The service is excellent! The atmosphere is also very nice! Unfortunately the steaks and fries were lukewarm! And that even though the grill is less than 5 m away. Completely incomprehensible. You can happily do without a steak that is lukewarm, especially at today's prices.

we were there yesterday with my Aunt from U.S and she ordered our food in ENGLISH. We ordered 5 steaks with salad and 2 SODA. Once the 2 Soda came, the other waiter named ROLAND shouted and laughing in German " Give them also 6 Straw". ( we are 6 by the way 2 child 1 senior 3 adult) I dont drink a lot of cola thats why we intended to order only 2 because my kids have their own water.) I understand what he said because i live in berlin and i speak German as well .I told him in German that i understand what he means .. He told me that the straw is for kids. ( Who the h*ll drink 2 Soda with 6 Straw? ) and he told me that was a misunderstanding. I understanf what he means 100% er hat uns verarchen!! we are really offended humilated with the other costuner who is alsogermans!! we asked for the manager to have a complaint but the manager came and defended him she said also that the straw is for children. ( is your children also drink 2 Soda using 6 straw? .. I know what he means that we ordered only 2 soda and we will share it together.. he think i dont understand german thats why he make fun of us usibg their language. ( the manager told us that we get a new waiter. No Apologies no sorries. thats all.. ) They are rude!!. After we ate we go out of the restaurant and saw once again this waiter besidr the another waitress in front . The waitress said byebye and thank you and that waiter ROLAND still laughing and still enjoying pissing us off... Thats how you trained your waiter?? We just wanted to eat after a vacation in münich and this what we get?! Is this how you treat your costumer? we didnt do anything wrong about you we didnt deserved to be treated like that!. For the tourist out there dont visit this restaurant if you dont underrstand german they will make fun of you using their language so you didnt understand!! Service: 1/5

We ate here on January 2nd, 2025. Unfortunately the food was not satisfactory. Since we have been to the Block House several times (Frankfurt, Berlin, Lübeck), we know the food very well and unfortunately have to say that it was by far the worst here in Munich so far. The kids' burgers were dry and our steaks died (done well) twice. It's always nice that the younger children get something to color in, but you should also make sure that the pencils are sharpened. The pencils were completely worn out and needed to be sharpened.

I ordered a New York cheese burger. I expected a proper burger, with french fries and coleslaw. A plate McDonalds fries, a small cucumber with max. one spoon of coleslaw and finally the „cheese burger“ arrived. It was half a bread with cheese. No Ketchup, no Mayonnaise, not even a single salat leaf… and all of this for 17.00€. Insanely disappointing dinner, I suggest to focus on Steaks, instead on „burgers“.

Hey, our waiter Paul...was a 10 out of 10👍😃very accommodating, nice, polite...without being intrusive...food good as always...nothing to complain about locally as usual...greetings from the Palatinate small pastry shop......🥳

Food too expensive for the quality, a lot of tendons in the T-bone steak and unless I pass it on it was nothing.

At the beginning we waited 15 minutes for someone to kindly bring us the card, my fiancé wanted to leave but I convinced him to stay and it was a big mistake. The lady, who is not a waitress but probably a room manager, did not inform the waiters about our arrival. A gentleman named Roland finally came up and asked if we wanted to place an order. We ordered two steaks with salads (which are included) and an appetizer. We waited quite a long time to drink. About 20 minutes for the appetizers, then the waiter came with the steaks, we informed him that we were still waiting for the appetizers, rolled his eyes and walked away with them, and after another 5 minutes he came with the appetizers and said an unpleasant "sorry". After eating, we were brought cold steaks, which the waiter made a mistake and gave us the wrong ones. It wasn't our first time at this place but today it was a definite failure. Even though the food is very good, we recommend choosing the one on Leopoldstraße. Better service and such errors never happen there. We will definitely not come back.

Very attentive friendly service, food good as always

The Blockhouse am Elisenhof is a lovely, tasty, friendly restaurant for everyone, but especially for ages between 25 and 50, with a preference for good, healthy, home-made cuisine. The ambience is simple and almost minimalist, but very friendly, inviting, almost homely. The employees do their best, the food is above average, I somehow feel at home there. The prices are affordable, on average actually 20-40 euros, but every now and then (or on certain days of the week) there are special promotions from 12-13 euros. The selection of drinks and prices leaves nothing to be desired and everything is there to enjoy your stay and meals!

Long waiting times, not getting what you ordered, but friendly service

The time to be seated and order was short and the food was also good. It came out quickly. Meal time takes 30 minutes It took 40 minutes to calculate. I ordered a steak, two glasses of beer, and a seasonal salad. It came to about 40 euros. At first I understood that the calculations were slow because it seemed busy, but later I felt upset when I saw the server chatting with colleagues. When requesting payment, the server asks about dessert. It bothered me that I unconsciously shouted no out of frustration, and after waiting for 15 minutes, the server brought the bill and asked if I wanted to give a tip. Feeling my last conscience, I pointed to the total amount of the bill and answered just. where are you from? China? When asked, I chose not to tip. There is no longer any regret. Other tables also appear to be slow in calculation. I think the server is just slow. It's not pleasant to ask where you're from. (I just kept smiling) If you are planning a very leisurely meal Go for a delicious meal.

Service was great, our waiter made everything possible even though many things were no longer available. T Steak was full of sinew but to the point and tasty. Potatoes were like they weren't freshly prepared. It's complaining at a very high level. That's why I can only recommend it.

It's kind of like a high end Outback. The filet was cooked to the perfect temperature but was not seasoned. The waiter was a bit slow.

Tasty steak but waiter / manager who welcomed us at the entrance was rude ! Although I made a reservation by phone no one noted that in their guestbook… mr manager was not happy to search for a table for us… a few minutes later we got a table…

Great! They can do meat! We ordered the filet mignon medium. We had also ordered for pickup in the past. At home everything was still hot and the steak was perfectly medium well. If you like steak and value quality, you've come to the right place. Addition: There are also vegetarian dishes and lunch options. Really something for every taste! Rating: Recommended!

I frequent Block House a lot around Germany but unfortunately this one in munich wasn't the same. The service was chaotic; the steaks came out blue-rare on the inside and were burnt on the surface (we ordered them medium). It's definitely not the usual service we receive from block house. I'd still recommend block house but not if in munich.

Wanted to get an "American Steakhouse" type meal while we were traveling in Munich for a week. The atmosphere was good and service was acceptable, but not outstanding. I wanted the larger Ribeye cut but was informed that they were out of that. So then I had to decide between the smaller cut Ribeye or the much more expensive T-bone. I went with the small Ribeye. After tasting my steak and realizing that the flavor wasn't anything special, or as good as I was expecting, I was glad that I hadn't paid for the higher priced cut. I would have been deeply disappointed to pay almost $50 for an average tasting steak.

Price/performance is relatively fair. The service is friendly. All in all I was satisfied, but there is also a little room for improvement.

It looked like it was closed but upstairs is open. When we got our food, it was not correct. Missing dishes, cold dishes and steaks were not cooked to what we requested. 3 out of 5 of us had finished our meals before others came out. The food was nice when it was correct, but we wouldn't return as they just didn't have the orders or the service correct.

FRAUD!!! In my opinion, a restaurant that cannot be accepted, based on several case studies. On the one hand, I was blatantly lied to when ordering my Mr. Rumpsteak. I was told that there were no more baked potatoes, but my colleague ordered one and they were also served at the neighboring tables. Furthermore, another colleague and I both ordered a medium steak and received a rare steak and a well done steak. An unacceptable event for this price. It's a shame that the name Block Haus in the south of the country cannot be compared to the quality in the north. Conclusion: Not recommended and we will not visit the restaurant again.

The Block House at Elisenhof in Munich is a reliable address for excellent steaks and consistently high quality. As with any Block House restaurant, you can count on very good food here. The steaks are not cheap, but the price is absolutely justified for the quality and is definitely worth it. The service is always polite and friendly, which makes the visit even more pleasant. The garlic bread and the crisp salad are particularly delicious as starters - both perfect starters that leave you wanting more. Overall, you always leave the Block House completely satisfied and with the feeling that you were in good hands.

Very good chestnut soup. Unfortunately this time the steak didn't have much taste. But with salt and pepper it worked. The baked potato was just mush.

The food was good, the steaks were great and the service was also good. The prices are completely ok for what is on offer. The children's fries, for example, for 3 euros for a plate full of fries are great.

Very tasty and great service. Unfortunately our meat wasn't cooked to the right level, but it was handled very well, the meat was re-roasted and the lead layers were re-served. Definitely worth a visit.

After 30 years of Block House, the worst experience to date. Eating took forever. Disorganized store. No steak knife for steak. Small pile of fries with the steak. Salad too little dressing. Steak was rather well done instead of medium rare. Management is noticeably “trying”. Gift to the children was explained as compensation, even though every Block House has it after the meal. I was reminded of the times of Asado and Maredo. Not Eugen Block standard.

Very bad and rude staff! We got in the restaurant and the floor manager (not sure her name but she’s a brunette) is very rude, as well as the waiter didn’t even bother taking our order and have been ignoring us for the past 20 minutes with no one passing by to take our order. Don’t waste ur time.

I ordered the sirloin steak with fries and salad. Doneness medium rare. The doneness wasn't 100%, but ok. However, in a steakhouse I expect a steak knife without having to ask for one. The meat was very tender and difficult to cut. In addition, so much effort was put into making the branding pattern that it unfortunately tasted burnt and bitter. I had to order the ketchup for the fries three times because I kept forgetting. All in all, I wasn't happy and expected more.

We ate there and the restaurant is really nice and centrally located in the city. Our waiter, Thai, was extremely friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the salad, but unfortunately my rum steak was a bit burnt and therefore had a bitter taste, even though I ordered it medium rare. Maybe I'll give the dish another chance on my next visit.

Nice place, nice service, great food too!

Top service, unobtrusive, and very good selection on the menu. Daily menu, weekly menu and “a la carte” offer! Tasty and well served portions. Everything is recommended, especially the dessert at the end: waffle! The location of the restaurant is also very good, centrally in the city.

Food not good. Service took WAY TOO LONG. We waited around 1h to the food to come and it was not good at all. My recommendation is: do not come, many other places around with better food and service.

We always like to be guests at the Block House at Elisenhof, the food is always very good anyway, but this location impresses with the incredibly nice service - a big compliment especially to the young lady from Greece and to Jonas. You're great! :-)

Unfortunately, I have to say: I initially thought this restaurant was very good. But now I unfortunately have to say: the meat is by no means excellent and what bothers me the most is that the quality of the service is unfortunately trending downwards. For example: language problems, you have to wait a long time for service, or special steak knives only on request, one of which was completely dirty on our last visit. We have decided not to visit this restaurant anymore.

This was the second time. We were seated and waited for over 15 minutes without any menus on the table.

You can eat steak cheaply. I ate both the ribeye and fillet medium. It is not possible to select higher grade meat. It was very hard and not tasty. The BBQ sauce didn't taste good either. The cheeseburger was also not tasty. I've eaten steak all over the world, and I think this restaurant is cheap, but it's not delicious. For steak, we recommend spending a certain amount of money and going to a high-end restaurant such as El Gaucho. The staff's response is average. The atmosphere is good.

Excellent place, very good food

Super friendly staff. Very accommodating to families with small kids. Baby chairs were provided and the waiter was super sweet with the 4 year old in our group. There are three big seating areas. One outside, downstairs inside, and an even larger seating area upstairs with good AC and a nice panoramic window view (even though atm Munich hbf is more of a construction site). The food was great as you’d expect from BLOCK HOUSE, especially the filet Mignon. Absolutely worth its money. BLOCK HOUSE is just a classic, but this specific outlet made an especially good impression on me.

As always when you eat at Block House it was just amazing. Super nice service.

The fries smelled of old fat, the baguette was already old, and the meat didn't taste good and was well done instead of medium.

The restaurant is located on an intersection full of traffic and the noise of trams, which interferes with enjoying the experience. The food is delicious, if you do, they messed up one of the steaks we ordered. The salad that accompanied the main course was extremely poor, on the other hand the Caesar salad was excellent. The service is good. The prices are fair.

Great, attentive team. Very nice waiter who looked after us until the end of the evening. Even with the small mistake with the dessert, he reacted very quickly and corrected everything. He always asked about our wishes and even ordered a taxi for us if we requested. The food was delicious and the price-performance ratio was good. The meat was tender and salad was freshly prepared. We made a reservation, but they made us wait at the entrance for 20 minutes. I brought the menu to our table myself because the waiters were too incompetent. The food is so-so. Not recommended for a business lunch.

ate here 4 times, the quality is always different, sometimes meat is good, sometimes it is tasteless and burned through. Salads are also sometimes consist of pure salad leaves and sauce. Not really high level food. Better Buy a steak from Albania for 7 euro and cook at home. ))

We are regular customers of Blockhouse and were convinced by this one in Munich👍. The steak and the service is very great. There is also a €10 tip in there. We were traveling in Munich with hungry stomachs and saw a blockhouse. The mrs. But rump steak was out and an alternative was recommended which was great.

The scenery is beautiful and you can eat delicious food. I wanted a salad, so I went for the chicken salad, but the rump steak seems to be popular, so I recommend it.

We ordered medium rare. I got rare, my partner got English. Her steak was actually cold in the middle. That's why we had to have them fried again. When she started to eat, the little piece of paper probably came out of the packaging. I really expect it to be different at a steakhouse. At least we got dessert for free and it was good too. The atmosphere inside is very old.

I was traveling as a single guest, often difficult in the evenings. You had to take some time before you were assigned a place because the weather had rained on the outdoor places. After 15 minutes I got a seat at the counter - the best seat is at the counter. Despite the hut being full, the staff was very friendly and accommodating; I was served immediately. Starter good, main course the Mr. STEAK with all the side dishes a poem. Very tender meat, fried to medium rare, just like I wanted. Portion was plentiful, dessert didn't fit anymore. Price-performance ratio as expected. Once again, big praise for the staff: they remained professional when under stress, were friendly and correct, and moved quickly. The house is also very child-friendly, as I observed. For all those who are impatient: bring your time, you're on vacation. It's worth it...

Dear Block Haus! Today we were at their place, After waiting for 5-10 minutes, no one came to ask if we could sit, we asked and the waiter replied that we could sit at a free table. We sat down, 20 minutes later we hadn't received a menu, nothing, we asked if we could have one, the waiter told us that it was hard to tell when we just sat down but that the colleague would come, 15 Minutes later and no one had picked us up

Impudence! We ordered 2 filet mignon medium but received 2 rump steaks well done. When we were told that they tasted burnt, we were each offered a dessert or a coffee as compensation. Upon request, we did not receive a request for a discount. There was also no price adjustment for the dish received. Absolute cheekiness in my opinion.

It's no longer the blockhouse it once was. The service is friendly and helpful, but they also forgot some orders and always had to be reminded. That's not my way of complaining. But if the restaurant bills itself as a high-end steakhouse, then it has to “deliver.” The prices are ok for Munich standards. The food, well we all had the Mr rump steak with Blockhouse bread and baked potatoes. The steak was medium rare but, despite the fat edge, it was very dry, not very hot and, by Blockhose standards, rather subterranean. The side dishes were delicious. The atmosphere is very nice and inviting, well located and beautifully decorated 😁

We have been absolute lovers of the Block House chain for years. We have never had an incident like today anywhere else. We spontaneously went to the Block House around 7 p.m. today and there were about five FREE tables in the outside area on the left that had already been set. Another three tables still had to be wiped down and set because it was raining. My husband and I wanted to sit down at one of the finished tables (after we had already stood obediently at the entrance for almost 10 minutes and were never even greeted) and were sent back in a harsh tone with a dismissive hand gesture from the deputy operations manager. We said we just wanted to sit down and her answer was: “No, stay at the front. You won't be served anyway." So we dutifully positioned ourselves at the entrance again and she leisurely wiped down the other tables. After the second table, my husband asked her if she was really serious?! Now the lady became louder, so that the other guests also turned around. Really embarrassing behavior! Since things were about to escalate, we decided to leave and I asked you to give me a business card. This process had to be repeated because she gave me a card from the operations manager. Her patting after asking for the card and telling us to think about you were completely unprofessional and completely inappropriate. Not seating your customers is absurd and the deputy operations manager actually leaves the customers standing until the entire area is completely covered. The guests behind us also “escaped”. It's a shame we had to experience that at the Block House!

Food is not as good and portion is very small, I had the salmon, $24 euro, it was very tiny piece, not even 60g, so small, I thought it was appetizer, my husband had ribeye steak, $30 euro, it was not that good. It was overpriced lNot recommended!

Unfortunately, not the usual Block House quality here either. The wait for the food was long, the food was lukewarm and the portions were again small for the price. I recommend the Blockhouse near the Giselastrasse subway. The food and service are worlds better. I will avoid Rindermarkt and Elisenhof in the future.

A waiter took our order, there were 6 of us. Everyone ordered meat and cheap drinks... Drinks came quickly but unfortunately no food at all. After 45 minutes - 1 hour we asked where our orders were and they told us "The order has not been forwarded, it has been forgotten, it takes 20 minutes to arrive the order will come" We were so looking forward to meat, but after an hour we went somewhere else to eat our meat... Because they forgot, the boss offered us the drinks... Thanks anyway, and what a shame...

Excellent location near Hbf. It was very busy and they did a really good job of stopping by tables. The food was excellent. Great background music at a good level. Really enjoyed.

As a Block House lover, I have to register my displeasure here this time. Totally overwhelmed service, too many guests for the number of service employees...absolute misorganization on the part of the manager She herself had no overview and was also very grumpy. My recommendation: She should work on her charisma and train her colleagues who walk through the restaurant without smiling. Jounes very competent and friendly but also too much for him... The women's toilet was dirty due to wet toilet paper lying around and it certainly couldn't have been checked regularly.

Prime location and a yummy meal! Our waiter was super friendly and helped with his recommendations. We had a steak and the burger, both were cooked and flavored well. The house salad was quite delicious and the bruschetta was refreshing for the summer heat. They also have a dessert menu which they bring towards the end, it's got a few good options. The choco lava cake was really good. The ambience inside looked quite nice while we chose to sit outside. For most part it was good but it's a busy area so people tend to stop by for a smoke, tourist buses stop a little farther ahead so it can feel crowded, not the restaurants fault. But this was not a deal breaker for us during our visit.

Actually like the food from Block House. But the service is really bad. I haven't felt so unwelcome in a long time. Was ignored and had to draw attention to me several times to get anyone to even talk to me.

The steak and salad were good. They were understaffed in the front of house and need a few more waiters. The atmosphere felt like a chain restaurant on a corner of a busy intersection.

Simply put, the service is extremely slow, the food was nothing special and way to overpriced. I would recommend literally any other in place over this abomination of an establishment.

Sat looking at menus for 20 minutes. Watched people who arrived after us get served so we left. It wasn't busy. Poor service.
