Strandhotel Wilder Mann

Very nicely located restaurant directly on Lake Constance. The two of us were there for lunch. We had two different fish plates. Fish and side dishes were very tasty. A dish should include Riesling foam. Unfortunately I couldn't taste any Riesling from the mayo. The food is plentiful. There is still room for improvement in terms of taste.

We were there for dinner. Onion roast and fish platter were very good. Very nice service and great ambience right on the lake with a huge outdoor terrace.

Excellent location under the old castle and at the beginning of the climb that leads to the historic center. Right in front is the ancient tower. Simple but clean and equipped room, excellent quality breakfast. I congratulate the administration. I was only there one night and would go back just for breakfast.

I think I can't praise this restaurant enough, the food is extremely tasty, the staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is very nice, when we were there there was also music, people were dancing on the dance floor. Keep it up, we'll be back!

The wild man is now a really nice restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent. Good selection! The staff were all very friendly and very attentive. The restaurant is very modern, stylish and right on the lake. We felt very comfortable and will come back.

Very nice hotel with good service and newly renovated rooms

More appearance than reality! Staying in the suite for four nights in September 2024. First of all, very tastefully newly renovated and furnished suite. Unfortunately, the quality of the furniture does not last long for the changing guests. The quality of the furnishings is more for private households, but that's just a side note. The bathroom window has no privacy screen and invites guests from the rooms on the side to have an almost full view. There is absolutely no privacy in the bathroom! Here you have to help yourself and hang a towel over the window. Doesn't really look nice. When we asked the lady at reception about it, we were told that it was known but that some guests would otherwise not be able to enjoy the “lake view”. The suite has a lake view from the bedroom and living room. Who needs a lake view in the bathroom? The heating in the bathroom and all other rooms was completely non-functional at around 11 °C. The bath towels over the towel heater have no chance of getting dry. Minibar is not filled! Here you first have to go to reception and tell us what you would like to have in the minibar. Whether you use it all or not, it will be charged! Unfortunately, the difference to Pils or Hefeweizen is not known, so we unfortunately had the wrong type of beer in the fridge. If you want to contact the reception, you have to use your own telephone or visit the reception in person… if you then reach or meet someone. Unfortunately, this can take time. A hotel telephone in the suite, nil! One day the used towels were taken away but no fresh ones were brought. If you had only come into the room after 8 p.m. in the evening, you would not have had anyone to contact. The reception is only open until 8:00 p.m. After 8 p.m. you are on your own for your room or hotel needs. The smell from the restaurant's kitchen is extremely unpleasant, which penetrates the suite when the windows are open. We were completely surprised at breakfast. It's like a completely overcrowded youth hostel here. We thought that there couldn't be so many hotel guests at the Wilden Mann. When we asked, we were told that hotel guests from another hotel, guesthouse and holiday apartment eat breakfast at the Wilden Mann. It's really noisy and there's very little space in the breakfast buffet area. There are always queues at the buffet and in front of the coffee machines. A relaxed, leisurely breakfast was a non-starter for the four days. Unfortunately, there are also some negative things to report about the restaurant. We ate in the Wilden Mann restaurant every evening. The food was okay except for once. But this was sorted out by the waiter. You could set the clock accordingly and at around 9:30 p.m. the kitchen was being scrubbed with the door open. A comfortable end to the evening was therefore not possible. That doesn't work at all! We were invited to a family celebration during our stay and there were a few problems here too. I don't want to go into this in more detail, this is a matter for the host. You have to give it one star, but it is only justified for the beautiful view of Lake Constance and the location of the hotel. I won't go into detail about one or two little things that stood out negatively, otherwise it would go beyond the scope. In my opinion, the points listed definitely need improvement. Maybe you'll take this honest review to heart and try to improve one thing or another.

It was the best hotel on our entire trip. Cozy bay window room. Super comfortable bed and good pillows. We were particularly impressed by the carpet in the hallway, the great wooden stairs and the beautiful railing. Rich breakfast buffet. Everything you could wish for. We'd love to come back

Very nice, well-renovated hotel with a restaurant and dance hall. Located directly at the entrance to the lower town of Meersburg directly on Lake Constance. Beautiful, large terrace right on the lake. Staff friendly and quick. The room was great, but in our opinion, like the bathroom, too small in relation to the price. Breakfast great! No direct parking spaces. Parking spaces are approximately 300 meters away in a parking garage.

After we knew the Wilden Mann from the restaurant last year, this time we really wanted to spend our Lake Constance weekend in this beautifully located hotel. Our expectations were exceeded: The house was renovated with great attention to detail, the rooms are beautifully furnished, sufficiently large and have beautiful bathrooms with real water in the shower (we've had a completely different experience) The breakfast is excellent, it's sometimes a bit crowded, but you still get a nice seat and you never run out of anything. The selection is phenomenal and everything is always fresh. We have rarely experienced such friendly staff, always with a smile on their faces, you can tell that people enjoy working there. The food in the restaurant is very good and of high quality. Overall, the Wilde Mann can only be recommended, we are already looking forward to our next stay.

The hotel is conditionally recommended. My room was directly above the kitchen extractor fan and I couldn't open a window. The mattress was worn out and I had spiders and bugs in the room. The hot water took a very long time and was very weak. The breakfast was average. All in all, too high a price for too little performance.

Great restaurant, and “beer garden” with a great view of Lake Constance. Unfortunately, the prices here are totally exorbitant. Price-performance ratio disproportionate. My response to the owner's response... The price of a beer has nothing to do with ITS quality.

Were there for dinner with 4 people in the evening on August 9th. The food was great. Very lovingly and tastefully prepared. The service was very attentive and friendly and the view was fantastic. Prices and performance are appropriate. I can't comment on the rooms since we didn't stay overnight. But I can imagine that the way the house was renovated, the rooms will certainly meet today's requirements. We can recommend the house with a clear conscience. We spent 2 days in the BSB harbor with the always funny harbor master. The Muhr family from Hilzingen.

Dear team! I'm writing a review because I would like to see a change in the drinks menu. The menu lists a "gin and tonic" for €8.50 for 0.25 l, but it ended up costing €12.60!! Of course there wasn't 0.25 liters of gin in the glass, the tonic was served separately in a bottle. When I asked, the waiter only gave me the answer that the tonic would be charged additionally!? The house is in a great location, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is excellent!!

Double room for the price of 240 euros with breakfast is simply too high, we are totally shocked by the crowd at the buffet, as hotel guests from sister hotels also have breakfast in the Wilder Mann, sorry that was too much for us, hectic, crowding in the buffet, that didn't suit us If you like it, I won't book this hotel again, and the overpriced drinks at dinner, 1 liter bottle of water for 7.10 euros is a disgrace. Conclusion, price-performance is not right.

For a small piece of cake and a normal cup of coffee €7.10 as a bargain, well with tourists you can do it, bottle of water €7.10 (0.7 l) also a bargain.

We spent really nice days in this hotel the week before last, everything was excellent: the location of the hotel right on the lake and in the center of Meersburg. We had a wonderful view from our window, both directly over Lake Constance and on the other side towards the city. The breakfast buffet was very plentiful and tasty, as was the dinner with excellent service (a special thank you to Dolma).

Hey, I would have liked to eat there. Unfortunately, the waiters passed me at least 20 times, always busy. Only the majority of guests were acknowledged and they were given the card in their hand before they even sat down. But if you're single you don't count, sad. Otherwise very nicely located restaurant. It only gets 2 stars because it lies well.

We stayed with 8 people on Saturday, July 27th, 2024 in Meersburg at the Hotel Gästehaus Seehof. Breakfast was at the Hotel Wider Mann. We wanted to reserve a table for Saturday evening. They said we should come through in the evening and ask. The employee in the evening was so unfriendly and arrogant that we looked elsewhere. Maybe we weren't optimistic enough for the gentleman (motorcyclists in their prime) That was just outrageous

We just had dinner. But that was a pleasure. The staff was very friendly. The price-performance ratio was okay. The view is fantastic! 🌄

My partner and I have been traveling to Meersburg for around 12 years. Since the Wilden Mann reopened, we have only been staying at this hotel. Everything is just right there. The rooms are very nice, bright and above all clean. At the reception you are greeted in a friendly manner, I would like to highlight the receptionist Sascha. He is very attentive, guest-oriented and super friendly. He leaves nothing to be desired 👍 but the other staff also always strive to make the guest feel comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very rich, with everything your heart or stomach desires. The beautiful, large terrace right on the lake invites you to linger, be it for breakfast with coffee and cake or for dinner (delicious food) or just to end the day. You just feel good and don't want to leave at all.

We only had breakfast and were there to eat, we were in the hotel's sister house. Very good, rich and appetizing breakfast buffet. Very nice garden restaurant and also well-kept interior area. The menu was also excellent, highly recommended.

Historic building and beautifully mature garden to relax in! Terrace borders directly on the water, beautiful trees provide shade. In the back (hotel) garden you feel like you're in Italy with the palm trees! Fantastic place to eat or stay in Meersburg.

Very nice hotel and restaurant in a great location right on the lake. Courteous service. The food was also very tasty and high quality. Parking is very expensive - €15 per day plus tourist tax. You can get a parking permit for a deposit, but you still have to pay €15 per day for parking.

We were there for breakfast. That was very good. Large selection of hot drinks, juices, water. Rolls and bread, savory and sweet spreads and toppings. There is also plenty of fruit and vegetables. The tables are cleared quickly and everything is very clean. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Beautiful hotel right on the edge of Meersburg with great views of the lake. The rooms are newly refurbished with all modern amenities and plenty of outlets. The staff is friendly and all speak English. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and good quality. The WiFi is fast and reliable.

Excellent restaurant in an idyllic location on the shore of Lake Constance in Meersburg. We had lunch as a larger group and were warmly welcomed. The service was very attentive and courteous. All the dishes selected were very tasty and tasted wonderful. I can definitely recommend a visit!

We were there from the sister hotel and only had breakfast, but the staff were fantastic and the breakfast left nothing to be desired

The restaurant is a complete disaster. Our table was not cleaned by the staff. The cellars were very unfriendly in this regard. You see that guests are pointing out, you look at them and deliberately run away and throw derogatory looks at us. There are also some points regarding hygiene that are forwarded to the health department. It can't be that the staff serves the shirt while chewing gum, with the shirt open up to the chest. Furthermore, music is played far too loudly for separate wedding guests, which is very annoying for hotel guests. Then you simply have to reserve the restaurant for the wedding that day. The staff lounge is located near the women's restroom. Female waiters meet there to make video calls in Italian and another Asian waitress spends her time fixing her outfit. The food was ok

For people who don't want to travel by bike (we as hotel guests were "nicely" referred to a competitor (or leave the bikes in a public space overnight)) who don't feel like watching TV (TV flickers and makes nice colorful stripes) who I don't want to drink anything from the room bar (it's empty), I don't mind that the toilet lid doesn't have a lowering (so lower it slowly by hand) and I like the outdated toilet brush..... Note on the hotel's response, unfortunately no insight. Then maybe after our overnight stay a note, for a house with her standards and price range, the way her employee treated us was reserved and not appreciative, the delivery of drinks under our window at 5:30 in the morning (approx. 20 minutes ) and the loving request for “room number” on the way to the breakfast room without a morning greeting complete our impression.

We went here for dinner for the first time today and we were all very pleasantly surprised. The service was exactly as it should be, very friendly and accommodating. The food tasted very good and everything came in good time, first the starter and children ate comfortably and then the main course. The location is very nice and we also had a great view of Lake Constance. Keep it up, we'll be back soon.

First we were ignored on the terrace in the afternoon even though we asked in the restaurant beforehand. At dinner we were placed in a peripheral area due to an event. For dessert we had chocolate gelatine garnished with moldy berries. After that we were ignored again. There was no apology.
