Ursprünglich hatten wir ein anderes Restaurant im Sinn, doch da alles ausgebucht war, entschieden wir uns für „Zur Ofenplatt‘n“. Im Nachhinein können wir nur sagen: Zum Glück! Das Restaurant überzeugt durch seine stilvolle Einrichtung und eine angenehme, einladende Atmosphäre. Das Essen war nicht nur ausgesprochen lecker, sondern auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmte vollkommen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der exzellente Service: Schon beim Betreten wurden wir herzlich begrüßt und man nahm uns direkt die Jacken ab. Die Dame brachte uns zu unserem Tisch, stellte neben der Speisekarte noch besondere Gerichte vor und blieb den gesamten Abend über stets ansprechbar, freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir mussten weder lange auf unsere Getränke noch auf das Essen warten, was den Abend perfekt abrundete. So macht Essen gehen richtig Spaß! Wir kommen definitiv wieder und können „Zur Ofenplatt‘n“ wärmstens empfehlen.

Registration by telephone is probably necessary for eating on site. The last few hundred meters of the journey is easy on a gravel road with no major potholes. The parking spaces are located directly in front of the premises. After reporting to the saloon, when you paid you received dollar vouchers for the man at the grill. The selection is limited to beef or pork steak with beans and rolls… but you already know that when you come here. 😉 The saloon inside is quaint. But you can also sit outside under umbrellas. The crew is great too. A thing in itself! Grilling starts at 7:30 p.m. and food is served at the grill around 8 p.m. Large beef steak (medium to well done), well fried. Everything very strongly seasoned. Both steak and the beans. This spiciness is not for everyone. “That’s just how cowboys eat,” we were then told. 😉 The price for so much meat in this special atmosphere is absolutely right. Personally, I don't need the strong seasoning, but it's a matter of taste.

We were there 3 years ago and again yesterday. Since yesterday it has been my favorite restaurant & we will always visit it on our anniversary. The food was a dream from start to finish.. the best scallops I've ever had, the steak was an absolute dream, half a lobster claw was simply mindblowing. And the cookie 🤤 on top of that, the staff is phenomenal. Incredibly friendly and attentive. People listened carefully and advised. We felt very, very comfortable - our impression from 3 years ago has been more than confirmed and we recommend it to everyone!
