We always enjoy coming to Schulzi's; they have very good pizzas, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended :-)

Honestly, as an Italian, I can say that Schulzi's pizza makes me feel a little at home :') The atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant, the service excellent and fast. Second time I've come here, second time I've left satisfied and inclined to return. Thank you Schulzi 😭❤️🍕

A cozy Italian restaurant with a pleasant, albeit very loud, ambiance and delicious pizzas (the combinations are creative and unique). They only serve one type of pasta, but the food overall is very good. The service was friendly, albeit a bit inattentive at times. Unfortunately, there were a few flies in the vinegar, and upon request, they couldn't offer a different one.

Everything was simply perfect: the ambiance, the food, and the service. I've already made a reservation for next time.

The pizza was okay, but I felt it lacked some seasoning. The price-performance ratio was okay. Apparently, pizza is eaten with your hands; there was no cutlery, and my pizza was a bit too soft. The service was okay. The ambiance is rather modern, rustic, and simple. But it's not a place for a relaxed sit-down, in my opinion. All in all, it's okay, and I'd go again to see if the stars could be increased or decreased.

The best Italian in Heidelberg!

The food was incredibly bland. The pasta and pizza tasted like they came from Lidl. We go there almost every day, but the food here was so bland that we were completely surprised it was even possible to cook something so bland these days. The waitresses were great. The view of the river is great if you sit outside. But the food ruins it.

The location is really nice. At the end of a very pretty alley. The service was very attentive and quick. Everyone was very friendly. The food was highly recommended. They also serve a vegan pizza with lots of fresh vegetables. Definitely a recommendation.

Delicious pasta "Pesto Presto"! The parpadelle were fresh and al dente, and the pesto complemented the pasta perfectly and was creamy. With the sweet cherry tomatoes, toasted pine nuts, and Parmesan, it was an all-around successful dish. A delight in a relaxed, rustic Italian bar atmosphere.

Excellent pizza. I had the Popeye & Olive and my wife had the Margherita. Bases were very light and toppings exceptionally tasty. Service was excellent with staff being very helpful in giving us suggestions of what to see and do. Very cool in 34.degree heat?

The pizza arrived as a soggy cracker smeared with stale ketchup—less pizza, more crime scene. Imagine a limp cracker drenched in week-old ketchup—and you have this 'vegetable beet pizza.' A cute red smear on cardboard masquerading as a pizza.

We were there for dinner! The food wasn't good, the antipasti wasn't fresh, and the cheese on the plate tasted like nothing... it was very disappointing! The service was okay, but the service concept wasn't lived up to 😬 Sorry, but it was hectic, uncoordinated, and unpleasant.

There were eight of us there, including four children. Everyone had a great time. The pizzas were all delicious. We'd love to come back.

At first, I almost let some of the negative reviews put me off eating at Schulzi again. After dinner last night, I can't confirm any of those negative reviews: the service was excellent. Extremely friendly and fast. The food was top-notch! Both the pizza and the pasta. And dessert! Delicious. We'll be back! Thank you.

Of course, here's a correspondingly sharply worded review that expresses your frustration: An absolute disgrace – never again! The four of us sat down at a table that was neither occupied nor marked with a reserved sign – unlike many other tables in the room. The restaurant was not even a quarter full at that point. After about 20 minutes (!) of waiting, a visibly annoyed waitress with very short hair arrived – no "hello," no greeting, nothing. Instead, we were informed in a rude tone that the table was supposedly reserved. When I pointed out that there was no sign on the table, the only response was the cheeky insinuation that we must have taken it away or put it under the table (!). That's not how you treat guests – especially not when the restaurant is almost empty. We left. Conclusion: Respect is undervalued and arrogance is paramount here. None of us will ever set foot in this restaurant again – neither for food nor for drinks.

Delicious pizza at normal prices

I had dinner here late at night with a friend a while ago. I have very positive memories of it: the pizza was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed!

The restaurant was discreetly located on a side street, a bit away from the expensive tourist restaurants. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly, and the value for money was also good.

Good service, great selection of pastas and pizzas, very casual but warm ambiance. The tart and salty pizza with octopus and shrimp was tasty! They also have a wild boar pasta that I might try. Wonderful place. Go! Enjoy!

My girlfriend and I actually wanted to get two pizzas, but first we only had a Margherita to see if we were still hungry afterward. The pizza was really good, no complaints. We even gave a decent tip when we picked it up, even though it was only a takeout. After eating at the market square, we were hungry again and went back around 9:45 p.m. The restaurant was half empty and – as before – there was only one cook. Nevertheless, we were turned away in a very rude manner, supposedly because they no longer do takeout. Honestly: Being alone is okay, but then displaying such a completely unprofessional attitude just seems extremely unprofessional. Especially from the waitress – she was really rude and obviously not in the mood. The first waiter had been friendly beforehand, but unfortunately that didn't make up for it. We're two young, relaxed people who just wanted something to eat – nothing more. Instead, they're foregoing revenue and treating guests like this? It really doesn't have to be that way. Conclusion: Pizza is good, but unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it because of the way we were treated.

What did you change with the pizza? It had a really strange aftertaste and an unpleasant smell today. Our 3-year-old daughter and I don't like it at all anymore :-( I only managed two small slices. (Salami & Margarita Pizza) We always loved this one. What a shame. Unfortunately, I wasn't there, so my wife brought it with her. I just reached the nice V_ _ _ by phone. Unfortunately, she didn't know if she could give me a refund if I came by and brought the remaining 3/4 of the pizza. The manager will be back tomorrow; should I try it here? What a shame! I used to live right next door to the restaurant and always loved it.

No!! I sat down alone outside at a table for two to eat and drink!! There were people eating at tables next to me. Then I ordered. Suddenly an alternative waiter came and said the table was reserved and suddenly everyone else outside was too! I should please sit inside, which I refused.... The real reason is that a group came who wanted to sit together. How to remove guests who are alone!! Thanks!! Never again, this is no dealings and no service!

Disappointing experience – unfortunately not felt welcome We wanted to spontaneously eat in this pizzeria one evening as a group of seven people. Although there was obviously enough space in the restaurant and there were no reservations, we were refused entry for no understandable reason. The decision seemed more conveniently motivated than organizationally justified - a shame. Especially in the hospitality industry, you expect a minimum of flexibility and hospitality, especially when capacity is clearly available. Unfortunately that wasn't the case here. That's why we won't be coming back

An all-round successful evening at Schulzi! We had a wonderful evening at Schulzi in Heidelberg. The food was consistently delicious – we loved both the pizza and the starters. Particularly noteworthy is the very attentive and friendly service, which made the visit even more pleasant. The wine list is excellently put together, with exciting and well-selected items. The starter platter currently has a vegetarian and a meat version. Personally, we would have liked a mixed option – that would have been ideal for us. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable evening – we’d love to come back!

Das Ambiente war einladend und die Drinks waren echt gut, wenn auch etwas stark gemixt. Der Service war noch etwas verhalten, aber das liegt wahrscheinlich an der fehlenden Erfahrung. Alles im allem kann ich einen Besuch empfehlen.

The food is delicious, the service is friendly. Unfortunately, the pizza used to be better (especially the dough) and the prices are a bit too high for what you get.

I just visited this restaurant and placed an order for four different pizzas. Unfortunately, the staff appeared to have difficulty processing the order, and I had to reorder it after waiting for a while. Then I was informed that the maximum waiting time would be 35 minutes. However, after waiting for 45 minutes—already beyond the promised time—I was told that my pizzas could not be found. A staff member named Yanika then informed me, with a laugh, that there was no order placed under my name. I found this response with a laugh very unprofessional and disappointing, and I am left wondering if this level of service reflects the restaurant’s usual standards. After all this, I finally received my pizzas and left the restaurant. However, when I opened the box, I realized that one of the four pizzas was not what I had ordered. Waiting such a long time with my child, being treated disrespectfully, and then receiving the wrong order was extremely disappointing. Given the attitude of the staff, I did not expect any proper service recovery, but a sincere apology would have been the least one could hope for. I will certainly not be returning to this restaurant again.

Yooo!! Finally a good pizzeria in Heidelberg! It was me and my work colleagues for a quiet evening. I would say it's a great place for this type of dinner, even for couples. The environment is clean and overall ok, not very well-kept but the atmosphere is relaxing, with loud Italian indie music in the background that allows you to have a pleasant conversation. The service was excellent, the waitresses attentive, precise and calm. I had a Salami pizza, which is served thin and with a taste that is very close to an authentic pizza, and a couple of beers. Not very abundant, but it cost me 22 euros in total, therefore affordable. As an Italian I have never heard a pizza called Octopussy, but apart from that I would say they can keep the PIZZERIA sign up. If you are passing by, you should definitely go and see the stones in the bathroom!

The pizza quality here is very bad, it is not fresh. It seems like they got frozen prepared pizzas and they just warm them up. Super surprised of the reviews here and also the recommendations some people did. The staff and music nevertheless are good, maybe it is just worth it here to have a drink but definitely not to eat.

Clear recommendation, the pizza is very Italian (thin crust, few ingredients and very tasty). The furnishings are chic and simple. I liked it very much. I'll be back.

Went there based on a recommendation… unfortunately they were the nastiest and worst pizzas we have ever eaten. My salami pizza had an unpleasant smell when it was served. Little flies flew around us the whole time we were eating. Selection quite small. The waiter didn't come to collect for ages, even though it was very clear, so we went ahead and paid. We wouldn't go there again and wouldn't recommend it.

Great pizza (four cheese and beetroot)! Best pizza we've had in a long time. The homemade orange-ginger lemonade on the sweet pizza box menu was totally awesome. Worth every recommendation.

There were two of us and we had reserved a table and that was probably a good thing. The food was good but not cheap. The toilet could be a little cleaner. But otherwise always happy.

NEVER AGAIN Schulzi! We had reserved a table for 6 p.m. At around 7:40 p.m. we were asked to leave the restaurant within 20 minutes because the table had been reserved again. There was no mention of this before. We do not like retroactive changes to terms and conditions. Of course, maximizing profits is the goal of every pub. The bosses of the operating GmbH should nevertheless think about whether hospitality and comfort play a role in the long term.

It's rare to find a restaurant in Germany that serves real Italian pizza. Other dishes are good but nothing special.

We were here for the first time and were very surprised. Very nice staff and very friendly. We only ordered dessert and something to drink, the homemade tiramisu was particularly delicious. Always my pleasure

I've been to Schulzi several times and the pizza is really solid. Terrible base, average tomato sauce. But I do have a few things to criticize. Canned mushrooms…really? Why not just chop up a pack of mushrooms...they taste a thousand times better than the slippery, wobbly things. Also, do you have ready-made pesto on the bruscetta? I mean, I think almost thirteen euros for the six mini slices is a bit cheeky anyway, but then just supermarket pesto? I hope you don't use the same thing for the pasta too. Apart from that, a Margherita, for example, costs just under €9 at the moment, so it's really cheap (recommendation!). The service is always very nice and the atmosphere is calm, elegant and at the same time relaxed (even if the guests usually dress up to visit here). So as you can see, I'm a bit conflicted because of the horrendous price differences, small quality defects and the contrasting positive points mentioned above. I would still recommend it.

We got two pizzas to take away and one had spoilt salami on it. When I called to inform them about that, they apologized and offered a free replacement. When we weren’t able to make the trip to the restaurant again the same day, they said it’s fine to come by a different day. When we wanted to come by a few days later, all of a sudden the offer was off the table. Conclusion: Terrible service culture and hit and miss in terms of food quality. Don’t recommend.

Visited Heidelberg again on January 2nd and discovered this somewhat unusual "Italian". The concept is clearly designed for the evening business in the summer months, when the bear dances on the nearby Neckar meadows. So there was nothing going on on a winter afternoon. The atmosphere is nice, fun and clean. The service was lovely and interested, the pizza just as I ordered it; nothing special but good, plentiful and tasty. I think the price is still reasonable because Heidelberg and the drinks are not exorbitantly priced.

Unfortunately I didn't like the pizza and I didn't particularly like it either. Also high prices for what you get. I won't go there anymore.

Despite the appealing menu, the food is uninspired and tasteless. Service started very well, but later became extremely poor. You should avoid sitting near the kitchen, where you can occasionally smell of cigarette smoke and, once the kitchen is closed, there is an unpleasant smell of chlorine.

The staff was really nice and attentive, there's nothing to complain about. But the pizza was a complete disappointment. The dough was bland, the topping seemed bland, and the taste left a lot to be desired. I'm sorry, but I didn't expect something like this in a restaurant. Maybe it was a slip-up, but unfortunately it wasn't a good impression for me.

Eigentlich super. Aber, wie schon mal festgestellt: Ist wenig los und der Service gut besetzt ( z.B. am frühen Abend) ist der Service leider schlecht.Das heißt: lange Wartezeiten auf Service und Bestellung. Würde man eigentlich anders erwarten.

Very nice, attentive and courteous staff. Very good pizza and appetizer platter. In contrast to shortly after opening (the tables were far too close together), there is now a lot of space and surprisingly quiet, very comfortable. I hope the seating won't be significantly tighter even "after Corona". April 2024: I've enjoyed coming so far, the food was great and the service was great. Last time, however, there was almost no service at all despite about 4 young service staff and an empty restaurant (around 5:00 p.m.). We waited about 40 minutes for drinks (with a reminder), the order was not remembered, then after about 1.5 hours within 10 minutes the exact same wrong pizzas arrived twice (brought by different service staff).. The further one ( in the hope of learning from mistakes) The drink order was then forgotten as soon as we left the table. Since we were sitting inside, we weren't out of sight, but noticed that everyone was having a good time and had no interest in what was going on had. Conclusion: Pizza is good, but as long as the service doesn't know what it's supposed to do, you can't go there any longer. Too bad. October 2024: Pizza great. Service as described: lots of service staff and few guests = no or bad service.

Impeccable service, same dishes, not to be missed

We only stopped here because our hotel was nearby. We've never had such bad pizza. *Octupussi* Without cheese. The menu said olives and garlic. Unfortunately these were missing. The tomato sauce has no taste, the base is hard. The second pizza* salami* was only better because the salami was seasoned. The ambience - not nice! There is an unpleasant smell of urine. The chairs are uncomfortable, the ceilings were probably forgotten after the renovation and were not plastered. It's supposed to represent an old ambience of a pizzeria but it didn't work! Complaint about the pizza was only regretted, nothing else was offered! The service was nice and quick. Certainly student help. There are definitely no Italians cooking here. The name Schulzi makes you curious, but that's all.

Beim ersten Mal als wir im Schulzi essen waren, waren wir begeistert von der Pizza. Das zweite Mal.. Heute: mehr als pure Enttäuschung. Alle 2 Sekunden ist den Angestellten etwas runter gefallen/zerbrochen. Unser bestelltes Essen ließ auf sich warten und das Wildschwein Ragout war verdorben? abgelaufen? schlecht? Mein Partner hat seit Stunden mit Übelkeit, erbrechen und magendarm ähnlichen Symptomen zu kämpfen. Also danke für diesen Reinfall an unserem Jahrestag. Das geht echt gar nicht! Mir unverständlich wie so etwas passieren kann, hoffe nur auf keine weiteren Folgen..

There were 10 of us and the store was pretty empty. We had to wait over an hour for 8 pizzas and 2 salads. Both parties with salad immediately developed a gastrointestinal illness. There was no soap in the women's toilet and not even a soap dispenser in the men's room. I've never eaten so badly.

Always happy to eat Italian here - delicious and cheap. Nicely decorated, young crowd, only short waiting times for food. And really inexpensive. Parking on the street is problematic, but the Nordbrückenkopf parking garage is fine. Tram stop around the corner.

Pasta unfortunately tasteless... Pizza tastes okay but too dry.

The staff is friendly but also inattentive. The chefs are not Italian, but the pizzas taste quite good. The sanitary facilities are relatively unclean. You can see and smell a lot of urine everywhere. Overall, the ambience is not used style but, if you look at it soberly, simply used. Overall impression ok, but wouldn't necessarily come back.

Great pizza (Margarita), great pasta dishes ("Schulzi wants Meer", I thought it was a pizza, but it was a very fine pasta dish) and all of this surrounded by very friendly service and a great ambience with the open window facing the street. .. And the drinks were excellent too! Direct hit!

It would be nice to be informed when the pizza to go is ready or how things are going in the store. What a shame! A great pizza. It's great that you sit right next to the oven. But I wouldn't recommend this on hot days! :D No, really a great restaurant. It wasn't my last visit. Some people don’t like this “misshapen pizza”. But I think she's great. It also tasted very good.

Your pizza and salads are great! And we will definitely come back. With children it is really practical to sit at your cozy windowsill. Yesterday there was a lot going on at the castle lighting and it's understandable that not every order gets through. Next time I would like to have a larger selection of non-alcoholic drinks that I can also enjoy as a pregnant woman ;))

Ich bin bisher gerne gekommen, das Essen war toll und der Service großartig. Beim letzten Mal allerdings gab es trotz ca. 4 jungen Servicekräften bei leerem Restaurant ( gg. 17:00) nahezu gar keinen Service. Wir haben ca. 40 Minuten auf Getränke gewartet ( mit Erinnerung), Bestellung wurde nicht erinnert, dann kamen nach ca. 1,5 Stunden innerhalb von 10 Minuten zwei Mal exakt die selben falschen Pizzen ( gebracht von unterschiedlichen Servicekräften).. Die weitere ( in der Hoffung aus Lernen aus Fehlern) Getränkebestellung wurde dann auch direkt mit Verlassen des Tisches erstmal vergessen.. Da wir drinnen saßen waren wir auch nicht außerhalb des Blickfeldes, sondern haben mitbekommen, dass man sich untereinander gut unterhalten hat und kein Interesse am weiteren Geschehen hatte. Fazit: Pizza gut, aber solange der Service nicht weiß was er eigentlich tun sollte kann man dort nicht länger hingehen. Schade.
