Disappointing experience – unfortunately not recommended
I was at Hans Wurst in Aachen today and have to say: unfortunately not my cup of tea. The currywurst was disappointing - nothing special in terms of taste, the portion was rather small and just too expensive. Overall not good value for money.
Things are completely different at Maier-Pevelings in Aachen: There you get larger portions at a cheaper price, the food tastes much better and - what's really great - you can get seconds for free. Unfortunately, in a direct comparison, Hans Wurst clearly comes up short. Will definitely go to Maier-Pevelings again next time.
The fries are tasty in themselves, but not a revelation. The large portion will definitely fill you up, but at €10+ it's a bit expensive for what you get. Falafel were very tasty. Nice location, you can sit very well upstairs. There is no contact with the staff via display order, so there is little that can be said about it. Ordering and pickup went very quickly.
The lasagna was terrible.
Looked like a leftover. Tasted terrible. 🤢
My pizza was supposed to be with tuna and mushrooms, half and half.
I got it with arugula and Parmesan.
Didn't eat the lasagna.
While topping the pizza 🍕, they worked without gloves and rubbed their noses.
Sorry, never, never again.
We only paid for the pizza, unfortunately, and the waitress asked if everything was okay...awesome.
We were very disappointed with our visit. Only cash payment is accepted, which is no longer appropriate these days. The behavior of the staff when paying was completely unacceptable to us.
The quality of the pizza is disproportionate to the price - there are much better pizzerias in the area.
In addition, the bowl for the sauce made an unhygienic impression. It seems as if it is simply reused for all guests without being cleaned in between.
I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant.
Very friendly staff, the food tasted phenomenal, we would love to come back!
Probably not known to many people due to the location, but it is definitely worth a visit!
Pasta with roast beef and wild mushrooms is a real hit. Great service, very good price-performance ratio. You sit outside on the street, but it's still quiet.
The pot roast, marinated for 96 hours...a dream...it was to die for!!
The ambiance was fantastic, and the service was extremely attentive and always up for a joke!
I've rarely left a restaurant so happy.
Best wishes from Switzerland - and we'll definitely be back!
Unfortunately, the ribbon noodles with rump steak strips were missing the rump steak strips. Instead of strips there was rather tough goulash.
I doubt whether the oversalted pasta in the “Bistecca al pepe verde” dish is homemade.
The service was very friendly and also offered a small compensation
