We felt very welcome. The service was excellent and attentive. The food was consistently fantastic! We would love to come back.

Unfortunately, we must have had a bad day. Too little service, drinks/aperitif after the starters, wrong steak at first, waiting for the new steak, espresso without sugar (none of the waiters within shouting distance). Bill and wait again until the waiter comes with the EC device. The staff tried hard but unfortunately it doesn't match the expectations when you pay €190 for dinner. Unfortunately, overall the price/performance doesn't match and it was our last visit, even though the steak was very good. Sorry

I love this restaurant!! The food is always on point, incredibly good quality, great selection and 12/10 stars for the preparation. The staff deserves at least as many stars. All employees are super friendly, courteous, attentive and absolute professionals. We eat here regularly and nothing will change.

Ambience is so-so. It's just a breakfast room. You can clearly see the breakfast counter. The food was good but not outstanding. The employees are friendly and accommodating. Okay to eat here but it's better in this price segment.

Very nice service and outstanding food. Came by especially for the brisket and was not disappointed. There were also 2 delicious sauces and side dishes of your choice, the potato gratin was prepared in a classic way and went very well with the main course. The Half Baked Cookie with vanilla ice cream as dessert was exactly my taste. Prices are reasonable for service and quality of food. Meat lovers will get their money's worth. Parking situation is a bit difficult.

Wir waren zum 3. Mal in der Meatery, wie jedes Mal ein gelungener Abend! Herausragender Service, angenehme Atmosphäre und super Essen! Bedient wurden wir von Herrn De Sanctis, nicht nur sehr kompetent sondern auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man kann einen Besuch nur Empfehlen!

A nice experience, but in the price range the doneness has to be right. That wasn't the case. In addition, I felt there was a lack of anything “special”. The meat was ok but not great, the side dishes were tasty but ordinary, the tartare was lightly seasoned and therefore unexciting. The service is great, courteous and friendly, the atmosphere is great. Only the music was a bit loud, so you couldn't really hear the service staff.

Die Restaurantleitung ist sehr dicht am Gast, unauffällig und dennoch max. bemüht das es uns als Gast an nichts fehlt. Es gibt einige Fleischtempel, alle haben ihre Berechtigung und jedoch die Qual der Wahl ist relativ einfach, hier stimmt alles, von A wie Anmeldung, via R wie Reservierung, weiter wie S Service, das Alphabet könnte ich hier zum austoben bringen, es ist auch in Sachen Inneneinrichtung-geilogalaktisch und wir werden demnächst Grüß Gott sagen und uns genusstechnisch verwöhnen lassen. The Meatery had the best steak we have ever eaten, even among well-known restaurants in New York, the Meatery was far better. Today the disappointment came, we were there shortly before 9:00 p.m. and the table was reserved for 9:00 p.m. It was ten past nine and we still didn't have a table, only after we asked again did we get the table. It wasn't pretty, but it wasn't particularly tragic either. At 9:45 p.m. we barely received the food and drink menus. After ordering the drinks, it took a long time again, even though we only ordered a simple ginger ale and a beer. At 10:30 p.m. we finally ate something. Unfortunately this time it wasn't a taste explosion like usual, plus the waitress gave incorrect information. We'll first see whether another restaurant "T" can convince us more in the near future. It's a real shame, but unfortunately that wasn't convincing today! Addendum! But of all the steak restaurants I have ever visited, the Meatery remains the BEST in terms of steak quality and preparation!!!

Tatar vom Lachs oder Thunfisch… …und vieles anderes… Der Restaurantleiter Herrr D. G. empfing uns wie „alte Freunde“ ..so muss dass sein!!!…. Danach aßen und tranken wir uns durch die Karte😎 …einfach ein Genuss….

Excellent food and outstanding service! The lighting concept would have to be changed so that the tables are better lit. Unfortunately, the volume of the background music and the acoustics in the room made communication difficult and pleasant conversation impossible. That's why we only get 3 stars for the ambience even though the furnishings are modern and comfortable. What a shame! It was still a very nice evening and would have been perfect if there had been pleasant conversation.

For anyone who likes good food, this restaurant is a must. Every single dish was perfectly prepared and tasted great. The meat in particular is simply great there. Even today, I sometimes wake up drenched in sweat because I dream about that steak. In addition to the food, the service was also impeccable, always helpful and friendly. Only recommended.

One the best steaks I’ve ever eaten!! Unforgettable… Just, they beed more staff to serve. You have to wait a lot for a simple request. The guy that receive orders, named Kevin was great and well-trained.

Decided to treat myself on my last evening in Hamburg, ordered the 4 x meat appetisers which included a ridiculously good "beef tea", ordered a Malbec from Argentina and a T bone steak which was crazy good with the herbs butter and salt. Place is expensive but I believe it is worth the money, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice, quiet, super fancy and incredibly decorated. I would recommend it If you want to take your significant other, if you want to impress someone in any aspect, or if you want to treat yourself like a king ; ) this is the place to go

The food and service were really excellent. I can only recommend the rib-eye from Latin America to every meat lover. What impressed me most that evening, however, was the absolutely professional service from our waiter. Great advice on all dishes and very attentive service.

This was one of the best beef I had ever eaten. It comes at a price but it is definitely a place that I would recommend. We had a casual business dinner with the 5 of us in total. We chose to have the starter, main and desert in a shared dining way. In this way we all got to taste the diverse selection of beef and prawns the meatery has to offer. All of it was amazing and it was very well prepared. I would recommend going here if you are looking for leaving a good impression!

Very good steakhouse, with a hidden entrance. Steak was very good and also medium rare. Only the highly praised tartare was relatively tasteless. The steaks made up for it. Conclusion: a good place for steaks but I personally wouldn't order the tartare again. Price/performance okay

It's been a (far too) long time since we've been guests at the Meatery and we're once again very impressed. Both the taste and quality of the food as well as the extremely friendly and competent service with consistent etiquette are outstanding and are now rarely found in restaurants. Hats off! Of course the evening costs a little more, but the price-performance ratio is without a doubt great considering what you get. As a starter we had an Asian-dressed tuna tartare of the highest quality, in the style of Hawaiian poke style, incredibly tasty! The main courses were a NY Cut 400g medium-rare from German pastured beef (there was information about the origin up to the slaughter), perfectly cooked, home-cut fries and veal jus and Tiger Prawns 400g, also perfectly cooked, with risotto and chili butter, everything perfectly seasoned and a real taste experience. And by the way, the bar offers a wide and very high-quality selection of spirits and also some really good draft beers. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the wines because I'm not a wine lover. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit!

We are in Hamburg once a year and this restaurant is a must. The food and service confirm this every time. The waiter tried very hard to look after us and made it a great evening. When it comes to beef bricks, the change in the oriental bricks makes me sad, it used to be very tasty and now it's just ordinary and without any spice.

We had a wonderful evening. The service was attentive, friendly and unobtrusive. The food was excellent. The ambience is also good - the volume is pleasant and the tables are sufficiently spaced so that you can have a good conversation.

We always enjoy going to the MEatery several times a year. The service is consistently perfectly polite and courteous. The quality of the food is always consistently perfect. The only downside is the high prices, which will mean that we won't be able to come as often anymore. But if so, then always very happy.

It is a beautiful place. Ten aesthetics of the place are very nice and easy on the eye. The staff is just incredible. They are very nice and friendly. The menu is wonderful. They have many items I had never seen elsewhere like mashed celery which was surprisingly good. The food is wonderful and the bar has a great selection.

The restaurant only accepts digital vaccination certificates. A vaccination certificate that documents all three (!) vaccinations is not enough. Unfortunately, the staff only points this out to you when you're already in the store. The management would have decided that. Well, after many lovely evenings we won't see each other again. There are many rules that we all have to follow to get out of the pandemic. This is pure harassment.

The best steakhouse in Hamburg. You can only dream of meat grilled to perfection. Ribeye and T bone are my favorites. The tartare (veal and beef) and Coupe Denmark are also great. It is only necessary to reserve in advance to ensure a successful visit. Small update: your own meat and cake for dessert are the new favorites.

Great meat perfectly prepared, that's what you want and then the price is justified. Only the drinks, you have such a great bar and selection of drinks and then when it comes to soft drinks there is only Coca-Cola, Fanta and Sprite, you have great Hamburg providers for soft drinks that also offer a different taste 😁

What an incredible place for a steak. This was one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. Although the restaurant was very quiet and not busy, this didn’t take away from my experience. I was served by Lisa who was incredibly attentive. She gave me some amazing recommendations for wine and the whole meal was fantastic. Is on the more expensive side, €75 for the New York steak, 2 sides and a glass of wine but well worth it. I would definitely come back here next time I’m in Hamburg

I was at the Meatery last week and was impressed again. The atmosphere was pleasant and our waitress Lisa was super friendly and accommodating. We didn't have to worry about anything, she put together the menu for us from wine to dessert. We really enjoyed the evening.

Been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Consistent top quality, the tartare is a must (at least two bricks!), and the steaks are so good that even the accompanying vegetarians get their money's worth. Refined drinks from the bar next door, nice service, fun toilets and there's always something to watch!

Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. However, something was just a bit off with the food…just not as flavorful as a steak back in the states.

Had the Tomahawk 1.2 kg for 2 and 2 x ribe eyes, both of which were not 100% convincing. The porterhouse was much better last time. The side dishes were very good, service was very good as always.

Unfortunately, we had the misfortune of having the staff member as a waiter who behaved correctly in terms of tone, but unfortunately didn't have the same service-oriented manner as his colleagues. He didn't want to or couldn't give advice or help because the map wasn't easy for beginners. I then took over this as a now happy regular customer. This annoyance aside, I stand by it, absolutely one of the best places for meat.

The tartare (all 4 types and I think the tartare is just not my thing) which didn't convince me except for the avocado tartare over the medium well T-bone steak which was unfortunately dry or the dessert which strangely enough didn't convince me that much either I find it disappointing for the price (4 people €410)…

A friend of ours made a reservation for 4 people on Sunday, June 16th. We were there on time, just before the restaurant opened, but then found ourselves standing in front of the closed doors...until 5:10 p.m. Although we tried several times to point out that the front door was still locked, we were literally left out in the rain. Luckily, Hamburg has other good restaurants that stick to opening hours. Sorry guys...that's minus points
