Steinberger fillet quite fatty and salty. Not the level I expected given the reviews. A nice terrace and not expensive.

If you have bad reviews deleted, then a good review will come about. Really a shame. The customer deserves to get a realistic evaluation. And the fact that we had to wait a long time and then weren't served is simply the truth. A comment that something like that shouldn't happen and an apology would have been more honest.

This was our first time in Warnemünde for 2 weeks and, thank God, we ended up in Stromgold on the first day. We sat outside and just wanted to have a drink, which wasn't a problem at all, despite it being a fish "restaurant". From the next day we were also there for dinner - again great service (everyone was super friendly) - we were recognized straight away and were able to sit outside despite the icy wind (thanks to the patio heaters). The food was fresh, tasty and the quantity was more than enough. We also visited the “partner restaurant” Captain’s Schnitzel a few times and ended up back at Stromgold for a nightcap. When we are back in Warnemünde, we will definitely come by again. Now a special thank you and kind regards to Stefan (toi, toi, toi for Hansa Rostock / Borussia Dortmund), but the rest of the young team was also great - super friendly and attentive. Food was okay but the service was very irregular. The fish and chips are not recommended because the fish was very hard and the chips too, it wasn't very pleasant to eat.

I ordered fish and chips and waited with a clear conscience for the food. But what arrived was contrary to all the expectations that I had subconsciously made. At first it's not one big piece of fish but rather numerous small pieces of fish. It was also very unpleasant to eat the fish because it was far too hard to easily pierce. And not only was the crust hard, no no, the fish, which was supposed to be tender, also arrived very hard.

A great little restaurant. The service was extremely friendly and attentive, we were served quickly and felt completely at home. The food was fresh, very tasty and beautifully presented; you can taste that quality counts here. Absolutely recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a relaxed atmosphere.

Nice young team, even in the preseason (in March 2025) the kitchen is open until 10 p.m. Prices are okay. We had fish and chips.

Very nice to sit there. Unfortunately, the staff rarely come to the table and don't get attention quickly by waving because they usually look away. Food was okay. Good, but we've eaten better. Ordered gnocchi and got tagliatelle with 3 gnocchi in between. Little sauce on the noodles and little taste. Little side dish for zander. You don't feel full after a portion of fish. Prices quite expensive. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. But tourists pay it and that's why you can ask for it.

We ate outside in the most wonderful sunshine. A very nice friendly team looked after us. The food was excellent, three different types of fish at a great price and delicious vegetables and fried potatoes. So the visit was really worth it.

Waited at the table for 20 minutes and no one even came despite waving several times. Too bad. Unfortunately not a recommendation!

I'm sorry, but for me it was a total failure. Here is my order and the “result” CARPACCIO DI PULP & SALMON • €19.90 Olive oil, sea salt, wild herb salad & tomato - basically everything was missing here except the carpaccio. When I asked, the answer was snippy that there were no wild herb salad or tomatoes. Why the olive oil and sea salt were missing? No idea… WHOLE BREATH • 26.90 with Mediterranean vegetables, ciabatta & salad - the small sea bream was good. I already had ciabatta from the starter (seems to be enough...) The Mediterranean vegetables were cauliflower (learned something again - irony) and salad was probably all after the leaf on the starter... I skipped dessert... Also on the wine - since the preferred variety was no longer available (the neighboring table had already found out.)

We have been coming here to Stromgold for several years in a row to eat the fish platter for two people. Very nice restaurant, food tastes very tasty here. This year we unfortunately noticed that the plate has become almost half the size, but is also 10 euros more expensive!!!! We were very disappointed and won't be coming back. Too bad!!!

On Monday March 10th, 2025 my girlfriend and I visited the Stromgold restaurant in Warnemünde. Actually, I'm not a fish eater at all, but the modern, cozy atmosphere drew us in. We were so positively surprised by the super friendly service and the delicious food. I too was totally impressed by my fish dish and we would love to come back. Uta+Ute

The Stromgold restaurant is a pearl in Warnemünde. The telephone reservation already demonstrated perfect customer orientation. The employees do an excellent job even when the restaurant is fully booked and don't allow themselves to be stressed. To the guests you meet each other appreciatively at eye level. Many a restaurant would be happy to have such service staff. The drink selection is great. The fried fish with fried potatoes chosen by the rapporteur was 1A. The fish was translucent and the breading was fresh and crispy. The accompaniment decided on matjes with fried potatoes and also revealed a taste experience. The fried potatoes were fried to perfection. The interior of the restaurant shows the taste of the operator and radiates a warmth that invites you to linger. A reservation is definitely recommended. This was also done by the rapporteur for the following day. The Stromgold restaurant is a MUST in Warnemünde!

Nice little fish restaurant right on the Alter Strom with an open kitchen. Young, dynamic, very friendly team. I can recommend the very generous fish platter for at least 2 people. The various fish are of good quality and tasty. I want that kind of quality in a fish restaurant. Please keep it up. A table reservation is recommended at any time of the year.

Went to Gold Strom last night and a super funny and quick-witted bartender served us. Even though it was actually already the end of the working day, he served us and had some really funny sayings in store. The two plus seven thank us very much again.

Went to this restaurant on a Monday... very early (3:30 p.m.), everything was empty, unfortunately the Fischerklause was closed. If we wanted halibut and zander, with fresh cherry tomatoes, dill and lemon in a butter sauce, we got frosta vegetables warmed up in three liters of oil, the dishes were then served swapped by the arrogant waiter (he seems to have never eaten there before), when asked where the cherry tomatoes were the answer was that the Indian chef was still a bit tired...I've already experienced a lot but that was absolutely the bottom drawer...the excuse was 2 double espressos with ground coffee for one...I've never been served and treated like that...they'll never see me again...and I'd throw the waiter out along with the cook if I were the boss.

Nice little fish restaurant with a young crew. The fish platter I had was very good and tasty. This is also enough for 3 people if everyone has an appetizer. Secondly, we have just managed this. We also had fried potatoes and potato salad

Then it's better to take 2-3 Eu more, people pay that for quality. Unfortunately you don't have plaice fillet anymore, so we always ate there. It's a shame.

Went in in the afternoon on Reformation Day without a reservation and got a table for two without any problems. The fish plate for 2-3 was super tasty, we were able to replace the parmesan fries with fried potatoes at no extra charge and there was only one piece of one type of fish and we were immediately offered a second one. We declined because the plate was so rich overall. That's what I call service. We were completely satisfied and would be happy to come back when we are in Warnemünde again. Keep it up.

We had previously found out on the restaurant's own homepage when the restaurant was supposed to close in the evening. It said: ... open until midnight. We (2 people) arrived there at 9:15 p.m. and wanted to end the evening with cocktails. The restaurant was very busy at that time, almost all tables were occupied. Already on the front steps we were turned away by an employee who said that they would be closing shortly. When we asked and were assured that we would "only" stay for a cocktail, we were told that there was no longer enough time for that. At the same time, the heater was turned on for the guests at the table on the terrace. And all in all it didn't seem like all of the guests were going to leave in the next 30-45 minutes. We felt more than unwanted as guests. SHAME!

From the telephone reservation to the on-site service, it was really friendly and personable. Even though the salmon wasn't quite cooked the first time (which was fixed immediately) and the fries were a little too much with the cheese, we would absolutely recommend it and come back. The fish platter & the fried fish were great.

We looked for a restaurant on Mondays where the kitchen was open at least until 9 p.m. We also wanted to eat local fish. At Stromgold, the young male staff immediately met us in a friendly manner. We sat in the outdoor seating area in front of the restaurant from 6:00 p.m. to 9:35 p.m. We really enjoyed the Baltic Sea cutter plaice. The victory in “My Local - Your Local” is totally justified. LOKA Partner's slogan "We love regional" also applies to us. We'll definitely be back.

We were previously turned away from 2 other restaurants because they closed their kitchens at 8:20 p.m.… We were all the more pleased that the Stromgold spontaneously had a place available for us without a reservation. The service, the ambience and especially the food 10/10! Highly recommended!

Absolutely unspeakable. The entire staff and kitchen were overwhelmed. Above all, the waiter, who was extremely unfriendly when greeting us - suffering from severe high blood pressure or something else - was a disaster. In some cases he even gave untrue information about the inventory of the wine. Even ordering the drinks was a challenge. They took an incredible amount of time with everything and were visibly irritated. The fish soup consisted mainly of sodium glutamate and changed dramatically in substance after 5 minutes and simply became watery. The plaice certainly wasn't from the North Sea, but it was certainly thawed, almost mealy and without any real taste. Definitely avoid if you expect fresh and tasty fish.

The fish restaurant offers a large selection of delicious fish dishes. The restaurant is modernly furnished. The food was very well cooked and the fish platter for 2-3 people was excellent and plentiful. The service was very friendly and attentive.

The salmon was great, unfortunately half of the plaice consisted of bones. I'm particularly curious about an explanation as to why our food (including all the vegetables and the green dumplings) tasted like dishwashing liquid?! Sorry for the waiter, the service was otherwise good, but because of the aftertaste we couldn't leave a tip. One more little note: Please adjust your card again, e.g. to have three different spellings for fillet (Fielt, Filt) on one side is really macabre.

My husband and I went to Stromgold full of anticipation. We had great expectations because of the TV broadcast and the reviews, which were unfortunately bitterly disappointed. The service was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was quite cozy. The oysters tasted like harbor water, were brought without lemon and smelled very strong. I've already had chills after eating an oyster. Unfortunately, the carpaccio was the worst thing I've ever eaten: bland, unsatisfactory meat quality, brownish color, the sauce was a kind of gravy (?!) and you had to imagine the taste of truffles. In the end we were glad we didn't order more. Finally: Beer columns in a seemingly chic restaurant are also rather questionable...

Reserved a table online a week ago with the desire to sit outside. A reservation is only desired and possible for indoor use. Unfavorable at 30 degrees. Too bad. The overwhelmed staff was not interested in a solution. Due to high fluctuation and some waiting, a table became available. Fish of any kind is recommended. The pasta and vegetables were completely overcooked and gray. There are no plans for guests to come back here and unfortunately it is not the goal of the house. Here tourists are served in the passage.

Simply cannot be surpassed in terms of mediocrity. The boss makes big speeches on Instagram, but not much of it is implemented. Food was simple and expensive. Seating furniture is an imposition… waiters are not well trained… maybe do less talking and more….

We visited you for the first time today and were very, very disappointed. Had the vegan meal - cauliflower and pasta with chicken - bruschetta first. All in all... it tasted like nothing, even pepper and salt were missing. The vegan meal was missing hummus and the few leaves of lettuce were old and sandy. The court said nothing, let alone smacked of anything. The pasta just tasted like overcooked noodles and they were swimming in oil. Bruschetta was also unfortunately very neutral with huge pieces of onions in it. Service was nice, even if our criticism was not answered. I didn't want to be a creep and give a bad review, but when I saw the toilet...Very dirty, even if guests could be to blame + no towels, toilet paper or soap. I had already sent this message via Instagram and email. There was no response after 2 months. Therefore, here is a public review.

A great address, my salmon kebab was delicious. Unfortunately, both the avocado and the hummus were missing ;) but the friendly and very motivated waiter made up for it. Hope he stays in the restaurant, great behavior towards the guests!!

Hello, we were in Warnemünde for 1 week, the area was nice as always. Stopped in after a stroll and wanted a café au lait and a latte. The service was quick (since it wasn't that crowded, but unfortunately the café au lait and latte were the very last thing. Tastes are different Ok, but that didn't work at all - it's just a good thing that there are places (Twee Linden) that do it much better. When we're in Warnemünde we just walk past, it's not worth it for us.
