The fries were soggy, and the salad wasn't good. It looked like it had been sitting in the display case all day. For us, it was a one-time deal.

It was very nice. There were plenty of options. We as a family really enjoyed our meal. It was very crowded inside, and unfortunately, we had to sit outside in the cold weather. It's getting colder, and customers need more seating inside. Overall, it was very good, but we were sad we couldn't sit inside. 😊

Friendly staff, a lovely terrace, and the price/performance ratio is also excellent. They gave one star for service because the staff was replaced by machines. And what I find rude...they ask you for a tip when paying at the machine. WHAT FOR?? Have you got some amazing fries? Then go there! Enjoy!

The fries weren't tasty at all. You'd think they'd thrown in some Lidl fries. You could still taste the oil. Neither the mayo nor the ketchup tasted good.

I'm always impressed by Frittenwerk in Aachen! The selection is huge, there's truly something for everyone. I find the ordering system with the vending machines particularly convenient; it's super easy and quick, and you're then called by name. You never have to wait long. Plus, there's plenty of seating both downstairs and upstairs. Highly recommended!

Had fries with pulled pork and coleslaw. Unfortunately, the fries were soaked in the coleslaw sauce that they eventually became soggy and mushy. The pulled pork tasted a bit like goulash. Definitely too expensive for that. But if you like it...

It used to be delicious, and the portions were also larger. After receiving a small portion of Tijuana Street Fries today that weren't salted and drenched in way too much sauce, I think this will be my last time here.

A visit to Frittenwerk is worthwhile, and not just on Canada Day. Top quality at reasonable prices. On today's Canadian national holiday, they served poutine, fries with gravy and cheese. The fries are available as regular fries, sweet potato fries, or garlic fries. In addition to the classic poutine, there are various other variations. For us, the visit is always worthwhile 😁👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

A very pleasant opportunity to enjoy fries in a different way. A very pleasant place with a great atmosphere and excellent service and staff.

We've been there twice. The food is very good, but the first time, a dish was missing and the salad dressing was forgotten. The second time (to go), the drinks were charged, but again, they forgot to add them. So check your order carefully!

Top food but price a bit expensive

You can't expect more from a snack bar. Everything is well-organized and well-rounded. The food is well-varied and plentiful, and the value is good. The place has an original design.👍

Good Currwurst but the service leaves something to be desired. It's very slow and not even a smile. Plus, you have to eat outside. They charge a deposit on the bottles even though it's impossible to return them and get a refund: it's pretty pathetic.

Wow, a chip shop in a glass cube... That's the only thing they do. I'll always prefer going to Mayer Pevelings by the cinema rather than that overpriced hipster joint. Why should I eat inferior fries with factory-made sauces when there are handmade fries with handmade sauces from Michelin-starred chefs practically a stone's throw away?

I read through your comments. It's really funny what you're saying. :-) I wasn't asked for a tip. On the contrary... I was just in the restroom with my daughters, and I wasn't asked there either... Just FYI, folks. Not only is the food great here, but the staff is too... Super nice. And it's so funny that they call out your order with funny names... I really enjoy eating here... This peace and quiet and the ambiance are simply wonderful... Now comes the best part. I ordered two different 9-piece nuggets and a fries, and it came to €18, and I was pretty full. If you haven't eaten here, you've really missed out. Thanks again for everything and your kindness.

This was my first time at your place and I was curious, as I was expecting Belgian-style fries. So I thought I'd go for the large portion that was advertised. Large is a matter of personal preference, but if the bowl is 20% smaller than shown, then that's not right, sorry. The pictures posted here definitely show larger portions! The fries were good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I found the tip request odd, but it's been criticized in various reviews.

It was delicious, but I was really bothered by the fact that the staff wanted a tip, even though nothing was reserved at the table and you had to do almost everything yourself. Not a problem at all, but then you don't ask for a tip...

We were in Aachen, and it was really good. A nice young lady typed in our order, so we didn't have to use the machine. Vegans and vegetarians will find something to enjoy. The fries with guacamole and sour cream were great. We'd gladly go back. 👍🙏

Dear Frittenwerk Team, I'm a regular customer from Cologne and was in Aachen today and thought to myself, "You can't go wrong at Frittenwerk." I'm really used to good quality, reasonable portion sizes, freshness, and friendliness from you. My experience in Aachen today was a little different: At first, they were nice and polite when serving. Unfortunately, I then noticed that the fries were old, no longer hot and crispy, and there was very little sauce on the currywurst. My hunger overlooked this. Then a wasp flew into my Coke Zero, from which I had taken two sips. I politely admitted, "I know it's not your fault, but could I possibly get a new one?" The employee went to another colleague, who, with an annoyed look and a shake of the head, said, "It's not my fault." I wish I'd received an answer as polite as the one I asked. When he realized I'd seen and heard him, he quickly replied, "Sorry, no." At that point, I lost interest in the conversation and left. I work in retail myself and understand everything. That's exactly why I asked so nicely. But anyone who doesn't have a sense of hospitality and can't bring themselves to talk to a guest should reconsider their career choice.

The price is quite expensive for the portion and does not offer a different experience.

We stumbled in here in a rain shower. Ordering was easy. The food was ready quickly and was delicious. The currywurst is slightly spicy. The salads are delicious and fresh. Definitely recommended.

Three of us spontaneously dropped in. The terminals are great, the atmosphere pleasant. Our orders came quickly. However, the currywurst was mediocre. Unfortunately, half the fries were drowned in the sauce and therefore no longer crispy. Eating faster wouldn't have helped. The currywurst also sat heavily on two people's stomachs! We wouldn't be coming back. Sorry!
