Flames Burger & Steakhouse in Euskirchen

Ask for the receipt! We love coming here. The food is incredibly delicious, the service is courteous and fast, and we also like the ambiance. However, we've also noticed that at the end, you don't get a receipt for the food consumed and the total price, but only the debit card receipt. Yesterday, as an exception, we took our receipt with us and then, on the way to the car, we noticed while looking at it that we'd been charged for a drink we didn't order and didn't get. According to some other reviews here (and also an experience from two friends), this seems to happen quite often, and I don't like it. We love coming here, and the €4 for a drink really doesn't matter to me, but the fact that they're now somehow suspicious (especially after reading similar reviews) is ridiculous. I don't think the €4 is worth losing customers who come here often and enjoy it. We didn't feel like running back for €4 either. I'd like it if the receipt were issued as standard. Then you'd no longer have that feeling of "have I been charged for something I didn't even have?" Of course, it could always have been an oversight. But since it seems to happen more often, we weren't so amused by it...

One of the best of its kind. If you want to eat a top burger, you've come to the right place! I ate the “Burger Egg” and immediately ordered another one. Food came super quickly. Important : You should expect to pay at least €30 per person. Equivalent to 1 upscale burger with fries and 2 regular drinks.

A nice restaurant in the city center. Without a table reservation it is very difficult to get a table there. Very tasty food. Not only burgers, but also cocktails invite you. All in all, it is a successful overall package. The noise level is already increased due to the full tables.

We go to Flames regularly because everything is perfect in this restaurant. Starting with the ambience, the always super nice staff and the food. Everything perfect. The extremely friendly staff serve you quickly, and special requests are also accommodated. The large selection of burgers, sauces, and salads is incredible. The value for money is also excellent. Absolutely delicious food, the burger recipes were very unusual but very tasty, so highly recommended if you want to try something different. Unfortunately the quality of the food wasn't that special, not really bad, but not really good either. The side dish portion of fries was quite small (but there was more than enough sauce with it). We had reserved and still had to wait a quarter of an hour for a table (but we were there on a Sunday evening at 6 p.m.). So from my point of view you can't go wrong with a visit here, but given the average rating here on Google I would have expected a little more.

Unfortunately we were not able to eat. We waited 45 minutes for a table that was actually supposed to take 10 minutes. When I wanted to pay the bill for the drinks, there was suddenly a table. This service is not nice.

Was there for the second time today. I have to say everything was great again. The attentiveness of the service staff was simply great (open ears and helpful tips when ordering food and drinks) My companion was helped immediately and given a glass of water when she choked. Friendly on the phone, warm welcome, clean shop, the best/cleanest toilets I've ever seen in a restaurant of this class, huge selection, and and and... here you feel valued as a guest and in the end you feel full! :-) We'd love to come back from Bonn! Keep it up! ....and by far the best thing is the chocolate cake for dessert. CRAZINESS!

Were there at lunchtime. Reservation was not necessary. Food was super tasty, had the burger egg' stara. Truffle burger is supposed to be good too. The only drawback is that the burger bread could be a little better. Chili cheese fries, absolute recommendation. Drinks arrived within 2 minutes. Gladly again

Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Vielfalt der Speisekarte, die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Die Zubereitung der Gerichte ist top, und auch die Cocktails sind ein Genuss. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt und einladend, was das Essen zu einem rundum gelungenen Erlebnis macht. Ich komme definitiv wieder – ein absolut empfehlenswerter Ort für alle, die gutes Essen und einen tollen Service schätzen!

Since I've heard from a few people that the Flame is really good, we were there today. I'll keep it short and sweet. The food was very standard, the aioli and the bread for the starter were nothing special, toasted baguette. Main course burger, meat not seasoned and bland in taste. A nice idea to add garlic and greens to the fries, but unfortunately they were completely oily. Steak was good in terms of meat quality and degree of doneness. Unfortunately it wasn't seasoned and had a rather bland taste. The final price is even spicier... My conclusion for NRW and in particular the Eifel/Voreifel is that it continues to be a “culinary developing country”. There are some bright spots like Salsa or Stern Imbiss, which offer reasonable quality. Good German cuisine can be completely forgotten in the region.

The seats for 2 to 6 people were only available at the entrance door and the toilet door. Very annoying because guests are constantly coming in and out. This then had to be served next to our table. My lady's "Italian burger" was ok. Not my “chili cheese”. No sauce. The meat was dry - not medium rare as advertised. The service was very good. Big praise. 60€ for 2 people (burger and drinks) is a lot. The prices for a steak are dizzying. We don't go here anymore.

Even though we didn't have a reservation and were there on the weekend during the Christmas party period, we got a place for 4 people. As soon as we were at the place, the children said, "They're nice here." I can't give a better compliment. Portions were generous and tasted great.

At the beginning of the business it was absolutely top class in the burger sector. I now find the burgers to be average. And the side dishes are expensive. No reason to go there anymore. A lot of staff were deployed that evening plus the bosses. Suddenly it was time to settle accounts and no one cared about the few guests. Forgot order. The interior design has remained from the old days and is beautiful, the rest is not. And then tipping is mentioned. I saved myself.

We were eating at Flames, had booked a table in advance (that makes sense), the food is good, the service is friendly, now we wanted to redeem a voucher that we had received as a gift three years ago... Unfortunately, this was no longer accepted because he was out of the system? First it was said that it was bought before 2020... then when asked again, it should have been bought before December 2021... and therefore will not be redeemed... No goodwill is shown at all... the 50 euro donation will be I took it but... there isn't even a coffee or a drink on the house? Hospitality looks different in my eyes. The managing director just said that you had enough time to redeem the voucher... that's true, but... I won't buy any vouchers here. Everyone is welcome to decide for themselves whether they want to show goodwill in the store if something doesn't work out to their satisfaction.

Insbesondere mit einem Kellner habe ich jetzt schon zwei Mal schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht, jedes Mal stimmte die Rechnung nicht. Natürlich zu Gunsten des Kellners. Alleine aus diesem Grund kann ich das Lokal nicht empfehlen! Betonen möchte ich allerdings der Burger war Top!

I recently celebrated my anniversary with my girlfriend and it was a completely perfect evening! The drink selection was first class and the food exceeded all of our expectations. The fries in particular were to die for – I can say with certainty that I have rarely had fries this good. The service was equally outstanding; the staff were attentive and friendly, which made the experience even more pleasant. We will definitely come back to enjoy this wonderful atmosphere and delicious food again. It was an unforgettable evening that perfectly celebrated our time together!

Far too expensive and the veggie burger or patty could be improved - it was soaked in fat. The burger was average at best, if anything. For this price it's not worth it.

We have already been to various community stores in North Rhine-Westphalia. But I have to say that Flames consistently offers the best quality by far. I'm happy to be there as a guest. Can only recommend it to everyone.

The food and service were excellent. I can definitely recommend the chili cheese fries and the coleslaw. The staff was very quick, friendly and took an interest in us as guests (e.g. asking whether we were satisfied, whether it tasted good, etc.), which you don't find everywhere. The only small criticism was that it was relatively loud and a bit cramped. But that again shows that the restaurant is popular and well attended. 😉

This small, inconspicuous restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and, above all, very friendly staff. The burgers are definitely recommended, as are the dips, which you can also order. The baguette starter with homemade garlic aioli dip was also very tasty. The price-performance ratio is absolutely top for us. We can only recommend it and will definitely come back again. The burgers tasted very good. The only major drawback about this restaurant is that it is way too crowded. The tables are too narrow and in the middle you are sat at a bench with strangers. We would like to come more often but unfortunately it will be very uncomfortable for us.

On the occasion of a visit to the Therme Euskirchen and an overnight stay at the Welcome Hotel Euskirchen, we went to Flame Essen on Saturday evening. All we can say is that the Restsurant does what it promises. Super fast and extremely friendly service combined with delicious, excellent food. The price is completely justified for what you get. Disastrous service, the food we ordered came after about 8 minutes (spare ribs! & baked potato with spinach) Spare ribs were only lukewarm. The baked potato had nothing to do with a baked potato, it was more of a casserole. We spoke to the waitress, who then ignored us and we couldn't order anything new from her. Service is different! After we made it clear to the waitress that she delivered poor technical service and that we couldn't order anything else in terms of food and drinks, did she ask us for a tip at the end, seriously?? I've never done it with my guests in the restaurant, nor have I ever experienced it myself. Dear owner, I am a restaurateur myself in the largest restaurant in North Rhine-Westphalia. Either you take care of your employees or your restaurant will die because of such staff. We had to change restaurants so that my wife could get something “decent”.

We've been twice and the place really deserves it: excellent service with very kind and friendly waitresses. Nice and original atmosphere! Excellent cuisine too, we had hamburgers and chicken salad both times because they were really good quality. Not in this country. The burger was very tasty. It's understandable that the side dishes cost extra, but given the price of €7.50 for sweet potatoes, I would expect a slightly larger portion. What I can't understand, however, is that my burger costs twice as much and a simple side dish also costs €7.50. The staff was friendly and asked if everything was OK or if you would like something more to drink, which is positive in itself. Nevertheless, I find it a bit unpleasant that you are asked immediately after you have finished drinking if you would like another drink, or that your plate is cleared away immediately after the last bite. I felt a bit under pressure. As a restaurateur myself, I perhaps have somewhat higher expectations.

Burgers are really tasty, the garlic fries are good too. However, I find the portions of the side dishes and especially the desserts to be significantly too small for the quite high prices. For €9 I would have expected more for dessert than a small piece of muffin with a small scoop of ready-made ice cream next to it. The portion of fries with the burger was also really tight. The extra sauce prices (Jägersauce 5€!) also drive up the bill...

Delicious onion rings with BBQ sauce as a starter and then the bacon burger (with extra goat cheese) and additional sweet potato fries and sour cream - and that was a big portion. The bacon was a bit very crispy, but other than that it was really tasty! The waiter was just great, an absolute highlight. I celebrated. The rest of the employees were okay. Price including 1 bottle of Fritz Kola €38 - not cheap but absolutely justified.

Very tasty food and nice staff, BUT let us give you the entertainment bill. First, about the restaurant itself. You are always welcomed warmly, the food is always delicious, no matter what you order. My favorites for years have been the chili cheese fries and the king size (chili cheese burger). My family and I have enjoyed eating there for years. I personally find the atmosphere very cozy. Unfortunately, outside you have Euskirchen in front of you. We recently had dinner there again and what I noticed this time really upset me and is the reason for my "only" three stars. Me and my girlfriend were happy and satisfied with the food again and wanted to pay and we realized that it was around €80, we hadn't done the math exactly. So we asked the waiter if we could pay and if I could also give a tip by card, which was answered in the affirmative. I was then quoted a price of €83.60. Of course I assumed that this didn't include a tip and I trusted the waiter, so I told him to make €87. Afterwards I thought to myself that I hadn't even given 10%, which I usually do. But now comes the kicker. By default you will only be given the EC receipt. Since I have a benefit from my work to convert my wages, I asked for the entertainment invoice. This then came nicely folded and tacked shut. When I scanned the receipt the next day, I noticed the following: Our bill only amounted to €79.40, so they told me €4.20 more than it actually cost. So I had unconsciously paid almost my 10% tip. Since this is the first time I've noticed this, I can only assume that a waiter is systematically filling his pockets. Despite all the niceness, it is an absolute no-go to abuse the trust of customers in order to fill your own pockets. Something like this would never have occurred to me when I worked as a waiter, as it is also damaging to the restaurant's reputation. I don't want to cost anyone their job, so I won't mention the name that's on the invoice, but the fact is I'll keep an eye on it in the future and if it happens again I'll complain on site, so it's best to go to the owner here raise awareness! I advise future visitors to calculate the price themselves beforehand or to get the entertainment invoice. The food is still great!
