On a side street, right in the middle of a residential area, you'll find "Hausgemacht." A friend told us about this restaurant, which serves food and drinks made from its own produce, so the four of us headed there...
The staff are attentive and friendly, always up for a chat or a joke. The drinks, homemade soft drinks and beer from the restaurant's own production, were delicious. The dishes on offer didn't disappoint either, and the quantity was more than sufficient. A place we can recommend with a clear conscience, but... don't bring a small wallet - quality has its (justified) price.
Loup de Mer (€34.90) - Roulade (€30.90) - Vitello Tonnato (€8.90)
The food was excellent but for our taste it was sometimes a bit random. Very nice service and interesting wine accompaniment, sometimes the explanations were a bit brief.
We were at the James Farmhouse today with 6 people. The food was great, but unfortunately you can't say that about the service!
4 drinks we ordered came quickly (water/wine)
Despite asking, we had to wait 3/4 hours for our 2 hefeweizen ☹️
When paying, more was charged than ordered. It was also a problem for the waiter to separate the bill for each couple.
This has nothing to do with good gastronomy.
Unfortunately, the artificial leather on the bench was also broken, meaning that if you were a woman you would have quickly ruined your tights.
The bottom line is that the price-performance ratio was not there
We're happy to pay good money for good food and good service, but it didn't work here at all! Too bad
But we were so annoyed by the waiter's indifference that we won't come here again and certainly won't recommend it.
Others can do that better.
The atmosphere is Nordic, rustic, cozy.
Service is very nice and warm, attentive and authentic.
The Labskaus was very tasty. The starter of potato pancakes with salmon was very rich.
The smoked pork was juicy and not too salty. The country house burger was well fried.
Price/performance is reasonable.
Dogs are welcome and are given water
Toilet clean.
Conclusion: Very happy again 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The food was again very tasty.
Asparagus well cooked, fried fish delicious. The fried potatoes were too greasy and we had to wait longer for the beer than for the cocktails. Service was nice/authentic. Towel paper was missing from the men's toilet. We would only give 4 stars today, but we'll leave it at that in the hope that the two points will be improved on the next visit. 😉
A really nice outdoor area and delicious food.
Huge portions and great value for money.
The entire staff, especially the waitresses, were incredibly friendly and attentive.
Always a good decision! I recommend the "funny Bosniak".
Many thanks to the team, we'll be back!
Update April 7, 2025
Lunch with my daughter... As always, very tasty and recommended!
reserve in advance for indoor use only. Without a reservation you might get a table outside. The food is within the normal range, without any wow effect.
As always, very tasty food, fresh and regional, including old Holstein recipes. Non-Holsteiners will certainly be full and satisfied 😉
Service friendly as always. We were able to take matjes with us sealed. 👍🏻
CAUTION!
If you want to order a pommdöner via Lieferando, it says with a side dish of your choice, without salad.
Ordered, arrived with LOTS of red cabbage. After I called and asked, I was told it wasn't as stated. It was suggested to me that I should reorder at my own expense.
And really rude on the phone.
Pide and kebab were still tasty, but not recommended for ordering
Great food. The onion soup is particularly great! Service very nice and funny. Unfortunately no mocha but espresso. Please also definitely try the raspberry dessert gratin but only if there is still room in your stomach!
