We were a group of 2 people and had made a reservation online, which wasn't absolutely necessary. After 5 minutes the drinks arrived, 15 minutes later our food arrived. It was very tasty, the service was very attentive and quick. The dessert was amazing! The arrangement in the flower pot is fascinating and super delicious! Big praise to you! And the atmosphere with the sunset is simply fantastic.

Visited the restaurant on a Friday evening. A table was quickly found and the drinks were served quickly. The food was great, could have used a little more sauce on the burger. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly. What I would like to note, however, is that after serving the first drinks and food, you can also go back to the guests and ask if they would like any more drinks or dessert. We waited for a while and then went to the counter to pay.

The atmosphere was amazing, especially the sunset made everything even more beautiful. The food was also very good, we had the tapas plate for 2, it was very good, even if there was only one shrimp on it. The main course was matjes and cutterburger, both of which were very tasty. Quite inexpensive but worth it. Service was good too!

A beautiful restaurant with great views and delicious food. The mixed starters are highly recommended but a lot if there are only two of you.

The food is good but the main reason i always visit Otto is the view and atmosphere of the place. I recommend the shrimps as starter and the schnitzel as main dish

Everything fresh and very delicious. The best halibut I've ever eaten with beetroot mashed potatoes and pointed cabbage. We really enjoyed the ambience and the food. There is also a delicious and inexpensive children's menu. The staff is really attentive and very friendly. Top restaurant!

Ambiance 10/10 Appearance of the food 10/10 Taste 2/10 I was really disappointed with the food, especially because everything else around it was promising. In terms of taste, I thought I was eating ready meals, especially the mashed potatoes seemed like they came out of a bag, the same with the coleslaw. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. Everything was very bland so I had to add more salt, which I never do otherwise. Too bad.

Very (!) friendly and attentive service. Also very child friendly. For the kids, among other things, mashed potatoes, hand-made fish fingers and colorful vegetables for 6 EUR are great. The fish DUO for 25 EUR tasted OK, but the cost of goods wasn't quite what I wanted: two perfectly fried but way too small pieces of fish, and far too many turmeric pearl onions... Unfortunately, wild garlic-K-Mash had already cooled down despite the preheated plate.

We had reserved and were even allowed to choose whether we wanted to sit inside or outside. The fish soup was a dream, as was the fish platter for 2 P and our nice young waitress was also able to inspire us with a dessert. The sea buckthorn liqueur is unsurpassed. We also bought a bottle straight away. Unconditional recommendation from us. If we end up in Rostock again, we'll definitely see each other again...

A wonderful, special place by the water where you are very well looked after. The atmosphere still resonates with us and the food was simply great!!! We'll be back!!!

Yesterday there were 4 of us (two adults and two children) eating in the restaurant. When you made your reservation by phone you were treated very kindly and you were given the opportunity to make a reservation spontaneously (3 hours in advance) with a seat at the window (to watch the sunset). Once we arrived we continued. Here again there was a very friendly and attentive reception and service at the table. The evening was made even more pleasant for us by the food, the drinks, the view and the very nice and humorous waiter. (I'm just saying magic tricks for the kids). Many thanks to the entire team! You gave us a wonderful evening and we would love to come back next time. Definitely recommended if you want a nice dinner with ambience and first-class service. Keep it up!

It was very tasty. There is a 0.5 star deduction because of the waiting time. Everything takes a little longer. So bring your time. Otherwise everything is fine. Parking is a bit difficult when the circus is there.

You will be welcomed by staff who really understand their craft. A great welcoming culture where being present is fun. Ambience exceptional. I've never seen anything like this anywhere. One assumes not on a ship. Food is good, but falls short of expectations from the atmosphere and staff. Meat is of very good quality, schnitzel is highly recommended. Burger - here you should work with sauces so that it doesn't get too dry. The bowls are plentiful, but a light dressing (can also be booked additionally) would have been nice. The desserts are good again, although the interpretation is sometimes incomprehensible. Why do you top a crème brulee with melon? To do this, the cumble is arranged in the flower pot. Nice idea. What will also be remembered is the very accommodating treatment of the guests. We forgot a starter, but we got a free dessert. I think it's very generous. Overall, however, a nice evening with a few minor drawbacks.

It tastes okay, but too expensive. I can cook something like this myself at home. It's not worth it at all :/

Good food with a touch of magic. Friendly service, good food and above all very good portions that are worth the price. And at the next table, the waiter showed the little guests one or two card tricks - so they make every effort to make all the guests happy. Of course, eating on the river and the view of the Warnow is also a pleasant special feature. We'd love to come back.

Highly Recommended. Extremely great staff with fun service. No artificial friendliness, just relaxed and simply nice. There were four of us and everyone thought the food we chose was simply great. We sat inside and the ambience was very good.

One of the worst restaurants I've ever been to... Kutterburger (19€) doesn't taste good. Fries were OK. For dessert we had crème brule orange. I've had many Creme Brules but this was by far the worst. Despite the nice place and ok service. NOT AGAIN.

Today we came here to eat again for a long time. Luckily I had reserved a table yesterday. Because when we arrived, the restaurant and the outdoor area were very busy. It is therefore advisable to always reserve a table in advance. As always, the food and drinks were very good and tasty. I would also like to mention the excellent service! Always a smile on our face and solution-oriented when we had requests or questions. Definitely our favorite restaurant!!!

We spontaneously went to dinner yesterday and chose a nice place on the terrace. The waitresses were all super friendly, the drinks were very tasty, for example the Baltic Sea. And the food was really fantastic. I can only recommend the mustard celebration, not only a visual highlight but also in terms of taste. We will be back definitely.

Food and ambience were great! We sat down in the ship, also very beautiful at sunset. I got a little dizzy, maybe because it wobbles slightly or because of the wave reflection from the sun on the ceiling, you should keep that in mind if you are sensitive to that. We had: Creamy fish soup, sailor schnitzel, halibut fillet, duet of zander and halibut, chocolate cake and apple crumble - all HIGHLY recommended.

Today we went to Otto's ship restaurant again!!! It was right again and the cooking levels of the flap steak and Strindberg were very well done and tasted great and the dessert mango crumble was the highlight.

The food tasted very good and the view of the Warnow was wonderful. Unfortunately, we were constantly harassed by women dressed as grandmas who spoke to us. These were probably paid for by the restaurant as an entertainment program. However, we were very uncomfortable being disturbed at the family dinner, but the women were unable to understand that we felt disturbed by them. The other guests were also uncomfortable with the disruption.

Went outside to eat fish. Nice view over the “Warnow” included. Overall good average.

A beautiful restaurant, idyllically located on the Warnow. Friendly and attentive service and a menu with modern interpretations of regional classics. We were here several times in 2023 and 2024 and loved it every time. Prices are appropriate for the quality.

It was the first time in Rostock (on business) and the hotel recommended this restaurant to us. A floating restaurant is already something, even when the weather and sunshine are reasonably good... ;) On the upper floor you had a great view of the harbor basin and the ferry service. But the food was also excellent - I had the three types of herring with fried potatoes, but definitely tried the cookie sundae (or something similar) as a dessert, absolutely cool.

The ambience is unbelievably great. Beautifully furnished and with a view of the Warnow, it couldn't be better. The food was solid, but the price was also quite high. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the service. Only half of the drink order was brought, the other half was simply forgotten. No apologies whatsoever. You had to bring just as much time with you because it took forever for anyone to come to us to take orders. Even towards the end we had to keep saying that we would like to pay. In the end I visited the counter twice. This can definitely work better. Maybe we were just unlucky that day. Otherwise, as I said, a great location.

Otto's: A floating dining experience It was our first time at Otto's, the charming restaurant ship. We felt comfortable as soon as we entered. The atmosphere on board is simply great and the employees are super attentive. On our first visit we opted for the fish platter for 2. The portion was generous and everything on it tasted fantastic. There was a small bread basket beforehand, which was perfect to stave off hunger until the main course arrived. For dessert we chose the Orange Crème Brûlée and the Chocolate Cookie Sundae. Both were a real pleasure and rounded off the meal perfectly. On the second visit we skipped the appetizer and tried the Kutterburger and Kurtis cheeseburger, each with fries. The burgers were huge, juicy and full of flavor. For dessert there was the chocolate biscuit sundae again and also an apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. Although we were actually full after the main course, we just couldn't resist the desserts. We were particularly enthusiastic about the refreshing summer gin. Summarized: - Ambiance: The restaurant ship offers a wonderful atmosphere. - Service: The employees are attentive and friendly. - Food: Everything was delicious and the portions were plentiful. - Highlights: Fish platter for 2, cutter burger, Kurtis cheese burger, chocolate biscuit sundae, orange crème brûlée, apple crumble with vanilla ice cream, summer gin. Otto's convinced us across the board. Definitely worth a visit!

We found this restaurant via Google, made a spontaneous reservation and didn't regret it 😁 The interior design is simply magically beautiful, Thomas (our waiter) was very attentive and had a great sense of humor 👌😊 The food came quickly and tasted really delicious. We had "Ottos Tapas for 2", highly recommended! Oh yes, and the homemade iced teas are something completely different. Great restaurant, we can only recommend it 😁

Everything was great - gladly again

We celebrated my father-in-law's 90th BIRTHDAY today. It was very successful all around. The food was delicious and a great table was set for us. Very friendly, attentive service/support. It could not be better. Thanks so much.

The restaurant is very inviting and scores points with its ambience alone. You have a fantastic view of the Warnow and just feel good. We were convinced by the taste. There was only a short wait and the service was also great. The meat is sourced from Pistol Prime. During the week there is a lunch menu with changing daily specials from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We really liked it.

I invited a colleague to lunch. According to the receipt, the order was taken at 1:15 p.m., the meal - fried fish with potato salad - was served at 2:43 p.m., multiple requests were obviously not taken seriously, it must be mentioned that there were guests an hour after us came and received their food at the same time as us, we suspect that the staff took it very personally that I complained about the prosecco that was supposedly opened especially for us because it tasted like white wine. It should be noted that Otto's wasn't really super full. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed, I have never experienced that here before

I've been there for lunch several times and everything has always been great. Great ambience with a view of the Warnow, friendly service and delicious food. This time I had wolffish fillet on mashed potatoes from the daily lunch menu. It tasted very good and was really good value for 13 euros. Keep it up and I'll become a regular!

We went there for a quick bite as we were passing by. The dish served was the wrong dish & cold. Two orders were misplaced. In a hurry we accept it, as apologies for the misshapes we have been offered a cup of chocolate which arrived late. I would think twice waisting the place again.

We were guests here in the evening. In addition to the great ship's restaurant, there is also a small seating area on the pier. Here you can enjoy the sunset with a beautiful view of the Rostock harbor. I can highly recommend rosé wine for drinking. The food selection is varied, I chose the burger and was not disappointed. For dessert there was an apple crumble. The operation is a bit strange, we found it funny and got along well with it.

However, the price/performance wasn't really right (we can only talk about the vegan dishes here) The soup was delicious and worth every cent, but unfortunately the falafel bowl wasn't at all. Only consisted of a bit of salad and 5 falafel. (€16 is pretty steep for that) The orange pasta was delicious but ultimately a bit too expensive for us.
