An outstanding place to enjoy steaks. Highest meat quality and taste. Since the meat is served on the hot stone, you can grill it to suit your own taste. The ambience is fantastic. Located in a historic building, the interior is furnished accordingly. You usually sit upstairs, the wine cellar is available for events.
Unfortunately, it's very difficult to get a seat there - you definitely have to make a reservation and it's best to be there at 5:30 p.m. when it opens, as the kitchen closes at 8:00 p.m.
Very nice atmosphere, very personal service. Unacceptable food. (Salad with canned tuna and salad with leftover fillet (instead of fillet strips). The whole thing was carelessly squashed into a small bowl that was barely edible. I can get better (and cheaper) at any pizzeria. I'll forgo further visits. This place definitely deserves a chef who has some semblance of mastery of his craft.
We were in Meridian for the first time today and everything was great. The food is delicious, the service is very friendly and the atmosphere is really appealing. Can only be recommended.
We just wanted a drink on Boxing Day and asked if we could sit at the bar.
Unfortunately we were denied this because we were told that this was only possible in conjunction with food.
Well, then not
We had a very nice evening with delicious food. If there's anything to complain about, it's the beer. I'm a Stauder drinker. All other beers stink compared to it. But the food and the service (the good guy does everything himself) were all really good. The other dishes we saw also looked great.
The restaurant has a rather rustic design. I don't understand the negative posts. I find it questionable to only give it 3 stars just because it's not a chic, swanky temple. Everything was clean, which I consider more important. We'll definitely go there more often.
