje narudžbe. Izbjegavajte u širokim luku.

Jedesmal aufs Neue bin ich wirklich begeistert. Hier stimmt die Bedienung, das Essen und die Preise. Ich besuche Heidelberg bis zu zweimal im Jahr und das ist definitiv mein Lieblingslokal. Absolut zu empfehlen!

Essen war ganz gut, aber das Essen wurde für 4 Personen nicht zur gleichen Zeit geliefert und war dann schon abgekühlt

Kleines aber feines Restaurant mit offenem Feuer. Das vom Pizzaofen heraus ein schönes Ambiente zaubert. Ritterlich eingerichtet. Man kommt sich vor wie in einer anderen Zeit. Beim zubereiten z.B der Flammkuchen und sonstigen Köstlichkeiten kann man direkt zusehen. Der Service hat etwas länger gedauert,weil eine größere Gruppe da war. Aber man will es ja allen Recht machen. Und die leckere Pizza hat alles wieder wett gemacht.

Wir waren Mittags mit Baby und Kinderwagen da und wurden sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Babystuhl vorhanden. Sehr schön und rustikal eingerichtet. Abends sehr voll, daher mit Kind besser Mittags hin. Essen war sehr lecker, habe glatt vergessen ein Foto zu machen. Alle Kellner sehr zuvorkommend.

Urige Kneipe in der Altstadt. Wären allerdings nicht hier eingekehrt, wenn ich nicht vorher Bilder von innen gesehen hätte. Von außen nicht einladend. Essen war sehr lecker. Service war da, aber mehr auch nicht.

Urige mittelalterlich wirkendes Ambiente, aufmerksame Bedienung in Kombination mit guter/großer Speise- und Getränkeauswahl. Ich war um die Mittagszeit da und bin rundum zufrieden gewesen.
