Great spot right at the shoreline in Rostock. Love the interior, the delicious food and excellent service. We came here for a spontaneous dinner and were seated immediately.

We used Otto's a year ago for our memorial service after a funeral and can't praise the restaurant enough. It was prepared for us with such warmth and according to our wishes. We had part of the ship to ourselves, so we felt completely private. The food was fantastic, the service attentive and incredibly friendly... and they were always so sweet to our youngest guests, who were spontaneously surprised with adorable magic tricks and even allowed a peek into the kitchen 🤗 A large part of our family, friends, and acquaintances even spent the entire afternoon and evening on the ship... and we can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant with its lovely staff 🫶! Now we use it again and again... whether for a spontaneous, delicious lunch, a romantic evening for two, or a fun get-together with a small group. And every time, all the guests are absolutely thrilled 🤩 A heartfelt thank you – finally in writing – to the entire ship's crew! 🚢 You are AMAZING! 😊

Unfortunately, the usual quality could not be maintained. We have been enthusiastic customers of this restaurant for a long time. Sadly, last night was a disappointment. The fish soup was a bland and tasteless mush that didn't come close to the usual quality. When we told the waiter this, he replied, "You should have said so right away; there's nothing I can do now." The leftovers were ignored. We found this behavior incomprehensible and completely unacceptable.

We dined at Otto's Restaurant Schiff with the whole family and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Even the appetizer – fresh prawns accompanied by a generously filled bread basket – was a delight and perfectly set the tone for the rest of the meal. For our main course, we opted for the Kutterburger, whose meat patty was cooked to a perfect medium – juicy, flavorful, and superbly seasoned. The dessert, a delicate crème brûlée with tonka bean, was also a culinary highlight and a lovely finale. The drinks selection is impressively diverse: from non-alcoholic beverages and an appealing wine and beer list to delicious cocktails and specialty coffees, there's something for everyone. We would particularly like to commend the excellent service – attentive, friendly, and always on hand. All in all, a truly wonderful evening. We will definitely be back!

We only visited Otto's restaurant ship in Rostock for coffee time, but it was absolutely worth it. We had a homemade apple crumble with vanilla sauce and a Belgian waffle with hot cherries and vanilla ice cream – both were delicious and very reasonably priced. The ship is very cozy and tastefully decorated; you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. The staff was also incredibly friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Rostock!

It was a very nice stay. Unfortunately, the table reservation didn't work out, which I was quite disappointed about, as it took 10 minutes to get a table. It was supposed to be something special for me and my grandmother, and then we had to sit right by the exit overlooking the parking lot instead of the promised water view. Next time, I'll reserve a table in person beforehand so that this doesn't happen again. I'm a bit sad about it because I traveled all the way from southern Germany and wanted to give my grandmother a special treat. The food was excellent, and the second server was also very kind.

The schnitzel was good and plentiful, but at €25, the price was far too high in my opinion. The service was excellent: relaxed, friendly, and attentive. For a restaurant ship, I felt it lacked a nautical ambiance (especially in the basement). The location, being very close to the hotels, is perfect for small and large groups with reservations. There was a party going on upstairs, and the music was very loud, making conversation on the ground floor difficult. However, the music selection was really good.

A fantastic restaurant in Rostock! The four of us were here for lunch and were absolutely thrilled! The atmosphere is beautiful and really cool, being right on the water. They have a great selection of food and drinks. We were especially impressed with the lunch menu; you get a really delicious lunch for a great price. The service was super friendly and fast. Delicious food and a great view over the Warnow River. We had Otto's fish platter for two, and it had truly delicious fish. Each of us got a piece of plaice, pike-perch, and salmon, along with plenty of steamed vegetables. The lunch menu, which changes every week, is also a special feature. I highly recommend it. It's a delicious experience well worth having!

It was a spontaneous idea to go out for dinner on Saturday evening, but we made a reservation for Friday evening. It worked out perfectly. The atmosphere was fantastic. It was stormy and raining outside, but it was incredibly cozy. The staff was very friendly, and the food was amazing. The sailor's schnitzel and shoulder roast, as well as the beef carpaccio as starters, were highly recommended.

We reserved a table online – it was easy and everything went smoothly. Great atmosphere and friendly and approachable staff. Our questions were answered patiently. The food was excellent from the starter to the dessert. It was fantastic all around. Even the seemingly small things like a clean restroom – even with hygiene products – thank you for everything.

We were there for lunch with our child. The service was exceptionally friendly, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was very pleasant. The food was exceptionally good value for money. We ate from the lunch menu; generous portions and good quality. The 0.75l bottle of Güstrow mineral water for €7.50 alone isn't entirely understandable. I can therefore recommend the restaurant ship (almost) without reservation.

Great ambiance, the best service we've had in a long time (unobtrusively attentive and hitting the right note with all guests), and delicious food. The homemade lemonade and mustard sauce are highly recommended. Unfortunately, the food is a little lacking in terms of a five-star rating. The fish was cooked a bit too long for my liking, the vegetables weren't cooked enough, and the decorative crackers needed a bit more flavor. But those are minor details; I would still come back anytime.

We had our friends' night at Otto's. I had made a reservation in advance. When we arrived, we were greeted very politely and shown to our beautifully set table. The staff was simply fantastic, very polite, attentive, and you could see that everyone enjoyed their work. The drinks and food were excellent. Dessert was served in flower pots. A great idea. The value for money is top-notch! I recommend anyone in Rostock to eat at Otto's! Thank you for the wonderful evening!

I mistakenly made a transfer to this account, believing it to be a reputable institution (SCHUFA). However, the money ended up in this restaurant's account. When I called them, I received no support, just a shrugging, "We don't know anything." It's absolutely frustrating and disappointing to be left alone in such a situation. It was a nightmare for me—lost money, no help, no clarity. An experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. Very sad and shocking.

Don't be fooled by the exterior appearance; inside lies a wonderful restaurant. We reserved a table a few days in advance by phone with a friendly young man, with a small request, which was fulfilled. The service was friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. All the dishes were perfect and very tasty. The ambiance, the table settings, and the wonderful view were perfect. We only found one small thing a little off-putting, and that was the mayonnaise and ketchup bottles; they somehow didn't fit (just a side note). What we did like, however, was that guests could help themselves to as much mayonnaise and ketchup as they wanted. We spent a wonderful evening at Otto's Restaurantschiff.

We were greedy for a voucher and took the time to enjoy it today. It was packed at lunchtime, but there were still plenty of free seats. Friendly service, pleasant ambiance. The menu has something for every taste. From rustic braised cabbage to culinary delights. We chose dishes from the weekly changing lunch menu and were very satisfied. Plenty and very tasty. It's certainly something to enjoy with a view of the Warnow. The aperitifs are particularly recommended, well-mixed and chilled. Conclusion: Everything was perfect; the restaurant ship is highly recommended. We'll be back: definitely, and not just because there's still plenty left on the voucher.

With a table reservation for 6 people, this is a brilliantly located venue for a lovely evening with fantastic food, very fresh and creatively prepared.

A beautifully located restaurant with a good selection of dishes. The fish platter for two is particularly recommended. The barraquito, which you normally only find in the Canary Islands, is particularly impressive. The service is also very friendly.

We were greeted warmly at the door and immediately given our seating recommendation, which offered us a lovely view of the Warno River while we ate. We arrived without a reservation, and the restaurant was well-attended. Our order was served with minimal wait time, and the fish and side dishes remained pleasantly warm the entire time. Update 08/2025: Unfortunately, things have gone downhill; the portions are very small for the price. Of the three different types of herring in one menu, only one variety remains (2 pieces), and the other menu, with mashed potatoes and a small piece of salmon, came with a salad without any dressing. It's such a shame, because we've eaten here every time we visit Rostock (several times a year). Yes, we know everything has gotten more expensive; smaller portions would be fine. But the taste is no longer as special as it once was, and that disappointed us.

We didn't have to wait very long for our lunch. Everything was delicious, reasonably priced, and kept us full for the whole day until late in the evening. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We sat outside in a lovely beach chair and were able to fully enjoy the weather and the view ☺️ We'll definitely go back next time we're in Rostock!

Great food, super friendly service but three areas to be - outside infrastructure of the ship you see just cars and you can observe the kitchen. Other place outside you can spot the Warnow - to recommend in summer and inside at the window if window is open - just brillinat if not outstanding 😉

It's okay, but nothing exceptional. The meal, cod fillet, was fine. Unfortunately, one friend's Wiener Schnitzel had a large hole in the middle, making it about 15% smaller than the other friend's. It was criticized and replaced. I was surprised, however, that the chef came up shortly afterwards and discreetly asked a member of staff to show him which guest had criticized the meal.

The food was surprisingly simple – but that's exactly why it was so good! The fish platter was a real highlight: simple, yet perfectly prepared, with absolutely perfect flavor. The side dishes were also well-thought-out and harmoniously balanced – nothing over the top, just what was needed. The price? More than justified for this quality. I was thrilled, I really didn't expect it. A nice, straightforward menu with something for everyone. Although it looks like a small boat from the outside, the interior is a miracle of space.
