Expensive but also very tasty. After dinner, we went to play billiards. It's a shame the service seemed very stressed... But the steaks, especially the tomahawk, are highly recommended!

Excellent quality food and very generous portions. Very attentive and friendly staff. The ambiance is not for guests seeking a cozy and secluded corner for a romantic dinner. It gets quite loud on weekends.

We were looking for an exceptional restaurant for eight people to spend a lovely Friday evening at. The choice couldn't have been better. From the great ambiance in the winter garden, to the fabulous team, to the exceptional food. The service was knowledgeable. Very open and always cheerful. A very good entertainer. Even though the meal took a while to arrive, it was worth it. In addition to large burgers and steaks, they also offer exotic dishes like kangaroo or crocodile. And even though it's a steakhouse, the vegetarian burger is not to be underestimated. All in all, it was a very good evening, one we would happily repeat.

If a steakhouse in Kassel suddenly acts like it's located right next to Ayers Rock, then this is the place to be. The steaks are so juicy you could almost see a kangaroo hopping by with a knife and fork, eager to grab a piece. What's particularly outstanding: the service! They don't just serve you – they perform magic. The team is faster than a boomerang on a return flight path and friendlier than a koala on an overdose of eucalyptus. You don't feel like a guest, but rather like a long-lost regular, for whom they've immediately reserved the best seat and a smile. In short: An evening here is like a mini-vacation in Australia, only without the jet lag and spiders in size 12. Absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to really put Kassel on the grill!

I highly recommend this restaurant – delicious food, friendly staff, and a beautiful location. The only downsides are the prices are a bit high, and the beef patty on the burgers is too small. But all in all, it's great!

The three of us went to the attached sports bar on a Friday because we wanted to watch a Bundesliga game and have a good meal. Everything worked out perfectly. The food was excellent, and we will definitely eat there again with the family. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful summer party here with our company. There were about 100 of us. The contact and organization of the party was quick and uncomplicated. On the day of the summer party, we were greeted with delicious aperitifs. Then it continued with a lavish buffet that delighted all of our colleagues. Towards the evening, the atmosphere in the winter garden became increasingly cozy and inviting to linger with colleagues. The service was super fast and always very polite. It probably won't be the last party there. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We always enjoy going to Fosters Garden when we're craving a really good steak, as was the case yesterday. We were originally supposed to have an entrecôte, but thanks to the waitress with her dry sense of humor (I love that 😁), we ended up with a tomahawk steak. It was superbly prepared, nice and juicy, and the sides went perfectly with it. The portion might be a bit too large for someone with a smaller appetite, but the taste is amazing. I particularly liked the "Pimms" cocktail, a new creation from the bar. Our waiter was always great, by the way, not only friendly and attentive, but also really convincing. Someone like that is a real asset to a restaurant. Thanks for the great food and service. We'll definitely be back!

Foster's Garden – I highly recommend this steak house: My tomahawk steak was excellently prepared, juicy, and very well seasoned. The atmosphere is pleasant, especially in the outdoor greenhouse. Friendly service – be sure to ask about the current steak specials, as they offer great off-menu options!

There were two of us with a toddler. The food is truly magical and absolutely delicious. We had kangaroo and lamb. There's nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, the Duckstein was a bit warm. But the Naturtrüb, on the other hand, was good.

Loved the food, never tried anything like it before and it was delicious! All the waiters were so sweet and lovely, and especially kind to our baby. All around great experience. If you’re looking for a nice place to have a special dinner, this is a great place. Lovely staff, cozy atmosphere and delicious food. Along with the “typical” steakhouse stables, there are a lot of fun, exotic things to try on the menu, and everything we ordered was excellent. I have no doubts about the passion that goes into making the food here. 10/10, my wife and I will definitely stop by next time we’re in (or anywhere near) Kassel, and so should you. The food was delicious, the steak cooked to perfection. One comment: the steak knives are for survival, even if they're from Jamie Oliver, but a steak knife needs to be sharp and have few teeth.

We were meeting friends for dinner one Saturday evening. Since Kassel was a "central" location, we looked for a restaurant... after some deliberation, we decided on Fosters Garden. The ambiance is good, the conservatory is comfortable, and the noise level is okay. Service gets a 5* + 2* extra, thanks for the entertainment and the good atmosphere that made our evening even better. The food, the kangaroo with the country potatoes, was delicious, although it was a bit dry around the edges, but the rest was perfect (but that also depends on the shape of the pieces of meat). The burger was juicy, and the meat was super juicy. The fries were good with ketchup and mayo as a dip. This week's special was a 350g flank steak for €29.90. Since we weren't sure what to order, given the many delicious dishes on the menu, we were advised to order a double flank steak ;). We must have looked extremely hungry. Okay, we decided to order two double flank steaks and one triple flank steak with fries, rosemary potatoes, and country potatoes. The meat was pink on the outside, still slightly pink inside, and super tender. For dessert, we ordered a chocolate soufflé (white/white or chocolate/chocolate), which was very well received and disappeared in no time ;) The ice cream was good quality, and the selection was perfectly adequate (5-6 flavors). We also tried the cheesecake and found it to be very good. All in all, it was a successful evening, and it was worth the long journey. We'll be back. Thanks, see you sometime.

We celebrated a bachelorette party with 13 people at Foster's. But it wasn't the first time we were there either. The ambience is very nice. Our dishes came quickly, at the same time and were all very tasty. Very friendly and attentive service. We were completely satisfied. Definitely coming back :)

We sat in the winter garden with a fireplace, the atmosphere was cozy. There is a wide selection of drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. For entertainment there is billiards and table football. Update of the original review after 7 years: It's been a long time since I've been to Fosters today and we weren't disappointed again. Delicious food, fast service and good ambience. Unforgettable birthday party in Foster’s Garden – simply fantastic! I celebrated my 60th birthday at Foster’s Garden – and it was just perfect! The location not only offers a stylish and festive atmosphere, but also incredibly friendly staff who accompanied us attentively throughout the evening. An absolute highlight was the extensive buffet: an artfully arranged fish on the mirror, accompanied by a wonderful selection of cold starters, fresh salads, crunchy vegetables and grilled specialties - a real eye-catcher and tasted at the top level! The warm dishes were also a delight - whether tender roasts, Mediterranean oven-roasted vegetables or crispy potatoes - everything was prepared with love and wonderfully presented. The cocktails? Really beautifully decorated, super tasty and just the thing to toast a special occasion. Whether with or without alcohol – there was something for every taste!

5 stars and a big THANK YOU for a wonderful evening with 70 guests in a great ambience, with a rich and excellent buffet and great service. What more could you want ;-)

Das Ambiente ist angenehm, die Bedienung nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist ok, gemessen am Preis des Burgers müssten die Beilagen ( Rösti) selbstgemacht und nicht convinience sein. Der Salat war leider teils am Welken, das Dressing wieder convinience. Das Fleisch ist sehr gut gebraten. Die Schnitzelportionen sind mehr als ausreichend. Ein insgesamt erfreulicher, aber kein perfekter Abend.

Really incredibly delicious food. The ribs are perfectly cooked and so tender that they fall off the bone on their own. The schnitzels are so crispy that the breading breaks when you pierce them. The meat itself is of the best quality and the sauces are legendary. Even the side salad is a highlight.

Fits overall. We were there with tons of people. There were inconsistencies with the payment. So check positions.

Yesterday we had an anniversary celebration in Forster's garden. Everything went as planned, pleasant atmosphere, wide selection of different dishes, all of which were very tasty and beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly and attentive, no glass remained empty for long. Respect to the whole team, we'll be happy to come back.

We went to Forsters Garden for the first time today. In terms of concept, it's an interesting store that doesn't exist again in Kassel. I had the barbecue burger, which at 19.99 euros is already a proud price - especially when you have to order the fries for an extra 5 euros. Unfortunately, the burger overall was rather disappointing. There was quite a lot of meat and the taste was good, but the rest seemed more like convenience: simple rolls, probably packaged, ready-made BBQ sauce, fried onions without any sophistication. The bun was toasted too long and therefore dry. Overall it tasted okay, but just wasn't justified for the price. The service, on the other hand, was really friendly and attentive. Even though the store was pretty full, everything went quickly and we were well looked after. Overall, my friends' food was okay - not bad, but nothing special either. Unfortunately, a few of us later had slight stomach problems, which is of course particularly annoying given the prices. Conclusion: Interesting concept, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't suit me. The service was great, but because of the quality of the food I personally wouldn't go there again.

Not cheap, but first-class food, absolutely great. Were there on Sun. December 22nd. with 6 people. 5 ate different steaks with side dishes. Great meat, Fried to perfection. Sauces, rösti and salad also tasted excellent. And the staff is also very friendly. Gladly again 😀

The most important thing, the food is first class, but the time you wait is extreme. We waited almost 2 hours for the main course. Went there shortly before 6:30 p.m. and the main course arrived at 8:20 p.m. Main course, dessert and payment took over 3 hours!
