We arrived at the restaurant without a reservation and luckily got a table. The service was extremely friendly!!! The selection of food was great and the food was truly delicious. It's a shame that you can only get there by car from Ahlen.

We were there yesterday with nine people. The food was incredibly good and arrived very quickly. The staff was also very flexible, as I had misread the time for my online reservation. The restaurant was almost fully booked, but they managed to keep us there at the time we arrived, even though our reservation was for later :) Many thanks to the team :) We'll be happy to come back and read the reservation confirmation more carefully next time :)

Mega food and super friendly service

I used to really enjoy going there, but on my last two visits the quality of the food has declined significantly and the taste was no longer convincing either.

A worthwhile restaurant serving Balkan cuisine and a special menu featuring high-quality, hand-cured steaks.

Although the restaurant was quiet and there were only three waiters around, it took a long time for someone to come and take our order. It took even longer for the food to arrive at the table. It felt like the beef had yet to be caught. The salad buffet consisted entirely of canned vegetables, except for tomatoes and cucumbers. The steak wasn't even asked how we wanted it cooked. It was our first and last time there.

Very disappointing. The steak was tough and barely edible, and the side dish was completely unseasoned. A complete waste of money. I'll never come back here.

We've rarely enjoyed such a "tidy" (in a positive way) meat dish (grilled plate). The portion was relatively large. Fries were served in a separate bowl. For a hotel restaurant, I consider the dishes to be reasonably priced. We were also pleasantly surprised by the quality.

We actually eat there quite often, and it's always a highlight. The ambiance is truly first-class. The food is also top-quality and super delicious; I've never been disappointed. Service can be a bit slow at times, especially if you want to order something after dinner. But overall, it's a top-notch place; I highly recommend it. I can't comment on the hotel room yet; I haven't had the pleasure of staying there yet.

During our stay at the campsite, we visited the restaurant. We made a reservation but were allowed to choose our own table. It was very cozy and comfortable, and all the staff were very polite. We ordered a grilled platter and a turkey schnitzel. Everything was very fresh and prepared to perfection; we've rarely had such delicious food. The menu truly offers something for everyone. Vegetarian options are also available. We definitely recommend it and give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

HELBACH 800* was our destination by bike today, despite the midsummer temperatures. And it was worth it again. We even cooled off with a water mist on the beautiful outdoor terrace, very refreshing and pleasant. Thank you! The lunch menu offers a variety of dishes for different tastes, including soup, a fresh salad from the buffet, and dessert. The food was fresh, delicious, and the portions were just right. The staff is very friendly and attentive, without being intrusive :-). The restaurant is noticeably well-run and friendly. It has a very stylish and modern interior. With its direct connection to the A2 Uentrop exit, it's also an ideal location for business meetings, travelers, and vacationers who want a pleasant, quiet, and stylish atmosphere within a short distance while enjoying healthy food. Wow... is all I can say. Very luxuriously appointed. There were 11 of us there. Everyone was extremely satisfied. The food arrived at the same time for everyone. The sauces were a dream for all fans. My husband's steak completely exceeded his expectations. Amazing. The salad buffet was a delicious start with a colorful selection. 🤗 A tip!!!! There is a service button on the tables 😉 that might have been forgotten. Also great for us campers - after setting up, we can relax and enjoy our vacation. The large car park beckons you to drive straight off the motorway and treat yourself to something nice. Friendly, clean, chic and particularly tasty. I visit the Helbach 800 Steakhouse often and can only say that it's a special experience every time! The service is always attentive and friendly, which makes every visit a pleasant experience. The ambiance is inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxing evening. The quality of the food is simply outstanding—the steaks are tender and perfectly prepared. Every bite is a delight, and the side dishes and drink selection are always top-notch! I highly recommend the Helbach 800 Steakhouse and am already looking forward to my next visit!

Great restaurant, delicious food. I've been a customer there for over 20 years, but I've never experienced the way the new employee (waiter) behaves. Tonight, there wasn't a single guest who didn't complain about their service. Luckily, the colleagues served us, otherwise we would have waited more than 40 minutes for a drink. The service itself is great, but the new waiter isn't making our time there enjoyable. Customers were already asking to sit at another table so they could be served by a different waiter. I think that says it all!

We went there for lunch on the way to Bremen. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the price was unbeatable! Highly recommended.

For me, it's only 20 minutes from home. It was super delicious and beautifully presented. We sat outside. It was lovely. We had to wait a bit for the drinks this time. We didn't die of thirst. The little cat robot is cool. The restrooms are also very stylish. We'd be happy to come back.

Easily accessible restaurant in a quiet location despite being close to the A2 motorway. The service is always professional and courteous. The food is consistently impressive – excellent in taste and in pleasantly balanced portions. We come regularly, even with larger groups, and are already looking forward to our next visit. Important: Reservations are highly recommended, especially for groups.

Rooms were not used. We went here for dinner with friends. The restaurant is very large and modernly furnished, but unfortunately also loud when it is full. It's definitely for meat lovers. The food/meat selection is very large. There is also a salad buffet where you can help yourself. The taste of the salads was just average. I had a veal schnitzel, which tasted good, but the fries that came with it were only lukewarm and hard. The service was friendly and attentive. After the meal we were kindly asked to pay as quickly as possible so that the next guests who were already waiting could get a table. It is advisable to reserve.

Restaurant: Nice atmosphere, good service. -Price-performance food is unfortunately not right in this case: Linguine Tartufo for over €30: lukewarm, truffles barely noticeable, fillet tasty but not cut into small pieces, also not filling. Unfortunately, little response was given to a “criticism” expressed via email. This means we don’t become “repeat offenders”. Too bad🥹.

We had already reserved a table for December 26th in April. However, when we arrived on December 26th, we were told quite rudely that there was no free table yet and that we should wait outside. There is also another group in front of us. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not able to handle its booking management. Even when you complain to your boss over the phone, there is no response. All around a dirty Christmas!

I can't say anything about the hotel operation, I didn't stay here. However, it is a great, clean, modern and very comfortably furnished restaurant. The service is excellent and quick. The food is very tasty and especially the large selection of steaks is impressive. There is something for everyone and even the slightly larger steaks shouldn't put you off. A reservation is definitely recommended.

Wir hatten bereits im April eine Reservierung für 8 Personen am 26.12 vorgenommen, da wir uns auf einen schönen Abend in festlicher Atmosphäre gefreut hatten. Leider wurden wir massiv enttäuscht. Als wir pünktlich im Restaurant ankamen, war kein Tisch für uns frei. Uns wurde lediglich gesagt, wir müssten warten, bis ein Platz frei wird – und das, obwohl wir die Reservierung viele Monate im Voraus getätigt hatten. Was uns besonders schockierte, war der Umgang mit der Situation. Es gab weder eine Entschuldigung noch irgendeine Bemühung, uns als Gäste entgegenzukommen. Kein Angebot, uns in der Zwischenzeit mit einem Getränk zu versorgen, keine Erklärung, warum unsere Reservierung nicht berücksichtigt wurde, und vor allem keine Anzeichen von Interesse daran, die Situation zu lösen. Stattdessen fühlten wir uns wie störende Gäste, die mit ihrem Anliegen allein gelassen wurden. Das Restaurant scheint seine Kapazitäten gnadenlos zu überbuchen, was gerade an stark frequentierten Tagen wie Weihnachten absolut inakzeptabel ist. Auch die Priorisierung von Stammkunden gegenüber anderen Gästen und Reservierungen wirkt fragwürdig und unfair. Wer Monate im Voraus plant und sich auf einen schönen Abend freut, sollte sich auf die Zusagen des Restaurants verlassen können. Angesichts der Preise, die hier verlangt werden, ist dieses Verhalten eine bodenlose Frechheit. Service, Organisation und Gastfreundschaft sind das Aushängeschild eines Restaurants – und all das haben wir hier schmerzlich vermisst. Wir können das Restaurant nach dieser Erfahrung leider nicht empfehlen und werden definitiv nicht wiederkommen.

Incredible restaurant find right off the highway. Value for money for this quality was impressive. There were two of us and we both ate a great steak. A delicious soup came from the kitchen as a greeting. Afterwards, unlimited salad from the huge buffet. After the main course there was a dessert on the house. Paid just under €80 with drinks. Craziness! There are enough parking spaces, including a charging station for electric vehicles. The restaurant is now a must on my trips north.

I had dinner here with my friends at Christmas time. The ambience leaves nothing to be desired. It is wonderfully cozy and warm. A real feast for the eyes. The service is perfectly trained. There is a large selection of delicious dishes and drinks. The sanitary facilities are also second to none. Food and drinks were perfect. It's not cheap, but it's excellent value for money. A real recommendation!

Since there is little on offer in the area around the restaurant, we found our table 2 hours before our time, which wasn't a problem! To eat! Simply top, quality, preparation and presentation are right down to the smallest detail! Our special requests were taken into account and we received competent and friendly advice. We ended up spending the whole evening there.

The review is from December 2023 We had dinner there on Friday. My wife's steak was perfect. I had a goose leg. This was delicious. Unfortunately the supplements were purchased. The dumplings were from a cooking bag and were also crumbly. Unfortunately, the canned red cabbage wasn't spiced up either. Since I expected this from a restaurant like this, there were no complaints. Conclusion, steak and Yugoslavian cuisine works. Unfortunately not at Christmas. The service was friendly, but came across as artificial.

Fantastic steaks. If you want to enjoy great meat, you have to come here. The Hotel Helbach 800° serves excellent steaks. The meat is finally hung on site and therefore individually matured. Depending on the category, you can get a wonderful steak at a fair price. The menu outside of the steaks is also extremely tasty and the restaurant is very cozy for a worthy, tasteful evening. There are more than enough parking spaces on site and access is barrier-free. Looking forward to next time.

We very rarely go out to eat with the family. We were therefore particularly looking forward to a lovely lunch in Helbach. Unfortunately we were consistently disappointed. At first everything was hard to beat with the very spacious and pleasant outdoor seating lounge. Despite the proximity to the motorway, it was hardly noticeable. Subtle music played from several speakers at a pleasant volume. Unfortunately, things then went downhill. Despite reservations, they seemed to have simply forgotten us. When we asked when we would be served, they quickly came around the corner. Our first drinks were of course almost empty. They also brought Spezi instead of Sprite for our daughter. There was also no attempt to make up for the mishap with kindness. Incidentally, the restaurant was not overcrowded, but rather a manageable number of people. It took almost an hour and a half to get the food - every restaurant tester would criticize that. The food was equally sobering. The sirloin steak, which is also advertised, was too well done - even though it was ordered extra medium. It was also laced with tendons. It wasn't seasoned enough, but you didn't have the opportunity to add more. It's actually a simple one and you can expect it in a house like this - without having to keep asking. Simply place the salt and pepper mill on the table and you're done. Or the waiter comes with the giant grinder and adds seasoning at the table. It also has something to do with atmosphere and taking care of the guest. Croquettes, for example, were carelessly placed in a separate bowl. The steak was basically covered in Bearnaise sauce. With such an advertised quality of meat, one can expect that the guest decides for himself how intensively he uses the sauce. Our mood had already sunk and we just wanted to eat up and go home. We paid almost 100 EUR for the visit. If I get kebab fries for everyone, I'll lose 25 EUR. It's not difficult for me to make the next decision. No recommendation from us! Regarding the atmosphere, I would like to say that I am by no means a vegetarian. But when you enter the restaurant, there is a glass case displaying the cured “dry aged” meat. I don't know what impression this makes on vegetarians or small children who (hopefully) have no idea at all about the slaughtering process or the origin of the meat. We give one star for the ambience in the outdoor area - that's everything! We were very annoyed, ibs. because we also had a journey of 25km. The ice cream at the campsite next door was very refreshing and delicious! This can definitely be recommended.

I deducted a point from the location because it is very remote and you can only get there with a car. For dessert I recommend one of the crepe variations.

As always, bombastically good. For me personally it's the best restaurant within a 200KM radius when it comes to meat, I can't comment on the other food. I can't say anything about the room(s) as I've never stayed there. Price performance is of course adjusted accordingly because food etc. has also become more expensive, but for me personally it's absolutely fine and also justified because it's not 0-8-15 meat.

While camping next door for a 1 night stop over we visited this restaurant. The owner of the campsite got us a table as we’d left it late to book and they were full. There were 4 of us we had an excellent meal. Top quality food and the service was great. Nice atmosphere we would definitely recommend eating here.
