The food was super delicious! We have never eaten such a juicy rump steak. The owner is very nice and took good care of all the guests and talked to everyone every now and then, even though it was busy. Everything was great, we'll be back :)
We went there spontaneously for dinner.
Very friendly and attentive service. The food was good and at the table in a reasonable time. The salad bar offers a selection of fresh salads. Despite the large number of guests, the noise level was kept to a minimum.
I would describe the prices as normal.

It's very cool to fry the meat yourself on a hot stone. You definitely have to try this experience. Beef fillet was excellently marinated and was very tender and tasty. Red wine sauce with pepper was also very tasty and went perfectly with the meat. The deduction points were for fries - they were not made from fresh potatoes, but from frozen ones. I wanted to order fried potatoes, but these were not fresh potatoes, but pre-cooked ones. Then I ordered the baked potato but specifically asked for the potatoes to be cooked through, it looks like it was pre-made and then reheated 🙈 but not enough, wasn't cooked through and cold in the middle. But it wasn't included in the bill 👍 In my opinion, it would have been nice if, for example, a plate had been given to put aside the fried meat and bread, which would mean another point deduction. And finally, the room smelled of smoke even though we sat far from the door as there was a terrace nearby where you could smoke. It really bothers me when I eat. So one point is lost. Otherwise, life is wonderful 👍
Unfortunately, I can't quite understand the very good reviews. Yes, it's a nice atmosphere, but it's also very overgrown and nothing has been done about it for a long time. The saloon was ok, quaint and a bit musty or as some describe it, smoky. As a non-smoker it's not my thing but you have to get involved (not a negative point). The food was ok, but if you want medium, you should order medium rare. My steak was completely cooked through, the thicker part was nice and soft but still cooked through, no juice came out, but it was ok in terms of taste and price. The beans or the chilli sin carne (without meat) was very spicy, my girlfriend couldn't eat it. Maybe it should be mentioned on the homepage. But I had completely different expectations of the western city. There is a lot of potential in the concept but I suspect it is only used to make a living. I immediately had dozens of ideas. Conclusion: everyone was very nice and the food was ok.
We were scheduled to stay at the hotel at very short notice, but that wasn't a problem either. My sister had booked. She was in an apartment with two small children, I was in a single room. The single room was nice, although a bit older.

The stay was good overall, we also went to the restaurant, which is highly recommended. A reservation is expressly recommended for this.
The burger was really unusual but very, very tasty, and the breakfast the next morning left little to be desired, all the employees (even though it was Christmas 🎄) were extremely friendly and professional.
Even when we had to go back to the hotel to get the children's lunch boxes that had been left in the fridge, we were greeted with a beaming smile at reception. Thank you again for the two wonderful days, greetings from the Schmid family and Mrs. Benneker.

The meat quality was excellent, the service was attentive, and the decor was a bit dated. All in all, a very nice dinner. The steaks were very tasty.
The steaks were served on very hot plates. Almost the best steak I've had in a long time.
