Very tasty food, authentic Italian, absolutely fair prices! One of the best pizzas we've ever eaten! All ingredients are fresh, the service is super friendly, even if we were alone when we visited and therefore rotated a bit. Gladly again!

Were traveling through Heidelberg with a small child. The child has just decided to get sober before the holiday, so he has to do it quickly when he says he has to. We were just near the restaurant and went in with him and politely asked the waiter if I could use the toilet with the child; he answered yes and pointed in the direction of a door. Behind it it looked dirty and old, there was a man sitting in an open door (probably the kitchen) smoking, who seemed grubby to me. Toilet ok. When we got out again, he yelled at me that there were public toilets three houses away and we didn't have to use his rooms, use his electricity, etc. Unfortunately, I couldn't understand him very well. I explained to him that I asked politely and his colleague allowed me to. He continued to swear at something, I asked again what he meant, but he was probably tired of it and moved away through the passage/smoking area/kitchen or whatever that was towards the counter. As I was leaving I asked his waiter again if I hadn't asked in a friendly way - no response - afraid? But nowadays you can find jobs, ask me why Someone who still has employees these days 🤔 The two of them also seemed friendly otherwise. In other restaurants there are notices that say “toilet use only for guests or for 50 cents” or something like that. That would be a good measure if it drove him to ruin like that. He could have sent me further or instructed his employees accordingly, but he didn't. By the way, we left everything tidy. That really put a damper on my mood. We thought about ordering something there but then quickly moved on.

Phenomenal pizza, like in Bella Italia. Service very friendly lady and boss authentically Italian. Fresh artichokes instead of canned ones, as well as peppers... without black spots from the oven, it couldn't be better. Ambience typically old Italian, irrelevant for us - it's about the food. Always happy to come back. 😍

The restaurant looks attractive. The service was friendly. I'm just rating the dish I ate here. I can't judge how the other dishes taste! I had penne with minced meat sauce and mozzarella al forno. It really didn't taste like anything. That's not an exaggeration. The penne was very soft and the "sauce" was actually just water. Virtually no taste. I tried to save the whole thing with salt and parmesan that I "stole" from my girlfriend. Didn't work. I left most of it alone. When the waitress asked if it was tasty, I replied "not so much". Reaction? An uncertain laugh. That's it. I've probably never had such bad pasta in a restaurant. Actually, I should have said something right at the beginning, but I didn't want any stress, I just wanted to be left alone.

I am really disappointed with this restaurant. My three friends and I were literally thrown out of the restaurant because there was apparently no more space. The boss yelled at us and treated us very rudely. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable! I will definitely not recommend this restaurant English I am truly disappointed with this restaurant. Good location, charming appearance, unfortunately the food is disappointing! Without exception, everything from the pizza with vegetables tasted like “nothing”, which is something you have to get over in the summer. The salad at the front wasn't a revelation either. Maybe the pasta is better... Prices are very cheap for old town, I have to say.

They invent a supposed problem with water due to laziness in working, this did not happen in Spain.

I have been to this place two times, and both the times I had different vegetarian pizzas and pastas from the menu. I must say the restaurant has enough vegetarian options to choose from. I loved the taste, and the service. The restaurant doesn't take reservation and takes cash only.

An absolute insider tip just because of the prices. €7 for a pizza in 2024 is sensational. The quality of our food was great, and the long wait was understandable because there was only one service. Overall very satisfactory.

Unfortunately no recommendation. The service was very nice, but when we saw how the boss treated his employees we would have liked to leave straight away. Inside it is anything but clean. The food wasn't bad, but not particularly good either.

I've known L'Osteria for a long time and am thrilled that this restaurant has finally made it to Heidelberg, albeit only recently. The food is great, the service was also great and was supported by the super nice Wafaa from Viernheim. Of course, the Heidelberg team still needs to grow together and then the service will get even better. Keep it up! 🥳

Osteria Alfredo offers truly delicious food that will make your mouth water. In my opinion the best Osteria in Heidelberg. The flavors are authentic and the dishes are prepared with love. However, the cleanliness could be improved. Alfredo, the owner, is humorous, but sometimes he seems stressed, which is a shame because customers can sense it.

The Osteria was once an insider tip in HD. Now all Alfredo and his wife want is to finally be able to retire. Every guest seems to be an imposition for Alfredo.

This place could be the worst Italian restaurant I've ever seen. The chef/owner's actions are not acceptable. Pasta and pizza taste nothing special, and this place has serious hygiene problems. You feel very unwelcome here!

Osteria Alfredo is a culinary disappointment in every way. We were unfortunate enough to experience a meal at this location and deeply regret every minute we spent there. First of all, the table was dirty, with unidentified stains and leftover food from previous customers. Then the chef seemed to be in a state of constant frustration, which was reflected in the quality of the products. The pizza dough was raw to an unacceptable degree, which made the taste experience disastrous. The only positive element was the waitress who, while ok, was clearly overwhelmed by the pace of the chef (probably her boss). In summary, Osteria Alfredo doesn't even make it worth trying, let alone recommending.

It's been my absolute insider tip when I'm in Heidelberg for years. Tiny restaurant, rustic ambience, charming service and top food = just makes the thing perfect. The salad cost €7.50, the pizzas €10.50 each. Crispy and very generously topped. Insane value for money!

We ate pizza, it was very tasty. The wine was good too. The waitress was alone, so there was a bit of a wait. However, she was very friendly. The tables and chairs are a bit old. Still a cozy restaurant.

The request to replace the three visibly dirty glasses that were brought to us with our beer was met with a roll of the eyes by the waitress. She then went to work with a drying cloth that was also visibly dirty. We decided to drink from the bottle. The tomato salad that was served to us had a very slimy garnish. When I asked what it was, the owner took the plates out of our hands and threw us out. The guests sitting around us were just as shocked as we were. What remains is disgust and the memory of very unfriendly interactions.

The restaurant is cute, charming, and incredibly cheap. Food was good, especially the pasta, but our pizza would’ve been much better with just a few more minutes in the oven to crisp up the crust. The menu is confusing, there are two nearly identical sections? Cash seemed to be the only payment method as well.

Charming little gem in the heart of the old town. The owner is behind the stove creating Italian masterpieces. The place is simple but very authentic and warm. A must visit if you come to Heidelberg and prefer honest and tasty Italian cuisine.

They have been taking care of my beauty and wellness for 2 years and I am definitely happy with all the services provided. I personally prefer Ana for my facial procedures and usually go with Vera for IV infusions. But all the staff very kind and knowledgeable. Thank you ladies!!!

We were looking for a pizza at a fair price. Unfortunately, after placing our order, we discovered more and more problematic points: - the chef walked behind the counter with a cigarette in his mouth and then lit it behind the kitchen door - There is a lack of hygienic care on the food shelf and the products - on the way to the toilet you could catch a glimpse of what was supposed to be the kitchen, where the mascarpone for the pizza was right next to the cigarette pack - The table setting consisted of campsite-like knives and forks in an Ikea glass, as well as a plastic tablecloth - the dish towels looked very dirty and were very yellowed - the bread was open to the dining room and was only poorly covered in old baskets with dirty servings - the toilets were very dark, old and you didn't want to take a closer look - The pizza was baked more in a cake pan and was very doughy The food didn't really taste good. Never again, even if the waitress tried to make an effort.

Small but cozy, really Italian! An adjoining room has now been expanded so that reservations can also be made for smaller groups, which was previously not possible.

Das war heute mein dritter Besuch. Zum dritten Mal war das Essen absolut hervorragend! Wenn Mensch gut essen möchte, dann geht Mensch bitte hier her! Empfehlung! Zum dritten Mal war der Service die absolute Katastrophe. Der Service ist unaufmerksam, verliert gerne den Überblick und wirkt überfordert. Mensch möge also, wenn er hervorragend essen möchte, Geduld und Langmut mitbringen. Und ‚Nein‘, der Laden war nicht voll besetzt.

Das letzte Mal hatten wir ein bisschen Pech, dieses Mal waren wir zufrieden. Die Bestellung kam schnell und ohne Verwechslung, die Pizza war nicht angekokelt, der Salat lecker. Nur den Hugo müsste man halt umrühren, bevor man ihn serviert.

Zwischen all den hippen Lokalen, hier ein eher einfach gehaltenes Lokal mit angenehmen Preisen. Meine Gorgonzola Tagliatelle waren sehr lecker und die Portion ausreichend groß. Zu erwähnen ist die Bedienung - freundlich und sehr auf Zack, man musste nie warten. Auch die Küche war sehr flott. Auch an keinem der anderen Tische gab es Wartezeiten.

Sowohl die Pizza als auch die Pasta bekommt man an vielen Orten Heidelbergs in deutlich besserer Qualität. Ich war zweimal da, beim ersten Mal waren die Pizzen in Ordnung, beim zweiten Mal war sowohl die Pasta als auch die Pizza versalzen und der Teig nicht richtig durch (vielleicht hatte der Koch auch einen schlechten Tag). Wenigstens sind die Preise nicht allzu hoch. Die Kellnerin war in beiden Fällen freundlich und man wurde schnell bedient. Insgesamt würde ich klar abraten, einfach weil das Essen zu schlecht war. Es gibt genügend andere, bessere italienische Alternativen in Heidelberg.

Wer gerne richtig italienisch Essen gehen möchte kann hier die heimische Küche in vollen Zügen genießen. Es schmeckt wie in Italien und fühlt sich auch so an. Zurückversetzt nach Italien, in ein kleines ursprüngliches familiengeführtes Restaurant, in einer seitlich verstecken Gasse....

Wir haben nach einem guten Italiener gesucht der nicht allzu Teuer ist. Die Preise waren vollkommen ok und die Pizza auch sehr lecker. Die Gnoochi mit Salbeibutter waren aber nicht besonders lecker… Würde ich so nicht nochmal bestellen und vielleicht auch eher nochmal einen anderen Italiener in Heidelberg.

Ambiente ist sehr schlicht gehalten. In der Seitenstraße sitzt man etwas bergab. Bei Nudeln und Pizza gibt es jeweils eine kleine oder große Portion. Wir hatten die Nudeln in groß und die Pizza in klein. Die Nudeln waren eine wirklich große Portion. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis finde ich gut.

We had to wait for 30 minutes for the waitress to take our order. Then another 20 minutes to recieve food. The food itself was mediocre.

Cmon guys you all know that you won't find any better (and cheaper) italian place with big portions and quality food here around in Heidelberg. It's for sure a hectic place where 1 chef and 1 waitress are serving 16 tables at the same time, so of course you won't feel treated like kings and queens, but cmon.... you will spend 25€ (food+drinks) for 2 where on the next corner that would be the price only for one person.

Wir waren für einen Kurzurlaub in Heidelberg. Die negativen Rezensionen können wir gar nicht nachvollziehen. Beide Male als wir hier essen waren, haben wir als sehr authentisch und angenehm empfunden. Das Essen war super lecker und der Preis dafür sehr sehr befriedigend. Die Servicekraft war freundlich und wir wurden schnell bedient. Danke für das leckere Essen!
