ABACCO'S STEAKHOUSE München in München

What a shame, it's gone downhill so much!!! Our first and second visits to ABACCO'S were in Ulm, and we were very impressed and satisfied, so we looked for and found a similar location in Munich! However, the ABACCO'S in Munich has unfortunately declined significantly. We've visited it four times in the last six months, but the last two times we weren't as impressed with the quality or quantity of the food. Yesterday we were there, and what can I say? The price/performance ratio is no longer right. Since the prices are somewhat higher, one expects better quality food, especially the steaks. The 400g beef steak (€49.90) had at least 10-15% gristly meat that was inedible, unfortunately. The two corn on the cob we ordered were relatively small and arrived without skewers to hold them. When we asked how we were supposed to eat or handle the bread, they brought us two toothpicks to stick in it, but they were so thin that they broke relatively quickly. They really need to come up with something else! The house salad tasted old and wilted, as if it had been sitting on the plate for hours, and the garlic bread isn't what we remembered from the beginning (especially from Ulm). It's a shame; you can tell that the initial enthusiasm faded quickly and that the restaurant is either lacking management or simply not doing its job. The waiter who served us was very friendly and tried his best, but some people, including those behind the bar, clearly didn't want to work. Three of them stood chatting animatedly while a huge table wasn't cleared after the guests (around 20 people) left until we did. The service of bringing or even offering a fresh, hot lava stone was also missing. A real shame! Unfortunately, I already noticed the declining service and lower quality during my last visit, and I hoped it was just a one-off experience, but I guess I was wrong. If the 7% tax isn't passed on to the guests and you have to pay the full 19% on everything, then you at least expect good quality and decent service – that's not too much to ask, is it?

I ordered rum steak, it comes rare, you can take the whole piece of meat to a cold bowl, slice it, and cook it to your liking on a hot bowl. It comes with 3 sauces and french fries. It's a sufficient meal in this form.

All in all, a great experience. The concept of the hot stone directly on the table really appealed to me. It kept all your food warm. The fact that the steak was served with different sauces was also fantastic, as it allowed you to marinate it yourself. The meat quality was good. It was tender and juicy. The fries were decent, but practically lukewarm to cold and not crispy. They were also barely seasoned. The baked potatoes were very tasty. The grilled vegetables were practically raw. So I grilled them myself bit by bit on the hot stone. This didn't bother me too much, though, as I could keep them fresh to eat. The dips were all tasty. Overall, everything was a bit too oily and greasy for my taste. I wouldn't recommend the hamburger steak for that reason. It's definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a nice place to spend some time. The food quality is definitely solid, and thanks to the all-inclusive side dishes, you'll get a good meal without spending a fortune on the meat. If you're really after a steak, I'd probably recommend something else. For the price, it's worth it. It's a nice place to sit and eat comfortably.

A delicious steakhouse right in Munich. A large selection of steaks and as much of one side dish as you like. The staff was always attentive and friendly. The wait for the food was less than 5 minutes. It's brought directly to the table on a hot stone slab. Unfortunately, the fat splatters quite a bit over the edge. The tables are also rather close together, so the acoustics are quite loud. This is something to keep in mind.

Everything is very good. The water pressure in the toilet is a little low, but it's manageable.

Unfortunately had to deduct what would’ve been 5 stars but as I was walking to our table the floor was wet and I almost fell down, the Argentinian fillet was perfect as you get to cook it to how you want it & can get another hot stove if you want to cook it more. I despise soda so they swapped it to lemonade for me and our waitress was extremely helpful & friendly

It used to be better. Despite making a reservation well in advance, we were arrogantly/boredly squeezed in somewhere. We had to wait a long time for our order to be taken. The meat was tough, and the desserts were just as bad. It took ages for someone to come and take our dessert order. When one person was almost finished, the second person, who had ordered at the same time, finally received theirs. Neither the "warm" apple pie nor the Kaiserschmarrn were warm; they were cold, and the latter tasted as tough as shoe leather. For the price, we expected much more from the food and service.

Food was awesome, cooking your steak on a hot rock, unlimited fries, wine selection was good as well!

We recently went there for steak and were thrilled. The meat was of superb quality, and the side dishes were delicious. Our waitress Elina was always quick to reorder them for us. A big thank you to her! Very competent and friendly! We'll be back.

Definitely worth a visit! The service was extremely friendly. The Wagyu steak was very good, as were the garlic bread we ordered on the side and the fries with the three different sauces. The hot stone cooking concept was a highlight, but our clothes were a bit smelly afterward. 😄 We'll definitely be back.

I've been there about five times. Initially, it was great, but then it went downhill. The service was arrogant and annoyed – depending on what you ordered. The wait times were extremely long. Two guests at other tables weren't served at all. Another gentleman waited 40 minutes for the bill. Clearly, the restaurant is understaffed. The shift manager then further flustered the already overwhelmed waiter. It's a real shame, as I was very impressed after my first visit.

We've eaten here several times before and have always been very satisfied. However, today's visit was disappointing. The two of us spontaneously decided to have a late lunch at 3:00 PM. The restaurant was relatively empty, but several tables, including the one next to ours, hadn't been cleared. The bar, next to our table, was overflowing with glasses. It seemed as if the waitstaff had been on their hourly break. The steaks arrived, as always, and were good and relatively quick, but unfortunately, the fries were cold. By the time new fries arrived, we had almost finished our steak and salad. When we asked about it, we were told that the fries had to be deep-fried. When a female member of the waitstaff then started grumbling and running around the restaurant, it was clear that things weren't going well at all today. I hope the service returns to its former professionalism.

The steaks are truly excellent! The hot stone cooking system adds a special touch. Side dishes are all you can eat – meaning as much fries and salad as you like. The service was friendly but inattentive and sometimes overwhelmed. What really suffers, however, is the atmosphere – it's crowded, loud, and hot. Unfortunately, it's also not very clean – you walk past dirty cutlery and dishes piled up on a table in front of the kitchen. The restroom wasn't clean either. It's a shame, because the food was really very good.

Very nice shop, with a nice atmosphere and kind staff. The food was awesome! The meat is delicious, they bring it to you almost raw and you grill it yourself, as much as you want on hot plates.

Super place in the heart of Munich

The meat and sweet potatoes were okay, the fries were too dry, and the salad wasn't appetizing. The cocktails were good! The waiter was very nice! What really bothered me was the air quality... it smelled strongly of a deep fryer, so much so that my hair and clothes smelled strongly of it afterwards.

Angi provided excellent service, very courteous, attentive, and simply a lovely woman through and through! We'll be back!

It's something different than just eating steak. The steak arrives at your table pre-cooked on a hot stone, and you can decide how cooked the meat is by how long the slices stay on the stone. You should wear a bib, as the fat tends to splatter onto your clothes, especially at the beginning. Also, don't plan anything after eating, as you'll smell quite strongly of the fat. It's a nice, albeit expensive, experience. Here, you're primarily paying for the event, not the meat itself. The service was excellent.

We were here for our Christmas party. A very, very nice evening. The food arrived quickly and everyone had their meal at the same time. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely come back. The price was absolutely reasonable for a steakhouse.

It may not be typical Munich food, but it's still worth a visit if you're there. Even if you don't order meat, which is the main course, the soups (the tomato one is excellent), the salads, and the desserts are delicious... The service is excellent. The kids' menu is pictured, very affordable. It's worth a visit, and it's also close to the subway. The midweek lunch menu is very affordable. In fact, it's one of my favorite restaurants.

Update to the update ;-) : We were here again today, and sure, the prices have gone up a bit, like everything in Munich, but the service from Ify was top-notch today, so we were glad we gave ABACCO's another chance. Very friendly, they kept checking if we needed anything. Simply superb service. Thanks for the lovely evening. Update from today: We ate here again. Unfortunately, I have to revise my previous review (4 stars). The food still deserves 4-5 stars, even if the side dishes are rather mediocre and the steaks have become more expensive. The service today wouldn't have deserved a single star. Why? Well, we were left standing at our table for over 15 minutes. Then we were allowed to place our order. The food arrived after about 30 minutes. After that, the server was seen, but never at our table again. After more than an hour and a half, and wanting to pay since we hadn't even been able to order anything else to drink or eat, we tried our luck. It's worth noting our lack of luck… I then went to a visibly more attentive and considerably friendlier colleague and explained the situation. She apologized, even though it wasn't her fault, and sent the shift manager for us. We politely declined his offer of compensation in the form of a brownie or a drink, as it was sweltering inside and we had already been waiting for ages. Our request for the bill was only successful after reminding the shift manager and the friendly colleague again (at least 15 minutes had passed since the first request). The server herself didn't really try to apologize; on the contrary, she was rather rude afterward. Unfortunately, the service quality was also below average on our last visit. We paid the bill in full and finally "escaped" the steakhouse after more than two hours. We'll have to think about whether we'll come back. —————————— The price and quality of the steaks are perfectly fine. There's a wide selection of steaks and side dishes. The side dishes are rather average. Delicious wines.

Rude service! Ordering was so rushed that he didn't even let us finish speaking. We were seated in a private room and were asked to leave after two hours, even though we hadn't finished and wanted to order dessert. I understand that other guests were also waiting, but they could have communicated more politely and offered us an alternative table. I was very disappointed, and you expect more hospitality from such a "high-class" restaurant! I've never experienced anything like it in my life.

I went out for dinner with a friend today, and I'd only been sitting down for two minutes when Pablo came straight over and served us. I was shocked at how quickly it all happened, especially since the restaurant was full at 9 pm. I highly recommend it; it's even fun to sear your own steak.

We had a wonderful evening at Abacco’s in Munich! Our server, Fernando, was exceptionally attentive and friendly – ​​he immediately noticed when we needed anything without being intrusive. The service was truly top-notch and perfectly complemented the evening. The food was superb, the atmosphere very pleasant, and we felt completely at ease. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant!

Meals delicious and also serving the meal and presentation very very nice. Restroom is good enough. Staff is söiling face and service really quick. Only critic that I make is about air circulation. Because of ventilation is not sufficient, a strong smell of smoke is felt inside, and it permeates the clothes.
