RIO Grande is one of my favorite restaurants in the heart of Blankenese. A very familiar atmosphere, super-friendly staff. Even the chefs are usually on-site and warmly serve their regulars. Not only is the service very friendly, but the food is also excellent, from salads to steaks to pasta and desserts. The ambiance is constantly being improved to ensure customers feel completely at home. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The drinks are available here at exorbitant prices. €6.90 for 0.4L Seven Up is simply an outrage. Once and never again

Das Essen war ein Gedicht! Der Service ist super, überaus freundlich und zugewandt. Wir kommen immer gerne und häufig ins Rio Grande und empfehlen es sehr oft weiter.

Main course was fantastic. Unfortunately not the dessert. The placemats are somewhat reminiscent of a cheap fast food restaurant. This makes it look inferior.

Enjoyed brunch for the second time. Everything was very good and tasty. There was plenty of everything and it was always replenished. The choice of food is more than you can manage. Coffee and tea included. The only point of criticism in my opinion is that there isn't another drink included...

We were there for brunch today and were thrilled by the great selection of the most delicious (cold and warm) delicacies. Tea and coffee included is great. Price-performance ratio is right and the staff are attentive and friendly. Highly recommended.

Das Essen war super, nur für ein Glas Wein 0,2 L 9,90€ zu verlangen finden wir echt unverschämt. Gut es ist alles teurer geworden, doch irgendwann langt es und man kann sich das bald nicht mehr leisten.

Wir waren spontan dort essen. Preislich anscheinend den örtlichen Gegebenheiten (Blankenese) angepasst. Service war nur mittelmäßig, obwohl wir mit Kind da waren gab es erst auf Nachfrage eine Kinderkarte. Das Essen war ok, allerdings für den Preis eindeutig zu wenig. Fischteller von der Mittagskarte 16,40€ mit einem kleinen Stück Lachs, kleinem Stück Zander und einer Garnele oder Shrimp. Dazu Bratkartoffeln und ein kleiner Salat (auf den Teller). Hacksteak mit Schafkäse gefüllt für 11,90€ war ok. Brokkoli als zusätzliche Beilage 8€ ist zu viel. Laut Karte gemischtes Eis mit Sahne 9,xx€!! Sorry, aber Preis- Leistung nicht gut.

Über unsere Hotelbuchung wurde uns dieses Restaurant angeboten. Unsere anfängliche Skepsis wandelte sich sehr schnell durch positive Eindrücke. Von der freundlichen Begrüßung bis zum leckeren Essen und dem abschließendem Schnaps ein gelungener Abend. Die Fleischgerichte, ob Rind oder Schwein, waren auf den Punkt gegrillt. Abgerundet wurden die Gerichte mit schmackhafter Beilage. Während unseres Aufenthaltes in Hamburg speisten wir dort noch zwei weitere Male und waren jeweils sehr zufrieden.

A cozy restaurant. The service was very quick and friendly. The food was delicious. We had kale and potatoes with salmon. There was a lot of regular audience there and, as we all know, that says a lot. We can only recommend the Rio Grande and will come back!

Sorry, but this was by far the worst delivery meal in the last 4 or 5 years. We had 1 cheeseburger with fries and chicken wings with country potatoes for 38 euros. Good: everything was hot, nothing was spoiled, the sour cream was solid and poured generously from the cooled ready-made bucket. Bad: the BBQ sauce was disgusting, the country potatoes were still raw inside, the cole slaw side dish contained a homeopathic dose of almost 2 tablespoons. The chicken wings were the type of VERY cheap ready-made frozen products, wow. The burger was the low point. Only the pickled cucumber slices stood out in terms of taste, the rest was completely tasteless. Or my tongue was paralyzed from previous experiences, you don't know. Oh my God. Never again. That was really bad, so I'd rather just drink tap water and starve ;)

Pleasant atmosphere, delicious food and extremely friendly staff. We have been there several times and can really recommend the restaurant. The Sunday brunch is particularly noteworthy: a rich buffet including a pot of coffee and even juice. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right.

Not recommended! Pepsi is touted as Cola Zero! Other sugar substitutes lead to health problems. It's not nice that you get the wrong information and only when confronted directly does the waiter admit that it's not Cola Zero. The icing on the cake was when the bill showed the drink as Cola Zero! I have to admit, this almost borders on cheating.

The only negative point: when I look at the drinks menu, I find the prices, for example for a 0.4l orange lemonade at an impressive €6.50, no longer proportionate and disappointing. I tried: avocado burger and pork tenderloin, both highly recommended

We have been eating here regularly individually and as a family for years. We celebrated big birthdays here and other highlights. The great food, the family atmosphere and everything make it one of our favorite restaurants. We just haven't eaten dessert for years because everything is just too expensive.
