Terrace is nice when the weather is good, but the service can be improved

Good and tasty beers. But this cafe has a lot of left wing visitors and gothic stuff in their restaurant. VERY weird......

Well.. it’s a bit messy, alternative but very cute. Especially outside when the sun is out! I think that maybe adding natural wines would be something to consider :-) and maybe the toilets need a fix too!

Café Kittel used to be one of the best places in Aachen. Unfortunately not anymore. The waiters seem listless and disinterested and unfortunately the drinks tasted stale the last two times. In the early evening the music inside was unbearably loud. I think it would be nice if more emphasis was placed on service again.

Nice bar. Not expensive. Great atmosphere! Will come again

Traditional student's coffeeshop. Best oatmilk flat white in town. Very friendly and diverse staff. The food is amazing.

Café Kittel in Aachen is a great café with a cozy atmosphere! The coffee is excellent and the apple pie is simply delicious. The staff is friendly, even if it is sometimes a bit busy and service takes longer. The prices are fair and you simply feel comfortable here. The only small negative point: the seats are a bit tight. Still a great place – I’d love to come back

Super cool atmosphere, and the Cafe seems to attract a cool crowd of people. It was my first time here and I'll definitely be coming back. The prices were reasonable and the staff was available and quick.

A small, inconspicuous café in the heart of Aachen that you have to visit. Whether for breakfast brunch, a drink at the end of the day or just a cappuccino, it is always worth a visit and is enjoyed by all age groups. The prices are low to moderate and the employees are always friendly and helpful.

Extrem unfreundlich und lange Wartezeit. Tisch wird nicht abgeräumt. Getränke und Essen sind aber lecker und preislich okay.

I really don't recommend it. Really pitiful service Rude staff I order a beer without a glass and when I ask for a second x because he had forgotten. I really feel like I'm bothering him Plus the glass was really dirty. Latte macciato without sugar.

It was better here, after I ordered a non-alcoholic wheat it came after a while. Unfortunately, after I had expelled it, it stayed that way. I didn't ask if I wanted anything else, even after other guests at the next tables were served, there was no response. It wasn't until the waiter came to collect the money to end his shift that he showed up at me again. Apparently the service here is paid by the hour and not by sales. Unfortunately it was a dry event.

Lives up to its reputation... and that's not meant in a negative way

Incredibly bad service. The order was first delivered incorrectly, then forgotten, criticism was followed by insults... The girl behind the counter prefers chatting with colleagues instead of providing service. The dirty glasses are piled up on the counter. You can't beat the arrogance.

Correct people, great atmosphere, cool stickers and delicious food (good tarte flambée and cocoa)

Pathetic service. Took more than 1 hour for 2 flamkoken and 45 minutes for a drink. Maybe they can hire 1 more cook or make their kitchen bigger if they seat around 100 people. Very disappointing. My trip got slowed down because I decided to eat here.

Very shitty service. We waited for over 1.5 hours for 2 Flammkuchen.. The place seems very understaffed, with 3 waiters for over 100 outdoor seats. Don’t go here if you’re hungry. Food is definitely not worth the wait..

Wow, what a great cafe We haven't lived in Aachen for that long and found this café by chance. I like the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly and relaxed service. We'll definitely be back.

Service started well, but then fell off badly. Toilets smell really bad.

There is a relaxed atmosphere in this fairly alternative café and brasserie. It is reminiscent of the sixties, although young people will of course not have that feeling. The service is a bit slow, but that's part of it. Furthermore, a reasonable price for a small meal. Nice place for those who want something different. Photos: the toilets deserve a makeover.

Easy ordering even though it was full

This is a very well located place in pontstr. Employees served very fast and attentive even though it was crowded. We tried eifeler landbier,peters kölsch,leffe brune and nachos e/ salsa&sour cream sauce. We loved them.

Cool cafe. Very often a good atmosphere, unfortunately sometimes a bit loud, but you have to accept that in a trendy district. In addition to the local newspaper, there is also TAZ + SZ - bravo!!

Can't watch anything about football. Televisions are constantly cut off, service staff are very unfriendly and say that there are some things that cannot be ordered, even though other waiters are giving out exactly these things. Being there 4 hours before the Germany game doesn't help because it's allowed for others to sit on top of each other and squeeze in so that others no longer have a view. Service is extremely overwhelmed. Waiter in red and white looks very unfriendly. Other waiters stand in front of the screens. Never again!

Unfortunately, watching the EM was the worst thing I've ever experienced so far. The staff should please make sure that people in the front rows don't sit on their laps shortly before the game and that you can't see anything anymore. By the way, they didn't order anything the entire game. I was able to observe them very well because they were fully in the picture...

It was a very relaxed fruit wheat

The store has never been very good and I've popped in there every now and then since it opened decades ago. And it got and continues to get worse. Now they have even displaced the venerable bookstore 39 in the building... Nothing will happen to you anymore.

We waited 25 minutes + for a waiter and then finally left. Plates and glasses from the guests had not been cleared away in time.

I really enjoyed being in the café, but unfortunately there were compromises in the service. I was neither treated fairly nor respected. That really disappointed me.

Beer garden area was large and sociable, service was top.

We were there yesterday with a large group and we enjoyed the food. Unfortunately, the service was absolutely overwhelmed and extremely unfriendly. When we wanted to pay and pointed out to the waiter that he might have undercharged us because two meals were left on the bill, he became abusive and yelled at us not to bother him and to not come back. It was an encounter of the third kind and unacceptable. Someone who is not under our control should not work in service. We certainly won't be coming back!

Very nicely located old café with a large beer garden in the middle of the city. We only drank coffee and tea there, the cake we ordered was forgotten. When I asked another waitress, nothing came. When we noted on the bill that we hadn't received a cake, there was no apology. It seems difficult to get good staff.

Lamps go out. Service takes 30 minutes for 1 Pils. catastrophe

Best gastro pub in Aachen, with a very nice and homely atmosphere. Waiters are always in a good mood, but you have to be honest: if you go there at a high point when the Rapell shop is full, depending on how fast you drink, the waiters sometimes need a little time before they can take the next order from you, which is why I recommend it to everyone with big ones Thirst like me to order 2 drinks in alcoholic form. I can also highly recommend the tarte flambée.

The café has a nice atmosphere and offers delicious drinks. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very tasty and the service was quite unfriendly.

“The smock is an oasis between Sowiso’s and Pontgarten” probably sums it up best. And the latte macchiato with oat milk and caramel + pumpkin soup scraps always :)

the coffees are affordable and relatively cheap than other cute cafes. Wifi is provided and you can work there with your laptop. The staffs are attentive and the interior is pretty cute as well. Would easily spend 4 hours there !!

Price performance is right. More student-like, a bit old but it has charm. You have to like the look. Cozy pub for a breakfast, snack or simply a beer. In summer with a beer garden.

Entspannte Atmosphäre, vorallem im Sommer und beliebter Treffpunkt für Studenten. Die Kellner sind sehr nett und Getränke/Essen haben ein gutes Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Gutes Café zum Arbeiten mit einem großen "aber": man wird vom ältesten und unfreundlichsten Kellner ab 20 Uhr rausgeschmissen, wenn man alleine ist. Statt Lösungen zu suchen, reagiert der Eigentümer also auf seine finanziellen Schwierigkeiten so, indem er single Gäste rauswirft. Gastfreundschaft 0/10.

Ich LIEBE dieses Café. Die Stimmung ist perfekt, die Preise günstig und alle Mitarbeiter ein Traum. Jeder da verdient mind. 20% Trinkgeld. Super nett, sympathisch und witzig. Ich weiß nicht wieso, aber alle Mitarbeiter sind zudem noch sehr hübsch. Alle negativen Kommentare sind gelogen. Die Kellner sind sehr fleißig und man sollte als Gast nicht erwarten, dass man mitten im Rush wenn der gesamte Biergarten voll ist nach einer Minute was serviert bekommt! Außerdem merkt man, dass dem Chef sein Personal sehr wichtig ist. Da möchte man den Laden ja umso mehr supporten! Also wenn man in Aachen ist, muss man auf jeden Fall dahin!!!

So ohne Vorwarnung in eine als Café getarnte Studentenkneipe? Nach den dünnen ChaiLatte ohne jeglichen Teegeschmack und dem als Pfefferminztee bestellten Ingwertee haben wir es nach dem Abstecher zum Sanitärbereich dann dabei belassen...

Gute alte studentenkneipe mit Flair, exotischen Getränken von nicht alltäglichen Marken, überschaubare Karte... Heute allerdings keine gute Bedienung erwischt, lange Wartezeiten, falsche Preise auf dem Deckel und scheinbar es Desinteresse am eigenen Job... Schade...

Es war klasse, ich-älteres Semester-fühlte mich stark an früher erinnert, als wir viel und oft abends ausgingen(allerdings nicht hier, sondern in unseren Heimatstädten.... herrlich hier ...kommen bald wieder nach Aachen

The food in this cafe is better than anything in the Netherlands and the atmosphere, music and the people working there is probably the greatest thing in the cafe.

Just coincidentally found this place. Stopped in for lunch, We asked for two veggie options, the shakshouka and Lauch-Hackfleisch-Suppe. And both were excellent, with nice complex flavors. Surprisingly, it’s the best shakshouka I’ve had in a restaurant thus far. The pictures don’t look too great but u gotta trust me on it XD The vibe of the place is nice and seems to be student oriented. The prices were also very reasonable.

Tweemaal enkel iets gedronken De eerste keer op een vrijdagavond tijdens de kerstmarktperiode. We zaten buiten onder de tent en hier en daar hangen er verwarmingselementen. Hierdoor was het min of meer doenbaar om bij vriestemperaturen buiten te zitten. De ober kwam na ongeveer een kwartier onze bestelling opnemen en lachte de mensen die iets non-alcoholisch bestelden min of meer uit. Ook is Duits niet onze moedertaal en spotte hij hier mee als we iets verkeerd uitspraken. De tassen plakten nog en waren mijn inziens niet erg proper. Sanitair was wel netjes Een tweede rondje bestellen zat er niet echt in omdat we amper een ober of dergelijke zagen en vroegen dus maar de rekening. Hier was er ook discussie bij de teruggave van het geld. Volgens hem had hij correct weer gegeven en was de munt gwn gevallen, soit De tweede maal was in de late nm en wederom onder de ‘verwarmde’ tent. Deze over kon niet beter en vriendelijker zijn! Prijs kwaliteit zeker oke, wel erg studentikoos en met de bediening is het dus chance of pech hebben

Typische Aachener Studentenbar. Es sitzt sich gemütlich im Biergarten. Das Essen ist lecker insbesondere die Linsensuppe mit Suçuk ist empfehlenswert. Leider ist die Bierversorgung meist sehr langsam, teilweise wartet man ein ganzes Bier auf das nächste.

Eines der angesagtesten Studenten Bars in Aachen. Im Sommer gibt es zusätzlich noch einen schönen Biergarten. Wenn es voll ist Wartet man teils sehr lange auf seine Getränke

Es ist anderes als andere Cafe´s. Hier sind alle sehr entspannt & freundlich. Die Ambiente ist gemütlich und die Preise sind angemessen. Gegessen habe ich hier leider noch nichts aber viele meiner Freunde und die waren immer sehr zufrieden. Ich komme sehr gerne her und kann es nur weiter empfehlen.

Bestes Café in Aachen. Seit 20 Jahren das beste Ambiente bei absoluter Gemütlichkeit gepaart mit Geschmack. Mittlerweile 700 km entfernt lebend stets die erste Anlaufadresse.

Ein außerordentlich schöner studentischer Ort, um Leute zu treffen.

Super gemütlich. Kenne den Laden schon seit mehr als 20 Jahren. Er bleibt sich treu. Tolle heiße Zitrone, exzellenter Kürbiskuchen.

Während die Location grundsätzlich ansprechend war, verhielt sich der garçon „Vincent“ - mit Verlaub - unter aller Sau. Er war unhöflich, kassierte erst nach etwa einer halben Stunde und zündete sich mit unserem Feuerzeug während des Bezahlvorgangs eine Zigarette an. Leider keine Empfehlung! The worst service ever, I waited 1 hour for a Hennessy with cola to come to me. Change the employees because they are incompetent!!!

We love this place and visit every time we’re in Aachen. Great for breakfast with really good value options - so glad they’ve started offering this again. We had the student breakfast and the Kittel breakfast - a mixture of bread, cheese, ham and egg. Great ‘Milchkaffee’ too. The best way to start the day. Delicious!

Uraltes Lokal, man hat hier Jugenderinnerungen . Es läuft gute Musik, aber leider einen Ticken zu laut. Wir trinken hier gerne den Amerikaner.

Alt eingesessenes Café, hab hier schon vor 30 Jahren manche schöne Stunden verbracht. Wollten heute bei schönem Wetter hier in der Mittagspause etwas essen. Einzige Karte die wir finden konnten im Netz hörte sich gut an, hatte mit dem tatsächlichen Angebot aber rein gar nichts zu tun. Wartezeit auf Getränke etwas zu lang. Mit dem Essen ging es noch. Die durchaus nette Bedienung musste wohl den ganzen Laden alleine schmeißen, Bestellung aufnehmen, Café zubereiten, Bier zapfen, ... Essen war OK, leider nur eine Hand voll Gerichte (s. aktuelle Karte). Stühle im Garten für mich äußerst unbequem.

Einfach Kult und immer wieder gut.
