Our evening at Gaucho was a disappointment. Glasses and dishes had clearly visible limescale deposits. When we inquired, the server explained that the dishwasher was broken. The salt and pepper shakers were also visibly dirty and did not meet my hygiene standards for a restaurant. Some of the meat was extremely tough. These issues were raised both during our visit and afterwards via email. We have yet to receive a response. For a restaurant in this price range, this is completely unacceptable. Fortunately, there are good alternatives to Gaucho in Paderborn.

Unfortunately, there's no room for singles. Maybe for an hour. The restaurant was empty, but after the hour was sold out... Therefore, despite the undoubtedly good food, I can only give it one star.

It was our first time at Gaucho and everything was perfect. We eat steak very often, and I have to say Gaucho really impressed me today. The service, the ambiance (like an elegant, cozy living room), the food – a dream! We've already recommended it to several friends after just one day, and we'll definitely be back soon!

A charming little family-run restaurant. We were there on Tuesday evening around 8 pm, and almost all the tables were full. The food was delicious. Excellent value for money. And the service was quick and professional. I would gladly go again and highly recommend it.

Simply delicious and top service

For starters, we had the goat cheese, which I personally felt had too much honey on it. The lamb's lettuce was drenched in honey. The beef fillet was cooked to perfection (medium). EXCELLENT! The meat was very juicy, warm, tender, and not dry. The crème brûlée to finish was perfect. The service lacked salt and pepper. And as the place got busier later on, we felt somewhat forgotten/neglected. Something I wouldn't have expected from such an upscale restaurant. Besides, I had announced months in advance that we were celebrating a birthday that day. I was already told that there would be no decorations from the restaurant. Okay, no problem. But unfortunately, this information went completely unnoticed, and the host wasn't even congratulated.

Very good food and an all-around successful evening. My fillet steak (medium rare) was cooked to perfection, tender, and flavorful—you can hardly prepare a steak better. The side dishes were also truly delicious, especially the baked potato with plenty of sour cream and the leaf spinach. The burgers and schnitzel were also very popular. The service was fast and very friendly—we'd be happy to come back 🙂

Delicious Steak We went to Gaucho in Paderborn this weekend. The food was truly delicious, especially the rump steak! A little tip: If you prefer medium, you should order a higher doneness – then it'll be perfect. Portion size? 300g of steak sounds like a lot, but if you really want to fill yourself up, you should order two sides plus a salad or vegetables. And yes, you'll notice it on the bill – so don't come with an empty wallet. 😉 I'd advise against the burger – what I saw at my friends' was more reminiscent of fast food with table service. And be careful with the restroom: It's very narrow! For heavy steak fans, this visit could be a challenge. 😅

These were complemented by sophisticated side dishes: potato gratin, corn on the cob, crispy grilled vegetables, and homemade fries. The service was outstanding, attentive, competent, and with a keen sense of timing and hospitality.

We went for lunch because my husband turned 30. We hadn't been there for many years, but went to a competitor. Back then, they included a small dessert with the lunch menu, but that seems to have been discontinued. Perhaps they could consider offering it again. Overall, we really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed all the food. We had no complaints, and the prices were reasonable. Nice atmosphere. Also recommended with a baby. When I asked if the steak could be reheated, the answer was immediately yes, no problem. (Since I couldn't eat until later due to the baby.)

Wunderbare Garnelen zur Vorspeise und dann ein argentinisches Rinderfiletsteak, das einem im Mund zerging, perfekt gegart und mit einem hervorragenden Kartoffelgratin gereicht. Auch das Dessert, eine Crème Brulée, hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Der Service war flink und aufmerksam. Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Abend in sehr angenehmen Ambiente. Sehr empfehlenswert!!

Until last year, the high prices were absolutely justified as the quality was excellent - fresh mushrooms, tender meat, cooked to perfection. But now there are only canned mushrooms left, and the flesh was tough and burnt. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is no longer right. It's a shame because we always enjoyed being here. Hopefully the previous quality will return.

Probably best steaks in PB. Price is ok but on the expensive side. Service has always been perfect and is in keeping with the elegant ambience. The only thing that's a little out of the ordinary is the presentation. Meat is always left alone on a white plate. The supplements come separately. There are certainly reasons for efficiency, but I think it would be nicer if I got a beautifully presented plate. But I always enjoy eating here.

We celebrated a birthday with 7 people at Gaucho. The table was booked for 6 p.m. The food is delicious, no question. The atmosphere is nice, but very loud and hectic. At 8:50 p.m. we were kindly asked if we could pay the bill to make room for other guests... This “expulsion” is perhaps economically understandable for the restaurateur, but we were very surprised and expect that more tact should be shown here.

I was here for the first time in November 2024 and had the fillet steak with potato gratin. Both were very tasty and tasted good. The service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant is modern, has a nice atmosphere and even the paper towels on the toilet have the logo - successful branding ;) I was completely satisfied!

Now I have to hit the table. I went there based on a recommendation from my colleague! I ordered a steak with salad and lo and behold, it came quite quickly. Thanks for that! But now let's get to the point of steak. It was too raw for me, I told the service that I would like it to be a little more cooked. But that didn't work. Afterwards the food went back with the request for a little more. This attempt also failed. Then the third round came and lo and behold: it was completely charred. I called the waiter and he said: Don't act like that now! That's an impertinence, I have to say it. Then people roll their eyes and say sayings. I let the food go back and the people from the kitchen made me a new steak. On the 4th attempt it was good this time. It was a little too greasy, but yeah, I didn't want to mess around like that!!! In hindsight I should have done that instead, because the diarrhea that night was a laughing matter! Thanks Gaucho for nothing!!! I don't recommend it!!!

Meine Freundin hatte einen Burger zum Mittag. Später sagte sie... hätte doch lieber Fleisch genommen. Bei der Platzwahl wurden wir hin und her gerissen. Erst schickte man uns ans Fenster hinten links. Dann wurde uns gesagt, dass dieser Platz ab 13.00 reserviert wäre.... Wir durften bleiben waren aber ein wenig im Stress. Essen kam schnell. Mein Spiess war verdammt gut. Der Burger meiner Freundin war leider recht trocken . Hatte ihn auch probiert und musste das ebenso feststellen. Preislich völlig ok. Lage super. Die blonde Kellnerin hätte ein wenig netter sein können.... Aber easy alles ok:-)
