Sehr gut zubereitete Fleischstücke

Es ist ein äußerst geschmackvolles Restaurant. Sowohl die Einrichtung als auch die Steaks sind einfach grandios. Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen, hier einen entspannten Abend mit seinen Liebsten zu verbringen. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Reza für die hervorragende Betreuung und die angenehme Begleitung während des gesamten Abends. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Sehr freundlicher und perfekter Service von Gerhard. Das Fleisch ist perfekt auf den Punkt und auch die Atmosphäre lässt keinen Wunsch offen.

Alles war bestens. Nach einer kleinen Reklamation was das Steak perfekt. Auch die Beilagen würden nochmals warm neu mitgeliefert. Als kleine Entschädigung gab es zur Wahl Dessert oder Schnaps. Sehr toll. Danke an das Team.

Ein richtig schön eingerichtetem Laden mit sehr leckerem Essen. Man hat hier aufjedenfall eine sehr authentische Steakhouse-Erfahrung, wo natürlich dementsprechend auch der Preis etwas höher sein kann. Lediglich vom Personal bin ich nicht so begeistert gewesen, unser Apperitif wurde 20 min nach Ankunft erst aufgenommen und kam auch gemeinsam mit dem Essen, was ich sehr unpassend finde. Insgesamt habe ich mich nicht allzu wohl aufgehoben gefühlt in der Hinsicht.

Egal wo, Graz, München, Wien, immer ein Besuch wert

Sehr unfreundliches Steakhaus. Wir kamen heute den 30.05.26 zu viert und wollten dort essen und trinken. Sowohl im Innenbereich als auch auf der Terrasse waren viele Tische frei. Trotzdem teilte uns die Bedienung in sehr unfreundlichem Ton mit, dass kein Service im Innenbereich möglich sei und wir nur draußen sitzen könnten. Als ich erklärte, dass zwei von vier Personen unter einer Pollenallergie leiden und deshalb gerne drinnen sitzen würden, wurde uns gesagt, dass wir dann nicht bedient werden könnten. Aufgrund dieser wenig kundenfreundlichen Behandlung haben wir das Restaurant verlassen und sind stattdessen ins nahegelegene „Goldene Kalb“ gegangen, wo wir freundlich empfangen wurden. Schade – so vergrault man potenzielle Gäste.

Ein wirklich tolles Steakhaus, mit, für diese hohe Fleischqualität, entsprechenden Preisen. Wir kommen wieder! Gestern waren wir nach 4 Jahren wieder hier Essen, ich finde das El Gaucho immer noch spitze, aber eben nicht günstig. Besonders dass Tartar Classic fand ich wahnsinnig gut. Top, weiterhin 5 Sterne.

Das El Gaucho liegt in einer sehr guten Lage in München, vor- und nach dem Besuch kann man also sich gut in der Stadt bewegen. Es ist ein Restaurant das auf die Atmosphäre wert legt und einen tollen Eindruck macht. Nach mehreren Besuchen bleibt der Eindruck es ist gut für einen schnellen Besuch sofern man nicht vorher reserviert hat, wenn man reserviert hat ist es auch für einen normalen Abend oder Tagesbesuch geeignet. Für besondere Anlässe ist es nicht empfehlenswert, sofern man für seinen Besuch und das Geld, das man ausgibt, ein tolles Erlebnis möchte. Für den Preis und Atmosphäre zu erwartende Details werden nicht ganz eingehalten, so zum Beispiel das Einschänken des Wassers durch den Service, es ist eine Kleinigkeit, die man sich jedoch für einen tollen Besuch und Atmosphäre wünscht. Zudem sind sie auch stark auf schnellen Besucherwechsel, auch wenn das Restaurant zum Zeitpunkt mehr als 50% frei ist. Es wird bewusst gemacht, dass man schnell sein soll, jedoch keine Alternative frühzeitig angeboten, sondern kurz davor darauf hingewiesen, dass nun der Tisch nicht mehr frei ist, ohne Alternative. Alles in allem, gutes Essen, tolles Ambiente innen sowie außen, super Lage, jedoch für Preis & äußerliches Erscheinungsbild nicht auf dem Niveau, wo es sein sollte.

Ausgezeichnet! Alles war wirklich außergewöhnlich! Das Essen war köstlich und sehr, sehr abwechslungsreich. Ich kann es absolut empfehlen! Auch die Freundlichkeit und Professionalität des Personals waren hervorragend.

Wir hatten keine Reservierung und kamen in der Hoffnung, einen Tisch frei zu finden. Zum Glück war noch Platz für uns, und wir wurden sofort platziert. Das Personal war während unseres gesamten Besuchs sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer machte. Alles wirkte entspannt und gut organisiert, und wir haben unseren Besuch sehr genossen. Das Restaurant ist auf Steaks spezialisiert, und das merkt man auch. Das Essen war absolut fantastisch. Die Speisekarte bot eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Steaks, Saucen und Beilagen, sodass für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei war. Besonders die Steaks waren herausragend – wahrscheinlich mit die besten, die wir je gegessen haben. Sie waren genau nach Wunsch zubereitet, zart und saftig und harmonierten perfekt mit den Saucen und Beilagen. Insgesamt war es ein fantastisches Erlebnis mit tollem Service, exzellenten Steaks und einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und können das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Hervorragend - das Essen besonders aber alles Andere auch: die wunderbar kühle Terrasse, das schöne Ambiente, die freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung, die Ausführungen des Kochs.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant im Zentrum von München, das Personal ist aufmerksam, die Atmosphäre ist angenehm, der Preis liegt etwas über dem Durchschnitt, ohne Reservierung ist es schwierig, einen Platz zu bekommen.

Es war ein so lustiger Abend! Gerhard im weißen Hemd hat uns hervorragend bedient und war immer pünktlich am Tisch, um unsere Gläser nachzufüllen, nach Getränken zu fragen oder einfach nur vorbeizuschauen, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Er empfahl uns einen deutschen Pinot Noir, der ausgezeichnet war – wir waren wirklich überrascht von deutschen Weinen. Gerhard hat ein tiefes Weinwissen und einen wunderbaren Sinn für Humor. Er ist ein echter Gentleman. Wir reisen bald ab, kommen aber bestimmt vorher noch einmal vorbei.

Essen top, aber der Kellner war absolut bodenlos – Eine absolute Schande! Wir waren schon hier zu Gast und bisher immer sehr zufrieden – das Essen war stets gut und der Service korrekt. Doch unser Besuch gestern am 14. Mai war definitiv der letzte. Wir saßen im hinteren Bereich beim Durchgang zu den Toiletten. Der Tisch war schön gedeckt und absolut in Ordnung. Auch das Essen war gut. Es ist wirklich schade, dass es für die Küche kein extra Sparschwein für Trinkgeld gibt – das Küchenteam hätte es absolut verdient. Der Kellner hat jedoch den gesamten Abend komplett ruiniert. Seine Inkompetenz und sein Verhalten waren absolut bodenlos. Beim Servieren kam kein einziges Wort über seine Lippen – kein „Bitte sehr“, kein „Guten Appetit“. Er hat die Teller einfach wortlos auf den Tisch geknallt. Zudem stand er permanent direkt über unserem Tisch, beobachtete uns ununterbrochen und verbreitete extreme Nervosität. Das Timing beim Servieren war eine glatte Null: Wir waren noch mitten bei der Vorspeise (Beef Tartar), als er uns schon die Filetsteaks für je 48 € brachte. Als Höhepunkt dieses Dilettantismus goss er den Wein weit über die 0,2l-Markierung hinaus voll in das Glas – offensichtlich nur mit dem Ziel, die 69 € teure Flasche Barbera Monferrato so schnell wie möglich leerzubekommen. Er war total desinteressiert und lustlos. Einen so unglaublich schlechten Kellner habe ich in meinem ganzen Leben noch nie erlebt! Für ein Restaurant dieser Klasse und bei diesen Preisen ist das eine absolute Schande. Unser definitiv letzter Besuch!

Wir haben Steak tartar bestellt ist als Vorspeise ist nicht gekommen! Als unsere steaks kamen haben wir gesagt das wir auf unseren steak tartar warten ! Sid bedinung hat einfach die teller aufs Tisch gestellt und sagt wir haben vergessen zu bonieren! Eine Entschuldigung were gut! Dann noch die Steaks untergegrillt wir haben Medium bestellt und haben Rear bekommen! Das dind kleine probleme die man mit Freundlichkeit lösen könnte! Aber das Service personal war weit weg davon !

Die Steaks sind der Hammer! Perfekt gebraten, alle Garpunkte am Tisch waren optimal. Wir wurden super von den Kellnern betreut obwohl das Lokal komplett voll war. Der nette Herr im weißen Hemd hat uns bei der Weinauswahl fachkundig unterstützt und uns toll beraten. Der empfohlene Blaufränkisch war die perfekte Begleitung zu unseren Speisen. Es war ein wunderbarer Abend und wir haben gelernt, dass österreichischer Wein ausgezeichnet ist.

Zum zweiten Mal. Gute argentinische Küche, fantastische Weinkarte (deutsche Preise, na ja). Alberto ist eher ein Freund als ein Kellner.

Die Preise waren etwas hoch, aber das Fleisch war köstlich. Daher kann ich sagen, dass das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ausgezeichnet ist. Das Personal war ebenfalls freundlich, und die Servicequalität verdient 5 Sterne.

Wir wollten gestern unseren freien Abend im El Gaucho verbringen um uns von unserem eigenem Alltag in der Gastronomie zu erholen. Und was soll ich sagen - es war so wie wir es erhofft haben - und sogar noch besser. Eine tolle Weinempfehlung vom Manager - ein österreichischer Chardonnay der nicht in der Karte stand. Ein cut, den wir noch nicht kannten und uns vollends überzeugt hat. Vom Empfangen bis zum Bezahlen waren wir stets gut bedient. Und das, obwohl das Lokal komplett voll war. Chapeau - wir kommen wieder!

Unfreundlich - man fühlt sich einfach nicht willkommen und Service ist auch sehr langsam. Essen unterdurchschnittlich. Es gibt eindeutig bessere Restaurants in München.

Ausgezeichnetes Fleisch. Zuvorkommende Kellner. Hochwertige Weine. Sehr empfehlenswert. Entspricht dem türkischen Gaumen.

Unschlagbares Mittagsmenü mit sehr guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Fleisch war sehr gut, lediglich Reis empfand ich als zu trocken. Getränke wurden schön angerichtet und haben gut geschmeckt. Kellner war aufmerksam, aber nicht zu aufdringlich. Toilette ist vorhanden und war sauber ( leider aber nur im Keller durch Treppe erreichbar)

Für Steakliebhaber in München ist das El Gaucho am Viktualienmarkt eine erstklassige Adresse. Wir genossen ein fantastisches Buffet, dessen Fleischqualität und Zubereitung wirklich herausragend waren. Die Highlights: Die Fleischstücke: Wir probierten das 20 Tage gereifte Ribeye und das Hanger Steak. Beide waren perfekt zubereitet. Das Ribeye hatte ein intensives, volles Aroma, während das Hanger unglaublich zart und saftig war. Das Highlight: Das Ribeye wurde mit einer köstlichen Kräuter-Knoblauch-Buttersauce serviert. Sie war reichhaltig, duftend und verschmolz wunderbar mit dem angebratenen Fleisch – zweifellos das Highlight des Essens. Die Beilagen: Das gegrillte Gemüse (Mais, Paprika, Zucchini) war knackig und hatte eine tolle Kruste. Die Pommes waren goldbraun und knusprig, und der Caesar Salad war exzellent, garniert mit großzügigen, hochwertigen Parmesanspänen. Die Getränke: Der Whiskey Sour war perfekt ausbalanciert mit einem samtigen Schaum – ein hervorragender Auftakt zum Abendessen. Der Service war professionell und die Atmosphäre lebhaft. Ob Sie nun ein klassisches, gereiftes Ribeye-Steak oder ein besonderes Zuschnitt bevorzugen, hier liegen Sie immer richtig. Hervorragend!

Billige Qualität, typische Touristenfalle Das Fleisch war bestenfalls mittelmäßig. Es war zäh und nicht zart. Die Beilagen waren okay, aber der Nachtisch war ungenießbar. Ein billiger Supermarkt-Nachtisch. Kurz gesagt: Die Qualität rechtfertigt den Preis überhaupt nicht. Hoffe, das hilft.

Wunderschöner Abend, es gab sogar einen kostenlosen Geburtstagskuchen, Service war Top und Essen auch sehr lecker.

fantastic steak and truffle gnocchi with herb and butter sauce

We paid 250 Euros, but it was the best meat I've ever had. I don't know if it was worth it… I pay 250 Euros. I don't know if it's okay? Update: We ate the same meat elsewhere for half the price… they rip us off.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The man at the bar, Nico, was incredibly friendly and kept us entertained all evening. I don't drink alcohol, and he made us some delicious cocktails. Not everyone does that :) Thank you so much!

Excellent experience. The meat is delicious and of high quality, with perfectly executed cooking. The welcome is warm and attentive, contributing to a very pleasant atmosphere. A great ambiance throughout the meal. I highly recommend it.

Let's be clear, the star isn't for the food. The quality of the meat in a place like this is always guaranteed. What isn't guaranteed in places like this is seeing cockroaches on the floor. Not small ones, no, but so big they barely fit in the glass I used to pick them up. The waiters, embarrassed, picked them up and threw them out onto the street (although they clearly came from the kitchen area). The most absurd thing of all was that when the bill arrived, after waiting 40 minutes for two seared steaks, the waiter pressured us to pay a "tip," something that isn't mandatory in Germany. The term "Bedienung," which is the service charge, is already included by law in the bill, as is VAT. The thing is, they saw we looked like tourists and thought, well, if we push a little, we might get away with it. Well, we didn't get away with it, and after the lamentable cockroach spectacle and without them having offered us any kindness, I don't see the need to leave a tip. Is it not nice to leave no tip? Yes. But it's also not nice to take the bill, look at it with disdain, and say, "No tip?" To slam the tab and angrily tell us, "Happy holidays!" Then I'll send you the health insurance bill.

It's a very nice place, I liked it. However, the beef tenderloin had too much gristle. And when we asked for well-done, they misunderstood our request; it came out burnt. In short, we ate a tasty piece of meat that wasn't cooked properly.

The food was good and we also liked the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the positive impression was severely marred by the service. After our meal, we weren't asked about drinks for over an hour. When we brought this up, the waiter even started arguing instead of addressing our criticism professionally. It's a real shame, because with better service, the visit would have been much more enjoyable. I think the waiter's behavior doesn't reflect the standards of this restaurant.

I don't like my steak rare, but even medium was quite bloody, which was a shame. I mentioned it, but there was no complimentary espresso or anything like that.

We went to El Gaucho at the Viktualienmarkt for lunch today and tried their new business lunch menu for €19. The combination of starter, main course, and dessert was a really pleasant surprise. We started with a creamy pumpkin soup, which was perfectly seasoned – just the right amount of spice, not too heavy. For the main course, we had a rib-eye steak on a skewer with roasted potatoes. The meat was cooked to perfection, beautifully juicy and flavorful, accompanied by crispy roasted potatoes – truly excellent. To finish, we had a pumpkin tart, which was surprisingly light yet packed with flavor. The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The atmosphere is modern, cozy, and just so well-rounded – you immediately feel at ease. All in all, very good value for money and definitely a recommendation for a high-quality lunch right in the city center. We'll definitely be back.

There were seven of us at this restaurant. The meat was cooked incorrectly and many of ours still had tendons in it. The service left much to be desired. Even at the entrance, there was no friendly welcome.

Finding a good quality restaurant in Munich is very difficult or hard to find. The meat is high quality and the dishes are beautifully presented. Not recommended for families with children. The music is too loud to enjoy a quiet meal.

Fantastic food, disastrous timing and table concept The food was undoubtedly excellent – ​​absolutely top-notch in terms of taste, and the atmosphere was great too. The waiters were friendly and attentive; I would give them 5 stars for that alone. But the business concept ruined the entire evening. The tables are far too small, so there's hardly enough room for all the courses, drinks, and side dishes at once. At the same time, you only have a fixed two-hour time slot. If the service takes 30 minutes just to take your order, you effectively have an hour and a half to eat three courses for around €750. And then you're simply ushered out without any consideration. Even after asking, there was no leniency, no extension – nothing. You can clearly tell that turnover is more important here than customer satisfaction. It feels like a system: in, out, as long as it's revenue. Sustainable thinking? Wanting guests to want to come back? Nowhere to be found. Sustainable thinking? Wanting guests to return? So lovely! We celebrated my son's 17th birthday there. The food was absolutely perfect. The meat was cooked to perfection. The meat quality was sensational. Elias was our waiter, simply lovely – just what you'd expect.

Excellent steaks and wine, polite staff and plenty of time

We had another very pleasant evening at "El Gaucho" – we were served very warmly by Elias in the side room and treated to a very smooth, dry Rioja, the usual excellent meat (everyone was very satisfied), and a few sweet desserts. I would come back anytime and have been several times already. The meat is truly excellent, especially the filet steak – you can never get enough. Add to that a sophisticated yet unpretentious atmosphere, without any pretentious airs or forced rustic charm. Reservations are highly recommended!

Located right in the city center, just 5 minutes from the nearest parking garage, Rieger City, the restaurant is tastefully decorated in a compact yet cozy space. There's plenty of comfortable seating. Outside, there's even a comfortable table with an ashtray, bar stools, and a patio heater for those waiting or smoking. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our table. The menus were beautifully bound. The service was friendly and helpful. The dishes were lovingly presented; I especially recommend the starter soup with mushrooms and truffle ravioli, and the steak tartare. My wife had a ribeye as her main course, which was excellent and had the expected smoky crust. I tried a dry-aged ribeye, which was very tasty, but less dark on the outside than my wife's and therefore a bit bland. Next time, I'll order the regular ribeye. The side dishes of pimientos, sweet potato purée, and spinach with Swiss chard were delicious and not over-seasoned. ... Aside from the somewhat bland searing of my dry-aged steak, I was very impressed with the overall experience and would gladly return. I found the prices reasonable. The exceptionally friendly staff deserves special mention!

For a restaurant in this price range, and one that claims to be exclusive, our visit was unfortunately very disappointing. The service left much to be desired: The waiter seemed unpleasant, unmotivated, and stern. His tone was rather arrogant and unfriendly, and a smile was nowhere to be seen. The presentation of the food also fell short of expectations. It was plain and unappealing – a hot stone or some other presentation would have been appropriate. We ordered one dish "medium rare" and one "medium," but both were served "medium." Especially in a meat restaurant, one expects precision. We were particularly shocked on our way to the restroom: A table had been placed directly in front of the stairs. Guests at this table were sitting extremely close to the toilet, and every visitor had to walk right past them. Because of the proximity to the stairs, the passage was also very narrow – unpleasant and completely unacceptable. Luckily, we weren't assigned this table; otherwise, we probably would have left immediately. How can a restaurant with such high standards treat its guests with such a lack of care and respect, just to fit in an extra table? Overall, we were very negatively surprised and disappointed. We will not be visiting this restaurant again.

If you enjoy steak, this is a good place to go. However, it's definitely not for those on a tight budget.

The perfect place to go out for dinner with your girlfriends. It's also highly recommended for a date. The food was very fresh; from our table, we could see the kitchen where the staff cooked with great care, hygiene, and attention to detail. A big thank you and much praise to Elias and his colleague, who served us attentively and helped us choose our meals.

El Gaucho in Munich offers outstanding steak quality in a great atmosphere, but our evening was made truly unforgettable by the phenomenal service from our waiter Srdjan, who looked after us professionally and warmly. We wholeheartedly recommend this steakhouse and will definitely be back to enjoy the perfect combination of first-class food and top-notch service!

Waited a very long time, meat was quite tough, the smashburgers weren't smashburgers at all :) The pimientos were inedible, greasy, and poor quality. The waiters were very nice. We won't be back.

Five stars! A truly excellent restaurant in the heart of Munich. The food is delicious. The waiters are also friendly and give great recommendations…

We were at the restaurant on Saturday evening, and although it was full, we were warmly greeted by the receptionist and our waiter. We had a wonderful steak tartare followed by a tira de ancho, which the waiter recommended (because we both wanted ribeye). The meat was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented on a wooden board. The recommended Austrian red wine was a perfect complement. The service was incredibly attentive and always cheerful, even though new guests were constantly arriving and they were clearly very busy. A truly lovely evening, and we will definitely be back!

The food was excellent, especially the steaks, which were cooked to perfection and of the highest quality. The drinks were also superb, and the house champagne is a real highlight – fruity, sparkling, and perfectly chilled. All in all, a fantastic experience; I will definitely be back!

We were a group of eight at the restaurant and were unfortunately disappointed across the board. The waiter was very unfriendly and rushed from the start. We even had to wait an unusually long time for the menus. When we didn't order wine, the waiter reacted with obvious incomprehension. Throughout the entire evening, the waiters argued loudly amongst themselves in a foreign language – very unprofessional and disruptive. Some of the food arrived incorrectly; the steak was "okay" at best, but far from a top-quality steak. The burger was alright, but nothing special. What was particularly annoying was that we weren't allowed to pay separately, even though there were eight of us. Only one bill was accepted, with the explanation that we should sort it out amongst ourselves. When we then tried to split the bill together at the table, the waiter was visibly irritated and became even more unfriendly. The final straw: The bill included approximately €50 worth of food that we hadn't ordered and hadn't eaten. After we inquired, we received only unintelligible mumbling, then the amount was corrected without comment. Even when paying – we left a small tip – there was no "thank you," no "goodbye," no apology. Just an annoyed departure. Conclusion: Poor service, unfriendly staff, incorrect billing – we certainly won't be back.

The meat was very good; I tried the ribeye and it was delicious. The wine was excellent, and the desserts were thoughtful and well-prepared. The only downside was the slightly high prices.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing visit. The staff was consistently unfriendly and didn't exchange a single friendly word upon arrival or departure – not even a simple "goodbye." Furthermore, we were brought the wrong food, and the bill included approximately €50 for dishes we hadn't ordered. After pointing this out, there was no apology or attempt to resolve the situation amicably. It's a shame, because the ambiance actually has potential – but with such treatment of guests and so many service errors, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant. Hopefully, management will take this criticism to heart and provide staff with training in customer service and accurate billing practices.

Having eaten here many times and always enjoyed it, we, as long-time customers, can only say good things. It's a thoughtfully run family business with excellent management and a grill master who has consistently delivered top-notch quality for years. Many thanks to the whole team for the many wonderful evenings we've shared here!

I ordered a burger without bacon due to allergies (all burgers come with bacon as standard). Apparently, the waiter forgot to inform the cook. I overheard them arguing about it before the head waiter told him, "Nobody saw it," and they simply removed the bacon after it was already in the burger. Completely unprofessional behavior.
