The steak was spot on perfect. Soft like butter on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside with a pleasant roasted aroma. The burrata salad was also highly recommended. Ambience is wonderful and very cozy.

It's completely unclear to me where the good reviews came from before. Created by a bot in China? The ambience was rather simple, with the impression of wanting to make something better out of a former pizzeria? The Asian lady served us very hard and friendly, but unfortunately she didn't really fit into the concept. The best part of the meal was the bottled beer. The steaks were grossly over-salted, cut way too thin, tough and cold. Salad floating in oil, bread burnt, pepper sauce from a can. The steaks started at €25.00, too expensive for this quality. The Cre’mant was poured very puny. The chef kept coming out of his cave to speak to the guests (with a beard down to his stomach), which would be nice in itself. His jacket was just pretty dingy. At home, the hair and clothes smelled of rancid grease. NEVER AGAIN!

Excellent food and exceptional service! We visited The Block for the first time and were immediately impressed by the lovely ambiance. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding! It was beautifully seasoned, the menu was plentiful, and the food was beautifully presented.

I was eating alone for lunch on Sunday, April 9, 2025. I was immediately offered a great seat outside. The waiter who served me was extremely friendly and competent! I ordered a 400g ribeye steak. The steak was nicely marbled with fat, super tasty, and the fries were really good. They even included dessert with the fries for no extra charge. The only thing I didn't like was that the steak had to cook for a long time on the stone. I needed a second stone, which arrived immediately. I actually needed a third, but I didn't want that, and it was just about medium. Next time, I'd order it medium so I don't have to cook it myself for so long. It's really cheeky that you have to clear the table again after an hour! The food was cold and you were pressured to eat and leave the restaurant quickly! Weak how it turned out.

we were there yesterday with my Aunt from U.S and she ordered our food in ENGLISH. We ordered 5 steaks with salad and 2 SODA. Once the 2 Soda came, the other waiter named ROLAND shouted and laughing in German " Give them also 6 Straw". ( we are 6 by the way 2 child 1 senior 3 adult) I dont drink a lot of cola thats why we intended to order only 2 because my kids have their own water.) I understand what he said because i live in berlin and i speak German as well .I told him in German that i understand what he means .. He told me that the straw is for kids. ( Who the h*ll drink 2 Soda with 6 Straw? ) and he told me that was a misunderstanding. I understanf what he means 100% er hat uns verarchen!! we are really offended humilated with the other costuner who is alsogermans!! we asked for the manager to have a complaint but the manager came and defended him she said also that the straw is for children. ( is your children also drink 2 Soda using 6 straw? .. I know what he means that we ordered only 2 soda and we will share it together.. he think i dont understand german thats why he make fun of us usibg their language. ( the manager told us that we get a new waiter. No Apologies no sorries. thats all.. ) They are rude!!. After we ate we go out of the restaurant and saw once again this waiter besidr the another waitress in front . The waitress said byebye and thank you and that waiter ROLAND still laughing and still enjoying pissing us off... Thats how you trained your waiter?? We just wanted to eat after a vacation in münich and this what we get?! Is this how you treat your costumer? we didnt do anything wrong about you we didnt deserved to be treated like that!. For the tourist out there dont visit this restaurant if you dont underrstand german they will make fun of you using their language so you didnt understand!! Service: 1/5

Despite on the website saying it opens for lunch, I was there today at 12h and it was not open ! Door locked, curtains closed .. very disappointing. If you don’t open for lunch you should write that

The sirloin steak is very good. I recommend it.
