Urlaub am Bodensee. Da kommt automatisch auch die Lust auf Felchen. Jetzt muss man aber wissen, dass es seit dem 01.01.2024 bis mindestens Ende 2026 ein umfassendes Fangverbot für Felchen (Blaufelchen) gibt, um den Bestand zu sichern bzw. auszubauen. Daher sind nahezu alle Felchen, die in den Restaurants angeboten werden, keine "Bodensee-Felchen", sondern Felchen, die aus anderen Gewässern oder aus der Zucht kommen. Es dürfen daher aktuell auch keine Bodensee-Felchen unter dieser Bezeichnung auf Speisekarten ausgewiesen werden. Trotzdem haben wir im Restaurant "Alte Post" Filets vom Felchen gegessen und die waren auch wunderbar. Wir saßen draußen an der Strandpromenade und hatten einen wundervollen Blick auf den See und den kleinen Hafen von Meersburg. Kritikpunkt: Wir saßen noch am Aperitif und unsere Bestellung kam gefühlt nach 5 Minuten. Entweder standen die fertigen Speisen also am Pass oder die haben einen Wunderkoch, was ich nicht glaube. Der Service sollte schon darauf achten, dass man das bestellte Essen nicht zu schnell und noch während des Aperitifs liefert. Ansonsten war alles sehr gut. Das Hotel kann ich nicht rezensieren, da wir nur Gäste im Restaurant waren.

Auf der Suche nach gutem, regionalem Bodenseefisch sind wir gestern im Restaurant Alte Post in Meersburg gelandet und waren rundum begeistert. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der ausgezeichnete Service. Vom ersten Moment an wurden wir freundlich und aufmerksam betreut. Die Getränke kamen sehr schnell, das Essen wurde zügig serviert und auch das Abräumen verlief absolut reibungslos. Dabei hatte man nie das Gefühl, dass es hektisch oder unpersönlich war. Im Gegenteil: Das Team war aufmerksam, professionell und stets präsent, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Kulinarisch hat uns der Besuch ebenfalls überzeugt. Wir hatten beide eine Fischplatte, die hervorragend zubereitet war. Die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend, der Fisch frisch und sehr lecker. Auch der Vorspeisensalat hat uns positiv überrascht und war die perfekte Einstimmung auf das Hauptgericht. Insgesamt ein wirklich gelungener Restaurantbesuch mit tollem Essen, hervorragendem Service und einer angenehmen Atmosphäre. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können die Alte Post uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren mehrmals zum Abendessen zu Gast!! Sehr freundliches Personal,geringe Wartezeiten und eine Speisekarte die es nicht einfach macht sich zu entscheiden!! Sehr schmackhafte und reichliche Portionen!! Felchen mit Bandnudeln und Knoblauch zaubert einen doch prompt Pippi auf der Zunge!!! Danke wir kommen gerne wieder!!

Hat gut geschmeckt, kann ich nur empfehlen

Wir hatten zu zweit keine Reservierung zum Abendessen, konnten aber bleiben und zu Abend essen. Da wir keine Übernachtungsgäste sind, kann ich zu dem Hotelbetrieb keine Angaben machen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einen Stern Abzug, weil das Steak mit den Pommes etwas lieblos auf dem Teller lag, außer einer Scheibe Zitrone mit Kräuterbutter war keine Dekoration darauf. Die Felschen mit Spargel und Kartoffeln haben sehr gut geschmeckt, auch hier war außer etwas Petersilie der Teller etwas karg. Das Restaurant hat seeseitig Außentische - nach drinnen sind allerdings Stufen zu überwinden.

Durch die aushängende Speisekarte sind wir auf das Restaurant aufmerksam geworden. Wir hatten Glück und für uns war noch ein Platz frei. Wir wurden freundlich und zügig bedient, dass Essen hat nicht lange auf sich warten lassen und war lecker.

Wir waren als Familie zum Essen im Restaurant. Netter und zuvorkommender Service. Das Essen (vom Spätzlekinderteller, über Felchenfilet auf Blattspinat bis zum Jägerschnitzel) war hervorragend. Frisch zubereitet mit angenehmer Wartezeit, kam alles zusammen auf den Tisch. Ein Restaurant mit vernünftigen Preisen, was heute leider eine Seltenheit geworden ist. Die Lage direkt an der Strandpromenade ist einzigartig. Vielen Dank und weiter so.

Hübsches kleineres Hotel direkt am See, sehr freundliches Personal, angenehme Preise.

Wir bewerten hier das Restaurant, welches wir am Donnerstagabend um 16 Uhr besucht haben. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und man sitzt sehr schön vor dem Haus und kann den Touristen und dem Bodensee beobachten. Die Leute am Souvenirs-Kiosk haben nicht gestört. Die Speisen sind hervorragend. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Zu empfehlen ist die Fischplatte, die sogar mit Salat und Kartoffeln geliefert wird. Das Bier der Brauerei Post in Weiler im Allgäu ist sehr lecker. Die Toiletten sind sauber. An einem milden Tag im März ist der Besuch hier ganz erholsam, weil wenig Touristen da sind.

Leckeres Essen mit schöner Aussicht über den Bodensee. Die Speisekarte ist nicht überladen und schön übersichtlich. Das Essen selbst war schnell gebracht und wirklich lecker. Die Servicekräfte waren freundlich und hatten selbst im Stress ein Lächeln. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Da angekommen, Restaurant hat zu obwohl laut Google offen ist. Sowas ist heutzutage ne frechheit. An der Tür hängt noch irgendein Zettel vom letzten Jahr, macht einen schlampigen Eindruck.

Wir haben ein Doppelzimmer mit Seeblick gebucht. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und hat auf unsere Anfrage, früher einzuchecken super freundlich reagiert. Das Frühstück war top. Die Zimmer waren sauber, aber halt älter zum Teil. Die Lage, vor allem zur Therme, ist herausragend.

We only had a snack. The Maultaschen soup was too salty for my taste. I added a good amount of water. The wine was of poor quality and correspondingly cheap.

The restaurant is located right on the lake. The food was very good and served quickly, even though we were there with a larger group. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We would gladly return.

We can't comment on the room, we only ate here. The food was delicious and we enjoyed it. I took a seat in the sun on the terrace. Due to the Meersburg wine festival, there were plenty of seats available, but they still (and this is the real problem) wanted to seat me at a tiny table in the corner, in a completely unfriendly manner. They could have easily seated another couple at my table. Or they could have used a different tone. I've never been addressed so arrogantly and rudely in Meersburg by the somewhat older female server.

I ate there twice. The prices were reasonable, the dishes I ordered were delicious, especially the fish dishes. The fish was super fresh. The staff was very friendly, and I'd be happy to come back.

Absolutely terrible! The staff were so unfriendly that it took your appetite away. We wanted to have a quiet drink in the evening – as soon as our glasses were empty, we were practically thrown out without a word of politeness. I've rarely experienced such disrespectful behavior. Just don't go there – there are plenty of restaurants nearby where you're still valued as a guest!

Unfortunately, it wasn't good. The knuckle had no crust, just soft fat. Slightly dry and barely seasoned. Still, 2 points because they accommodated individual requests with salad instead of the standard side dish. Maybe it was just bad luck; the reviews were actually good.

We had a lovely meal on the terrace. A good chicken salad. The rump steak was delicious. The apple strudel was also delicious. We didn't stay overnight, so we don't know anything about the hotel.

We spontaneously walked in that evening when we returned by boat. It was pretty crowded, but we got a seat right away. Super fast service; the drinks and food arrived in record time and were excellent. Above all, the friendly gentleman was extremely professional, prompt, and in a good mood, and even recognized that we were from Franconia. Many years of experience and top-notch service! We'd go back anytime!

My wife, our son, my mother-in-law, and I went there on Mother's Day. The food was okay for the price. The behavior of the waiter, however, was not just unacceptable, it was unacceptable. My mother-in-law relies on her walker, and our 2.5-year-old son also needs his stroller. We positioned both the walker and the stroller so that the waiter had enough space to walk through. However, it was noticeable that this still bothered him, and he served us reluctantly. When we had finished eating and were about to pay, the waiter grabbed the walker and put it outside without asking. The fact that my mother-in-law is seriously ill and can barely walk was probably irrelevant. We have eaten at this restaurant several times and have been satisfied so far. Apparently, customs have changed there, and guests with disabilities or very young guests are not welcome. It's good that there are other restaurants, which we will now try.

Great location. Right on the pier, with views of Lake Constance and the mountains. Service was friendly and helpful. Short wait times for the food. Okay value for money. The food tasted okay, but could have been presented with more care. We personally found the portions too small and too small for the price. All in all, it was okay, but it didn't blow us away.

Had dinner here during a short vacation on Lake Constance. Very friendly service! I ate freshly prepared Kretzer fillets without having to wait long. Very fresh and delicious, reasonably priced, and well worth the price. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us – the homemade spaetzle was very greasy, the Wiener schnitzel wasn't very tasty and the quality could have been improved, and the sauce was tasteless. The only highlights were the good location and the very friendly staff. Overall, therefore, we unfortunately don't recommend it.

The restaurant is located directly on the promenade. You have a wonderful view of Lake Constance. The food there is really delicious and reasonably priced. The food was freshly made and tasted very good. There was enough choice and also some vegetarian dishes. Dishes could also be adjusted upon request. The service was top. The waiters were all very friendly. Overall it was a very pleasant and delicious experience. I would definitely visit the old post office again on my vacation.

We spontaneously came across this restaurant today because we were looking for a delicious pork knuckle and we were not disappointed. Short waiting time, good value for money, delicious food, nice atmosphere and great service!!!! We were served by Nico and were 1000% satisfied, he was very attentive and always made sure that we were well looked after. Guest satisfaction is the top priority here. We would love to come back when we are at Lake Constance again. Can only warmly recommend the restaurant. Beautiful view of Lake Constance.

Went there as a couple to have something to eat. I had ordered a medium steak but it came “all the way through”. Actually it wasn't an issue because it still tasted good. Without me saying anything, we both got a free dessert to make up for it. Such great service and great feeling. Gladly again and again

Went for dinner with 4 people... our service (blond hair) was simply great, any change in the food was no problem, a second spoonful for the soup was no problem, no matter what - it was no problem and was implemented. Service 5 stars. Had 4 different dishes and all of them were on point...the chef had outdone himself - 5 stars+ Price-performance is great, the view over the lake is beautiful and we would like to come back

The restaurant is right on the promenade and the service was very friendly. We ate fried fish with mixed salad and potato salad. The fish was okay, you can't go wrong here. The salad and potato salad were really subpar. The potato salad had half a potato in it and the salad dressing and the potato salad sauce were not edible. The cook should get further training in this area. If we didn't live so far away, then he could get "tutoring" from my wife.

Tastes good, but points are deducted for several reasons. We didn't like the atmosphere, nothing comfortable, somehow nothing fit together. More regional food would have been nice, potato salad ordered instead of potatoes (not additional) was charged €2.50. Everyone!!! Guests who came in were told that nothing was available and everything was reserved. After much deliberation back and forth, it was said that we could have a place, with a maximum time slot of 1.5 hours. This gave the impression that we had to leave quickly to clear the table for the next guests and it was fitting that our food came so quickly that I hadn't even eaten half of my salad beforehand. Overall ok for us, but nothing more. Location right on the lake is of course great, but outside it is uncomfortable due to the location right on the promenade.

I tried it with my wife for the second time...(have been restaurateurs ourselves for 20 years) underground! First the wrong food came, then it came out of the microwave with the right side dish and the main course was cold! The waiter probably already noticed that we were restaurateurs and to be on the safe side didn't even ask if it was ok this time!!! Mondamin sends his regards... Then it's better to go to McDonalds, because we know beforehand that we'll regret it later and pay less

Very tasty food, great view of the lake, great service, short waiting time, what more could you want? Eight of us went there spontaneously. Had various fish dishes (including whitefish with rice), vegetarian dishes (including dumplings with chanterelles) and something from the children's menu. All recommended. Would love to come back.

The service was very friendly. The atmosphere is very nice because the restaurant is located directly on Lake Constance and you have a good view of the lake. The food was very tasty and the price-performance ratio was reasonable.

Great place, I recommend it to everyone. Hotel in the best possible location right on the edge of the promenade on the shore of Lake Constance. Rooms clean and fresh. The buffet breakfast is always fresh, the service is fast and very nice (especially Mrs. Irenka from Poland) and you won't have to wait long. Kawusia always in the morning with a wonderful view of the blue lake. The hotel is right next to the marina - you can get to every corner of the lake by boat in just a few minutes. When the weather is good, you can see the beautiful peaks of the Alps on the Swiss and Austrian parts.

Ordered fish plates here, good advice on the types of fish, everything was delicious, reasonably priced and a great view.

Food tasted like it came from the freezer, salad was good, but not much. The service spoke German semi-well, the food was too expensive for what you got.

We had an apartment with a wonderful view of Lake Constance. The apartment consisted of 2 spacious rooms with bathrooms. Breakfast had something for everyone and was always sufficient. Dinner very tasty.

The Schnitzel and Schweinhaxe meat plates were very disappointing. Both dishes were extremely fatty and oily, with the meat tasting non-fresh and stale. Inside, meat was extremely dry. Did not meet expectations.

If you would like to eat on the promenade and at a very good price, you are in good hands here. And the food is very tasty. We'll be back again. 👍🏻

Stopped in spontaneously. Service very courteous and nice. Fast service. We had knuckle with fries. What was positive was that the food was not overly seasoned in any way. Salt and pepper are available at the table, so seasoning is no problem. The prices are cheap! The house wine is highly recommended and the cappuccino is very tasty. Little wine eye, unfortunately it wasn't available lactose-free. Still 5 stars because the rest was great.

I can't say anything about the hotel, we just ate on the promenade. Food was tasty, price performance was ok. Maultaschen were convenience but tasty. My travel companions' pasta with spinach was good according to their opinion. So all in all a solid restaurant.
