The food is delicious but completely overpriced. A steak that costs €59 and isn't served hot isn't appropriate. You have to understand that the price is mainly for the amazing view.

What's going on there is a complete rip-off! The prices on the menu are incorrect; there are two menus and different prices! The food is completely overpriced and not justified!

I only discovered it last year, but I've even been there twice this year! Whether it was sea bass, oysters, or steak...everything was simply an experience! I was also lucky enough to enjoy the sunset in this extraordinary location with fantastic weather! The view of Böhler Beach with horses in the background and a kitesurfer rounded off the wonderful evening and made it perfect! Great and very friendly service without being fancy!

An incredibly beautiful atmosphere. Great service, and a fantastic location. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to my expectations. A great steak, no question. Overall, though, the food doesn't live up to the very high price. Even for my partner, the portion wasn't big enough. Dessert, at €10, is overpriced. But I still have fond memories! A revised menu, and I'd gladly come back.

Good ambience, food unfortunately a bit too expensive

Of course, a cool location and good service (even if it's always confusing when a total of 4-5 people rotate through your table). BUT: not recommended for vegetarians at all. The more or less only vegetarian main course consists of vegetable sticks (including rock-hard celeriac) briefly thrown on the grill. Everything is oversalted and served on rather boring puree. How do some restaurants always get the idea that people who eat vegan/vegetarian only eat vegetables? What about protein in the form of legumes, tofu, etc.? The world is vast for that! It's a real shame that such an expensive restaurant makes no effort – especially since it's already well known in the village that the vegetarian option is useless. But what are people supposed to do who want to go out to eat with friends who just like fish? So please offer something better!

A wonderful evening in a fantastic atmosphere, with super-friendly service and super-delicious food (I'll do what you read on many menus today: oysters, ceviche, feta cheese, North Sea sole, mille feuille, and yogurt ice cream—the amazing taste is best experienced for yourself anyway!!!)

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the value for money. Anyone who has ever eaten cataplana in Portugal knows how generous the portions are. Our fish soup consisted of 8 mussels and a small piece of cod. I was actually tempted to go for the sole, but here a small one cost €71.50, so I went for the sea bass. It came with a small green salad and potatoes. The salad consisted of onions with coriander; unfortunately, I'm one of those people who finds coriander soapy. After paying the hefty bill, we went to a snack bar because we were anything but full.

A truly lovely ambiance, with very friendly and attentive service. We felt very comfortable. However, the food wasn't particularly good – at least I wouldn't order the steaks here again. They were completely charred on the outside and barely edible. Including the large bone, they were also very expensive. The fries were served with salad mayo and were rather mediocre. According to my companion, the fish was considerably better. It's probably best to know in advance what you're ordering here, or better yet, what not to order.

Food top views top condition flop

Only allows guests with dogs in until 5 p.m. Therefore a visit was not possible. Addendum to the answer: Thank you for the reply to my review, but my planned visit has nothing to do with the fact that I didn't have time before 5pm, but rather that I wanted to go out for dinner. As a dog owner, I don't understand this restriction because dogs behave the same way after 5 p.m. as before. This is why an evaluation comes about from the perspective of a dog owner.

There's nothing wrong with it. Food was great, service was exemplary and the location “Pfahlbau” speaks for itself. I don't know what crumbs I would have to dig into here just to criticize. Just keep going! We'd love to come back.

Beautiful place. The food is OK without being flashy. The service was really good & so was the atmosphere & view. The location is fantastic & we recommend walking the short walk to the restaurant rather than driving. Parking is quite expensive & difficult if you don't read German. Signs are not translated into English or Danish.

Unfortunately very snobby, location right on the beach but if you come to the supposed bar dressed appropriately (sweater and pants, but also flip-flops), you will be ignored or have to stand in front of the door again. Rarely have I experienced something so rude. The prices are very high, but the food is nothing special.

After the SPO typically paid a lot for parking, our visit here unfortunately disappointed us. For 3 fried pieces of fish with fries €24. For a pair grilled carrots, parsnips and beetroot similar. Unfortunately that was nothing. Unfortunately, price-performance doesn't match.

Located directly on the beach on the pile tree with a beautiful view of the beach and water when it is there. Prices are commensurate with the location with a good selection for both large and small. There was a bit of a wait until you were seated, even if there were enough places available. This could be optimized. The food was very tasty.

I was looking forward to the grilled vegetables 'From Farm to Table' for €22.50. Unfortunately, the vegetable strips were really charred black. Unfortunately I had it returned. I was told that there was no other way to do it on the grill and that I wouldn't be happy with it. If you can only get the "healthy vegetables" burnt black, I don't think you should offer them.

On the occasion of our wedding anniversary, we were able to experience a very special evening at Salt & Silver by the sea in Sankt Peter-Ording. The atmosphere right on the North Sea, the stylish ambience and the cosmopolitan-inspired cuisine make this place something truly unique. Here we work with high-quality ingredients, think creatively and prepare them with a lot of love - every plate tells a little story. The dishes tasted excellent! Particularly worth mentioning: My food intolerance was addressed immediately and with extreme care - even though I had already found an alternative for myself, a suitable solution was offered without hesitation. That was not only professional, but also very warm. What also deeply impressed us was the cooperation within the team: we have rarely experienced such a harmonious, appreciative and at the same time relaxed collaboration. This atmosphere is transmitted directly to the guest - you feel welcome, seen and cared for. And then there was that beautiful sunset – not ordered, but perfectly served. He made the evening and the special meal at this place an unforgettable experience. A heartfelt thank you for this special moment - a wonderful evening full of enjoyment and warmth - we will remember this visit in a very special way and would be happy to come back!

The restaurant is good, but unfortunately our expectations were not met. Price-performance not met. Visually, the food was beautifully presented, the taste was good, but not special. Unfortunately, there's not enough on the plate for the men in the group.

We were at Salt & Silver several times this year too. As always very satisfied. We stopped there after a hike in the mudflats. Good prices but worth every cent. Very friendly service and we felt comfortable there. Now 4 months later still OK. Super friendly.

From our point of view, the price-performance ratio is not right at all.

You should concentrate more on the sea and the beach.

That was a blast! Absolutely wonderful ambience outside, can't be topped. The service was really nice. We had bratwurst, plaice and sheep's cheese, all dishes were excellent. Plus the view! A great experience!

Price value leaves much to be desired,three Oysters,one steak ,one rose wine and three beers 100 plus Euro.The presentation of the food could be improved,steak and a bunch of fries,one sauce bernaise store made. I’m really disappointed with Michelin recommending the Restaurant, did they actually ever visit?

Nothing to complain about! Nice staff, delicious food, great ambience... we felt completely at home!

We ate cake there, maybe that wasn't a good idea. The other dishes from the other guests looked good and smelled very good too. So the cake wasn't good, better leave it alone or hire someone who can. You could eat the cake, but it wasn't anything special. The ambience is of course great, the service is great.

Expensive price performance not at all

The view and ambience are really great, and the staff is nice and helpful, but at peak times you can get your cake half an hour before your coffee. Maybe you should think about another coffee machine ;-))

Unfortunately, the floe was a fat-floating disaster! My companion complained of nausea after eating. An absolute no-go for this restaurant category! It's a real shame, we were really looking forward to the visit. It is questionable whether we will ever come back. The location is of course great, the service was also good.

Over the years we have always been in the former Seekiste and were quite happy there. Yesterday we went to Salt & Silver for the first time. As always, the view is simply fantastic. We didn't like the interior as much as, for example, Noah's Ark or the 54 Degree Beach Bar. But that's a matter of taste. In the end, I think it's much more important whether the food tastes good and whether you feel welcome. The service staff, when they were there, was very nice. Unfortunately we didn't get a menu and were ignored for a long time, so we got the menu ourselves. The prices are comparatively high. Also for SPO conditions. Well, if the food is good then there would be nothing wrong. We ordered tomato soup and fries. There was nothing to criticize about the fries except that they cost 7.50 euros. Completely exaggerated. To be honest, the tomato soup was a puddle for 14.50 euros in a large plate and didn't taste like tomatoes in any way, it was completely over salted (and we like it salty!). The two oils on the soup were nice to look at, but made it impossible to get the last hint of tomato flavor. When the cappuccino was forgotten, the frustration was too great to stay any longer. We probably won't come back because the price-performance ratio just isn't right.

Perfect evening! Super nice welcome, super nice atmosphere. We had the ultra delicious Cevice as a starter, the extremely good Cataplana and the fantastic Brick Chicken as a main course. Plus a top Riesling from Katharina Wechsler from Rheinhessen. The service was very attentive, the food came quickly and everything was perfect. We went to a lot of restaurants in the area around SPO. Often eaten well. But nowhere else has it been as good as here. Keep it up!

You wait in the counter area until you are asked. Since we wanted to go to the outside terrace, we had to wait a short 5 minutes inside the restaurant before we were taken to a table. Really well regulated. You just have to have some patience. The space and the view were great. A beautiful panorama, especially at high tide when the water comes. The order was taken quite quickly, one after the other. The soft ice cream and the cheese and sour cream cake were delicious, but the cake was quite cold. The latte tasted really great. The only unpleasant detail with the tubular steel wicker chair was that the upper tube pressed against the back. One of the many seat pads helped. There are plenty of other seating options too...

Such a situation The beach bar, standing on high supports, is an attraction. You can sit there comfortably and have a unique view. Friendly staff and reasonable prices speak for themselves. The bus runs every hour and is free for parking space users

Expensive but beautiful restaurant. Probably the best SPO experience you can get. Local ingredients, great transparency and very friendly service. Owners are often on site and are willing to talk, friendly and professional. The food is of course expensive, but worth it. The location absolutely cannot be beaten. With a view of the sea and the best sunset in all of SPO, the "Seekiste" is an absolute must-have for a real SPO vacation. Without this restaurant (or its predecessor), it wouldn't be quite SPO.

We were simply thrilled with Salt & Silver, the service and of course the food. The prices are more than reasonable and the atmosphere is just casual and nice. Thank you for the lovely evening!

Arrived promptly at the reserved time of 7:30 p.m., stood around for 5 minutes until the two of us were assigned a round table for four. Then for 30(!!) minutes no one at our table even spoke to us. We were completely ignored. After we were annoyed by mosquitoes even inside (spray with mosquito spray before visiting - especially outside!!), we left. Even our last “bye” was ignored. And apart from that, the ambience inside is mediocre, the evening menu is very manageable and everything is quite expensive overall. Unfortunately, price/performance doesn't add up here.

We were at Salt & Silver by the sea with 3 people on September 19th, 2024. We waited 1.5 hours for our order, including baked sheep's cheese. The baked sheep's cheese was ice cold, after complaining I received the same plate of lukewarm after 20 minutes Sheep cheese back. Sorry, but if those are your requirements. It's a shame that you can sink to a snack level like that.

Very! Good food, great staff, great location

The service is okay, unfortunately we had to point out to the waitress that the table needed to be wiped down. There was no food served with the fish sandwich. The fish sandwich was delicious. Ultimately, the outlook is that what will make everything okay again.

It's difficult to leave a review if you've only had 2 beers there. Ambiance and service are very good. But the fact that dogs are only welcome until 5 p.m. is, in my opinion, a complete disgrace. Beach walkers with dogs welcome, evening guests feel disturbed? Who is disturbed here? Were there at lunchtime with our dog. A dog at every second table and everything without any problems. What's the difference? We would have liked to come to a nice dinner in the evening, but unfortunately that wasn't possible without a dog. If that changes, we would be happy to receive an invitation or even an answer.

The food, service and view were great

The place as such was very beautiful. We didn't eat anything there. Just enjoyed the peace and quiet on the beach.

A wonderful place in the middle of the sea :) top service (nice, helpful, child-friendly), excellent food and a fantastic view! The entire staff seemed like a family, super nice! The menu is manageable, but for us it is always a good sign that the quality is right. For vegetarians there is (among other things) an excellent sheep's cheese as a starter and a magnificent, fresh plate of grilled vegetables as a main course (highly recommended!). We would love to come back.

If you love a special setting, you should definitely stop by here. A friendly, cheerful team knows how to pamper their guests. The food is extremely tasty and definitely recommended.

Just awesome, I would like to start by saying! The location, a cool stilt house, the interior design is stylish and yet comfortable. The food was super tasty and really high quality. We had the sea bass and the steak, with oysters as a starter. Above all, however, the service shined. In SPO we have never been able to experience such know-how about the food, the drinks and the necessary sensitivity. We had a great evening.

Beautiful location with a great sunset. Espresso Martini was outstanding. Menu is small, but our fish dishes were excellent (salmon & sea bass). The dessert was one of the best on this trip! Unfortunately, I wish the corner where we sat had been a little cleaner. And then in the evening the snails came! Either go in after sunset and go home, otherwise you might get eaten.
